Ford in Equestria
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryFord was exploring the Woods around the Mystery shack, this activity became a past time of his since he came out of the portal. Today's exploration had been very mundane, he saw only one gnome and had a quick encounter with a gremloblin, it appeared that it was just going to be a boring day, even though that was rare in this area of Oregon.
"Well, I guess I better start heading back; Stanley might get a little worri-"
Ford froze when he saw it, it was an ornate mirror in perfect condition. He had heard of stuff like this before, a gnome told him during his studies 30 years ago, that the stray mirrors in the woods are usually portals or just discarded scrap. He walks towards the mirror. He knew of only one way to check if what the gnome told him was true or not. Ford carefully steps in front of the mirror. He pressed his hand on the mirror's reflective surface. A ripple effect occurred as his palm touched the glass, curious he pushes harder on the glass, Fords goes through the glass as he loses his balance and stumbles into the mirror. Ford screams as the colors around him change to a vibrant spinning rainbow, he felt like he was spiraling down a drain at top speed, almost like a bad drug trip. Suddenly the colors stop. Dizzy and disoriented Ford falls forward crashes into the hard ground, rendering him unconscious.
Ford slowly began to regain consciousness. He could feel something soft was underneath him. It brushed against his face, he slowly opened his eyes to see that it was only grass. He sat up in an attempt to reconstitute himself. A sharp aching pain sliced through his head, like he was hit by a boulder, he lifted his hand to his head only realize he had no fingers. Not only that he had no hands! Just hooves. He started to panic. He felt something soft hit the back of his head. He moved his hooves to the sides of his head to discover that his ears were not in their usual places. He slowly moved his hooves to the top of his head where his ears now resided. They stood straight up and were slightly pointed, he looked down at the rest of his body to see what else had changed. He was still in his sweater and coat but his pants and boots where nowhere to be seen. Instead he had haunches, legs, and hooves of a horse with what he could only assume was a long grey tail between his legs. He started to stand up but fell on all fours witch felt oddly natural even though he was a bit wobbly. He fell down a few times before getting used to his new legs. He lifted his head to look at his surroundings. Ford slowly opened his eyes. His brown eyes scanned the grassy plain before him, it seemed to go on for miles and was littered with multi colored flowers, and a few apple trees here and there. It reminded him of the unicorn grove that he studied over 30 years ago.
