It was dark, and my senses seemed to be off balance. I didn't know what was happening when I heard a voice speak to me and begin asking questions.
"Welcome to the land of Equestria. You have been chosen for a special purpose. Do you accept this destiny?" The voice boomed.
I gulped and replied to the voice, "Y-yes, I accept."
"Good. Now pick three colors."
"Um, how about.....White, blue, and grey?"
"Good. Pick a name, if you will."
"H-how about Blue Dusk?"
The voice seemed to chuckle ever so slightly. "Perfect, Miss Dusk. Now, you shall experience a little pain..."
After that my eyes widened, and I felt a sharp prick in my spine. Then I blacked out, completly unaware of what was about to happen. My life was never the same after that.
I awoke on a bench in what looked like a park. Everything seemed different, out of place and lovely. In the blink of an eye a pink pony appeared infront of me.
"Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie! What's your name? I've never seen you around before, are you new to Ponyville?" She exclaimed. I was stunned. It was a talking, pink pony. It actually talked! Before I could even think, I screamed and jumped behind the bench. I looked down at my hands and bean screaming again.
"I have hooves?! I'm not supposed to have hooves!" I yelled.
Pinkie Pie, I think was her name, laughed. "You're supposed to have hooved, silly filly! You're a pony for Celestia's sake!"
The news scared me. I stood up and my legs buckled, but as soon as I managed to walk I ran over to a foutain and looked at my reflection. I had a white coat, and my hair was a mess. It was a deep, midnight blue color and my eyes were a dark grey. I was a pony, with a rounded snout and medium length legs. I opened my wings. Wait. I had wings?! I was losing my mind, I thought to myself.
"This.....This isn't right! I'm not supposed to be a pony!" I turned to the pink pony. "This shouldn't be real! Some one pinch me, this has got to be a dream!"
She stared at me with an odd expression. "You're not a pony?"
"No! I'm a human, I'm supposed to have hands and feet with toes and fingers!"
"Hm...Well maybe Twilight can help you with your problem! This way!" And she trotted off, leaving me to follow.
"Hello, Pinkie. Who's your friend?" A lavender pony said as she looked up from a book.
Pinkie Pie giggled and replied, "This is Blue Dusk, and she told me something weird!"
Twilight shared the expression Pinklie had eailier, "And what might that be?"
"I'm not a pony! I-I'm human!" I exclaimed.
Twilight's mouth nearly touched the floor. Suddenly she called out and a small purple and green dragon ran up to her.
"Spike, please grab the transformation books." She said in a rushed tone.
"Yes ma'am!" he said and rushed up a ladder. As quick as a whip he was back with a pile of books and Twilight levetated them in the air. She flipped through various books until finally set them down in one neat pile and sighed.
" In all my years of study I've never hear of a human being turned into a pony. Do you remember anything brfore bring transformed?"
"Uh...." I had to think for a moment. "Oh yeah. I was in a dark placce and a voice was asking me questions.....Then I blacked out and woke up here."
"Hey maybe you have a special purpose! Maybe its some cosmic mystery that won't be solved until the right time!"Pinkie exclaimed. Twilight and I stared at the pink earth pony. She was strange, and the idea was even stranger.
But the idea seemed....Right.
Pinkie and I watched Twilight skim through multiple books at once, until she set all the books into one moutanious pile behind her. Every bookshelf was clear, and everybook in the tree was on the ground.
Twilight looked at Pinkie and told her, "Pinkie, gather the girls and bring them here. There is something I am deadly afraid of, but first we need to confirm with the princesses."
"Okie Dokie Lokie!" And Pinkie bounced out of the library.
Twilight and I sat in silence. The lavender unicorn looked as though she were in deep thought until Pinkie and four other ponies arrived. They all had dramatic variations from each other, or any pony I had seen in Ponyville. One had a rainbow mane and a sky blue, and another had a set of beautiful curls and a white coat. One of the ponies looked as if she were from the west, with a cowboy hat proudly propped ontop of her head, and blonde hair in a pony tail - or is it a 'human tale' here? The final of the ponies looked small and yellow, with a pink mane that covered her face.
"So, Twi, what did Pinkie round all of up for?" The western pony asked.
The white pony spoke up as well, "And who is your friend here?"
"All will be explained, but right now we have to get to Canterlot." Twilight said in a very, very serious tone. All the girls nodded and followed Twilight out the door, so I followed along with the herd. We made our way to a train station, which was much to girly for my taste, aand borded a a light pink and purple train.
While riding Twilight started to explain to us her theory, "Recently I"ve been studying the elements..And while reading the book, I found a page was torn out. The last thing I could read befor the torn page appeared said, 'In recent years a new element was told to exist, but no pony could figure how or why one would suddenly appear out of the blue. Speculations showed tha the new element was...' And that's all I could read before it was ripped out."
Suddenly I heared a chuckle, and I looked around at the other ponies. "Did you guys hear that?"
Rainbow Dash -proper introductions were made on the way to the station- looked at me with a funny expression posted across her face. "Hear what?"
"Oh, um, it was nothing. Nevermind."
I sat thinking about these elements they were talking about. What are they? I thought to myself when I heard a voice speak to me, but it wasn't an outside voice. It was in my head.
Oh Blue Dusk, you've made some lovely friends. But sadly, you aren't going to defeat me. No one will. It said, and then it was gone.
I must have been in a trance because Rarity had to come get me when the train stopped. I just couldn't get the voice's word out of my head. What did it all mean? The herd stated walking but I lagged behind until we arrived at a place of some sort.
"Princess Celestia! Please, we need you and your sister's guidence in an important matter!" Twilight yelled as we entered a throne room. The pony sitting in the throne, who I presume was Celestia, had a white coat and a long, colorful mane. She had wings and a horn, which I had never seen before. She stood up and stated walking over to Twilight.
"Ah, my star pupil. What seems to be bothering you?" She asked.
Befor Twilight could answer, Pinkie Pie shouted, "Our friend Blue Dusk isn't really a pony!"
For a quick moment I swear I saw a look of fear cross the princesses face, but it quickly anished. She cleared her throat and looked at us seven. "Come." she said. "We need to gather Luna and head for the Elements Room."
We waited in the room for a few minutes until A darker blue pony, with a starry mane and tale walked in with Celestia. The two looked at each other and back at us.
"Princesses, I was studying and found that there may be one more element. Is this true?" Twilight asked.
Princess Luna sighed and answered her question. " Yes, Twilight Sparkle, there was at one point. Long before Nightmare Moon's, or, um...my, rampage began...There was a seventh element."
"But, someone stole the element before we could secure it in our old palace. He is forever, the one and only pony in all of Equestria who would want to create disharmony in the land." Celestia explained.
"Discord." The two princesses said in unison.
