A Bad Apple
Family's Love
Load Full StoryApplebloom was laying down on her favorite hill that overlooked her family's apple orchard (Sweet Apple Acres); normally she would be happy to look down on the orchard, but not today. Today she had been a bad apple.
It started when she got into a fight with her friends, the worst part was they forgot what they were fighting about as soon as they started. They had stormed away from each other not caring about the other or what they had been fighting about.
When she got back home she slammed the door shut, that had alerted Applejack to the distress of the young filly and came to see what was wrong. Applejack walked into the living room to see an upset Applebloom, “Applebloom what's wrong? Did something happen? Are you oaky?” Applejack asked.
But Applebloom was still mad and lashed out at Applejack, “it's non of your business.”
Applejack frowned, “sugar cube, tell me what's wrong. I'll help you.
But Applebloom didn't want help, “just leave me alone, I hate it when you try to help, I hate you.” And ran out of the house.
She had come to the hill to be alone and started crying as soon as she lay down, she didn't even know why she got mad at her friends and Applejack. Why did she say she hated Applejack, she loved her. Applebloom just cried until she fell asleep, hating herself for what she said to Applejack.
The sun was setting when Applebloom woke up, she felt something warm on her side and herd someone humming a lullaby that she knew all to well. Slowly opening her eyes Applebloom saw Applejack laying down next to her looking out at the orchard as she hummed the lullaby that she use to sing to Applebloom every night when she was younger.
Applebloom couldn't understand why Applejack was here acting like nothing had happened, when she had been a bad apple. Her head shot up and before applejack could say anything Applebloom spoke up, “I'm sorry, I didn't...” Applebloom couldn't finish as Applejack brought her head around to nuzzle Applebloom's silently saying 'there nothing to be sorry for.'
That only made Applebloom start to cry into Applejack's neck, not understanding why Applejack was forgiving her so easily. She was a bad apple and bad apple should not be forgiven so easily.
Applejack kissed the top of Applebloom's head and went back to looking out at Sweet Apple Acres, and humming her lullaby. Applejack stop went Big Mac lay down next her, “how is she doing?”
Applejack smiled as she brush some of Applebloom's hair with her hoof, “she'll be okay. She just had a hard day, and need some rest.”
Smiling Big Mac leaned down and the two nuzzled each other for a bit before Applejack went back to humming the lullaby as Big Mac stood watch over his girls.
From a distance away Granny Smith watched the three apples laying down together knowing that they would be okay, because after all they are family in more ways then most know. Turning around Granny Smith went back to the farm house knowing that her three good apples were a happy family again.
