Displaced as a Continent Pokemon
The sun shined down in the Canterlot Gardens. The statues shined in the bright light, especially the large 5 metre statue in the centre. Outside in this maze of statues was a small, lavender unicorn filly.
"Come on, Princess! I wanna see the statues!" The filly said.
"Alright, Twilight Sparkle." Another voice said. The owner of the voice stepped into view and revealed them to be a large, white alicorn.
The two walked through the gardens, well, the Princess was walking, and they looked at the statues with Celestia naming what they are.
"What's this one, Princess?" Twilight asked.

"This one is a statue of a being called 'Groudon'," Celestia said, "Legend has it that it arrived on our planet and proceeded to shape the land to what it is today."
"That's silly! Nothing could do that except for you, Princess!" Twilight said.
"I'm happy that you have such great faith in me, Twilight, but I would never be able to change how our land is shaped. I only have control of the sun."
Just as Twilight was about to leave, Celestia added something to what she said, "Oh, and the legend also says that when the land is threatened, Groudon will emerge to defend it."
Ever since that day, Twilight had found a new favourite study place. She would come outside to read underneath the shade of the statue. Once she left for Ponyville, she would visit the statue whenever she came to Canterlot again.
One day, that all changed.
"Princess Celestia, you wanted to see us?" Twilight asked as she walked into the throne room with her friends; Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy.
"Thank you all for coming on such short notice. The griffons are sending an ambassador to talk about the terms of our treaty but I suspect that they're going to want to declare war. Their king, Metal Claw, has been feeling threatened that we're taking over his land. I want you six to be there with the elements in case anything goes wrong." Celestia said.
"Of course Princess. When is the meeting?" Twilight asked.
"In five minutes. I'll have the elements behind my throne so you can grab them if need be. If it's not too much trouble, could you all stand either side of the throne?" Celestia said.
She was answered by the six mares moving either side of the throne. Celestia sat down on it and waited for the griffons to arrive. As she did, she could only think of one thing; They've come to declare a war. That much is certain according to my spies.
Soon enough, the doors to the throne room were opened with force. Not enough to slam them against the wall, but enough the quickly reveal who was entering.
"Greetings, Princess Celestia." A griffon said.
"Hello, Ambassador Sharp Feather, how are you this fine day?" Celestia asked.
"Enough of the small talk, we're here to talk about our treaty, no?" Sharp Feather said.
"Yes, that is true."
"Then let's get-" Sharp Feather just noticed the other six ponies in the room. "What is this? I thought we were going to be talking in private. Do you not trust me Celestia?"
"That's Princess Celestia to you!" Rainbow said.
"Rainbow Dash, enough." Celestia scolded. She received a muttered 'sorry' in return.
"You really should keep those sheep of yours on a tighter leash Celestia." Sharp said.
Everyone took offense to this, and were about to protest until Celestia raised a hoof, silencing them.
"Now, how about we get started." Celestia said.
"Yes, let's." Sharp said, bringing out a scroll tucked under his wing. "On this scroll is the requirements for us to continue the treaty." He threw the scroll at Celestia, who caught it in her magic and started reading it.
As she was reading, her expression slowly changed to one of shock, anger, and then back to its usual blank expression. She rolled up the scroll before addressing Sharp Feather.
"You want me to give you the area around Griffonia in a 50 mile radius including all the towns there? And on top of that the citizens that are in those town will become subject to your rule?" She asked. It was very hard to tell, but underneath the calm tone was a hint of malice.
"Why of course! These are the terms that our treaty must be signed under. If not, then I'm afraid we'll have to declare war. And if war is started, the surrounding countries won't be able to help, due to the law you passed last year. That way it'll just be you against us and I'm afraid that we both know who would win." Sharp Feather said with a smirk.
Celestia sat on her throne for a good five minutes, seemingly thinking. In reality, she knew what her decision was.
"Sharp Feather, I do not agree with these terms and hopefully you can rethink them to extend our period of peace." She said.
"Well I'm sorry Celestia. That just means you're going to have to die." When Sharp Feather finished those words, five more griffons smashed through the windows, one of them grabbing the Elements of Harmony from behind the throne.
"The elements!" Twilight said.
"On my mark griffons! 1..."
A small tremor started...
"2..."
The walls started shaking...
"3!"
A bright flash enveloped the room. When everyone's eyes cleared, all they could see was a giant, red, dragon-like creature.

"Groudon..." Celestia and Twilight muttered under their breath.
*ROAR!*
All of Canterlot could hear the roar that came from the mighty legendary and they could feel the tremors that followed.
Back in the throne room, Groudon's eyes locked onto the armed griffins in front of it. It could see them cowering in fear, until the lead griffon suddenly found his courage and threw a spear at Groudon. It whizzed through the air, and hit Groudon on the head. What happened next, no one expected.
The spear flattened against the legendary Pokemon's skin, turning into a toothpick. Groudon let loose another roar before a green energy covered its claws. It sliced them at the griffons, just missing by an inch. They all started laughing at how Groudon missed them as they were standing still.
But Groudon was... smirking? Yes, definitely smirking. Suddenly, white claw marks appeared on their chests, before they disappeared, leaving blood to ooze out of the wound. They fell to the ground, clutching their chests, before going limp. Blood pooled around them as Groudon turned to face the ponies.
There were mixed reactions. Twilight, Celestia, Applejack and Rainbow were all awestruck, Fluttershy was trying to hide behind the throne, Rarity was disgusted by the dead griffons, not actually paying attention to the giant in the room, and Pinkie was...
...
...Really? Pinkie had a giant cake shaped like Groudon with the words 'Will You Be My Friend?' written on them.
Groudon let out another roar before being enveloped in a bright light. After the light left, all that was remaining was a young woman.

The woman let out a yawn and stretched. "Good to be awake after 3,000 years." She said.
"Hold on a minute," Twilight started, "You're telling me that the one who made the land as we know it today and gave the outlines for who we are today, is a mare?!"
"Hey! I take offense to that! And I'm not so sure whether that last part is true." The woman said.
Celestia stepped forward. "Excuse me, but are you still Groudon?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm Groudon. I figured out how to do this after I made the landforms. The only reason I'm like this now is because this is the only way I can talk. If you still don't believe me, the statue in your garden is now missing." Groudon said.
Celestia left in a flash of light before arriving in another. "You mean to say that you were the statue itself?"
"Yep! I wanted to strike awe into the ponies that saw me, so I made sure I was in that form when I entered my slumber." Groudon said.
The doors to the room slammed open, hitting the walls. "Sister! Art thou alright?" Luna said as she ran over and embraced her sister.
"Yes Luna, I'm fine." Celestia said.
"We heard that thou were under attack, is everything fine? Art thou injured? Who was it that-" Luna finally noticed the stranger in the room.
"WAS IT THOU THAT DARED TO ATTEMPT TO HARM OUR SISTER?! THOU SHALL PAY FOR THINE CRIMES!" She yelled in the Royal Canterlot Voice. Before anyone could protest, Luna shot a beam of lightning at Groudon. Smoke enveloped her and she was hidden from view. "Serves her right." Luna said before turning to face the ponies in the room.
"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Twilight yelled at Luna.
Luna was shocked at this reaction. "We merely killed the one responsible for the attack attempt on our sister, did We not?"
"NO! THAT WAS GROUDON! SHE JUST DEFENDED PRINCESS CELESTIA FROM BEING ATTACKED!"
"That was Groudon?!" Luna asked. "We just attacked the creator of our land?!"
"YES!" Everyone sans Celestia shouted.
"WHAT HAVE WE DONE?!" Luna wailed at the roof above.
"Absolutely nothing." Came Groudon's voice.
The smoke cleared to reveal her in all her glory without any scratches or signs of the lightning.
"But how? We hit thou with our strongest lightning spell!" Luna exclaimed.
"Pokemon 101, ground-types like me are not affected by electricity of any kind. That's a little something everyone knows." Groudon said. The last part nearly set Luna off, but she calmed herself.
"Anyway," Groudon started, "do you want me to deal with the griffons? I could have this done under 24 hours."
"Let us think about it." Celestia said, dragging Luna out of the room.
Groudon moved over to the throne and sat down in it. The Mane 6 were shocked that someone would dare to sit in their ruler's chair, and were about to chew Groudon out until the Princesses came back in.
"We have come to a-" Celestia started, but stopped after seeing where Groudon was. "What are you doing in my chair?"
"Sitting down."
"Why are you in my chair?"
"Cause I want to."
"You know that you're very immature for your age, right?"
"Yep! But I have my moments."
Celestia sighed. "Anyway, as I was saying; we have come to a decision. If you can beat our best guards, you can fight the griffons." She said.
"Meh, watevs." Groudon said, getting up from the throne.
"Actually, I want you to stay on the throne and we'll call the guards and then cast an invisibility spell on ourselves. When the guards come running in, they'll most likely demand where we are. If you don't tell them and don't surrender, they'll attack." Celestia.
"Wow, you know your guards very well" Groudon remarked.
"Being a bit over a thousand years helps." Celestia said with a shrug before sending a maid to get the guards. She cast an invisibility spell on everyone and hid just next to the door.
Soon enough, the guards came barging in. "Where's the Princess?!" The one at the front demanded.
"Huh, she was right. You were going to demand that of me." Ground commented to herself.
She's good. Celestia thought.
"One last chance, monster. Where's. The Princess?!"
"Places." Was Groudon's cryptic response.
The lead guard visibly fumed. "CHAAAARGE!" He cried. The rest answered with "Yes sir, Captain Armour!" and charged in behind him.
Groudon waited until they were right next to her before moving. She jumped out of the way of the spears and landed on a pony's head. The force of the movement forced the guard's head into the ground, knocking him unconscious. Groudon faced the rest of the guards and opened her mouth. The guards stopped in fear, but then started laughing.
Soon enough, a ball of green energy gathered in Groudon's mouth before it was sent out in a beam at some of the guards. It burned them slightly, and sent them flying. They hit their heads on the wall, making them enter unconsciousness while two thirds of the guard force remained.
"Come at me bros." She said before half of the force charged at her. Groudon span around, delivering a kick to their faces. They started a domino effect before slumping to the ground. When Groudon turned to face the guards, spears were thrown at her. The guards were just about to start celebrating, until they saw the spears flatten against the legendary Pokemon's skin.
Groudon slid a foot back to brace herself, and started charging up a big ball of fire in her hands. When it reached the size of a beach ball, she threw it at the guards, whereupon it proceeded to turn into a star which enveloped them. When the smoke cleared, a purple shield was around the last pony.
"Well done, Captain Armour," Groudon said, "You managed to think quickly enough to put up a shield. But, can your shield withstand this?"
"It can take anything." Armour said. Groudon smiled before her hands started glowing white. She charged forward at the Captain and hit the shield with one hand. It immediately shattered and Groudon kept her momentum going, spinning around and delivering another strike to the pony's face.
Armour fell to the ground, suffering a concussion at most.
"Well done, Groudon. I did not think you would be able to do that." Celestia complimented, cancelling the invisibility spell.
"Remember the part where I made the land? I think that might've been a clue." Groudon said.
"Never mind that for now." Celestia said, walking over to Armour. "Shining Armour, time to wake up."
Shining Armour groaned before opening his eyes. "Huh? Princess, where's the creature?"
"Standing right behind you." Groudon whispered before Shining whirled around and prepared to impale her on his horn.
"Stay back! I'm not afraid to kill you!" He shouted.
"Heh, I bet you don't have the balls to do so." Groudon taunted.
Shining gritted his teeth but didn't do anything. "Just like I thought."
"Enough, Groudon. You have won the bet so you may participate in the war." Celestia said.
"Hold on a minute. Groudon? As in, the one from legends Groudon that made the land that we have today?" Shining asked.
"Come on, get with the program." Groudon said. "We've known that for the past ten minutes."
"Nopony ever tells me anything..." Shining muttered.
"Oh yeah, and two more things before I go prepare myself," Groudon said. "One, stop saying things like 'somepony', 'anypony', etc. It's extremely offensive to any non-pony races, and second, Princess Luna also exists, not just Celestia."
"Hey!" Shining exclaimed indignantly.
"You only said 'Princess', not 'Princesses'." Groudon said. With that, she departed the room.
Shining looked at Celestia. "It's true," She said, "Even now, you're only paying attention to me."
Celestia left the room to follow Groudon, with Luna behind her.
