Of Gods and Men
Utopia, the perfect kingdom and home to the Alicorns, was built at the base of the mountain which would home the beautiful city of Canterlot, and was ruled by Orgull. Orgull was a proud, kind, and just king, willing to fight for his people, and bring 'primal' Equestria under his reign. As a gesture of good faith, he put his most ruthless warriors, Moartea, Ciuma, Foamete, and Război, in prison, and sent out 'sages' to keep an eye on the masses: the arcane Unicorns, the robust Earth Pony, the agile Pegasi, the mysterious Zebras, the proud Griffons, the bold Minotaurs, the silent Saddle Arabians, and the arrogant Yaks.
After several years of performing 'miracles', bringing the dead back to life, among other feats, the sages were heralded as the voices of the gods, and the people willingly obeyed their every command, whether it was bring them a feast, or exiling a 'heretic'.
After this, Orgull became a father of two beautiful fillies, Llum and Fosc, day and night, Celestia and Luna, and was approached by the Oracle named Tan kap vini and was told a warning.
After locking up Tan, Orgull set the four warriors free and tasked them with one, and only one order: kill the heretics. Thus started the first war known to Equestria.
