I was currently in my new house sitting on my new couch in my new living room. I had won the lottery a month ago and had gotten over five million dollars and had bought a new car, a new house, and new furniture since my old furniture was shit. It had stains all over it from my friends spilling stuff all over the couch when they come over to my house for a party or for some holiday. I had bought a lot of stuff with this money and I had a two story house, I never really wanted too big of a house, and had gotten a few TV’s for my bedroom, my living room, my kitchen, and for my new and awesome gaming room. The gaming room had the biggest TV since gaming was everything for me.
Anyway I had gotten everything I ever wanted in just a month and now I’m living the life I’ve always wanted. But it wasn’t everything I wanted. I wanted to have a family to share this life with but since I never had a chance to find love I lived alone after I moved out of my mom’s house and had gotten an apartment. I had lived in that apartment for a few years before well recent events and now well, you know the rest. Even though I was rich I didn’t really look like I was the rich type, and by that I mean I typically just wear black jeans with my black socks on my feet and I currently had no shirt on letting cool air blow on my muscled but skinny body, but when I do have a shirt on well you can take a pretty good guess at what I wear.
I took a sip of the cold drink in my hand and swallowed it down and let out a satisfying sigh once it went down to my stomach and I slouched down further into my couch as I grabbed the remote off of the table that’s next to my couch and turned on my HUGE TV and went to my recordings searched for my favorite show. Well it's more of a cartoon but whatever, anyways I searched for the title and after a few more seconds of looking I found what I was looking for and clicked on the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, my favorite pony would is between Twilight Sparkle and Ditzy Doo.
I could never choose between the two since Twilight seemed a lot like me and I just couldn’t get over how cute Ditzy looked and some fanfictions I read with her in it. I was in the middle of season 5 and the season had finished but I was busy with paperwork for this place and I hadn’t been able to keep up with the episodes. So today I am catching up on it and I have been watching the sixth generation for three years now and I absolutely love it.
Everybody who knew me and thought that I was weird for liking it had turned away from me and I was alone ever since until I had met other people who like the show and their other full grown guys who are pretty cool. I had met a guy who loved it as much as I did and one day he told me that he was writing a story that was involved with another story called the Rainbow Factory and he had made his own OC’s, whatever those are, and had made a story with those three and he said he didn’t want to publish it but he would think about it. I had never read it before but I’ve wanted to ever since he told me which was a bit before I won the lottery.
Anyway I watched with curiosity for what magic this episode would hold and I studied every feature and every word they said and I enjoyed it at the same time. I know others just watch it and others think that I need to just watch and then I can re watch it and study it then but I can study it while enjoying it. So I did that every time I watched an episode even if I had already watched an episode before. This episode ended and I blinked a few times to let my eyes get that water back on my eyes since I stared at the screen without blinking the whole time. I honestly didn’t notice my eyes were burning. I rubbed my eyes and took another sip from my drink but I was only met with two cold ice cubes on my lips and I looked at my cup and saw that it was empty. I rolled my eyes and stood up with my cup in my hand and stretched before walking into my kitchen.
My living room had black carpets like most of my other rooms and my couch was also black with white walls and I had a fireplace to the left of my couch. I also had a leather chair with a foot stool that was also leather about five feet to the right of my couch. It was next to a few steps that had a doorway that lead to the front door. I walked up the few black carpeted steps and into the kitchen that had wooden floors that I would slide on every so often when I was bored or just didn’t feel like walking. I had a big kitchen with large windows to my right that covered the wall with a long wooden table next to the windows that had about six chairs, one at each end and two on each side and a TV on the far side of the wall behind the table. I walked to my left behind my counter that had a grey counter top with a few metal chairs with soft cushioning on them along the counter. I had a few cabinets below the counter that had mostly champagne and wine.
I went to my refrigerator that was next to large doorway that had black curtains hanging from the ceiling that draped to the sides and lead to my very own movie theater. There were brown cabinets to the left of the refrigerator that went to the other side of the wall that held my food plates and cups and other things. There was another counter below the cabinets along the side of the wall that went to the other side with a clean silver sink a few feet away from the fridge. An oven a few feet away from the sink next to a dish washer.
I opened the right side refrigerator door and revealed various drinks and fruits and veggies and especially meat. I took the two liter of big red off of the top shelf and I turned around and walked to the counter and put my cup on the counter-top and opened up the big red and poured my glass full of the delicious red drink as the foam on top of it went away and I turned back around and put the bottle back on the top self, closed the refrigerator door, turned back around, grabbed my cup and walked back to the living room and continued to watch the rest of season five of My Little Pony for until I finished the rest of the season.
I watched the rest of season five and after a few episodes had gone back and gotten more big red after finishing the cup I had after a few minutes of getting it and not noticing I had finished my cup until that episode was over and repeating the process over and over again before having to go to my garage and getting more. I grabbed the remote off of the armrest of the couch and turned off my TV and put the remote back on the table. I stood up and stretched for like the hundredth time today and went back into the kitchen. Not to get more big red, but to put my cup in the empty sink. I walked back into the living room and through the other doorway and onto another wooden floor and over to the stairs that were along side the white walls. I walked up the stairs and into a hall that had five doors, three on the left side and two on the right.
I walked back to the last door on the left and opened the door revealing a large room with black carpets much like the living room and pretty much the whole house. Moonlight shined through the single window on the opposite side of the room from me and it shined across most of the room covering half of my bed that was on my left that was a king sized bed with black sheets, pillows, and my blanket. The light went across my floor and shined on the bottom half of my wooden dresser that held all of my t-shirts, jeans, and etc. that was on the left side of the room that held my forty inch TV on top of the dresser that was next to my closet door that held my nice clothes like a few tuxedos and just any kind of button up shirts that I hardly wore ever.
I walked over to my bed and started to take off my clothes except for my underwear and I threw them in the hamper across the room, in the corner, and walked over to my dresser and opened the bottom drawer of four and grabbed a pair of black shorts with the word reeboks on the side of them that was in between two red lines and I slipped my legs through the leg holes and pulled them up to my waist. I took the strings of the shorts in each hand and pulled tightly on them to where they were tight enough to where they wouldn’t turn around when I rolled around in my sleep since I always move around for some reason.
I walked back over to my bed and pulled the covers back and crawled into bed and pulled the covers up to my chest and turned onto my side and then my stomach trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in I had chosen to sleep on my stomach with my hands under my pillow and I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep. After several minutes of trying to fall asleep and having to turn on my back and staring at the ceiling I felt my eyes starting to feel heavy as they slowly started to close. My eyes closed shut and I fell into a deep sleep that I always fell into every night and waited for the sun to wake me up.
I was startled wide awake by a loud thundering sound that made terror pump through my veins and a bright light that made my heart pound in my chest. I jerked up and saw something that made me question what was real and what wasn’t. There was a small white orb like substance floating a few feet away from me above my bed that was sucking in air and dust as it only seemed to be pulling and pushing something through the small white thing. I brought my arm up to my face and covered my eyes as the white ball of light started to get brighter and brighter and it started to pull air in faster and harder as a vortex started to form in my room. I looked to my window and it was raining cats and dogs outside as it pounded on my window and it would have been loud if it wasn’t for the tornado going on in my room.
I looked back towards the white ball of light was at and then something even stranger started to happen, the ball of light started to have small arches of electricity go from one part of the surface of the ball to another spot on it and it got bigger and longer every time it made a new one. Soon the arches of electricity were huge and started to make the ball of light expand even further as the sound of air whipping around me got louder and stronger as the ball of light was about three feet long and made an oval shape. The center of it started to turn purple with green in it as it swirled around and expanded to the edges of the thing and after a few seconds of watching this happen it was now a swirling vortex of purple green and black.
Then the white light returned and flashed a bright light that made me force my eyes shut as the last thing I saw were three shadowy figures flying threw threw the thing. Then as soon as it came everything stopped, the wind stopped being sucked in, the bright light that flashed was gone and the rain that was once pouring down on my house just stopped. I cracked an eye open and saw nothing but pitch black. I waited a few seconds waiting for my eyes to readjust to the darkness. I rubbed my eyes and could finally see in the dark again. I looked around and didn’t see anything out of place or blown over from all that happened. It seemed like it was never even here. I double checked and didn’t see anything so I snuggled back into my bed and closed my eyes.
I was almost about to fall asleep before I heard some shuffling on the left side of my bed. I open my eyes and turn my head slowly to the left side to where the sound came from. I slowly pushed the covers off of me and slowly got onto my hand and knees and crawled over to the side of my bed and peeked over the edge. The moon light provided good enough light to see what was there and I saw something that made me hold my breath. There laying there was a filly pony with a light grey silver coat with a gray and white mane that was shaggily, next to another filly with glasses a dark blue coat and a blue and purple mane and tail and a colt that had an orange coat with a red and yellow mane and tail. They all had wings and resembled ponies I swear saw before, but not any poonies from the show. Not even any background ponies. They were… they were Tony’s OC characters. The grey one was Flickering Gray, the blue one was Nightsky Twinkle, and the orange one was Glistening Sunrise, and they were all pegasi. But what are they doing here?
They each slowly started to sit up while robbing their heads or any other part of them that hurt. They were now sitting up straight with their wings to their sides as they looked around at their new environment. I could tell by the looks on their faces that they knew they weren’t where they were before. Luckily they hadn’t noticed me yet so I just stayed quiet and I tried to speak but my words were caught in my throat and I couldn’t think of what to say. Once they knew their surroundings they looked at each other in confusion, sadness, and fear.
“Guys, where are we?” Sunrise asked.
“I… I don’t know. But it’s definitely not the weather factory.” Nightsky said.
“We need to get back home. I need to get back to my mom.” Gray said. “Alright but we need to find out where we are first and then we can find a way back. Besides you're in no condition to fly at the moment.” she said trying to calm her down.
Grey took a few deep breaths and finally calmed down, still oblivious to me watching them.
“Alright I’m fine. Let's find out where we are so we can get back home.” she said standing up and the others did as well and they all took a step and a flash of light and the sound of thunder went off and lit my room up with a bright light for a split second.
It was just enough time for them to see my shadow the light made before going away and they all slowly looked back slowly and their eyes rested on me and their pupils were pin pricks. We all just stayed there, not even breathing as we stared at each other. I opened my mouth about to say something but I was interrupted by them screaming.
“AHHHH!” they all screamed as they ran to the door and somehow opened it and ran out into the hallway.
I quickly jumped out of bed and ran after them. I ran out into the hall and saw that they were right next to the stairs as they ran down them. I ran to the stairs and ran down them quickly catching up to them and they looked back and saw me behind them. They ran into the living room almost tripping down the stairs and I ran after them into the living room and I didn’t see them in here and I also didn’t hear any hoofsteps in the kitchen so they have to be in here hiding. I slowly walk around the living room looking for them and in the corner of my eye I see something in the darkness that looked like a small figure. Another light flashed through the living room window and the sound of thunder echoed throughout the house and I saw Gray staring up at me in fear and it went back into pitch black. She screamed and ran away between my legs and I spin around and was met with two orange hooves in front of me as I was hit in the face and knocked to the wall and I slid down and sat on the floor holding my nose where Sunrise had hit me as my nose started to bleed.
I heard whispering and someone saying ‘Come on let’s go while it’s down.’ I heard and they all three ran back to the front door and I heard hoof steps on the wooden floor and the front door opening. Then after a few seconds it closed and I still sat there holding my nose with my eyes shut tight trying not to cry from the pain. My nose is very sensitive so it hurt like kicking a wall with a toothpick under your toenail.
Then I heard something that surprised me. I heard whispering and then hoofsteps coming back into the living room. I could feel their body heat in front of me and I slowly lifted my head and looked at them and they all had looks of fear still but also looks of sadness for some reason.
“Are you okay?” Nightsky asked me.
“No, thanks to your friend there my nose is probably broken.” I said. Nightsky nudged Sunrise.
“What?” he whispered to her.
“Apologize.”
“What!? No! He shouldn’t have chased us and not expect us to try and hurt him.” he yelled pointing a hoof at me.
“He’s right, I shouldn’t have chased you. I’m sorry.” I said and they were taken back by that and looked at me surprised.
“You shouldn’t be apologizing, you got hurt and it was Sunny’s fault. Now apologize.”
“No really. It’s fine. It’s not the first time I had something broken.” I said remembering that I had broken my right ankle three times.
“Still it doesn’t change the fact that he shouldn’t have hit you.”
“Whatever.” Sunny said looking away.
“How about we start over. Hi my names Cameron.” I said holding out my hand.
“I’m Flickering Gray. This is my filly friend Nightsky Twinkle. You already know Glistening Sunrise.”
“Hey there.” Nightsky said and Sunrise just ‘humphed.’
“It’s nice to meet you all.” I said smiling while still holding my still bleeding nose. It seems I have a lot to get ready for. I thought to myself as we just stood there in awkward silence.
We were still in the living room after they had all calmed down and now I was sitting on my leather chair that I had turned to face the couch. I had a napkin stuffed in the right nostril and I'm pretty sure the bleeding had stopped but I just wanted to be sure, and yes my nose is broken for sure. But I didn’t worry about it at the moment. The other three sat on my couch and surprisingly didn’t get any hair on the couch. We were sitting in awkward silence for a while and I was starting to get uncomfortable, and I could tell they were too. I didn’t know what to say at that point and then Gray suddenly flinched and she breathed heavily and looked to be in immense pain.
“Are you okay?” I ask her concerned.
“My wing just hurts a bit. I’m fine.” she said putting on a smile that was easy to see through.
“Well alright.” I said deciding to wait until they aren’t completely afraid of me. I brought my hands up to my nose and put both my index fingers and thumbs on my nose and pushed it back into place.
“Nng.” I said growling from the pain and after a few seconds I relaxed.
“So do any of you know how you all got here?” I asked them.
“No. One second we’re in the weather factory, then this thing appeared out of nowhere and sucked us in and brought us here.” Nightsky said pushing her glasses back with a hoof.
“Hmm odd. I wonder what caused it?” I muttered to no one in particular.
“I don’t care how it happened I just want to get home and back to my mom.” Gray said.
“Trust me if I knew a way to get you all home I would do it right now. But I don’t so it seems you're going to be stuck here for a while. Either until that thing appears again, or I find a way to get you all home a different way.” I said and they all looked saddened except for Sunrise, he just rolled his eyes.
He just looked to the side looking at the carpet. I take the tissue out of my nose and sniffle a bit from the extra blood stuck in my nose. I walk into the kitchen and threw the napkin away in the trashcan that was under the curved part of the counter. I walked back into the living room and saw Nightsky rubbing Gray’s right wing carefully. Hmm, so that’s why she was in pain. I thought to myself.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” I asked her sitting back down in my chair.
“Mmhmm.” she said with pursed lips and a pained expression. I looked at the clock on my DVD player and saw that it read 3:26 a.m. in the morning. I looked back at the and thought for a moment.
“How about we all get some rest for the night. I’m sure you all are confused and still scared, so allow me to let you stay at my house for as long as you need to.” I said standing up.
“You’d really do that for us?” Gray and Nightsky asked in unison surprised at my generosity.
“Of course.” I said smiling at them.
“You wouldn’t mind?” Nightsky asked.
“Of course not. Now follow me and I’ll show you to where you can sleep at.” I said starting to walk out of the living room.
Gray and Nightsky got up and followed behind me and Sunrise, although hesitantly, got up and followed slowly behind Nightsky and Gray. We walked up the stairs and we came to the first bedroom on the right. I opened the door and all it had in the room was a bed a dresser and a nightstand.
“Okay I only have two spare rooms so either two of you will have to share or one of you can have my bed.” I said and Gray and Nightsky’s faces lit up immediately.
“We can stay in a room together.” they said in unison.
“Alright, then I’ll see you all in the morning.” I said and I left them to go into their room and they closed the door.
I turned around and looked down at Sunrise who looked like he was upset over something. Or maybe that’s just from the bad lighting. I didn’t ask and just stepped forward to the door across the hall and opened it and it had the same setup as the other spare bedroom.
“This is your room Sunrise. See you in the mornin’.” I said and he didn’t say a word or look at me, he just walked in and slammed the door shut.
I heard muttering behind the door and him saying ‘Whatever ape thing.’ he said. I pushed that comment aside and walked to my bedroom and opened the door. I walked in and started closing the door and before it closed shut I decided to leave a crack in case one of them needed me. I walked over to my bed and climbed back into bed and pulled the covers back over me and felt the inviting sensation of sleep taking over and my eyes slowly started to close and I fell into the world of dreams once more.
I woke up the next morning to the sunshine waking me up as it peeked through the window and soaked my room in bright rays of golden rays of sunshine. I turned over and pulled the blankets over my head and tried to go back to sleep. Then I heard a door open and the sound of hoofsteps echoing throughout the halls outside my door. Memories of last night's occurrences flooded back to me and I pushed the covers off of me and get out of bed slowly still tired from being woken up early last night. I walked over to the door groggily hunching over and swinging my arms side to side. I walked to the stairs and started walking down them, I was halfway down before my legs decided ‘Hey why don’t we fuck with Cameron and make him fall down the stairs!’ and my knees buckled and I fell the rest of the way down the stairs while hitting my head on like a thousand stairs. I groaned in pain lying at the bottom of the stairs on my back as i felt my head throb in pain. I got back up and put a hand on my bruise that formed on my forehead on about the tenth step down.
I walked into the living room and didn’t see anyone in here. I walked over into the kitchen and saw Gray looking up at the fridge in curiosity. I chuckled silently and walked over to her and she looked up at me.
“Looking for something to eat?” I ask and she jerks her head to look up at me with surprise and fear. She backs away and slowly nods while looking at the ground. I open the fridge door and it reveals everything I have to eat and drink. “Hmm, let’s see you all are herbivores so how about some pancakes?” I ask her looking down at her.
She nodded her head slowly and I grab the mix, eggs, and milk and put it on the counter next to a large bowl and a frying pan. I start making the batter for the pancakes and after I finished it I had a decent amount of batter in the bowl, about 75 percent of it was full, then I went to a cabinet and opened it. I grabbed the olive oil spray and sprayed the pan with it before pouring it into the pan. I turned on the burner and put the pan on the burner and waited for the bottom side to be baked and I flipped it with a spatula and waited for the other side to be done. I put the now finished pancake on a plate and started to make even more pancakes.
Several minutes later Nightsky walked into the kitchen with obvious bed head and her glasses were crooked. She walked over to Gray and a few seconds later I heard flapping sounds and then I see Nightsky fly up to the chair and sit down, and fold her wings back in place. In the corner of my eye when my back was turned to them I saw Nightsky peck Gray on the cheek and I almost let out a chuckle but was able to hold it in. I cooked more pancakes and stacked them on the one plate I had out and soon Sunrise came into the kitchen with bed head like the others and sits down in the last chair next to Gray. I finish cooking the last pancake and put it on top of the stack of pancakes I had made. There were about 20 pancakes stacked high to the ceiling (Metaphor) and Nightsky and Gray looked up at the giant stack of jacks in astonishment.
“Go ahead and dig in.” I said as I took out three plates and set the in front of them each.
They looked at me and Nightsky instantly dug in. Gray was hesitant at first but when she took her first one and saw I hadn’t done anything she took a few more and put them on her plate. Sunrise had also took pancakes without saying anything and took the bottle of syrup and poured a freaking river on it and took a fork in his mouth and dug into the pancakes. I took some of my own and put syrup over them and dug in as well. About halfway through her food, Gray stopped eating and put her fork down. She looked down at her pancakes saddened by something. I chewed the food that was currently in my mouth and swallowed it.
“What’s wrong Gray?”
“Eh, it’s nothing. I just… I just miss my mom.”
“Your mom huh? What was she like?”
“Well uh, she was awesome. She always knew what to say at any time. And she made amazing pancakes like yours.” she said trying to smile but it fell back to a frown.
“Hmm, is there anything I can do?” I asked and Gray opened her mouth to speak but Sunrise answered for her.
“Yeah a ticket out of this Celestia damned world.” he said as he finished his last pancake.
“Well if I had a way for you all to get home then I would gladly let you go home. But I don’t, I’m sorry.”
“Why do you care? You don’t even know us.” he said angered.
“Because I wouldn’t even let my most hated enemy left to starve and die.”
They all went silent for a few seconds before Nightsky broke the silence.
“Do you have any parents Cameron?” she asked trying to change the subject.
“I do, but I never see them.”
“Why not?” she asked confused.
“Well, even though I love my dad whenever we got together he would usually either be drunk or just get drunk. And my mother well, let's just say I stopped talking to her ever since I moved out of her house.”
“Oh, Ok.” she said and it fell into silence again.
“Why are you asking us so many questions!?” Sunrise said slamming his hooves onto the counter.
“I only asked one.”
“Still, you don’t even know us, and you don’t need to!”
“And why is that?”
“Rrgh, uh~ b-because you only met us last night. And you just let us stays here with you without even trying to get rid of us! You have to be planning something!”
“I’m not trying to do anything. I just want to help you all. I don’t need a reason for that.”
“Yes you do! You always need a reason. There’s always a reason. And I intend on finding it.” he said slamming his hoof on the table again.
“Stop it both of you!” Gray shouted. “He’s obviously not trying to lie to us! So why don’t you quit arguing with him!”
“You mean you actually believe him!”
“Yes I do! If he wanted to kill us then he would have done it while we were asleep.”
“Well he probably poisoned our food!”
“No he didn’t! I sat here and watched him make it!”
“Eh, uh. Rrgh. Still he’s gotta be planning something! He probably made that fucking portal and made us come here for his plan!”
“That’s enough Glistening! you can't always judge books by it’s covers! That’s what my mom always said.” Gray said and she looked saddened at that last line. Gray flinched and groaned in pain.
“What’s wrong Gray?” I asked rushing over to her.
“My wing. It hurts.”
“It’s not a problem. Now enough drama, you all probably want to get a shower?” I asked, and Nightsky slowly nodded her head. “What’s wrong Nightsky? It’s like you’ve just seen a ghost.”
“Um, it’s nothing. But, uh, me and Gray can just take a shower together. If it’s alright with you?” Nightsky looked at Gray.
Gray blushed lightly and slowly nodded.
“Um sure… can we? Hehe.”
“I’m fine with that. Just no funny business.” I said chuckling and they both blushed deeply.
“NO NOT LIKE THAT!” Nightsky and Gray said in unision flaring their hooves in front of them.
“Hahahaha don’t worry I was joking you all can take a shower together. But maybe keep it to a minimum.” I said chuckling as I walked into the living room.
I was waving my hand behind me letting them know to follow me and then I heard hooves hit the ground and then steps as they followed behind me. I walked up the stairs and they do the same and I walked to the middle door on the left and opened it. It revealed a simple bathroom unlike the whole house, there was a tub, a sink, and a closet that held things I usually use. Like towels, shaving cream, and other utensils I use from time to time. Hoofsteps followed me and soon I saw Gray and Nightsky walking up the stairs and over to me. I opened the door more and motioned to enter. They walked in and looked around.
“Alright turn the knobs to turn the water on. Uh, make sure the cold is on a little, for some reason the heat is weird for some reason. But uh, try not to have too much fun.” I said chuckling closing the door slowly. Before I closed it I saw them blush deeply and looked at each other.
I walked away and heard the water start as I walked down the stairs. As soon as my foot reached the bottom of the stairs I heard a scream coming from the bathroom and I ran back upstairs. I quickly rushed to the bathroom door and open it and I see Nightsky holding her hoof.
“Is everything alright?”
“Yea, I just didn’t expect the water to be that hot.”
“You get used to how it works soon enough.”
I smiled at them and I closed the door and walked back downstairs. I walked into the kitchen to see Sunrise staring out the window across the room. I look to where he was looking and saw a cardinal standing on a nearby branch. I look back at Sunrise and thought of something.
“Can I ask you something Sunrise?”
“No.”
“Alright fine.”
I walked over and pulled a stool out, and sat down. We both sat there looking out the window while the sound of birds, and running water. Several minutes later the sound of running water stopped and curtains scraping across the rail. Sunrise sighed and after a few seconds he turned to me and looked at me and I did the same.
“What’s your stupid question?”
“Why do you not trust me?”
“*sigh* Because I just don’t understand why you’d take us in and help us without a second thought. Even after I broke your nose. Why do you keep us here?”
“Well to be honest I just saw myself in you all. Scared, confused, and afraid of the unknown. You all remind me of me when I was a teenager and my mother and me hated each other. And you all don’t have anyone here that you can trust. So I thought that I could help you all, I never had help with anything and I never wanted that fallen upon anyone. Even you all.”
He was silent for a few seconds. “I guess I can understand that. But I still don’t trust you!”
I looked back out the window as I spoke. “As long as I can get a chance.”
We sat there in silence again, waiting for the other two to come down. After several minutes of waiting they both came down with wet manes and tails, with a towel drapped around their bodies.
“Thanks for letting us use your shower.” Gray said more happily than before.
“No problem. Sunrise you can go next.”
He got up without a word, and walked off upstairs. I sat there as I just looked out the window with an awkward silence in the air. All of a sudden I heard someone gasp and growl in pain. I jerked my head and saw Gray hunched over with her eyes shut tight, and her teeth grinding against each other. She was breathing heavily while I had jumped to my feet in fear of something wrong happening.
“What’s wrong!?”
“Nng! It’s nothing.”
“Are you okay?” Nightsky asked with a worried expression on her face.
“Y-yeah… i-i’m fine.” She hardly got her words out as she started to tear up from the pain she was feeling. Well I assume that anyway.
“Here.”
I walked over to her and carefully picked her up without touching her wings and walked into the living room. Nightsky followed, and I walked to the couch and set her down nice and carefully. She tried to sit up but she flinched again and gritted her teeth even more.
Please, l-lay down, you’re hurt!” Nightsky had a shudder in her voice as she spoke.
“I-it’s okay Nighty, I’m fine.” She choked on her words for a few seconds but finally got them out. Her breathing got heavier as she started to tear up again.
“Please lay down, I hate seeing you like this!”
“Here I think I know how to help. My friend did this for my ankle when I broke it. She knew just what to do, and now I do too.”
I walked over to them and Nightsky, surprisingly, guarded Gray.
“It’s okay, I’m not going to hurt her.”
“How do I know that? What if Sunrise is right and you actually are going to hurt us?” Nightsky started to tear up as they collected in the corner of her eyes.
“Just, trust me on this.”
Nightsky was very hesitant, but slowly moved aside and sat down next to Gray, and laid Gray’s head on her lap. I crouched down, and very carefully took Gray’s right wing in my hand and she flinched and I stayed still for a few seconds. After I was sure she was fine, I began to rub her wing with barely any pressure, as to not hurt her wing too much. She was starting to let out little whimpers with her eyes shut tight, as I went up and down her wing slowly. There were sounds of hoofsteps coming from the stairway, and soon I saw Sunrise come into the living room, with a wet mane and tail. He saw what I was doing to Gray, and his eyes turned into pure hate and he glared daggers at me.
“Hey what are you doing to her!?” He ran at me and Gray stopped him.
“Relax, nngh, he’s not hurting me. He’s helping.”
“But you’re in pain! And he’s causing it.”
“But it’s also helping! It may hurt but it helps the pain in my wing.”
“But…”
“Damnit Sunrise! Why do you have to be so stubborn!? Why can’t you just give him a chance!?”
“Because I’m scared!” As Sunrise said that, Gray’s look of hatred turned into one of confusion.
“What?”
“I’m scared. I’m scared because… because everything we knew and loved is gone now! We lost everything, and we have nothing left anymore! And now this thing is trying to help us and he wasn’t even afraid of us before! And I want to know why!? Why aren’t you afraid of us, why aren’t you trying to get rid of us!? WHY!?”
“Because… when I lived with my mother, I was treated like garbage. I was never really cared about, I was never involved unless others were around. I hardly had any friends, and the one’s that were close, I never got to see them because my mother never wanted me to be with them. I never had a life to call my own.” I had stopped rubbing Gray’s wing as I had started talking. “So I didn’t want my life to be like your’s. When I saw how scared you all were, I saw myself in you all. And I didn’t want my childhood to be like your’s. And you were tore from your home, so I saw more of a reason to help you all. That’s why I’m not scared. That’s why… I’m helping you.” Not only that, I’m helping because I know what would have happened. I thought to myself as I looked at them all as they looked back with confusion in their faces.
So how did you all like that ending. Pretty sad right? Well let me know if there is anything that you would want to happen once everything calms down with Sunrise and me. He helps me with getting the characters just right, and I mean just right. One day me and him argued over him being too, uh, what's the word? Descriptive in his characters. And some of you weren’t liking how Sunrise hit me and knocked me to the wall and how he wasn’t even afraid of me. Well you can thank him for that, just because he wanted his characters exactly how he has them. And I agree with Texus about how Sunrise would still be scared of me.
