'What a boring day' you thought to yourself. Here you were, sitting in a land of bright pastel colored ponies, after being ripped from your home, your life, your job, your friends and your not existent love life. Yet with all these shaking events, here you were, sitting on a hill, with an achy shoulder, an empty wallet, and a lonelier home then even before you came to extra.
About 3 months ago something had happened. You will probably never understand yourself, but you remember what you were doing before. Extremely vaguely, but you do. It kind of hurts every time you think back, but you still have confusing dreams, nightmares even, about the events.
Thoughts for a later dates you suppose. Maybe you'll look back during the next nightmare, because you sure don't want the headache coming from it now. What you are willing to think about now however is what has happened since. After the incident, you were found in a forest, some place called Everfree. The local "ponies" had found you, you were brought to a hospital, and taken care of. The ponies had never seen a human before. Some were scared, some were intrigued, some were curious, but there was only one that was elated to see you. Something about a new friend? A lot of the ponies here were like that, happy about everything, always going on with their daily lives, and the weirdest part? They all knew where they belonged. They seemed to have their lives where they wanted to be, all knew how to do their best, and always succeed in life. You, however? You've never fitted in. You were always told how smart you were, how handsome you were, how talented you were. In all reality you were good at everything, there was one time in freshman year when your parents gave you this guitar, you had never even thought about playing guitar and yet the next day, you were ripping chords. There was really only one thing you have never been good with, and that was people.
You've had friends come and go, you've had your share of girlfriends, but the one thing you never had was a true best friend. The guy who would stick with you through hell and fire. As much as you wanted to, it seemed like people no longer wanted to be around you. You sort of pinned that to be the reason for you not freaking out on this new life's journey.
Once you got to Equestria and had been assimilated into Celestia's hierarchy, you had stayed with an awkward show mare named Trixie. She had been in Ponyville for about a month and helped you get on your feet, taught you the rules of the world, told you about all the modern trends and jokes. She even got you a job at this local construction company. After about a month, you settled down in an apartment you bought, and Trixie left town. You knew she would eventually, she had a career and she wasn't exactly loved by the pains of ponyville.
So like usual, you moved on. You were content with the way your life was now, every night just before sunset you would sit here on this hill. With one tree you named professor oak (he kinda had a thick skin though) and watch the sunset over Equestria. You always looked forward to it.You loved the breeze up here. It always brought a light chill with you, in a way it reminded you of your home in Pennsylvania on Earth. The breeze was light, enough to bring a chill, but never enough to make you cold. You loved the view. The colors seemed to fade from red, then into pink, then into orange as the sun sets further in the sky. On Earth the sun always seemed eager to sleep, fast to end it's long day, and encouraging the sunset to leave just as fast as it came. Here in Equestria however, Celestia liked to take her time. It was almost as if Celestia wanted each and every one of her ponies to get to enjoy the beautiful display after a long day of work. You loved the scents, tonight there seemed to be a light hint of rain, and the strong bite of electricity. You knew there was a storm coming, but it wasn't supposed to hit until right after the sunset was over, and honestly your night on the hill had become a bit too much of a ritual for you to sacrifice over something you know you can avoid, and besides? Your pretty sure professor oak will miss you. And lastly, you loved the sounds. You grow up in a wealthy family in a somewhat unpopulated town. Your family owned a large manor with a massive forest behind it. Even as an adult, you loved to explore the forest. Especially at night. The creatures all sang in a chorus of beauty, nature in it's purest form, and you were the only one disturbing it. The musicians didn't seem to mind your precense though. In fact, it's almost like they want you to come along and listen to their art. Suddenly the music was interrupted by a flash of light and about 10 seconds later a loud clash. The storm was starting and you were right in the center of it. Getting up you started gathering your things, when suddenly you heard a scream, and then everything went black
