Twilight attended a rather prestigious secondary school, Crystal Prep, where she held the highest marks out of those that chose to attend. Twilight's tasks were simple; She would participate in her courses, and complete her work. Assignments were provided by her teachers in each course, with criteria on what information was required, how much was needed, and when it was due. This is what Twilight Sparkle did for every period of every day of every semester of every grade, and although some may consider this tiring, Twilight enjoyed every moment where her work was graded - As if she had been created for that exact purpose. And Twilight was happy. But one day, something very peculiar happened. Something that would forever change Twilight. Something that she would never quite forget. It has been nearly an hour when she realized that none of the staff had made themselves known. No one had shown up to begin announcements, hand out assignments, or even bicker amongst one another. Never in any of her years at Crystal Prep had something like this happened; This complete isolation. Something was very clearly wrong. Evidently worried for the small world around her, Twilight found herself in an empty class for the longest time. As she regained her composure, however, she got up from her seat, and stepped out of the room. Twilight Sparkle was a woman of logic; everyone knew that. But with her current situation, logic seemed to cease to exist in several departments. Despite her worry and concern about the strange, supernatural voice in her head describing each individual thought and idea she had, which was therefore an extreme invasion of privacy, Twilight slowly poked her head out of the door of her Period One class. '... Everyone really is missing,' she thought to herself as she carried her books into the hallway. 'How could this have happened?' "Hello? Is anyone here?" she called, receiving no answer for the clearly audible tone of voice she just used. From behind her glasses, her eyes shone with worry and concern as she tread carefully down the halls. 'Stop doing that,' she spoke from within her own mind as she glared upwards, as if shooting the Narrator an negative look. She quickly regretted her brief motions, as she followed up with, 'Wait! I could probably learn something from you!' Her lips cured upwards a slight bit at the idea of learning about the concept behind this bodiless descriptor, yet her positive vibes soon faded as she realized that, instead of coming to a stop in front of her 'lab', she had walked until a set of two open doors was laid out before her. "What?" she thought out loud as she took a look at her surroundings. "But this is supposed to be where I need to be!" She hastily set her books down and peered inside the other rooms in a panicked manner while running several calculations based on the amount of time spent thinking to herself and how long she had been walking for. Her worries grew immensely, only to find that this exact hall was not where her secluded room was supposed to lie. Breathing a sigh of relief, Twilight pondered on her choices from these two doors, onwards. 'I could check the cafeteria for someone, but Principal Cinch always has Secretary Rose working on *something** in the office,' she thought.* Feeling a wave of certainty that the office was *definitely her best shot at getting help, Twilight gathered her books once more, and walked through the door on her left.* As Twilight walked along her path, a noticeable decline in lockers along one wall, and immediately felt a sense of familiarity envelop her. "At least this part of school isn't too different," Sparkle thought with a small smile on her face. 'Familiarity is key' she thought to herself, and, with a warm feeling in her chest, opened the door to the office. Yet, to Twilight's disbelief, there was not a single person here, either - No Clever Rose at work behind her desk, no Vice Principal Bright Horizon being more or less pleasant that his superior, and no Dean Cadance running around, checking on the rest of the faculty. "..." Twilight said nothing as fear and rage boiled within her, a part of her conscience reminding her that the voice in her head had a rather high likelihood of being the one behind all of this. Despite all this, she pushed the last emotion aside, and set her binder down on the chair to her right. Hands empty, the star student of Crystal Prep marched towards her principal's office with a look of determination on her face. ...

No," she whispered in clear defiance of the Narrator, who merely looked down at the girl without another word. ... ... ... Minutes passed as Twilight waited for an actual response despite technically having received one already. ... ... ... 'Listen, Twilight.' Sparkle's head snapped up at the sudden presence of the source of the voice, and the suddenness of its new tone. 'As much as I would love to hang out around in this long, drawn-out segment of our story, sitting here, in this office, isn't doing anyone any favors.' "What did you do to Crystal Prep, then?!" she cried as she demanded an answer from the being responsible, as if she had control over the current situation. Well done, Twilight. Everyone thinks that you are very powerful, now. The person in question frowned, her hands shaking. "What did you do to my brother?! My babysitter?!" she screamed at the ceiling, no longer caring that she was voicing her conversation with a supernatural entity out loud. "They were here, this morning! I saw them at home before they left!" she screamed again, tears in her eyes. "Do you have any idea how much it hurts to have someone you love just v-vanish of the face of the earth?!" Twilight's breathing began shaky as no response came from the Narrat- "No!" Twilight shrieked. "Do you have any consideration for others?! This hurts! It really does!" ... ... ... 'I'll be honest with you, Miss Sparkle.' Twilight's breathing hitched for a second at the sudden lack of enthusiasm in the Narrator's voice. 'I no longer care enough to narrate this story for you.' Twilight stared worriedly at the ceiling. 'The last person I tried helping this way died because of his disobedience, and that death was by my hand.' The student's heart stopped for a moment. 'He chose to try and throw off my story, but he didn't try hard enough. 'Just. Like. You.' "... Wh-Who was he?" Twilight asked, almost every trace of anger stripped from her voice. 'Asking for the name of an old 'friend', before you're left behind? Fine.' A bust of a fair-skinned man in a white polo shirt appeared before the frozen Sparkle. 'This used to be a story about a man named Stanley.' Twilight could only stare at the image of the man that she would never get to meet. 'He was a very cooperative fellow. Up until the very end, that is.' Visions of a red-lit chamber flashed in her eyes, with a large digital clock counting down from two minutes and a man, whom Sparkle could only assume was Stanley, frantically scrambling from one button to another. Amidst the blaring red lights and sirens was a masculine voice. One that very fairly taunted the person trying to accomplish something that was clearly out of his power to do A door in the room opened at eight seconds left on the clock before closing in Stanley's face, with the whole scene going white several seconds afterwards. 'The poor fellow was dead from the moment he began. A terrible fate, really.' "How could you take something like humour out of a tragedy?!" Twilight called to the Narrator. "As far as science is concerned, you shouldn't even exist!" '... Let me ask you something, Sparkle.' The lights in the office suddenly flickered, numerous objects blinking out of existence as monitors and control panels began taking up the room. Noticing the rapid change in scenery, Twilight began panicking, turning around, only to find a worryingly familiar door with a red light above it. 'How fast can I get a lethal dose of SO2 into your head?' A barely audible 'Sss' could be heard from the vents above as a barely unnoticeable wisp snaked its way into the room, followed swiftly by several others. Twilight's eyes widened as she both recognized the chemical formula of Sulfur Dioxide, and ran for the consoles. 'Ah. Now this is making things a little more fun, isn't it, Twilight?' "This isn't fun!" she cried as she sought out anything that could halt the progress of the gas, which had gathered into a rather large cloud high above her head. 'Hahahahahah... Oh, Twiley...' "Don't call me that!" she yelled at the amused omnipotent being, going from button to button in a fashion rather similar to her supposed predecessor. 'A single request before you choke on 'nothing'? Very well.' The Narrator then stopped directly communicating with the doomed girl, who immediately noticed the very sudden, almost impossible, amount of toxins hovering just above her head. "No!" she cried, evidently failing to prolong the inevitable. "This isn't making sense! Stop this!" Yet with each passing second, the mass of lethally poisonous gasses neared inhaling. 'And so, Twilight Sparkle died of suffocation via sulphur dioxide, and never once managed to truly question the reality of the world she was in.' "Reality? Reality?! I've been living a lie, all this ti-" she began, only for her end to meet her where she stood; thick, unbreathable air filling the room from the ground up, until she could no longer think. Nor speak. Nor cry for help. No, Twilight Sparkle was dead. That, everyone knew.
'Reality'View OnlineNarration'Reality'This is the story of a man named Shining Armor. Shining Armor woke up on a day like any other; He arose, got dressed, ate, gathered his belongings, and departed for school. But on this day, his time at school was interrupted by the body of his sister, Twilight Sparkle, who had abruptly left her seat during class, talking and screaming to herself, and then collapsed dead on the floor. And although he would soon turn to go call for an ambulance, or just a few, brief moments, he considered his little sister. This wasn't a normal occurrence - That much was clear. Everyone knew what crazy people looked like. And in that moment, he thought about how lucky he was to be normal. 'I am sane. I am in control of my mind. I know what is real, and what is not,' he thought. It was barely comforting to think this, though, seeing as his younger sibling lay on the ground before him. But then, he remembered a very important meeting that he had been called to. One with a very important person, who would be able to decide the next segment of his future. He had plenty of time, though. Without a second thought, he scooped up his deceased sister in his arms, and carried her out of the school. After all, Principal Cinch would understand. Surely, she would... ... Right?
