prologue 1: the power of chakra

This. Sucks. One thousand and five hundred years being trapped in my sword I mean. I know it's what I get for being careless and over-confident but that is what happens when you turn your back on treacherous ponies. It's all black and white with them, never an in between, but I seem to be getting ahead of myself. My name is, as of now at least, Aries.

Now you may be wondering how exactly I got sealed in my own weapon and sealed in Tartarus. That is right, they couldn't just stop at making me a piece of silverware. They also made sure I was in the darkest and hardest to escape prison in the world. Hard for most anyway. They believe if I were to break out of my little cage, they would at least have enough time to prepare and hopefully seal me back before I got past that pup of a watch dog. Little do they know that big guy is little more than an annoyance for me. Nothing more. The only reason he is even that is because he has proved effective in fending off my followers.

There are some upsides to this rather than being sealed in stone however, it's like being sealed in my own mind in a way, here I have been able to train up my abilities. I feel the worst about the others. With me the tailed beasts were able to roam free to an extent, yes they helped me when I asked, and I had been researching a way to separate them from me semi permanently, so that they didn’t need to rely on shadow clones as vessels. That all changed when the elements of harmony attacked, the majority of them was ripped away from me and sealed into nine stone orbs, they have been able to communicate with me, as just enough of them was left behind so that I did not die.

Now, the Elements of Harmony are rather powerful, even I am not strong enough to fight their full power off... Yet. The seal on me by those accursed gems is so intricate and extensive. working on undoing these seals has proven very challenging. It's not just a signal seal either, I found out the hard way, it's a layered seal. Seals within seals, each one just as intricate and extensive as the last. I have undone thousands of them and cannot see and end to them, but I am getting close, I know I am. Over the years the magic that sustained it has dwindled, the seals are no different, but I am having an easier time breaking them. Their weakening and soon maybe even after the one I'm currently working on I will be free, I can feel it. just a few more touches here... break this sub seal here... annnnd that's it! now the nex-

Third Person POV

The sword began to glow a vibrant gold, the energy emitting from it began to become more and more solid as it shaped into a bipedal figure, the seals that once held the warrior within it now broken. Failsafe seals set by the prisoner’s wardens began to activate, chains of all sizes from the size of threads to as thick as a minotaur arm made of the strongest magic reinforced steel possible began to wrap around the statue like snakes attempting to strangle its prey. Covering every inch in an attempt to restrain the entity within, magic shields began to activate and enclose it and finally a magic signal was sent out to warn the last ones who know of him.

*SLICE!!*

Suddenly the chains were cut to pieces, revealing the entity within. A bipedal creature standing roughly 5’8 feet tall. It’s skin had a subtle glow to it, though it was not gold like its hair or some of its clothing. Black spheres hovered behind it in a circle. sprouting from its back were two large wings that made the void look bright and from either side of its head a curved horn as white as fresh snow. The creature began to walk forward as if the magic shields were not there, and they may as well have not been there as they shattered on contact with him.

"So, this is it. I'm finally free! It's hard to believe that it was so long ago that this started, that I trusted them, I protected them, and they hid the truth from me. They expected the world to just forget their sins and allow them to go unchecked, that they could keep hold of a home that they had slaughtered countless innocents for." He said, as he continued to walk down the path that led to the entrance to Tartarus as various sentinels attempted to contain him only to be obliterated by the black spheres that he wielded. As he came face to face with the big puppy himself, he couldn't help but think back to a simpler time, one when he lived in peace with them…

“SIT!!!”

Flashback 1st pov aries

Ahh anime conventions... The sites, the cosplayers, the things you can find in the shops! It's all just amazing! And my costume is my pride and joy. I spent months working on it. I didn't want to just buy a premade costume that would be slightly too big, slightly too small or made of some cheap material. No. I would not have that, I wanted a costume that showed quality, unlike last year when I went in a cheap costume only to run into people whose costumes made mine look like some cheap dollar store Halloween costume. I spent all year after that embarrassing event making this work of art. I had to learn how to sew! but now I'm dressed as Naruto just after he met the sage of six paths and instead of cheap cotton, it's made mostly out of silk.

There are other materials but I like the way silk shines, and the truth seeking balls were by far the hardest part. Making them out of something easy enough to suspend on thin wires and light enough that they wouldn't bend them plus not looking like shite? Again, I love silk. The sewing was difficult but once I got the invisible stitch down it wasn't too hard, really it was getting the wires into spherical skeletons to put the silk over was the tough part. Now then, I know I was supposed to meet Travis and Tyler at the food court, but I still have another hour before their supposed to get here.

As I walked by the shops I saw many other cosplayers in the area, I even managed to spot someone dressed as sasuke and edo Madara. As I walked I couldn't help but be drawn to this stall whose owner was cosplaying as the merchant from resident evil, his costume was extremely accurate to, even looked the part to... Kinda creepy. He had lots of different things in his stall. a book detailing jutsu from Naruto, sharingan contacts, old man yamas zanpakuto, a... Why is that even out in the open?

A death note, although I love learning new things and the sharingan has always been one of my favorite powers in naruto, what really drew my attention was the little plushies of the Tailed Beasts! I know plushies aren't as cool as the rest of that stuff, but I'm a sucker for cute stuff! Plus Naruto has a link to all of them at this point so it fits!

"Something catch your eye?" The merchant asks... Wow, he even has the voice down packed!

"Ehm... Yeah, how much for the Tailed Beast plushies?" I ask.

"Ahh, a good choice, these will go well with your attire. For you? Ten dollars." He responds.

"Deal!!" I can't believe I got them for so cheap, they're really good quality. I pulled out my wallet retrieved the money and was just about to hand him the money when there was a bright flash of light and then darkness…

3rd pov

The merchant blinked owlishly as what was supposed to be his latest victim vanished. He looked down at the items he was about to sell to him and found nothing but piles of ash. He sniffed the air and smelled the scent of powerful harmonic magic. He snarled before roaring in anger and vanishing in black fire terrifying the people around him.

“It’s the terrorists I tell you!!”

“Shut up Bill you're not helping!!”

2 hours later

The void

The merchant paced back and forth in his true form, how dare that bitch steal from him!!! She wasn’t even the prime version! He couldn’t go near the cluster. Faust was definitely not a fan of his, so going anywhere near there would be a bad idea. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t get revenge in other ways...

TREE OF HARMONY CAVE DURING DISCORD'S REIGN 3rd pov.

She paced back and forth in her gilded cage. She was powerless. Without a being strong enough with the proper chakra’s open, she could not channel her power through them, but even if there were such a being, nopony knew of her damned location to retrieve her elements. The tree that her prison had grown into had undone most of the restrictions on her power, but still left her stuck within it. The only way for her to be free was from outside help, and only a being with power equal to or greater than her own could do so.

Magnus might be able to help, if he ever pulled that thousand yard stick out his butt and left his castle. Kratos was most certainly useless to her, as he was more likely to just slaughter all her little ponies and her before taking all of her power. Hermaeus Mora would tell her how to get out without outside help, but only after she told him ALL of her secrets, and she could not let that monster know how to ascend mortals into demigods and eventually true gods. It was bad enough that two of her ponies had found out a way to accomplish this in part. They were only about a 3rd as strong as if they had ascended by her power or had ascended properly.

She was trapped and could only watch as the world was in chaos, all because of her children.. Her ponies, while they had brought it on themselves, they suffered the worst. None were shown forgiveness, all were sent to the nether regardless of what they had done to deserve it, or even if they didn't at all.… the other gods did not even bother allowing them judgment, and to make matters worse they had created an abomination out of the negative energies her little ponies had generated to torment them in life, poetic justice if there ever was any, at least to them.

She doubted they would let her make any changes at this point even if she were to break free, not after what her ponies had done, the pantheon had officially branded them a damned race doomed for eternal torment after death. If she wanted to make changes she would have to take all the living ponies in the world and create a new universe for them, which she never had the power to do on her own, and even if she did it would mean leaving those within the nether behind to suffer for eternity.

Her only other option was revelution. She would have to kill some members of the pantheon like Kratos, Magnus, odin and Zeus as they would not compromise with her at all, especially after the genocide of the centaurs and gargoyles. She knew that a couple would join her, as Shenron was wise enough to know that her ponies simply lacked guidance. So long as no one touched his realm, Hermaeus Mora would be indifferent about her actions. This left only Gaia and Pele. As it stood she was out numbered if they abstained from participating in what was to come, and severely outnumbered should they join zeus.

She had already secured Shenrons support, but Gaia and Pele refused to speak with her. She knew it would only prove counter intuitive to contact anyone on atlantis.Her options were limited, she couldn’t travel very far in her spriggan form, at most she could skim the edges of the forest without it crumbling into nothing. There was one option she could exploit, but she didn’t know if she had the heart to do it even if the opportunity presented itself. One of the benefits she had being stuck in her gilded cage was her ability to scry. Nothing escaped her sight within this world, and she even had the ability to look through the multiverse.

She even discovered another, much stronger version, however despite her pleading it would not help her so she looked elsewhere. In her search for a champion of sorts to aid her, she came across may beings with immense power, but none among them had the will to do what she needed, it wasn’t a matter of willpower, no some of them had willpower of unfathomable levels. No, she just could not find one with the power she needed that would help her.

And the beings that would help lacked the kind of power that she needed. If she was to achieve her goals she was going to have to build up a new champion, she would have to create a new god. However, there has never once been a pony born into this world worthy of becoming one, and in her current state, she couldn’t create one. At best she could create a demigod, but nothing more.

There was one option that she could utilize, she could bring a lesser being here and give him power from elsewhere. It would be less taxing on her power to do so, however she would need a conduit to channel her power through, which was the part she did not think she had the heart to do, as whomever she used would die in the process.

As she looked through the multiverse she found one individual that might very well have the qualities she needed, but he had no power what so ever. And he was in danger too. The creature he was speaking to was hiding it’s true motives from him, if he took the deal it was offering, it he would only give more power to it. As she was looking at the individual a group of ponies approached her cave.

“Sister, are you sure this is the place?” The alabaster mare asked her sister.

“Yes, the maps and old text all point to this area to being the location of the seed of faust. If we find it, we may be able to free her, and she could defeat discord!” She responded.

“But what if it isn’t here?” Asked a dark yellow pegasus flying not to far away from them keeping watch.

“Then at least we have a safe place to hide from him flitterbee.” Said the light purple mare leading the group.

“Safe? How is living in this dreadful place safe?” asked her sister.

“Would you rather be in here where we might run into something dangerous? Or would you rather take your chances out there where discord can find you?” Asked a light brown earth pony keeping watch at the back of the group.

“I think Applesauce is right, if we head outside of equestria just about every other race will kill us on sight, at least here we only have to worry about stray predators.” Said a hot pink mare with a straight droopy mane.

“Girls in here!!” Said another pegasus as she was looking into a cave.

Faust watched as the six mares walked into the cave, this was going to be the best chance she was ever going to get, these six had all the right qualities to wield her elements, but some of them were buried under the misery that discord had caused, and they were not strong enough even if this wasn’t the case. As they entered the cave she made the mouth of the cave shut with thick foliage trapping them in.

“What the hey!!” the pegasus shouted as a vine shot after her and wrapped around her. The other mares were not as luck as many more vines, they let out blood curtailing screams as the vines pierced their flesh and surrounded their magic cores. Their bodies started to go numb, and just before they passed out they heard a very comforting voice, it was barely above a whisper, but carried the weight of a thousand worlds. .

“I’m sorry.”

prologue 2: chaotic battles

1st pov aries

When I came to I was in a tunnel of some sorts. There was at least a foot of water on the floor, I could barely see and there were pipes running along the walls. Where am I? The last thing I remember was me about to hand that one dude the money for those plushies than I end up here… Where is here? Well just standing here twiddling my thumbs ain’t gonna get me out.. So let’s see if I can’t get the hell out. It sorta looks like i’m in a flooded maintenance area.. But…. This all looks familiar.. I make a turn and find myself in a massive circular room with 9 colossal gates. My eyes are like dinner plates as I stare in awe at this all too familiar sight. So I’m guessing I shouldn’t have had mushrooms on my pizza earlier.

“So the new warden decides to finally give us a visit.” The deep gravel like voice of kurama says. “And he has the audacity to show up in that form.” He growls.

“Calm yourself Kurama. At the very least we can move now, at the very least we can move now, instead of being simple pieces of fabric.” Gyuki said.

“Please don’t remind me.. That was one of the worse things that’s ever happened to me..” Matatabi shiverse.

“Can someone please, for fucks sake tell me what’s going on?!?” I shout in a panic.

“From what we have gathered, we have been placed within you by a powerful being with an unknown energy. You're lucky we cannot break it, otherwise we would have broken out of here by now.” Kurama says.

“And what ever that being was changed you to have this form.” Son Goku said.

“Form?” I ask confused before looking down… I recall being chubbier than that.. And as I feel my body I find other things I don’t recall having… like a six pack. A big thing is my hair, which is longer and… yellow?!?! I look down into the water and instead of seeing my reflection, i see Naruto. As in it looks like the actual anime character is standing in a mirror in place of my reflection. I stare at “my” reflection for a good minute or so before my brain finishes processing what just happened. And then things go black. When I come to again I’m still in the same room as before. The tailed beasts are conversing.

“I still say we kill him and be done with it.” Grumbled Shukaku.

“And you're entitled to your opinions, but we are not going back to being mindless beast like before. It’s clear he is just as much a victim in this as we are. We find a way to separate from him, it just won’t be as easy as last time.” Said Son.

“He fainted at his own reflection!!! And if he is that idiot from that market than he couldn’t even be considered a gennin! Hell an academy student would be enough to kill him with ease!!!” Kurama yelled.

“I know that. We all know that. All the more reason to teach him. He won’t be able to help us at all if he can’t master his chakra.” Said Saiken.

“W-What’s going on?” I ask.

“Well kid you have two choices. One, you can wait here until you're body rots away from not moving and starvation until it’s weak enough for us to rip our way out, or you can learn to become an S-Class shinobi so you’ll have the right skill level to figure out how to free us and keep a small enough portion of our chakra so you don’t die in the process.” Shukaku said rather bluntly. Is he from New York or something?

“Yea no dieing please, I like living and not many things could change that…” I chuckle nervously.

“Well good. Now the first step is going to be bonding our chakra so yours isn’t fighting a war to keep us suppressed along with whatever this other energy is.” Kurama.

“Cool, so uhh… how do I do that?” I ask.

“IMA KILL EM!!!”

TEN YEARS LATER

Ten years. It has been ten years of the most brutal training imaginable. But it was worth it, I mastered all the jutsu all of the tailed beasts knew which happened to include everything they're previous hosts knew and it was quite extensive. I elected to learn how to make shadow clones first to speed up my training. thankfully my body didn't need much training. I just needed to practice the jutsu and build my body just a bit. By far the hardest jutsu to master was surprisingly not senjutsu but the wood style.

I know Naruto was not able to use wood style in the war but I was able to recreate it. It was not easy of course but by the time I was finished I was on Hashirama's level. Now I know what you're thinking, only Hashirama and those with his cells can use wood style because it is his kekkei genkai but this is not completely true however, let me explain. A kekkei genkai can be a special trait to a clan or individual. The wood style is just earth nature chakra mixed with water nature chakra to create wood style.

The wood style requires massive amounts of life force in the user, Hashirama had this in spades. With the sage of six paths senjutsu I am able to use all five elements and make perfect use of yin-yang release and was eventually able to use the needed natures for the wood style out of that mode. One's life force is determined by their yang chakra, Naruto's yang chakra is massive by itself, but let's not forget I have all nine Tailed Beasts to back that part up. So with enough practice I was able to rival Hashirama's level of wood style, maybe even surpass it.

In these past ten years I haven't aged, this was odd at first as I first noticed it after the three first years, we looked into this and discovered some form of energy that had permanently locked me in this age effectively making me ageless. It sucks that my body will never reach adulthood but at least I can still get stronger and my body is only a couple of years younger than when I got here. Kurama said naruto was about seventeen and a half so that's only two and a half years younger. Now they have nothing left to teach me, having several hundred clones speed my training made me learn a lot during my training though not without a massive headache at the end of each day.

Matatabi was nice enough to use medical jutsu to ease the pain, but even still it was a lot to handle. The beasts of the everfree have proven to be no threat to me they even seem somewhat friendly with sage mode activated. I flipped when a Timberwolf actually spoke to me. Apparently I'm "One with the forest." As it or rather he put it. I tried speaking with him with it deactivated but all I could hear was barking until I reactivated it. The Timberwolf was on edge afterwards but after some explaining on what sage mode was it understood and I got my first summon soon after.

Now I'm leaving the place that I have called home, the ever present Tree of Harmony's cave. As I approach the edge of the forest were Equestria is supposed to be I notice that instead of a village I see checkered grass as far as the eye can see, pink clouds with dull colored pegasi trying to detach themselves from them, earth ponies and unicorns moping about as random events happen to them with each step.
Only one being in this universe is capable of doing this. Discord. In my time in the forest I have learned how to detect magic like I detect nature energy, though I'm unable to harness it or use it I can still detect it.

The magic in the everfree forest was extremely jumbled, it was constantly shifting and changing everywhere but the cave I called home, no doubt the Tree of Harmony's doing. But here it was stable, well more so than the forest, a constant field only spiking were there was a sentient life such as the ponies, though it felt somewhat sinister, no doubt discord's power causing this. I won't allow this, I don't know why he's doing this but it's wrong! I rocket to the strongest and most malevolent magic signature I can find, and what I find is incredible. It's like five tailed beast's power combined and turned into magic even at this distance.

It takes me a few hours to finally find the bastard but I found him. And he is even stronger than I thought, he's as strong as nine tailed beasts. Thankfully I'm stronger than that. As it turns Naruto's chakra by itself rivals a Tailed Beasts, so I'm as strong as the ten tails, well... almost? it's complicated. I should say I'm about as strong as the shinju in it's second form before it becomes the tree. I ain't nowhere near Kaguya's level... yet. I activate my senjutsu of six paths and channel the tailed beasts chakra to summon my Truth Seeking Balls. This gets his attention as I walk towards him.

"What's this? A new plaything perhaps?" He mocks with an amused expression.

"No, why are you doing this to these innocent ponies?!" I demand while I float up to be on eye level with him.

"Innocent!? BWAAHAHAHAAA!!!" He chuckles as though this was just some light hearted joke to him.

"This isn't funny! stop tormenting them!" I demand.

"And why should I do that?" He asks.

"Because if you don't I'll make you." I threaten.

"And why would you face death just to save these filthy little thi- ..... oh that's rich! Does the old bitch think here spoiled brat's deserve another chance?!" He rambles. Old bitch? The hell is he talking about?

"What are you talking about!!? make se-GAK!" I start but he interrupts me by blitzing me faster than I can track him, his fist digs into my gut and sends me flying. I open my eyes to see him glaring at me and readies another punch.

"She had her chance. Now her brat's need to be punished." He says and launches a punch. I block but he still sends me flying into the ground, but not before i slip a Flying Thunder God mark on him.

I impact the ground like a meteor. without this new body and all of the chakra strengthening it I would have died with that first punch. He reappears in front of me ready to throw another punch, what he doesn't expect was me disappearing as he throws it, nor does he expect a rasengan to the back. He goes flying a few dozen feet before he stops himself and turns to me. He launches a sphere of magic at me before charging me I use the mark to teleport behind him catching him off guard again. I launch a mini Tailed Beast Bomb at him sending him off yet again. How is he not sensing me? Can he not sense my chakra? I have enough of it to rival his magic and then some. if so then this gives me one hell of an advantage. He crashes into the ground and bounces a few times before skidding to a halt.

"You're stronger than I thought... None but the gods could face me with any success. But even still, you're doomed to fail." He says while getting up. "Never before have I actually had the pleasure of a real fight, or any that could cause me pain. Congratulations on being the first and last to get this far." He says before vanishing again, this time I'm ready for him, I dodge his fist albeit barely and knee him in the side of the head. He responds by a elbow to the back. We begin exchanging blows, every time our fists collide it sends out a shock wave. I side step to the left and try an high kick, he ducks and tosses a punch at me, I dodge and latch onto his arm before twisting rapidly tearing it off and using it to smack him.

He staggers back a bit, he aims his stump at me and the arm pulls me back to him, he wraps his hand around my throat as his arm reattaches itself. Using the mark I placed on him I teleport out of his grasp and behind him and swipe at him with a lightning blade, only for him to duck while spinning and throw a punch coated in yellow magic. I block and return his punches. we are zooming over the land as we fight, he lands a punch at me that sends me to the ground. He aims his talon at me and starts firing off blasts of magic. I dodge each one but at the cost of getting far away from him and losing visual sight of him through the smoke.

He teleports behind me and throws a punch at me, using my flying thunder god jutsu once again I teleport behind him. I ready a rasengan and try to hit him with it, but he doesn't fall for the same trick again. He anticipates me this time and blocks me with a pair of arms that sprout from the back of his shoulders.

"Please there's a better way than this! leave the ponies alone and we don't have to fight!" I pleaded, only to be ignored. He responds by barraging me with punches, each one like a meteor slamming into me.

"Enough second chances! They will suffer for their crimes!!!" He shouts. I activate the Dust Style with my truth seeking orbs, it works in dematerializing his arms, but only the immediate area that it touches. God smacked, he doesn't react fast enough when I use the orbs to destroy his torso. With a look of complete shock he falls to the ground, all that's left is his arms, head and lower body.

"I'm sorry." I say with a sigh. I begin to walk away after a moment of silence. The chaos magic around me is fading. But suddenly it spikes behind me.

"If you think this over, you're sorely mistaken." He says from behind me in a deeper and distorted voice. His form has changed, instead of the whacky chimera from before he is now a 50 meter tall oriental dragon with goat horns and lion hind legs. He forms a spear out of red and golden energy and throws it at me, I barely dodge it as it rockets past me with the force of a hurricane. When the spear hits it explodes with massive force! The shock wave pushes me back from even this distance.

He charges at me and throws a punch at me, I barely have time to block as his fist sends me flying effortlessly. I'm driven through several mountains until I am buried in the core of one. Using what little time I have I summon a few hundred shadow clones and send them to distract him. With the power he has in this form I have no choice. I have to use my strongest form. I begin to charge my chakra until I'm at my limit, and then take a page out of Sakura's book and start focusing as much as I can into a mark in my forehead. Once I am at my absolute limit of chakra I activate my Justu.

"Six Paths: Tailed Beast Veritable 1000 Armed Kannon!" I shout activating my jutsu. I take on my six armed Tailed beast state. Inside of my avatar grows a dense wooden skeletal structure, thick wooden armor covers most of my avatar save for the mid of it's back where the thousand arm piece is. I take my truth seeking orbs and merge them into one large one, before splitting them into thirty smaller ones. I move them onto my avatars claws and activate the Dust style on them.

I burst out of the mountain and rocket towards Discord who has destroyed the last of my clones. He moves to match me and we collide in with fists flying. He has to move fast and keep re growing arms as my Dust style claws keep chopping them off, at the same time he is putting up a massive fight matching me blow for blow. I draw back a bit and create a massive Tailed Beast rasenshuriken. I summon a shadow clone and have it sneak behind him while doing this and have it place a teleportation mark on his back. Once the mark is in place I teleport my attack to him and detonate it. While I can sense a large drop in magic in him from that attack, this is far from over at this rate. Already this battle is taking a large portion of my chakra. I need to end this quickly.

"Please! We don't need to do this!!!" I plead.

"Typical agent of harmony. Always thinking their can be peace and love with even the worst of beings." He says before summoning another spear. I can't let him fire off another one of those! if only I had the moon seal! this would be over in an instant! I teleport behind him and cut off the arm forming the spear and cut it off, the resulting explosion obliterates the area around us and destroys most of the armor of my avatar, thankfully I was able to retreat into the skull before it went off. When the smoke clears he is in bad shape and his magic took a major blow from his own attack, the magical backlash likely did more damage than an attack of similar power could have done.
I have one last move that could work, the very move I stored chakra in this mark for. Channeling all the tailed beasts power in unison I focus it into my wood style. I form the head of a large rabbit with a third eye in the middle. Using every ounce of chakra I can spare I fire off my ultimate attack.

"DIVINE TAILED BEAST BOMB!" I say as I fire of the dark red orb. i toss a chunk of wood with the flying thunder god mark on it. I teleport back to my cave. the shockwave rocks the earth and the winds are like that of a massive hurricane!!! I wait an hour before teleporting back, the chunk of wood has barely made it back to the ground as I appear over the sight of our battle....or what's left of it. To my horror he is still standing, beat all to hell but it seems he took a direct hit. However his magic reserves are still high enough to put up a hell of a fight. I teleport back to the cave just as he is about to hit me. He won't be able to find me here, at least not for a while anyway. Damn it! if I could just use the elements! that would have been over in an instant! sigh... at least I was able to find my current limit though and after that encounter it's obvious that I'm going to need to get stronger. Much stronger in order to combat foes like him, and when Tirek gets here, I’m not anywhere near as strong as I'll need to be in order to take him on. I have to find a way to get stronger. But how! man if only I had gone as Beerus or Whis at that convention, if I had been turned into either of them I'd be strong enough to take him down in an instant. Wait a minute... Hmmm yes that might actually work, difficult but not impossible.
In DBZ Cell was a petri dish of genetic code from the strongest warriors in the universe, or at least the ones known at the time, and had all of their strengths.

If I can somehow add genetic code from strong creatures and gain their abilities then I could get even stronger. Wait a minute... That's it! If I can add some alicorn DNA to myself then perhaps I could get my own magic. It might not be much compared to what discord has but it would certainly be enough to boost my power some and with magic it would make combating magic users easier. But if I'm correct the only possible alicorns in this time period would be Sunbutt and Moonbutt, they will do though. Now all I have to do is get a blood sample from them and a lab and I'll be able to do this. Now then where might I be able to find them? Their energies would be quite sizeable and would have positive energy to it. I'll need to rest for a while to gather my strength so I can do so.

ONE WEEK LATER ARIES POV

It has been a week since my encounter with discord. In that week I've recovered most of my strength and am now ready to look for the royal sisters. It’s still hard to believe he was at that level, I knew he was strong, but that? Even after a direct hit from my divine tailed beast bomb he was still strong enough to keep up with me at my normal strength. Every time I did damage to him he only pulled out more power. Was he even using his full power? I need to get stronger, and unless there is a Gedo statue nearby, it doesn’t look like I’m going to get much more chakra at this point. If I had the rinnegan I would have one hell of an advantage, but unfortunately I don’t.

If I want to get stronger I need to acquire magic, and the strongest magic that I can think of aside from the elements here, and they don’t have DNA, is alicorn magic. Getting dna from Discord is just too dangerous at this point.. That is if he even has DNA to collect. I activate my sage of six paths senjutsu and channel the Tailed Beasts chakra to maximise my sensory range. It seems Discord has calmed down some, though now he won't underestimate me or give me a chance to get the drop on him.

I hate not being able to go after him myself but the devastation from our last fight has already caused enough damage. Now, where are they.... There! at the edge of the forest are two extremely strong magic signatures, and no malevolence in them either. This has to be them, they aren't anywhere near as strong as discord but are about as strong as two tailed beasts each. I make my way through the forest and keep a low profile dropping the chakra cloak and staying as quiet as possible as I get near their position and find a campsite. It's them! there sitting next to a fire talking with one another. They haven't spotted me yet, alright now how to approach them. I need to make sure they don't think I'm a threat. I drop down silently and walk forward. Just as i am about to come out I step on a twig…. Shit.

“Who’s there?!” Celestia shouts.

3rd pov

Celestia and Luna sat next to their camp fire conversing on the past week's event. They had been on their way to combat Discord now that they had finally believed they had reached their peak, but when they arrived there the devastation they found was mind-boggling, they found a massive crater where Discord throne had been and Discord was rampaging about in a terrifying form cursing an unseen opponent that had apparently fled. They had been confident with the power they had obtained by ascending that they could finally take down the tyrant that had tormented them and their ponies for so long.

It had taken the magic of two thousand S-Class of each of the three tribes, six thousand in all, in order to complete the ritual to make them what they are now. They had been completely changed, the life force of every last pony and their magic focused into them. The ritual had changed them in every way except mentally. They were still who they were before, but not what they were before, they had been changed on a genetic level. Their magic, strength and speed were now god like, but even after everything, all those lives lost, all that effort and the level of magic they felt in the AFTERMATH of the battle made theirs look like that of a sick ant. They had no hope of defeating him, all those lives wasted! and for what? they were not any closer to defeating discord then they were before.

"Tia what have we done? Because of us so many lives were lost and for what? So that we may be immortal goddesses that are powerless to do anything?" Luna asked defeated, she had lost so many friends in the ritual, all of them had put their hope in her..

"I don't believe that, there has to be some way we can defeat him! something to amplify our powers some artifact strong enough to take him down. I won't give up until we've beaten him." Celestia stated, she would not let their sacrifice be in vain. She would do everything in her power to take Discord down, but what!? The alicorn amulet was out of the question, it would amplify their power but at the cost of being corrupted beyond repair if they wore it for too long, and that was if they could even find it. The crystal heart was out as it only worked when enough positive emotions were put into it and even then it would be useless outside of the crystal empire and even if that wasn't the case there was no guarantee it would be strong enough to take him down anyway. There had to be something! But what?!

"Tia what can we do? There are none strong enough to take him down and it would take centuries if not millennium to create an artifact that could work on him. We need to find a way to get stronger." Luna said finally coming to a conclusion of her own. If they could get stronger than they maybe eventually they could take on discord together.

"How Luna? We trained for two hundred years to get where we are now and we stop getting stronger thirty years ago. We are as strong as we are going to get naturally, and even if we still could then it would take just as long if not longer to reach his level." Celestia retorted. Luna wanted to argue, but how? Celestia was right. Their power had plateaued years ago and no matter what form of training they tried it seemed to be of no use. Without some sort of weapon or artifact they were doomed to fail. They knew every spell that pony kind had and not one would be be able to give them an advantage.

"Then what are we going to make to do this?" Luna asked.

"I don't know." Celestia answered. She had been through her tomes many times looking over their options, there were a couple of artifacts that if real would guarantee their victory. The elements of harmony being their best hope, but unfortunately they were just a myth, one they had searched for several years now.

"Well while you think on what trinket we should make for this I'm going to get something to eat." Luna said as she got up, but as she was about to make her way into the forest to forage they heard something in the bushes near their camp.

"Who's there!" Celestia shouted as she shot up charging her horn with magic and Luna reading her swords.

Aries pov

As they get into defensive stances I try to think of a way to calm the situation. I haven't even showed myself! they must really be on edge at the moment.

"Well if you're going to be rude and brandish swords at me then I don't think I'll tell you." I say from my hiding spot they seem to have followed where my voice was coming from because there staring right where I am.

"This Isn't a game! and we have no time for this. Be on your way or else." Luna states pointing her sword in my direction.

"So even if I could give you a way to defeat Discord you would still have me leave?" I ask as I begin to back away. This gets their attention.

"Wait!" Celestia shouts "What do you mean you have a way to defeat Discord? We have tried everything that could possibly work and have not been able to." She says not believing i actually do have a way but it's obvious she hopes she's wrong.

"Have you considered the elements of harmony by any chance?" I ask with a sly grin they can't see.

"The elements? Now I know you're wasting our time. The elements are nothing but a myth." Luna says in an unamused tone.

"Really now? because I know where they are and see them every day in the forest." I retort

“Impossible! Show us. If they do exist then we need them now!" She says.

"And why would I do that? You have yet to give me anything in return." I say about to state my deal, but as I'm reaching for the vials to put the blood in I'm ripped from my hiding spot by Celestia's magic.

"Enough! Either tell me where it is or I will rip the information from your head!" She shouts in my face but as she sees for me for the first time she drops me, they have looks of shock and confusion on their faces.

"What are you?" Luna asks hesitantly "I am a human, and for your information sunbutt, if you even try to that again I'll be gone long before you get close." I state.

“What!? No that’s impossible, humans are just a myth they don’t really exist.” Luna states not believing me.

“Oh really? Then tell me what do I look like to you?” I ask with a smug smirk. But before Luna has an opportunity to say anything else on the matter Celestia interrupts her.

“Enough! I don’t care what you are. If you know where the elements are then tell us.” Celestia demands.

“Again, why would I do that when you have been so unkind to me and have offered nothing in return?” She isn't happy about this.

"You will tell us one way or another." She says.

"I never said I wasn't going to tell you. I just asked what's in it for me?" I say.

"If you tell us where they are you can have Tia!" Luna says shockingly.

"Now hold on! I'm not some bargaining chip!" Celestia sputters with a blush developing on her face.

"Oh please Tia, you haven't ever been able to keep a stallion, maybe this would work." Luna says.

"Um yeah, no thanks. I actually had something else in mind." I say somewhat odded out by the situation

"Ha! Even when you're offered as part of a deal the stallions still want me more!" Luna says as she takes a victorious pose.

"Umm no. No I don't." AsI say this Luna's eyes shoot wide open with shocked expression causing Celestia to smirk.

"what do you want then?" Celestia asks.
I pull out the vials and present them to the sisters.

"Just fill these up with your blood and I'll take you to the Tree of Harmony." i say bluntly already a bit exasperated by that little… unexpected turn of events… They aren't too happy with the idea.

"And what do you want our blood for." Celestia asks somewhat aggressively.

"What I do with it is my business. If you want me to take you to the elements then fill these up with your blood." I say. Reluctantly they take the vials and fill them by making small cuts and pulling out the blood with their magic. They hand them back to me.

"Don't make us regret this." Celestia says. Man if I wasn't strong enough to take them down that look alone might kill me.

"Now. I believe it's time for you to uphold your end of the bargain." Luna states.

"Yes, follow me." I say and they follow me into the forest, where they will find the artifacts that will bring them much happiness and pain. As we make our way to the cave the sisters seem on edge. They must not be used to being in the forest outside of foraging for food and water. Anything you find in the forest isn’t tainted by Discord's magic so it would be safer get their resources here.

“Are you two alright?” I ask trying to calm them down.

“This place is home to some of the most dangerous creatures in the world. Besides Discord of course. Why wouldn’t we be on edge?” Celestia asks rather rudely.

“Well considering your more dangerous than anything here I'd say you're just being ridiculous.” I say.

“What do you mean? Sure we are alicorns but we aren’t invincible.” Luna says after she jumps at the sound of a twig snapping somewhere in the shrubbery.

“True, but neither are the creatures of the forest. I have lived here for years and so far I have been able to take down everything that’s threatened me, even some of the dragons here know not to mess with me.” I say. I sense several concentrated sources of magic and nature energy approaching us, timberwolves. I stop and gather nature energy to activate basic sage mode. As they jump from their hiding spots they ignore me and growl at the sisters.

“Timberwolves!” Luna shouts as they ready themselves for combat. I walk up to the nearest Timberwolf and smile. He looks to me questioningly.

“Why have you brought these outsiders here? They disturb the forest!” He says to me.

“Human get away from it! Timberwolves are extremely dangerous!” Celestia shouts.

“I have a name you know. And these are my friends. Do not worry. As long as you stay with me they will not harm you.” I say trying to calm them.

“What? You honestly think that these animals are your friends?” Luna asks looking at me as if I had grown a second head.

“Birch can you please call off the pack? I promise they will not disturb the forest anymore then they need to while they're with me." I ask the alpha of the pack.

“Very well, but do not make me regret this Aries.” The timberwolf says to me as he and his pack slowly retreat back into the trees.

“You are a strange one you know that?” Celestia asks.

“Yes.” I simply respond

“What is your name by the way?” Luna asks as we trudge through the forest.

“Finally some manners!” I say.

“Hay! We have manners!” Celestia says insulted.

“Do you now? Then why don’t you ever use them?” I ask making them frown. “Up until now you have not shown one bit of manners. Luna just barely has by asking my name.” Celestia tries to retort but ends up looking like a fish out of water. “And for your information my name is Aries..” I answer Luna's question.

“Well then Aries it is, nice to meet you.” Luna says politely.

“Likewise.” Celestia says curtly.

“Well here we are.” I say as we get to the edge of the cliff that has the elements cave in the side of it, though they can’t see it yet.

“Where? There is nothing here but a gorge!” Luna shouts.

“I knew we shouldn’t have trusted you!” Celestia says as she readies her magic.

“You know you could try looking in the cave beneath us before jumping to conclusions.” I deadpan.

“Oh… Well let's have a look shall we?” She says as she stops her magic and a slight blush appeared on her cheeks. We make our way down the path on the side of the cliff and find the cave. As we make our way inside the sisters notice my living arrangements. It’s not much considering I only ever use a bed made from leave in a wooden bowl made with wood style.

“Is this where you live?” Celestia asks

“Yup, home sweet home.” I say happily.

“You mean you have had to live in a cave with just a pile of leaves to sleep on?” Celestia asks her voice taking a somewhat depressed tone.

“Yea, it’s not much but it’s home.” I say a little weirded out by this change in attitude. “Anyway here is the tree of Harmony” I say. They gasp at the sight of it

“The Tree of Harmony!” Luna says in awe.

“Yes , it’s quite impressive isn’t it?” I say walking up to the tree. “Alright, take them, they will bond to you once you do.” I say.

“And why have you not done so then?” Celestia asks.

“Several reasons, they work better with more users, up to six at a time, but will not work for a single person, not to mention I have no magic for them to bond to.” I say. How do I know this you ask? I don't really just theories, but they make sense for the most part right? Besides it's not like they would know if it's true or not, and I'm technically not lying right? Right?

“What?! No that’s impossible, everything has at least some magic!” Luna says.

“Well I don’t, yet. I am not from this universe, so I do not have its energies inside me nor do I have the capability to gain it.” I say. “Now then take the elements and let's go take down Discord.” I say.

“No.” Celestia says. “It’s too dangerous for you. You may be strong but Discord is far stronger than any of us. Stay here while we handle him.” She says “We will come back for you afterwards, you can live with us once we defeat discord. We owe you that much.” I'm not to happy with letting them face discord at the moment but she's half right. It’s too dangerous for me to be there, if he sees me he won't give them a chance to use the elements on him.

“Alright, but I'Il hold you to that promise.” I say not leading on to my real reason for not going.

“Stay safe until our return.” Luna says as they exit the cave.

just an fyi to my readers of this fic, it's being rewritten from the beginning. the first chapter didn't need much change save for some minor edits, second chapter and so forth is getting major edits and changes. my character was a bit to op to soon, so I am nurfing him just a wee bit and fixing some plot holes and embarrassingly stupid wording on my part. also, i'm starting an idea pool for if any readers that are interested, my other stories have had some great chapters based on the ideas suggested to me, so if your interested i'll have a blog up later today labeled "Idea pool" for anyone interested.
