My Little Pony: Dawn of the Zebrasus
Chapter 1: A colt is born...
It was a fine late summers day in shoefield, the birds were singing and the trees rustled in the wind, the fracas of nights passing and the birth of another beautiful foal echoed throughout shoefield, but this one was different, this was a foal that had never been heard of before...
With the wings of a Pegasus pony, but the stripes of an earthen zebra, this was the dawn of a new race of pony, a race that was proudly crowned... The Zebrasus.
Born from the womb of a technological Pegasus of cloudsdale and the seed of a mighty motor-fixing earthen zebra native to shoefield, "Audi-0 Jack" was the first of his kind and to this day said to be born with a joy pad and headphones in hand.
In his youngest of years he was a bashful and eager hybrid-pony, hammering away at keypads, keyboards and anything else with a button on it, mashing them with his dainty foal hooves.
after his 3rd year in life he began attending pony pre-school where he was often pestered, poked and prodded by other ponies about his existence.
as the young colt sat alone by the building blocks many a filly looked by and then just as quickly turned away as they gained his attention, one had the audacious courage to break away from the herd and approach him.
the first pony to speak to him other than his parents was a stocky and grey with a white mane, "uhh.. he-hello" said the silver pony to Audi-0, "my name is snow bell, whats your name???" Audi-0's almost robotic neon blue gaze fixated on the fillies moon white hair and he panicked, "i... i'm.. uh.. {murmurs his name inaudibly}" spoke Audi-0 frightened by the pretty young filly stood before him, "sorry I didn't quite catch that" the cautious filly stepped closer wary of the frightened hybrid. "please don't be scared..." snow bell carefully asked her pending hybrid friend, within a mater of seconds Audi-0 Jack had imprisoned himself in a window-less and door-less crate made of building blocks.
the constant questioning of why he was different scared him, "why do you have blue stripes on your body?" "are you sick?" "why aren't you at cloudsdale academy".
all these questions and more drove him to feel an outcast among his half brethren, his mind swirled with images and voices of rejection and mockery nightly, his Pre-school teachers saw his fear and stepped in with a drastic move, while napping up on the building block floor of the nursery the teachers lugged him down into a large group of fillies, as he woke early in comparison to his more or less incapacitated peers he became wary of his environmental change and began to shudder, then all of a sudden a voice broke through the silence like a hoof opening a door, "youw cant shweep iethew?" burbled the young and verbally impeded colt. "EEP! who are u?" squeaked the startled Zebrasus "oh... my name is biwwy cwub I'm showta new" billy club introduced himself unafraid of the hybrid pony that laid before him wrapped in the azure blue blanket "A-Audi-0 Jack... it's... it's nice to meet you billy club... whats with your voice though, you replace the L's and R's with W's..." Audi-0 Jack boldly pointed out to his new companion, "I have a speech impediment which makes me wepwace my L's and R's with W's, I don't like it because peopwle tell me to speak properly or say they don't undewstand me..." billy club said to Audi-0 with great disdain and sorrow in his voice, days passed and Audi-0's friendship group grew and grew bringing billy club up with him.
Years passed and in time he grew to respect and share in activities with his peers, but alas the happiness was short lived.
while Audi-0 grew tall and strong into a sturdy young colt, his wings were yet to bloom into their true state, he had discovered from the doctors he had suffered from stunted wing syndrome during birth, this would mean his wings would never grow to their true state.
This terrible news along with his blank flank drove Audi-0 back to his empty self, former friends shunning him as they gained their cutie marks, accepted by their other marked comrades, fillies and colts then began calling him names, one which spread like a virus, resulting in a drastic intervention known by the shoefield department of equestrian education and wellbeing as the "shrinky dinky blank-flank crisis".
Week upon week passed as Audi-0 remained unmarked by his hidden talent, but then one day during the weekend, his mark finally shone through the darkness of uncertainty, as he flew through the final level of P-Type: Colta, firing in rhythm to the boss battle music, the final strike was landed as his flank glowed, a pair of headphones then emblazoned themselves with lightning bolts rising from the cable's pin, and as quickly and as brightly as his mark revealed itself, his face beamed as brightly as a Cheshire cat.
The week proceeding he stomped into class strutting with his cutie mark, "Hey blank-flank, ready to put your blank backside in your seat with... your... blank..." the smug grin on the pompous unicorn girl's face was swept away like dust on the wind as his cutie mark glistened like a topaz and jet encrusted broach upon his hindquarters "not a blank-flank any more jewlia... i might have stunted wings, but you still can't do magic, good luck with the hood ornament. HAH!" her swagger, shattered by the hammer of Audi-0's pride was soon followed by her peers accompanied by Audi-0's old friend billy club, now marked with a police riot club on his hind quarters and well enunciated, the wisp in his voice gone he question and probed his marked com-padre "when did it happen? how did it feel? what does it mean buddy?" billy club exclaimed, simply ecstatic at the fact that Audi-0 had found his talent.
the fillies were astounded by it, the colts burning with pride for their new found brethren.
It was...
For this one and only Zebrasus...
The best day of his life...
