//-------------------------------------------------------// The Rocker, The DJ and The Cellist -by SugarSnow16- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// One of My Wildest Dreams //-------------------------------------------------------// One of My Wildest Dreams In a little apartment of the Snow sisters, Crystal slept in a chaotic form. Her head on the mattress, pillows at the floor, hair all over her head, and in a position where she took all over the bed. Thank goodness she is not sharing the same bed as her sister's. Otherwise, she would make her sleep at the couch. A loud guitar music played at her alarm clock. She grumbled in frustration and turned it down. "Ugh, Dang it. Why did I even set the alarm when it's summer?" she groaned. She got up  from her bed and a memory struck her. "Oh, Candy promised me something." She got on her slippers, fixing her tank top and shorts. After fixing herself, she went downstairs and found Candy, her only sister, making pancakes topped with strawberry, blueberry and mint. The stack is covered in whip cream, much to her disappointment. "'Sup big sis?" greeted Crystal. She went to her seat, forced to eat the pancakes with whipped cream. Not that she disliked whip cream, she only wanted it on her iced mocha. The taste of the creamy substance with the berries and mint was now bad though. "What's the big news. It must be bigger than the first time Leonardo DiCaprio had his first Oscar. After all, you woke me up from this mess." "Yep, something like that," answered Candy, pouring coffee in her mug. "You clearly forgot the reason why you set the alarm clock on this day." "What is it anyways?" She put a big slice of pancakes and stuffed it in her mouth. "I'm going to be a college girl like I promised. Please cooperate in making me more responsible than you. I don't want some dark circles under my eyes." The sisters both laughed at the words said earlier. They stopped and Candy was the first to move. "I forgot to tell you yesterday, the letters from the colleges you applied in were here. Since all of them are here gathered up, here's your junk." She took something from her bag and threw five letters to her. She applied for five college schools, Philadelphia University, Manhattan College, Celestia's Canterlot Royal University, Crystal Palace Academy of Music and Arts, and Daegu Arts University. She only applied for one college in South Korea in hopes of moving there. It's been years since she went to the country. Opening the letters, she found out that she didn't got accepted for Philadelphia and that Korean school. Her mind screaming internally in frustration. Now she can't go to Korea forever. "So you have a decision, these three are actually one of those I prayed for," Candy said. Crystal gave a glare at her older sister. Candy never let her go back to South Korea. She never told the reason why but everytime Crystal brought that up, she would always change the subject. The only clue she has is the cold tone of her voice when she mentions anything about going to the country. "Yeodongsaeng eoseo ,i dangsin-eul wihae sincheong han gajang gwon-wiissneun haggyo ibnida." [Come on little sister, these are the most prestigious schools you have applied for.] Candy spoke in Korean. They are in fact one-fourth Korean. Their father's Korean outbursts are one of their common traits. "Geulsse, dangsin-eun balo eonni ya." [Well, you're right older sister.] Crystal replied. "But what do you think? I have to choose three schools." She is fine from choosing between two but has three so it added to her problem. C.C.R.U. and C.P.A. are her best choices. She never really liked Manhattan from it's population." "Hm..." Candy hummed. "How about the one in Canterlot? I heard that it has the most successful people in there. The other is a bit too far. C.C.R.U is boarding school and C.P.A isn't. You know the distances." "So you're telling me that I should be at Canterlot's?" she asked. "We do have enough cash for the dorm and Daddy has some colleagues there." "Mhm." her sister replied. "Well C.C.R.U it is." She gave a smile to her older sister, who had already prepared her school stuff. "Vinyl, get up," shouted a woman to her daughter from downstairs. Up from a bedroom, a blue-haired teenage girl grumbled and ignored her mother. “Vincenza , uscire dal vostro letto in una sola volta!” [Vincenza, get out from your bed at once!] yelled her mother, Photina in Italian. Vinyl woke up angry at her sudden awakening of her deep slumber. She is on her one-month break from her career as an internet DJ. Vinyl lives with her mother Photina, a famous photographer known for her accent. This accent made her intimidate everyone including her own daughter. They are living in a large house in a village where most of the famous people live. She went downstairs finding her mother looking at her disappointed. "Mama, what the news? Do I even have to wake up by your voice? That voice is for your work, not for bossing." she grumbled. She finger-combed her spiky, blue hair which was a big mess. She sat on the couch, looking at her mother. "Have you forgot?" She gave the envelope to her, with an alicorn as it's symbol. "Hey, it's from that school in Canterlot," she said. She applied in Celestia's Canterlot Royal University for college. It's the only school she wanted to go to. People said that it is one of the most prestigious schools in America. She opened the envelope and saw a letter. Unfolding it, her eyes widened at the words written on it. Vinyl covered her mouth trying to muffle her screams of joy. "What's in it?" Photina asked. Vinyl looked at her, joy in her face. "Mi sono accettato al di Celestia Canterlot Reale Univerity!" [I got accepted at Celestia's Canterlot Royal Univerity!] She hugged her mother tightly. She had been dreaming on going to college there. Her mother hugged her back. The hug was pulled of after a few seconds. Photina is happy for her only child. She knew that she has a lot of potential and she's still discovering it. Vinyl is her only family she have now. "Congratulazioni Vincenza . Si dispone di un grande giorno di fronte a voi." [Congratulations Vincenza. You have a big day ahead of you.] She kissed Vinyl's temple and hugged her again. "Mama, isn't that a boarding school?" she asked. Photina nodded. Vinyl talked about going to a boarding school that's why she entered for the school. The reason is that she only has fried foods for her meals, like her mother expected. She did tried to learn how to cook but it seems like cooking hates her. "Wait for a second." She rushed back to her room, took her phone and looked for someone to call. When she saw the name MC W1SH on her contacts, she pressed the call button and waited for him to call him back. "Hello," said in a deep yet youthful voice. "Hey Neo," Vinyl responded. "Hello Vince," he greeted. "You sound so happy today. What's the news babe?" Vinyl grinned from ear to ear. "I got accepted in Canterlot!" She almost squealed, still holding the letter on her hand. "Vince that's great news!" Neo said. "You planning on celebrating?" "Yes, Mama is very busy and I decided to call you so you can celebrate it with me." "Well my sched is not really full. Meet me in Starbucks, you know it's the only closest place I could go." "Okay, love you." "Love you more babe." He hung up and Vinyl got dressed. Vinyl is one of the famous internet DJs in the whole world. She didn't say much about her background other than being a teenage girl under the name of DJ PON3. One of her successful songs are Vinylicious, In the Moonlight and Loving the City Lights. After her rising fame she met fellow disc jockeys. One stood out for her more. She was just looking at her blog until this man named Neo Lee complimented about her music. He proposed a collaboration in which she agreed to and that's what made them closer. When they met at the very first time in a shopping mall, that's when they started to get closer. Neo and Vinyl met very often as that day followed. Many months later, that's when they started dating. It's was very perfect, the jamming, partying (well not in clubs that's for sure), and playing. "Mom, I'm gonna-," she stopped in a mid-sentence when she realized that her mother was already off to her work. "-go out now," she said sadly. She brought back her grin and went out to meet her boyfriend. Somewhere around the Echelon Hills, there lived one of the wealthiest musicians in town, the Philharmonica family. There is only the father and the daughter. The daughter, Octavia, woke up early and went downstairs only to find his father preparing breakfast for her. "Ah , guten Morgen meine schöne Tochter." [Ah, good morning my beautiful daughter.] greeted the father in German. "Guten Morgen Vater." [Good morning Father.] She kissed her father on both cheeks before she sat down and eat her breakfast. "How's your job today at the label. "It was good." He sat down and ate his waffles. "We were looking for a musician as of now. The company has been going downhill for a while." Octavia gulped down the food she was eating. "What are the qualities you are looking for? I've seen some people audition and no one accepted them." "Well, they have to have the heart to have what it takes. Most musicians these days have been making songs that looks like, a saying from the youth, something that farted out from them." The young cellist was intrigued that her father had used some words that are not the stuffs that they say in this house. She didn't mind though as she knew it was the only way to communicate with the young musicians in her father's company. At her spot on the table, she noticed the alicorn sealed envelope next to her plate. "Father, since when did you got this letter?" "Yesterday," he answered. "I was about to tell you but I figured it would be much better on a Saturday to do so." Octavia looked at the envelope and it's seal again. She knew what the symbol meant, it was that university in Canterlot. She opened it and read the letter out loud. "Dear Ms. Philharmonica, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Celestia's Canterlot Royal University." She smiled for joy. "I got accepted!" Octavia hugged her father tight, joy spreading her face. Apollo Philharmonica returned the hugged and looked at her daughter again. "I know you could do it. We should go out and celebrate." Octavia nodded, going back to her room and got herself ready for their little celebration. //-------------------------------------------------------// Celebration Means A Future Collaboration //-------------------------------------------------------// Celebration Means A Future Collaboration Neo was tapping the table waiting for her girlfriend to come. When his mind is floating to the air he felt two warm hands covering his eyes. "I know it's you Vince." He turned around and saw Vinyl. She wore a black tank top paired with denim jeans. She wore the leather boots her friend Rarity gave to her. Her spiky hair is worn in a high ponytail: the only style she uses besides the usual spikes. Vinyl kissed him on his cheeks. "Of course you would know? Let's go!" Neo stood up and held her hand while walk their way to the mall. "eonni , naega jigeum meoggo sip-eo . ulineun najung-e nollaun il eul hal su issseubnikka?" [Big sister, I want to eat now. Can we have that surprise later?], Crystal complained. Even the stack of pancakes can't compete with her appetite. "The surprise can wait, I want pizza!" "keuliseutal naui chin-aehaneun yeodongsaeng eun meonjeo geugeos-eul bol pil-yogaissda. dangsin-i geugeos-eul boji moshal ttaekkaji nae don-eul jeochug haji anh-assda." [Crystal my dear little sister, you need to see it first. I didn't save my money for you to never see it.] "But we're rich already!" "And we don't have any access to it until you turn eighteen. Good thing I have my own bank account so I don't have to go and get our family money." She tightened her grip of Crystal's wrists who is still complaining. They went to a store and from what Crystal can see, there are so many instruments in here. At that moment, she guessed that her surprise is a musical instrument. Must be a new set of drumsticks, she thought childishly. Crystal has a large collection of drumsticks, even if she doesn't have a drum set. She uses them for decorations, much to Candy's surprise. Not only she has a fine taste for music and arts, she is also a trained gymnast and a good writer. She writes songs about stories she reads on books or computer, even her own stories. Her sister enjoyed listening to her music. She mostly used ballad, as it is the only thing that can tolerate her older sister. She makes songs and post it on her blog. Her blog is full of random stuffs, composing of her art, music, stories and stuffs that attracts all people. As they entered, a girl from the table looked at the two girls. "Hello there," greeted Candy. "I believe I reserved a special instrument for a family here." She said to the cashier as she looked at Crystal's green eyes. The cashier grinned. "Of course! Wait for a moment." She went to a room and came back with two black guitar case. "Here it is Crystal!" The cashier winked at the young girl and went back to her work. "Um... What is that? How does she know my name?" she asked. She knew a lot of people but when it comes to people spitting out her name without even saying it herself is just creeps her out. "Just a colleague," she answered. She looked at the case again. Crystal narrowed her eyebrows. Opening the both cases, her eyes widened. "Sis.." she said, speechless. Inside both cases, there were an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar. "You... you don't have to do this you know? I already got a guitar." She touched the guitars and looked at her. "Well the guitar Daddy gave you is already old and is not your size. Plus, you always wanted them in the first place." Candy smiled at her beloved sister, who was still staring at the guitars. The acoustic one has the same shade of her pink hair. It is studded with green, blue, and purple rhinestones. The fretboard is in a creamy shade of white while its markers are in colored snowflakes. The headstock has her name engraved on it which the writing looks like her sister's handwriting. Her handwriting is way more beautiful than hers. The electric guitar is the one that made her cringe harder to her sister. She had dreamed of having an acrylic electric guitar but she wanted to buy it herself. She appreciated her effort though. Buying these instruments in an expensive-as-heck music store is something that Candy wouldn't have really done to just anyone. Crystal hugged her older sister tightly until the bell ringed. An old man and a girl about Crystal's age walked through the store. The girl is a black-haired person who wore an all-gray outfit, which contrasts her pastel blue cocktail dress adorned in green lace matching her green eyes. "Father, you planned on buying me a new cello? But I already have more than one," complained the girl. "Says the young lady who has been trying to earn money to buy it and put it in her collection. Besides, it's my gift for you," said the man. Another pair entered the store again. This time, a couple consisting of a boy and a girl came in. They hold hands which made Crystal grimace. Here we go again with the lovebirds. The 'gray' girl looked at the other with pure disgust. If there is anything Crystal knew about it, she thought maybe that she does not know anything about using the clothing properly. She hid her face with her black shoulder bag. "Neo, you don't have to buy me the turntables you know? Mine still works!" Wait for a moment, this is some kind of a... what do they call it again? "Vince, you need it. Besides, that thing was like 5 years ago. You don't want to wait until it is shattered," the boy said. "Besides, I bought it a week ago, I reserved one so you can get it here. I have so many stuff in my apartment." At that moment, Crystal knew who she is. She had been a fan of DJ PON-3 for many years now. And now, she's here with her boyfriend Neo Lee, who shared her paternal grandmother's maiden name. She never really saw her face, as Vinyl would use a drawing of her provided by her fans and never a selfie for it. As of now, Vinyl used her drawing as her Twitter icon. The cashier came back and saw four new customers inside the store. "Crystal, let's go to Pizza Hut." Candy pulled themselves out from the store remaining the two young girls and their companion. "Whoa," whispered Crystal as she turned back to look at Vinyl and the gray girl secretly judging each other. Just look at her, thought Octavia, looking at the blue-haired girl in front of her. Does she know the proper way of using her clothing. It just reveals everything. She looked at tank top, showing her cleavage. She wore denim shorts that were almost revealing her buttock. At least the boots saved her. "Here you go Mr. Philharmonica," said the cashier as she took out a cello case out from the room. Another wealthy musician's little daughter, Vinyl thought, looking at Octavia, who was wearing an all gray outfit. The only thing that stood out was her pink scarf and lavender eyes. She looks good though. The only problem is she looks like a potato bag, a cute potato bag. "Finally," exclaimed Octavia, "Now I can get my eyes off of that lady who doesn't even know how to wear her clothing properly." She pointed towrds Vinyl, whose temper has been slowly risen by what she heard. She ignored Octavia's rude behavior as her father put his hand to her shoulder. "Octavia, how many times do I have to tell you that  you should not say rude things out loud?" Vinyl rolled her  eyes as she learned that maybe this girl is spoiled or something just like that. Octavia, who doesn't really like talking to her father about those, stopped and let out a groan. "Let's go sweetie." They went out leaving the bell ringing again. Well that was awkward. "Here it is Neo. What a great pleasure to have you here," she winked. Jealousy crossed Vinyl at the sight of it that she held Neo on his arm. Seems like the cashier knew about her being a jealous type. "Oh, it's okay. Winking is actually my thing here. So if you have any hard feelings for me, I'm sorry," she said in a bitter face as she left herself in another world using her headphones. "Good, let's go." Vinyl grabbed the box and left the store with her boyfriend leaving Octavia and her father behind. The cashier took off her headphones whispering something inaudible to their ears. "Hello there Mr. Philharmonica. Are you here for the new cello?" He nodded, making her go back to her room once more and brought the case out. "Can I we go home now after this? After all, were here to grab this out and that's it," asked Octavia, looking at the couple out grabbing ice cream together. "Octavia Liebling, warum wollen Sie nicht zu feiern? Nur die talentiertesten Studenten kommt nur dort. Ich war sehr aufgeregt , wenn ich kann nicht mehr in." [Octavia darling, why don't you want to celebrate? Only the most gifted students only comes there. I was very upset when I can't go in.] asked Apollo. His daughter is always like this, someone who doesn't really celebrate such great achievements. "Father, I don't want to. The only celebration I want is having a chance to sleep. The practices in our orchestra is tiring," she complained. Apollo gave in, as he knew she always wins arguments. "Okay, but first, let me go to the mall. I have some things to do. Just meet me in the parking lot." Apollo left her daughter, who is still holding the cello case in her hands. Well, it wouldn't be too bad if I buy some food. It's noon already. She walked off the store looking for a place to eat. "So, how are you?" asked Vinyl, sipping from her soda. "Well, it's not that bad. Although I've been in so many clubs, it was the worse." "Why?" "Because that stupid girl was back again." Neo keep mentioning about his rival named Ariana, the diva of the DJ society. She was always been rumored of stuffs like having affairs with some celebrities. But even if a lot of people hate her, everyone wondered about her staying as a DJ. Not that it mattered to Vinyl, a young DJ like her isn't even a part of it yet. She has more stuff to do other than those. "And?" "She stripped off in the club. The club was meant for celebrations and shit but she ruined it. Now I have to put my career on break so she wouldn't dare touch me." Vinyl almost choked on her pizza, having Ariana, whoever she is, dares to touch her boyfriend would really make her have a desire to burn her. "Why do you keep complaining about her? I mean, not that I'm pissed off about you doing so, but I never survived a date without you complaining about her." Neo stopped, looking a bit sweaty. Vinyl waved her hand at Neo, trying to snap him out. "Neo?" she asked. He is still looking nervous. "Earth to Neo?" He snapped, looked at Vinyl's curious magenta eyes. "Yeah?" "You look so nervous. Any problem in mind?" asked Vinyl, who was waiting for an answer. "Nothing, just some stuffs I have to do." Vinyl looked at him with an 'okay' face. "eonni , wae geugeos-e daehae malhae haeyahabnikka? nae mal-eun, geuneun joh-eun hajiman chia eobs-i geu yeoja e daehae na-ege iyagi haneun nal chong su-ig-eul geos-ibnida!" [Big sister, why do you have to tell me about that? I mean, he is nice but telling me about that girl without teeth will gross me out!] a young teenage girl yelled. Neo and Vinyl looked at the direction where that voice came from. "jajang , dangsin-eun ulileul danghwang handa." [Hush, you are embarrassing us.] whispered the other. Vinyl looked who it is and noticed that it's the girl with the pastel hair in the earlier with her older companion. The girl looked at her again, shock filling her eyes. She slowly grabbed her sister away from the restaurant leaving all the customers confused.
