The story follows a jealous Spike and his Super Sleuthing skills, on his mission to find out one thing: Who in Equestria is making Rarity act this way??

Rarity has been acting very strange lately, constantly backing out of plans, rushing out of places, and making poor excuses as to where she's going.
Spike suspects a Stallion. But the question is whom? And why is Rarity being so secretive about it? He is determined to find out, and when he does, he will rush to her rescue from the potentially abusive relationship he fears she's gotten herself into.

This Is How It Happened

It started out as a perfectly normal day; The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and when I think back, I remember noticing that the skies were particularly empty of clouds— no doubt, the Pegasi had gotten an early start on the preparations for the festival happening later in the afternoon. This led me to believe that everything would be just as it were supposed to; The weather can be deceiving like that.

I made my way to Sugarcube Corner to meet up with Twilight and the Gang, where everypony was being assigned tasks to complete for the celebration. The shop wasn't set-up in it's typical sugary-sweet fashion, but rather, all the tables wore burgundy tablecloths, and were adorned with the tastiest gems in Equestria— More than likely Rarity's idea for how to make the Royal Banquet satisfactory for the Princesses' taste. It's not everyday that all four of the Princesses come down to Ponyville, after all.
