Equestria Rising
•PROLOGUE•
Load Full StoryNext ChapterMy name is Pumpkin Cake. My brother, Pound, and I are in the ESO Monster Hunting Division of the New Equestria Federation's military. I can tell you are probably wondering what
that is. Well I would be glad to tell you our story right now, but perhaps giving you a backstory
To work off of would be best.
About twelve years ago, Equestria suffered a crippling economic depression. This event would
make way for all kinds of disaster, riots, robbery, assaults and attempted murders were common.
Eventually, the country was divided into five self-governing states, all of which hated each other.
The governors of each state even panned to wage war on each other. Before, of course, the
monsters took over.
They destroyed everything. Entire cities crumbled to their knees in wake of the beasts. They
tore their way through the land, gutting everything in their way. Nothing could stop them.
For the next six years, Equestria lie in ruins. Thousands of ponies fought every day to
survive the wasteland. Nature had begun to quickly reclaim what once belonged to it,
covering almost every building in every city in overgrowth. Most small towns were reduced to
ash and piles of wood and metal, any possible shelter was inhabited by one of many
beasts that had brought with them total doom. It seemed to be end of Equestria.
But we are far from the end. Eventually the new governors of the five states came together
to form the New Equestria Federation. They immediately began to gather attention from the
wanderers of the Equestrian wasteland. Once the had everyone's attention, they then elected to
make Canterlot the capital of New Equestria, not only that, but they would also expand upon it and
build more city around the mountain that Canterlot was built on. Not long after that the ESO Monster Hunting Division was formed,
along with a sturdy core military force. Equestrian Special Operations brought hope back to the ponies of New Equestria, and continues to bring death to any beast that dares threaten them.
For the first time in forever, ponies felt like they were safe. They were protected from the horrors
of the outside world. My brother and I decided that we wanted to make a difference, so we joined the
ESO Monster Hunters. It was a grueling sixty days before we in, but you can trust me when I tell you it was
worth it.
