"Hello Sunset, it has been some time since i have seen your eyes." Twilight said as she calmly made her way towards Sunset. Shimmer could hardly think the closer Twilight got. She had no idea what was coming over her. Twilight had this sudden allure that Sunset had never seen before.
"H-hello p-princess." Sunset said in a voice full of both confusion and purr. Celestia was immediately aware of what Sunset was feeling. Celestia had a change in expression now. There was actually a look of anger and evil in the eyes of the pearly white princess. She quickly rid her face of the expression as to not make the situation awkward. Luckily Twilight nor Sunset noticed her expression.
"Despite our last experience it is such a pleasure to see you again. I hope that we can accomplish exactly what it is you wish to succeed here back in equestria. Though may i ask, why exactly did you return?" Twilight said as she shuffled her own wings in a manor that made Sunsets skin crawl.
"T-thats a really long story P-princess." sunset said in a shy tone. " I think that story is best saved for a later time. Sunset was stopped in her sentence when she could have sworn she saw a familiar red mist move behind Twilight. She was going to say something but her mind wandered to what she had seen. Celestia seemed unaware of the object that was looming behind Twilight. The mist was forming strongly behind her, she was beginning to wonder if what she was seeing was a pigment of her mind or if it was real. She figured the object to be false because Celestia and Twilight were not reacting to it. The mist disappeared quickly once sunset could swear she saw a face inside of it. She shook her head and started listening to Twilight who she had zoned away from.
"So Sunset if you would come with me so cans how you around, that would be wonderful." Twilight said as she shuffled her wings in a way that once again sent shivers down Sunsets spine. The wings not only made Twilight more attractive to Sunset but it also made sunset slightly envious of her. Twilight freely walked around with the wings of royalty that Sunset once desperately strive to have as well. "also don't worry i will make sure you meet my friends when the time is right. the last thing you need is a pinkie pie causing you a headache." she giggles. "she is such a loud and wonderful friend none the less."
"Whatever you think is best P-princess." Sunset said as she continues to stutter from the looks she saw on Twilight. Sunset never knew she had attractions to mares because when she was in equestria in the beginning nothing mattered. All she cared about was studying. She never paid attention to other which never allowed her to feel. Twilight led her to many places her first day being in Equestria. She was finally able to head to the second place presented to her. The bed room of which she would be sleeping. The crystal Empire was a very beautiful place. Her room was very colorful, This made her feel very welcomed. The only thing Plaguing her mind now was the small fact that she feared if she closed her eyes the dreams would still await her. She crawled into bed none the less, her cyan eyes gazing up at the ceiling as she was trying to fall asleep. She didn't feel alone, she felt as if somepony else was looming in the room with her. This made Sunset very uncomfortable. She took a deep breath to try and ignore the feeling. Eventually she was drifting off into sleep. where a dream awaited her, on the other hand this dream was not exactly the same as the first one.
The world around her was full of flame. Sunset looked around to try and see an exit to the flame that was surrounding her. All she could see was flame, nothing but fire everywhere she looked. As she walked to try and find some way out she found that the fire seemed to be moving with her. Almost as if the flame was attracted to her. She turned to her right to be face to face with another pony. This pony had the darkest of eyes. The whites were black and there were cyan halos for irises. susnet fell abckwards upon seeing this pony. The pony stepped out of the flame and spread a pair of really large wings. The wings were not feather they were ripped and torn demonic wings. Very bat like, yet they had a kind of beauty to them.
"Hello, Sunset shimmer." The mares voice was very raspy and weak. The red colored mare was wearing a black dress and her mane seemed to be done and made up. I was in a amne style that was wet looking. She ahd the same colors in her mane as Sunset did. She ahd a green eyeliner on her eyes as if she was headed somewhere important. She ahd a kind of sarrow in her eyes. Sunset knew she was dreaming she had never seen a pony that looked this way.
"Ummmmmmmm h-hello?" Sunset said in a stuttering voice. She kept looking at the fetures of this pony. She was a beautiful mare but she also looked very agressive.
"It's been a very long time since we last met." The red pony exclaimed as she kept her darkened and sorrowful eyes on Sunset. "I should probably introduce myself. My name is Empress, Empress of flame. You may know me as the red mist from your nightmares." The flame around them was still burning. Surprisingly enough this dream seemed to be much calmer than the ones Sunset had been having before.
"your the red mist, i could have sworn i saw you t-today?" sunset said as she now felt uneasy. She always sensed great evil from the mist in her dreams.
"Yes i know you did, I'm getting closer Sunset. We are closer to getting what is ours. The power. The wings, The crown." upon saying the word crown the mares eyes had flashed in a bright opal color. A very familiar element of harmony had teleported ontop of her head. "We were so close lastt ime, you and me." Empress exclaimed as she flapped her demonice wings amkingher full and true form more relevant. The mane was now flickering in a candle shape as Empress stood there. Sunset recognized her now. She was looking at herself. This was the demonic form she had taken at the fall formal. She ahdn't recognized it as a pony. It had become apparent that her subconscious was still punishing her for her actions.
"I want to wake up~!" sunset yelled out as she had become very frightened by empress. The world around her shifted and Empress was gone. Sunset was very frightened as she could hear distant screams. She looked to her right to see Equestria floating in the sky. Sunset felt weightless almost as if she was in space. She could tell the world was burning. The flame very visible as it practically engulfed the planet. Sunset tried to get to it but was cut off when she saw the human form of the Demonic form reach out and grab the planet like an apple.
"hmmmmmm, this apple seems rotten." She rubbed a finger across the surface of the planet causing a fiery crack to appear on its surface. Empress pressed the planet to her lip her fangs sinking in and taking a bite. The molten core leaked out onto he demons lips and down its throat. she swallowed the bite and tossed it aside. "Like i said nothing but a rotten apple." She began to laugh demoniacally. The laugh echoing everywhere to the point that.
Sunset sat up in her bed nearly screaming as she felt she was on fire again. The moment she sat up a wave of dark magic came from her body. Red crystalline structures about an inch long each grew all over the walls of her room as a result. She was breathing very heavily. Her eyes were glowing a very bright cyan as the whites of her eyes were now a very dark shade of jade. She let out a scream that had the sound of not one voice but two. Fang began to grow in her mouth as she yelled out for help. She felt as if something was trying to break through her. Twilight and Celestia were outside the room trying to get in but the door was locked.
"sunset whats going on, hello~!?" Twilight yelled out trying to get the door open. Her horn began to glow but it quickly sputtered out useless as she saw the red crystals lining the surface of the door. These entities were preventing her from using her magic. Celestia had seen this kind of magic once before so she knew the way around it. Celestia used her much more powerful magic to clear the door of the magical crystal. She nearly collapsed from exhaustion using this spell. Twilight did not notice this and instead broke through the door to help Sunset who was now crying on her bed. All remembrance of fangs and differentiated eyes were gone. The crystalline structures on the walls had vanished along with those features.

The truth hurts
"Nightmares you say?" Luna said as she paced back and fourth listening to Sunset shimmer explain what was happening to her. "you say last night you feel that an entity in your dream tried to take control of you in the physical world?"
"Yes Luna i felt something trying to tear out of me... I was in so much pain... I couldn't fight it." sunset responded as she had felt slightly embarrassed coming fourth with her nightmares.
"this is actually a common thing. Dreams and nightmares can sometimes become so realistic you feel like they are. I think tonight i will enter your nightmare to see what kind you are experiencing. I have dealt with Lucid dreams before." Luna said as she looked at the small unicorn whom had come to her for help. "Sunset shimmer have you spoken to my sister yet... About these dreams?"
"I haven't spoken to your sister since my return... I see she still doubts me. Her eyes can't hide her feelings. Do you think i will fail Luna?" sunset said as she tilted her head in curiosity.
"I have no reason to dislike you. I was on the moon when you were my sisters student. I believe you are willing to change whatever wrongs you have committed, Just remember don't let anything ditur you from it... I have done my fair share of mending." Lua gave a soft smile as she replied to the young mare. Luna was definitely the one to talk to. She wasn't perfect either. After all she had in the past rid the world of it's days attempting to make an eternal night.
"thank you Princess i will be off now." sunset bowed slightly to the princess of the lulay moon night. She didn't want to waste anymore of her time. sunset walked down the candle lit hallway back to her room. Sunset was unaware that every candle flame was slightly pointing at her as she walked. every flame nearby was attracted to point at her like she was a thermal magnet. sunset as about to make it to her room when she ran right into twilight. they both fell to the ground. sunsets mane was now really roughed up and hanging in front of her eyes. She looked to see who she was on top of. She looked to see the violet eyes of Twilight Sparkle. A surge of all kinds of emotion shot through Sunset.
"nice to see you Sunset." Twilight giggled softly as she looked right into the cyan eyes of Sunset shimmer. Shimmer was breathing very heated breaths and she was feeling all kinds of sexual and embarrassment tensions right now. She was practical frozen onto of Twilight. Her soft body against hers was enough to make her unable to move.
"H-hello p-princess." sunset stuttered. "what a weird position we have found ourselves in here." she gulped as she finished speaking.
"Yeah i must say we found ourselves in quiet a awkward... n-nice....ummmm." twilight seemed nervous herself. This threw Sunset off her mindset and caused her to become more attracted to her. She felt a little more at ease now that she knew the princess was also flustered. They were both there on the crystal floor with blushes spread on their cheeks. Sunset thought she should get off, yet Twilight wasn't asking her to. They were just frozen in place on the crystal floor. Twilight was about to speak when Sunset lost it. She had locked her amber lips with twilights mulberry colored lips. Twilight slowly closed her eyes and her ears pinned back. Sunset purred deeply as her ears were also pinned back. as their eyes were closed sunsets mane was waving in some portions. Parts of her hair was acting like fire. Once twilights eyes opened the motions stopped but the kiss was still heavy. Sunset slowly pulled away. She felt like a literal elephant had just got off her chest. That was not the end to what would soon lead to a dramatic decline. Before sunset knew it she was making out with Twilight in her bed in her room. Both of their horns were glowing but producing no spells. This was happening this was literally happening right now. Sunset was doing this with the princess of Friendship. She was lost in her own pleasuring thoughts. Only to make the future worse, they didn't stop at a make out. Both mares were getting deep into this. In both literal and metaphorical terms. This had become a full on sexual interaction. Sunset shimmer doing anything two mares could do together. Twilight was doing the same, without mention that she herself was hiding a dirty secret. Twilight was no element of honesty and she was going to find that her lack of current honesty was going to degrade the mind of the one loving her right now. sunset didn't know any better. She figured that Twilight was single, the terrible fact was that she wasn't.
After this sunset fell asleep with Twilight still next to her, She quickly drifted into REM sleep and before she knew it. she was dreaming.
Sunset was once again in a world of darkness. there was something immediately different this time. Luna was there with her.
"sunset Shimmer, this is your dream?" Luna said in a very confused tone of voice. She was mostly confused as to why this dream felt so real.
"No this sin't my dream, not yet, she isn't here yet." sunset said now that she knew her demonic form from the fall formal was the doing of her subconscious punishing her. Or so thats what she thought.
"could you name the entity that you see in your dream?" Luna said as she seemed to be looking for something. Luna was also hiding something from sunset. Something so crucial that it could change everything. She knew there was more going on here than a lucid dream.
"she called herself..." sunset paused, she could remember the name. She had only heard it once. "I c-can't seem to remember?" sunset said as her head began to heat up as she tried to conjure up the memory of the name. She closed her eyes and flames started to form in areas of the darkness. Luna took notice to this quickly. The dream was responding to Sunset Shimmers thoughts. Luna walked up to the fire and used her horn to make the entity of the dream disappear. Upon making the flame disappear, Empress appeared behind the lulay moon Princess.
"Oh lulay moon princess." empress said in a still raspy and weak voice. "I would appreciate it if you left. " Luna responded by turning around to face this entity.
"Her name is Empress of flame.." sunset said opening her eyes as she ahd remembered the name. She looked towards luna. Her ears pinned back when she saw empress again. Empress was as tall as Celestia so Luna was shorter than Empress.
"so you are the entity that...wait... i know that face" Luna said before the surrounding area turned into a part of caterlot castle. Empress spread her wings and flew right into Luna's chest pushing her up against the wall. Luna's horn was glowing bright trying to make a dream entity disappear. Empress wasn't disappearing. She was not part of this dream. she was a physical being stuck inside Sunset.
"get out of my world." Empress said as she repeatedly tried to bite lunas neck. Luna wasn't having it. She used her back legs to kick Empress away. Her horn immediately shot magic at the entity. this energy sent Empress flying into a glass window which slightly cracked from the pressure. Luna tried using magic to wake up Sunset but for some reason something was overpowering her in a field of magic she was the master of.
"Sunset you have to wake up if you don't.." Luna was interrupted when Empress shot two balls of fire magic into her side. Luna groaned as she lay on the ground. She slowly got up and started to use magic against Empress. Luna shot a beam of blue energy that was powerful enough hat when it cut through the air molecules it created a sound of a razor. The beam hit a magical shield that was surrounding Empress. The shield cracked slightly as Empress let out a manacle laugh. sunset was trying to find some way to wake up. she was frantically looking around for something. She looked over at the cracked window. she had to suggest the were on the cliff side of the castle. If she jumped she would wake up. Sunset made a mad dash for the exit. Empress saw her tying to escape from her corner eye vision. She had to stop her. Empress flapped her wings sending out a wave of energy that made Luna trip up. Her magic beam now hit the window Sunset was heading for. this made it much easier for sunset. Empress spiraled in mid air as she headed for sunset. Her mouth open and fangs showing she was inches from catching her when sunset jumped. The feeling of falling was terrifying enough but to have an evil entity swooping down for you. That was a new story. The fall was much longer in this dream world then it was in reality. Luna folded her wings as she jumped out the window after Empress whom was after Sunset still. She had reached her peek in speed with her wings not open. She let out a yell as she landed on the back of the larger empress.
"Get off me you excuse for a princess." empress said as she yelped from Luna's impact. Red armor formed on Empress as she turned her attention toward Luna. Luna used her dream magic to form a opal and laps lasso like armor.
"you will not win, leave sunset alone." Luna said as she used her magic to form a fighting weapon. she used her levitation magic to hold the scythe. Empress copied her with a much bigger scythe. the both swung at each other the moment sunset hit the ground. this thrust her into consciousness.
Sunset looked around to see Twilight had left. She was breathing heavily once again and she feared that maybe she would feel the pain again. The last thing she wanted was to feel that. It was so painful the first time. sunset rolled slowly out of her bed. Her vision was getting very blurry as she was going to pass out if she didn't escape this room. It was so hot, the last thing she wanted would be to fall asleep again. Lunas suddenly opened the door and drug her out of the room.
"Sunset stay with me, don't fall asleep." Luna said as she looked her in the eyes to make sure she would not wander into unconsciousness. "That thing was not part of your dream." Luna said as she got her in a colder room. the single candle flame in the room pointed at sunset as she was drug by. "Whatever it is it wants you to fall asleep so it can be you." Luna said in a very worried voice. "It was weak but it still managed to overpower me, i don't want to know that thing at it's full power."
"She wants t-to be me?" sunset said in a very weak voice herself. "I don't understand i thought s-she was my subconscious?" Sunset coughed and tried to stay awake.
"She is far more than just a mind entity. She is a living thing trapped inside you. Some kind of cursed entity. I felt so much life, at the same time..so much death." Luna said as she made a cold wet rag appear. she started to wash off her forehead with it. "You need to stay away from sleep until i figure out what to do, i will have to inform Twilight and Celestia about this... You just can't visit with twilight in ponyville in your condition."
"n-no i want to go, you can't take tomorrow away from me." sunset said as she groaned. "I need to meet her friends tomorrow, can you hold off the news until tomorrow?" sunset asked in an act of desperation, she would never understand true friendship without tomorrow.
"sunset it's very urgent that they know.. if we stall we could risk you.." Luna said in yet another concerning voice. She then took a deep breath and realized that if Sunset wanted it.. she should just wait. "Ok... i will wait till after you ponyville meeting to break the news to them."

Empress of flame (year one edition)
Sunset was on a train that was headed for disaster. She felt she had to come with Twilight today; the only problem is that she was weak from the other night. Luna had fought for her and clearly warned her that today was a bad idea. Sunset had unfortunately managed to set up her downfall. Luna was holding off the news about Empress until tomorrow. Right now all that mattered to Sunset was the mare sitting beside her. Twilight sparkle was looking rather nice today.
“I hope you’re excited to meet my Friends Sunset. I know they are going to love you.” Twilight said in a nervous voice. She still hadn’t told her that she wasn’t single when the two of them had done what they had done.
“Of course I am excited to meet them; I can’t wait to see them… I sure hope they like me”
“Of course we are going to like you, Twilight invited us on the train to surprise you duhhhhh~!” Pinkie pie said as she poked her head up from behind Sunset. Twilight rolled her eyes and let her head drop down slightly.
“So much for surprise Pinkie~!” Twilight said loudly with an almost immediate giggle after words. “You’re so silly pinkie~!” Sunset was very quiet knowing her friends were actually all here.
“Now you want to tell me why you haven’t brought flashy along… he owes me a pastry after I let him have one for free.” Pinkie said as she now sat between the two mares. Before Sunset could ask who flashy was Rainbow spoke out from in front of them.
“Probably… because she wanted us to be here for Sunset, not flash.” Rainbow said as her raspberry eyes shifted over toward Sunset… “So you’re the infamous Sunset Shimmer huh?” She flapped her light blue wings as she gave her a smile.
“I think your all overwhelming her…” Fluttershy whispered nearby so it was so hard to tell exactly where she was.
“Who is Flashy?” Sunset finally managed to say. Twilight immediately motioned for her friends to not answer that one… Unfortunately the gabby gums of Pinkie pie rang out the answer.
“Well you see Flashy is Twilights stallion…her lover kind of thing?” Pinkie said with a large smile. The words entered Sunsets ears and almost immediately the heartbreak became visible. Her brain went numb as tears filled her eyes. The mane six stared at her almost unable to speak. If they could see the inside of her they would have been able to see the hurt pinkie had just brought upon her. She started to sob slightly as she looked towards Twilight. The whites of Sunsets eyes turning a black color. Once fully white the breaks of the train locked suddenly, a screeching sound heard as she shook her head at twilight.
“You lied to me~!” Sunset jumped out of her seat and tried to get away from Twilight. Several hundred ponies were on this train. Sunset was having trouble getting through everypony. Her hurt growing ever stronger. Twilight and her friends ran after her. Twilight keeping quiet as to why this was happening, she felt so horrible, she should have told her earlier. Sunset couldn’t run anymore her limps aching from her internal pain. She closed her eyes as she felt a voice talking to her in her head. Sunset stumbled into one of the bathrooms; her loss of breath was excruciatingly painful. She let out a scream; her yell was heard throughout the whole train. Her scream caused the bathroom door to lock. The handle glowing red hot, as red crystalline structures started to grow on its surface. Sunset was desperately trying to breath but no matter how hard she tried she felt like a hand was around her neck. She looked in the mirror to see the demon form was visible. It picked her up by the throat and smiled.
“Your mine now, soon this pain will fade.” Empress had a tear in her eye. “She hurt us both today.” Empress opened her mouth to allow black mist to transfer from her mouth into Sunset through her nose and mouth. Twilight and Rainbow were banging on the door to try and get it open. The full metal door eventually turned a bright orange making it too dangerous to touch. Sunset let out another scream as she started to change form physically. Her legs first became longer and her snout more slender and long. Her ears grew longer as well. She was in loads of pain as of right now. Her heartbreak only feeling worse as the transformation continued. Sunset felt there was only one way to make this less painful.
“Just take me Empress~!” She yelled out as she was then engulfed in a bright Cyan light. The large shaft of light filled the whole bathroom and shot a hole through the roof. A wave of energy was shot across Equestria. Both Luna and Celestia were shaking from the feeling. Luna feared deep down that the energy came from Sunset. The light stopped and everything in the bathroom became silent. The bathroom door was steaming as it cooled down. Twilight slowly using her hoof to open the door.
“Sunset shimmer are you… in there?” Twilight tilted her head trying to see in the smoke filled compartment. Rainbow Dash started to back away when she saw demonic wings spread. A ponies muzzle began to poke out of the dark smoke. A pair of cyan halos peered out of the smoke. They looked right at Twilight and a growl was heard. The demonic wings flapped and sent Empress flying out back hooves first. The back legs slammed into twilight making her smack the metal wall of the train. Empress stomped a hoof and the train’s engine sprung to life.
“Sunset isn’t here anymore, you have yourself to blame for that~!” Empress yelled out and the train started to move forward from her magic. Rainbow couldn’t stand to see a friend hurt. She took flight inside the small cabin trailer of the train and went to slam into the demonic entity. Empress was much more ready than she appeared. Her right wings flapped causing a low altitude barrel roll affect. She rolled over Rainbow dash to elude her. Rainbow missed and slammed her head against a wall.
“Stay away from Twi now, ya don’t wanna be messin with me.” Applejack said as she shakily stood between Empress and an unconscious Twilight Sparkle. Empress looked very unfazed now as she stood back up.
“Alright fine… you win” Empress gave a grin. “For, about, ten seconds~!” Empress’s horn began to glow and the whole train started to tilt of the tracks. The train had been crossing a bridge over part of a canyon the train didn’t take long to fall right off. The feeling of falling in a train slammed Applejack against the ceiling while Empress walked like normal right for Twilight. Rainbow dash felt like everything was moving in slow motion. She knew she had a short distance to do this but she had no choice. She took a deep breath allowing her chest to puff up visibly. Her wings kicked into high gear, almost immediately a sonic rainboom was created as she took flight. The explosion from her flight ripped the train right in half. Shard flying everywhere as the train began to flip wildly. Rainbow plowed right into the side of Empress… The speed of sound was hard to slow down so the both of them were far from the train before Rainbow could slow up. Rainbow looked back to see a sight she never thought she would see. Discord himself was using his magic now to bring the fall of the train to a halt. His cause magic was unstable when he teleported things and he wanted to get everypony up safely so he struggled to levitate it at an appropriate speed. Empress had finally realized what had happened and grabbed hold of Rainbows neck using her fang filled mouth. Rainbow let out a scream of pain as she went limp and unconscious. She was tossed down the gorge and landed hard on a rock surface. She bounced on impact and a crack was heard from her ribs as Empress let out a laugh. She looked at the train and knew she couldn’t do anything now that Discord was there. She wasn’t strong enough yet to fight him.
“Is everypony alright?” Discord said as he set both half’s on the tracks again. Twilight and her friends that were still on the train were in a lot of pain but ok.
“Discord we need your help Twilight is pinned down.” Apple jack said as she sat by twilight who was groaning and rather delirious.
“What happened what did I miss?” She held a hoof to her own head. She had a small cut on there and was going through shock. Discord quickly made it over and lifted the object off of Twilight. He looked around and seemed concerned.
“Where is Rainbow, why is she not here?” discord said as he held an eagle talon on Twilight her wounds healing. He looked at Applejack as if expecting her to know. He received no response which let him know that nopony would be able to tell him. That was when he heard a scream he would never forget. Fluttershy out of all ponies started screaming at the top of her lunges.
“Rainbow~!, Rainbow~! Rainbow~!” she kept screaming. The rest of the mane six and Discord all rushed for her to see what she was screaming for. All their hearts sank when they saw her on the bottom of the canyon. Twilight reached out screaming now as well. Discord began his climb down. He was aggressively climbing down as tears where filling his eyes. He feared the worst. Rainbows friends were screaming for her hoping she was alright. The watched as Discord reached her picking her up. He was climbing so very carefully. Once he reached the top Rainbows friends couldn’t bear what happened. Discord the master of chaos fell to his knees holing the limp mare close in a hug as he cried out. Tears streaming down the draconaquss’s face. He slammed his fist against the ground in anger. He laid her on the ground, her eyes hazed over… Rainbow dash was dead. Twilight and apple jack let a cry of a scream. Twilight was trying to get to her friend but was held back by Applejack who was breaking down in tears herself. Discord pressed a glowing hand against his dead friends chest. He kept trying over and over again to use his magic to bring her back. Everytime he tried he failed making his heart ache more.
“Rainbow, no wake up~!,” Discord cried out as he slumped over her hugging her dead body. “Rainbow please… Y-your my f-friend. P-please.” He cried as memories of Rainbowdash began to play in his head. All the wonderful times of being called dipcord, All the laughs and fun they had together. “Rainbow please no… I can’t fix you please do-don’t g-go~!” He dug his talons into the hard surface below him as he and his other friend were nearby grieving the loss of her friend. Rainbow was more than a label of honesty… She was a friend… a sister. Maybe someponies crush or role model. She had a family who loved her. A family who could never see the lively spark in her eyes again, the strong mare who would always put her friends first found that being the end. Discord couldn’t let go of her limp body. His tears soaked her fur as he cried. “R-rainbow… you were…my friend. I will never forget that. I used to wonder what friendship could be… but you... you helped me know...you helped...me. Rainbow dash I loved you like a sister I never had. We shared secret and t-told stories… Rainbow I just wish… I just…” Discord ears pinned back as his magic was weakening by his sadness. “I couldn’t save you!” he wiped his tears. “You will always be faithful and strong my dear.” He tried smiling but couldn’t

Empress of flame (year one edition)
“Did she feel any pain?” Twilight asked the medical professional as he dead friend lay on a silver table. Discord was angrily in the morticians room himself.
“Princess, are you sure you want to hear this? I can’t ensure that you will be happy with this. The doc looked at Twilight with sorrow in his eyes. Twilight nodded her head in reply. The doc lowered his head and was ready to announce Rainbows final moments. “Rainbow dash unfortunately suffered terribly. For the fifteen minutes it took Discord and everybody to realize where she was she had laid there on the bottom of the canyon unable to breath. Her lunges were punctured by her own ribs. The fall had broken the lower portion of her spine so the only places she didn’t feel anything was from the waist down.” The doctor really wished he could have expressed a happier ending but sadly Rainbow dash went out hard. Discord grew more and angrier as he sat there.
“What the hell happened Twilight, what caused that train wreck~!” Discord stood up angrily as he used his lions paw to tip over a nearby table. “I want to know~!” discord was so infuriated. He knew she wasn’t going to tell him. He let out a roar as he scratches the air opening a rift to view the past. He watches to see a demonic pony throw Rainbow to death. “That pony is mine, she is going down.” Discord said angrily as he then zoomed up on Rainbow dash whom was lying on the hard ground.
“Don’t worry my friends. Y-your safe n-now” Rainbow said as she groaned laying there on the hard ground. This part of the past brought tears to his eyes immediately, Rainbows eyes watched and reflected where empress flew off to. “I’m sorry Twilight” she coughed again. “y-you’re going to be s-safe now… y- you’re with discord by now…. Y-you’re s-safe.” Discord closed the rift and looked at Twilight.
“You want to explain to me why that Demon possessed Sunset Shimmers cutie mark?” Discord said as he looked at Rainbow on the chrome table. “I will find this pony and I will take this into my own hands.”
“Do you think that’s what Rainbow would have wanted~!” Twilight yelled back at him.
“She gave her life for you princess butt and all you’re going to do is sit here and grieve? We should be trying to stop that thing before it hurts anyone else~!” Upon his words Luna and Celestia burst into the room.
“She’s headed for the crystal Empire… She is headed for cadence~!” Luna yelled out. She saw Rainbow on the table and nearly collapsed crying now. “N-no it can’t be.” She said in near disbelief.
Guards stood at the entrance of the Crystal palace.
“Hey opal shield… Do you think my helmet is too big? We got that new armor order so I don’t know if mine exactly fits?”
“I wouldn’t be too worried about it. It’s just armor. Not like you’re ever going to have to use it.” The other guard rolled his eyes. “Wait, wait what’s that?” He said pointing at a trail of smoke above them. Empress was now flying over the crystal palace. Her Cyan eyes glowing making every guard more visible to her. She could even see the ones behind walls or underground in the ruins. She saw her point of entrance. Two smaller guards stood at the front door. They would be very easy to take out. She closed her wings and tilted her body down in a swoop of an action. She landed only teen feet in front of the guard. Before they could even speak they were a pile of ash at the doorstep. Several guards were alerted by Celestia’s letter to guard and hold back anything from getting past the front door. Once the front door swung open several of them pointed their weapons at the mare that had entered. Empress looked at all the spears and sword pointed at her.
“Attention dear Crystal guards~!” she said rather loudly. “You have thirty seconds to clear out this hall~!” she watched insanely as not a single guard took her seriously. “Fine, I understand you have your orders and your laws. I would have disobeyed them for once.” Empress reared up on her hind legs before slamming her front hooves back down. A wave of red energy was sent out turning all the guards in the main hall into hard burnt stone. She flapped her wings and they all turned to nothing but ash. All guards but one was dead.
“Celestia warned me that you would be coming. Stay away from my wife.” Six more guards came in to back up shining armor. Empresses cyan halo like eyes watched the guards.
“You guards and your valiant efforts, I must say your astonishing ability to continue fighting when you know you stand little to no chance intrigues me. Really it does, there is on the otherhoof something that is bothering me.” Empress let her wings cling to her own sides. “Can you stand a chance against each other?” Her irises started to swirl as cyan halos went around the heads of shinning’s back up guards. Their eyes were now glowing like hers as one immediately thrust a spear at Shinning. Shinning was well trained so he quickly reacted by using the hard part of his hoof to knock the weapon away. Another guard quickly used there spear handle to put Shinning in a choke hold while another started kicking him in the gut. Shinning was getting his ass kicked. He needed some kind of motivator. Despite the pain he closed his eyes and thought about cadence and the coming baby. Shinning opened his eyes and flipped the one who had him in a chokehold. He kicked him in the throat causing the spear to fly up in the air. Shinning used his rear hoof to kick the spear into the other ones chest. The other four finally made their attack. Three of them swung their swords for his head. Shinning quickly duct and swipe his back hooves in a tripping manor. He used his magic to appear away from the assault.
Shinning used magic to create a bow and arrow. He shot two of the guards with the magical arrows. This left a couple more. He aimed and shot the last two. As he went to Aim where Empress was standing seconds ago, she was gone. He frantically started looking around. Before he knew it she was standing behind him going for his neck. Shinning dodged and thrust the sword right into her. She looked at the sword stabbing her in the chest. She gave a blank stare at him as the sword turned into a mist and then reformed and hit the floor.
“Did you really think I would be that easy Shining armor?” Empress said as she shook her head. “And you think you are going to protect cadence and your thrones from me. How about you just give up now.” She smiles as her eyes began to glow.
“I may not be powerful. I may not be that tough of a stallion. I swear I will do all in my power to stop you. That was when an eye appeared on one of the drapes above Empress.
“You don’t have to~!” discord now replaced the drape. He pounced on Empress with his hands glowing. He immediately bit into Empress’s side and tossed her against a wall. “You killed my friends~!” Discord growled as her got in a ready position. Empress slowly stood up the bite wound healing before discords eyes.
“Well if it isn’t Discord himself~!” Empress said as the bones in her demonic bat wings began to glow. “I should have figured you would track me down, seems you’re just as loyal as Rainbow was.” She let out a chuckle as she said this to him.
“Don’t you even say her name~! You have no right~!” discord said as he was now walking on all fours. His tail was swaying back and forth for he was ready to fight. He snapped his fingers to try and cast a spell upon empress but for some reason his magic had stopped working. He looked around to see a strange red crystalline structure growing on all the walls. Empress on the other hand was still able to wield her magic.
“Come on dipcord.” Empress said using the voice of Rainbowdash herself. Empress gave a grin as she flew above Discord who quickly punched getting her back on the ground.
“Stop taunting me with her you vile creature.” Discord said as he picked Empress up by the throat ready to bite her again. Empress fazed through him appearing on his back biting his neck. Discord let out a scream as he felt dizzy. He grabbed hold of the red mare chucking her into another wall. Unfortunately for him she had balanced herself well enough to start flying again. Discord growled as he kept his eyes locked on the powerful demonic looking creature. “What is your name?” He asked “why did Rainbow have to die~!”
“The name is the Empress of flame, the one who killed your friend. She was simply in my way. Wrong place wrong time.” Empress said as she landed slowly walking toward Discord. “It was not intended, besides you should be thanking me. Those ponies don’t love you back. You’re their magical play thing. Rainbow dash was not your friend. You’re still evil, like me” empress said as she placed a hoof on his chest. Stone started to coat the top of him.
“w-what how are you doing this~!” Discord yelled out as his arms and legs were quickly turned to stone. Shining armor was now running up behind her at this point. He had to try and save Discord.
“I am part Element of magic, and now…. You suffer.” Empress chuckled and laughed loudly. Shining armor jumped up in the air headed right for a kill shot. He had foolishly opened himself up for attack. In an instant Empress had formed a long tail with a spike on the end of it. The tail resembled a red xenomorph tail. Without looking empress had plowed the spike right into his gut. She maneuvered her tail to hold Shining in front of her face to face. Discord reached out to try and heal him but by the time his talon touch him Discord was completely stone. The tail vanished bringing her soft fire looking tail back.
“It’s like you have eyes on the back of your head.” Shining coughed up blood and he tried to get back up. He was way too weak to be able to fight back He looked down to see his own insides hanging out. “P-please don’t hurt her. She’s all I have besides t-twily.” Shining pleaded. Empress actually appeared to be thinking. He was making a good point. Her soft side finally showed for a short moment. Her eyes glowed and so did his wounds. The wounds appeared on her and healed him. The wounds quickly disappeared on Empress and she touched his head forcing him into her control.
“I will allow you to see your family live. But you will listen to what I say and do as I say.” Empress said as shinning was now under a hypnotic spell. “Take me to her now~!” Empress said as she looked back at discord that was now full stone. “I will follow you soon.” Empress walked up to discord and her eyes were now Sunsets eyes. She touched the stones head and sent images of happiness to him. Almost as if for this brief moment Sunset was in control.
Discord saw wonderful memories of Dash flying racing and even getting her cutie mark. He saw RD taking flight to save her friends from a tornado. The parasprites that even she couldn’t clean up. Lastly he felt a warm hug from her one last time. Empresses eyes returned to the dark eyes they were as a tear now came from the eye of Discord. Empress walked away to go take over the empire. Her first step to taking over Equestria. Empress caught up with Shinning rather quickly. They were arriving at Cadences room now and the crystal empire would soon be ruled by one darker than the rule of Sombra. Shinning opened the door to cadence who at first was happy to see him. That was until she couldn’t feel anymore. A ring of cyan was over her head the moment Empress stepped into the room. Empress had taken over her mind as if she was filly who couldn’t fight back. That was when Empress saw the throne. She gave a smile as she walked towards it. She rubbed a hoof on the crystal surface.
“come on let me out… the crystal empire is doomed.” He yelled within his mind. “I failed again, one after another just another failure. I always let the ones I love down.” He slumped over in this dream world like state.
“You didn’t let me down.” A feminine voice sounded next to him. He looked up to see Rainbowdash looking at him. “Come on dippy you can do this. Equestria needs you right now. I may be gone but I can still help you.”
“If I get out I’m just going to fail again. Your dead I failed you~!” discord yelled at himself to beat himself up.
“Discord I am never gone. I will always be right here.” She placed a hoof on his chest. “Now would you man up so I can stop being so sappy over here. Celestia and the other will never know what happened if you don’t get back to them. There is no need to avenge me. I was ready to go; I did it for my friends. Sometime in friendship you lose one. You can’t always control it but you can become stronger from it. I don’t think anyone has all the answer to life’s questions. You can count on your friends to help you make it through it, Even if one of them has passed.” Dash said as she smiled at him. Discord let out a roar and the stone on the outside began to crack. He snapped his fingers and the stone broke into pieces. He knew which way empress had gone, but what would be the point in fighting her again when she had the red crystalline spell ability. He knew what he had to do; he had to get back to Celestia, Luna, and Twilight.
The world was changing fast since Sunset had arrived back home. Things were escalating fast, with no end in sight. The only question was. Was Equestria the only world in danger.
Empress of flame (year one edition)
Twilight was now in canterlot. The bruises on her forehead still vividly visible. She was deeply greiving over the death of Rainbow. Her death had brought tragedy into the hearts of many. Discord flashed into the room in a very bright light. Once again tears were streaming down his face.
"the Empire, she took the damn empire." Discord yelled out as he was nearly collapsed on the ground. "That thing needs to be stopped, it over powered me dammit~!" He was very pissed off at this point. Twilight was shocked to have him say such news.
"What of my brother? Is he alright?" Twilight said as she nervously scampered her hooves. she was very scared. She feared for her own brothers life.
"your brother is not himself, she has done something to him... He has lost his mind." Discord said as he could not stand due to how weak he had become. He had eyes full of sorrow, he had become a very shallow dracon.
Empress sat upon her thrown as she looked at the two ponies that once ruled this land. She felt nothing but satisfaction as she sat in the thrown of Cadence. She was sitting there thinking of what else she could do now that her power was almost as full as it could be. Maybe she could take Canterlot over? Thats when the thought came to her. What about the humans who had aided in her defeat the last time? An evil grin spread across her face as she waved her hoof bringing fourth the portal. The glass and frame were sparking with black bolts of electricity as it now sat before her. The portal may be closed for thirty moons but maybe there was some way for her to open it by force? Empress slowly got out of the throne and walked up to the portal. She smiled as she could feel it was in some kind of pain. Her energy was resonating from it.
"So thats where the rest of my energy went?" Empress said as she rubbed her hoof on its glass. "you have given me more of a reason to open you up and show those apes what it is like to fear something." Empress opened her mouth causing black mist to come out of the mirror. Empresses eyes started to glow brightly as she got slightly taller from absorbing the magic she had misplaced. The portal started to spiral and open up. She chuckled and began to sing a song to everypony who was in the room even the guards who obeyed her without mind control. "This is the day i have longed for died for broke my god damn heart for," She flapped her wings as she leaned a little sexually on the mirror. "I sang m dying breath now you shall relive it you dropped the cage i'm bringing it back up~! prepare yourself your running out of luck. Your loyalty fell so shall you soon, hold on dear to honesty before you laugh it away. A little bit of kindness wouldn't have hurt, instead you forgot to be generous enough to let your magic flow." Empress walked up to shinning armor placing a hoof under his chin. Your love may be strong baby but damn i am stronger, I'm not chrysalis you fool, i wont be wearied." Empress looked back at the mirror with eyes that now shined like a blue sun. She let her tongue stick out as she let out a hiss, before continuing her song. "bring it on chaos your bound to be broken, turn to stone and left like an decoration for a garden of harmony. shows the scars you left behind, you'll soon be forgotten because this world is mine so will your friends be their to stop me? Loyalty is gone you left her alone in disarray. Bring it on world because your soul is mine." Empress stepped into the portal that led to the humans.
average day as usual for this part of the world. Canterlot High doing it's usual. That changed when the portal began to spark. students and adults were surrounding the statue with their cameras at hand. Te news had arrived and was doing it's best to over exaggerate a sparking statue.
"No one has an explanation as to why the statue started sparking, on the other hand it is causing views on some social media sites. It's been sparking for about 3 hours now and nothing has happened. Some are calling it a sign of the end of days and others are saying it is the wrath of god." After the news reporter had finished his statement all mics and booms had a large amount of screeching feed back that the managers of sound could not seem to get to stop. At the exact same time a red hand reached through the portal. The hand soon followed with a 10 to twelve foot tall female devil looking thing. empress had finally made it all the way through. Flash sentry recognized the creature immediately. All these people just stood their as if they were brain dead. Taking snapchats and video blogs. Empress looked over at the news van and raised her hand to it. A deep red aura started to appear around it as she squeezed her hand closed the vehicle started to crumple into nothing but a flat slate of parts. Thats when people took action and started to flee in fear. Empress let out a screeching sound that made people spines tingle. She places a finger on the ground and fire formed where her finger touched. Empress smiled knowing that her powers were now near their full. she held out a hand and the microphone flew to her palm. She wrapped her elongated fingers around the mic. "I wouldn't runnnnn~!" she yelled out as Cyan rings formed around their skulls pulling them all into some sort of mind spell. "turn towards the authorities they are your real enemy." She said as the hundred of people turned to an aggressive state of mind. Their anger was pointed towards the police who had been supervising. One of the cops was trigger happy and let the shot ring. The school grounds quickly turning into a war zone as shots were fired off. Empress was becoming very pleased with the self depletion of sanity that the human race was good at showing.
"Sunset Shimmer~!" Flash Sentry said as he stood below the larger being he did not know the name of. "don't do this you have been in this place before~!" Empress looked down at him as she knelt down to growl at him.
"Hahahahahahahahhahaha, what would you know you blue haired simpleton." Empress said as she looked into his eyes. sunset may have had feelings for you, but she is not here so do not expect my mercy." Empress used her magic to levitate the human boy off the ground. Flames slowly forming on his clothes. flash began to scream as the flames were slowly growing bigger. Her magic holding hims till so he could not move. she swiped her hand at a nearby car causing it to flip from the might that just a finger brought from her magic. Flash continued to scream as he was slowly burning to death. empress was getting irritated by his screams. "Maybe next time you wont call em by the name of my counterpart~!" She swiped her hand sending him flying through a nearby window. "I think it's time your world burns. Empresses eyes turned completely black as she raised her hands to the sky. She was attempting her take over when the military arrived. Two jets fire homing missiles directly at her. both hitting her directly. Empress let out a scream as she was hit. She was far from dead as she wobbly stood back up. The jets were coming in for another round. One shot the homing missile right at her again. Empress held out her hand and the missile stopped. The small thruster still trying to move it forward. She twirled one finger turning it to aim at the jet whom had fired. empress then took flight after the other jet. Her wings flapped turning her mind controlled people into demons themselves. They had simple flame abilities allowing them to torch and scorch everything around them. She flew after the other jet as his back up had arrived. The six new jets were now right on her tail. She knew she could take them but she was going to need to move a bit faster. Her tail started to flicker more like flame as she flew. the faster she flew the more smoke she left behind. Several people below were praying at the sight. She grabbed the back tail of the jet she was chasing. she quickly made her way towards the cockpit. Just her hands touching the jet was making its internal devices go haywire. The jet pilot barrel rolled to try and get her off but his Jet was slowly declining in maneuverability as she got closer. She slammed her claws into the glass of the cockpit and then proceeded to rip the glass dome right off the plane.
"she threw the pilot from his seat and the back flipped to land on one of the six jets behind her. She held out two hand and used her magic to force two of the planes to fire homing missiles at the plane she had landed on. she jumped off as the two missiles slammed into the plane. The fiery explosion made her go flying a little. she was lucky enough to land another plane. She crawled immediately for the cockpit and she placed a hand on the Cockpit. The inside started to heat up like an oven as she also used magic to control the plane in flight. The other planes barrel rolled to now be behind her . the one closest opened fire with its machine guns. Time was moving very slow for Empress on the other hand. The moment she heard the first bullet leave the barrel she was immediately clinging to the bottom of the plane causing the bullets to rip through the cockpit of the plane instead of her. She then leaped back and threw to fireballs into two more of the planes. Once she had one plane left she simple stayed on the plane cooking the pilot in his own cockpit. She had also used magic to disable the eject sequence so te pilot literally had no way of defense. Twilight was right this world could not survive without the elements of harmony. This world was officially going to burn.

The world was not ready for such a threat to the human existence. Empress hated everything about these people. The way they looked the way they talked. The made her more enraged than Celestia or Twilight ever could. Something so powerless had aided in her defeat when she had first taken over the delicate mind of sunset Shimmer.
“Listen men at exactly 9:00 am a small town became under attack by an unknown force.” The general said as he paced before his men. “It managed to take out several jets and turn the town into nothing but monsters, Today it is your turn to take down this thing before it moves forward to any other countries and or states.” He sniffed the air as the smell of smoke was nearing the military base. The large hill in the distance nearly engulfed in flames. “Now get ready and move out men~!” At his command this base would fall victim to the she demons force. The military rushed for their most advanced weapons such as unmanned drones and Rocket propelled grenades. Empress stood on the burning hill with her deformed demon army standing by her side. She hovered the badly burned Flash sentry next to her. She had not yet turned him into a Demon. A tank slowly turned it’s turret in her direction firing dead center for her. Empress held out a hand slowing the projectile to a complete stop before melting it where it floated.
“Let us show this base what we got.” She pointed at the base as armor appeared on her. The armor was a red tinted gold. “Then we will take over the rest of this pitiful world. Now go~!” Empress yelled to her mind controlled army who was willing to die for her. The hundred upon thousands of demonically deformed people rushed down the hill for the military base. Right as her demonic army collided with the humans fire began to slowly engulf the base they were attacking. Empress’s eyes showed nothing but hate, within those eyes Sunset shimmer was forced to watch helplessly. She saw what she was doing but was powerless to do anything about it. She felt like crying but tears would not form. Empress had complete control it seemed. Empress finally decided she should join the battle below. One of the men fighting her demons saw her coming and yelled out.
“The big one is coming; everyone get read faze one is a go!” He said as he shot a bullet into the head of one of the demons. Empress landed on a runway where planes would land and take off. Upon landing flames appeared where she stepped. Her spiked high heels making indents and cracks in the runway, she was tapping her foot to a nonexistent song. She looked as she saw some tanks were approaching her. One fired and the large bullet smacked her shoulder knocking her to the ground as her arm quickly reformed.
“No more mercy shots men, shoot to kill~!” The turrets pointed for her vitals as dust and rock started to revolve and float around her. Empress stood up as one tank shot after another. All shells were sucked into some kind of swirling ball of energy that was slowly heating up causing the lead to melt and revolve around her. Empress’s eyes began to glow in a cyan color of rage. The tanker reloaded and fired twice more. Empress readied herself as she unleased the ball of molten lead upon the tanks. The tanks now had clogged barrels as she approached them.
“No mercy~! No mercccccccy~! Fine now I show no mercy~!” She closed her hand and her magic followed through. All five of the tanks slowly crushed within themselves. The then clapped her hands together to force the crushed tanks into one ball of metal. Her eyes flashed and metal started to build into something new. Empress stood there as a dragon looking head started to form. Flame making up its eyes. The metal pieces were forming around Empress as she was now the controller of this metallic looking dragon head. More metal began to fly towards her to make up the body as the military began to notice the turned their guns from her army like fools. The metal dragon was two legged and had wings for where the arms would be. Empress made the head point towards the men as it opened flame shot from the mouth engulfing their men and vehicle. The tail had a large spiked ball on it. She used this to crush several vehicles approaching from the back. Jets flew overhead, this time they were equipped with heat seeking missiles.
“This is eagle one with eagle 2-6 reporting, We have visual on the dragon, Where is the demon located?” Eagle one of the squadron asked over the intercom.
She appears to be within the head of that metal beast, unleash hell~!” Base yelled over the intercom. Their command was soon gargled over by their deaths as flame engulfed the building they were in. The squadron circled around as their heat seeker were now armed and aimed for the head of the metallic beast. Empress saw them coming and she knew exactly what she had planned. The squadron unleashed their missiles, each one smacking the head of the beast. Empress flew out of the head and the dragon immediately started to crumble. Empress flapped her wings as she was now at the level of the planes. They flew by her right as she flapped her wings. 5 of the squad members were suddenly overcome with the urge to fire upon their fellow members.
This is eagle two requesting that you prepare yourself for missile breach eagles.” Eagle one unleashed his heat seekers upon his own men three being unable to escape as the missiles plowed into them. Eagle three then took over and shot missiles at eagle two and the rest, upon destroying them he cut the engine and let himself sharply decline in altitude. The jet made a screeching sound through the air before impact. The flames shot out covering much of the surrounding area. The more fire the more powerful Empress felt. Empress looked out and saw her army was overwhelming the military. Empress couldn’t help the feeling of emotion she was feeling as she heard their screams. Empress knew now that there was no way for this world to defend itself. Then something hit her. The elements of harmony were only missing it’s loyalty in one world. If twilight came here she would have means to stop her. Empress growled at the thought.
Rainbow Dash was in the broken down Canterlot high with other survivors of the first attack. She was helping gather food with Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Rainbow didn’t get to see the cause of this but all she knew is something dark had happened. She was rummaging through a cabinet and managed to find a couple cans of beans. She had a feeling that anyone who was still alive was going to come very accustom to eating these. Pinkie began to feel uneasy.
“Hey Dashy I’m not feeling alright… Something is wrong.” Pinkie was beginning to feel the twitch of her pony counterpart. Something bad was headed their way; it was headed right for Rainbow dash. “We need to hide~!” Pinkie yelled out right upon Empresses landing on the crumbling roof above them. Rainbow das duct under a desk that was visible through a hole above. Empress could smell someone was near so she poked her head through the hole.
“Rainbow Dash I need you….” She said as she reached for the desk she was under.
“Hey you big Meany~!” Pinkie said as she came out from around a corner. “You want a piece of me~!” Pinkie said without fear as Empresses dark eyes now looked at her. She came down through the hold and hissed at Pinkie who now stood brave in front of her. Rainbow dash watched form under the desk. She felt a tingling sensation on her own shoulder blades as she watched. Empress was now bent down face to face with the lady of pink.
“I would cut the chatter if I were you, Don’t want everyone to hear your screams.” Empress reached out quickly picking Pinkie pie up by the throat. Rainbow dash felt a feeling she had never felt before as bright blue wings form on her back. This was feeling her counterpart had felt before her death.
“Leave her alone~!” Rainbow flew out from under the desk as she sonic rainboomed. Time felt like it had slowed down. Had Rainbow foolishly acted like her counterpart had? Rainbow tackled Empress at full force. Rainbow cause Empress to lose her grip on her friend. Pinkie fell to the ground as the two of them were flying higher and higher up into the air. The clouds now rushed by them as they had made it just above them. Empress pushed away from Rainbow flying in place in front of her, both beings hovered in midair watching and anticipating each other moves. Rainbow was about to make the same mistake as her pony version, Sunset didn’t want to see it again. She felt like screaming, nothing unfortunately came out. Rainbow was watching Empress closely with her violet eyes. Empress was simply grinning waiting for the foolish blue human to make a move. Rainbow started to flap her wings fast. She flew forward at lighting speed. Time felt like it had slowed down. Empress reached out grabbing her by the wing, her mouth wide open as she sunk her fangs into the neck of Rainbow. Rainbow screamed out as she struggled to get away from her. Empress growled as her hands began to glow. She let go of Rainbow whose wings turned into a blue pixy like dust. Lighting stuck around Rainbow as she flew through the clouds. Her wings gone and her consciousness fading, Rainbow was plummeting to a similar death to her pony version. Rainbow closed her eyes as her life began to flash before her eyes.
She saw herself hanging upside down on a jungle gym with pinkie pie as they both giggled at Fluttershy who had fallen. Then they soon got down and lovingly gave her a band aid for her scratched knee. She then saw a flash of her getting her hair braided by Rarity. Rainbow was not thrilled but let it happen to please her friend. She then saw her friends all arguing as Sunset Shimmer stood in the background laughing. That memory was soon followed by a group hug at the end of the fall formal. She remembered all her soccer games, wins and losses. Memories of her friendship were flashing rapidly through her head as Blue light started to form on her shoulder blades. The rain above now patting her body as she continued to fall, Rainbow felt tears begin to swell in her eyes at the thought of possibly losing her friends. The light on her shoulder blades began to sparkle as more memories flooded her mind. She saw the heart shape her friends had made upon using magic for the first time. The time one of her soccer mates had asked her out in front of rarity embarrassing her. Her first party where she had drank underage. Her first closet kisses her first friendship, all this flashing before her in an instant. Rainbow was now only a thousand feet from impact when the memory that changed it all flashed in her mind. Rainbow was holding Fluttershy close as she cried from the loss of her closest pet. Who was going to watch over her if she died? Rainbow let the tears flow as wings shot from her back once again. Her eyes shot open as her wings franticly flapped to slow her terminal velocity. Rainbow smashed right through a window and hit a desk nearly brushing her ribs instead of breaking them. She laid stomach first on the ground as Empress landed before her. Rainbow was limp momentarily. Rainbow made a fist with her right hand as she used it to help her stand. Her violet eyes were glowing with magic this time. A necklace began to form around Rainbows neck. The Element of Loyalty no longer had a possessor in Equestria so it had materialized its way around her neck from there.
“W-what~!” empress yelled out angrily as flames formed on her hands. “You’re supposed to die from that.” She was getting very aggravated as she Saw Rainbow dash alive. Empress flapped her wings in anger as she looked Rainbow in the eyes. “You want to put up a fight then a real fight you shall receive.” Empress said as two balls of fire formed floating above her palms. Rainbow dash still had tears in her eyes as her element began to glow.
“I will not be destroyed, Sunset Shimmer I know your still in there. We were friends~!” Rainbow said as she tried to use the magic of Friendship to sway someone who was not currently present. Rainbow felt a power she never knew she had begun to flow through her veins. Empress was listening to rainbow but was trying her best not to laugh.
“Sorry but your amber friend is no more, She relinquished her control to me~!” Empress said as her hand began to glow picking up Rainbow. “I have no choice but to kill what could aid in my defeat… You have to go now Rainbow Dash.” Empress used her magic to throw the light blue girl into a wall. Rainbow hit with a hard thud as she let out a small scream for air that had been knocked out of her. Rainbow watched as Empress now slowly approached. Rainbow Dash wasn’t going to go down this way either. Rainbow jumped at Empress Air kicking her across the face. Rainbow kicked her as her foot moved at a sonic rainboom pace. Empress was knocked back but not down. Empress on the other hand had a cut cheek and a bleeding nose from that kick. Empress flapped her wings and every time she did the world around them seemed to fade. Her wings had brought them to some kind of white dimension briefly before the world around them reappeared. Empress was quickly in front of Rainbow trying to grab her by the throat. Rainbow threw out her arms causing a small blast wave of energy. This knocked Empress back who proceeded to shoot to beams of magic from her hands. Rainbow held out her hand. The beams hit her hands and she was holding back any harm. Empress kept the magic flowing knowing that eventually Rainbow would not be able to hold her back.
“Please Sunset your there I know you are, you need to wake up your hurting people.” Rainbow said as she collapsed to her knees still holding back the two beams with her hands. Sunset watched hopelessly through her own eyes as she saw Rainbow Dash pleading with her. Rainbow looked to her own right and saw the hazy image of a blue winged pony. The pony looked at her and she felt a sudden boost of courage and energy. Rainbow slowly stood up as a beam of energy was now also shooting into the two beams of empress’s magic. The beams were resonating from the emblem on Rainbows necklace. “Come on Shimer you wanted change you wanted a new day, why are you doing this?” Rainbows eyes filled with tears. This sight sent a shockwave through the magic Empress was shooting at Rainbow. Empress’s eyes changed to sunset’s eye. Empress held her own head in pain as Sunsets voice came from her mouth.
“Run Rainbow run before she hurts you.” sunset said from the mouth of Empress “Run now~!” Empress held her head in pain as Sunset was using all her strength to restrain her. Rainbow stood there for a moment but soon took notice as to what was happening. She was unfortunately to loyal to leave.
“No Sunset you can do this I can’t just leave you to die inside.” Rainbow said reaching out towards Empress who was flailing from the pain in her head. Her screams were separate from Sunsets voice.
“No you need to go, you need to run now. She will kill you I c-can’t hold h-her much l-longer~!” Sunset said as her voice was sounding strained now. Rainbow knew she should have left but if she died trying to help a friend it was for the best.
“Sunset you’re not a monster you’re my friend and you always will be!” Rainbow yelled to her as the whites of Empresses eyes were starting to slowly turn black again. Sunset was losing her grip upon Empresses control. Flames started to form on Empresses arms now as she was yelling in pain from Sunset still slightly restraining her.
“Rainbow I won’t be able to live with myself if she hurts you now go~!” Sunsets voice and soul seemed to almost fade again as the whites of Empresses eyes were now fully black again. Rainbow tried sprinting for the door but was cut short when a bar of metal came flying through her chest pinning her to a nearby wall. Her wings fading immediately from the impact, some blood was now leaking from her mouth.
“Tell me Rainbow dash. Was being loyal so worth it this time.” Empress said as she placed a finger on top of the dying girls head. All of her facial veins turned black. Empress force nothing but negativity into her head. “Things don’t have to be this way.” She said as she used magic to remove the necklace from Rainbows head. “You could stay pinned to this wall and die orrrr, you can join me and live.” Empress said as she was now face to face with Rainbow who could hardly choke out words due to the pipe in her chest. As Rainbow was deciding whether or not to abandon loyalty and friendship a flash of a spark sparkled in her eye.

The end is near
With the human world at war with Empresses army, Equestria seemed almost unharmed. How long could such mercy last? Empress had already shown countless times that she had no problem with killing others. Back in Equestria there was no telling who she wouldn’t hurt. The portal was swirling upon her return to the world of equines. She knew she had much to keep track of no that she had the other world under her wrath. Empress looked around to see her throne room looked the same as when she had left it. Shining Armor was standing guard by the throne. He was fully armored with all his weapons nearby.
“Master we have kept your throne safe.” Shinning said in a rather monotone voice.
“Is there anything else that you need majesty?” Cadence said as Empress looked towards her. Empress could sense more than just them in this room. Her eyes started to glow as she looked at Cadence. Her vision allowed her to look at her internals. Empress smiled slightly upon seeing it. There was life growing inside Cadence. Empress herself had never seen such things and was almost immediately going soft from it.
“So you are expecting then?” Empress said, she did not expect a response from the mind controlled pony so she did not wait for any answer. Empress reached out towards cadence. Upon touching her empress felt a deep pain shoot through the base of her neck almost as if something heavy had just slammed her neck. At that moment she had envisioned a crib sliding wall slamming down. Empress let out a scream as she felt pain on the base of her neck. Empress’s nose and mouth were now bleeding slightly as she now had tears in her eyes. She looked at cadence as her nose dripped from whatever had just happened.
“Mistress, are you alright?” Shinning asked as he was walking towards empress who’s muzzle was still slightly dripping blood. Empress looked at them both before shouting.
“Both of you out right now… I need my space.” She said as she was sitting in her throne slightly slumped over as her back was still aching. Empress felt the pain hit her again. Her image flashed from casual empress to something else. Something else was trying to get out. Empress let out a bat like screech as she used her powers to fight off whatever force inside her was doing this. She let out a scream as a glowing golden streak of color was trying to form under her eyes. The images of both rainbow dashes started to flash through her head. Empress felt their pain as she saw them. Something else was in these visions. Empress tried to concentrate. There was another pony there by Rainbow, some amber colored pony who had a white flowing dress. There was light coming off this pony’s back. This light almost looked like wings. Empress had seen this figure only once before. Her horn started to glow in a defensive nature. The pain faded along with the visions in her head. Empress was sitting there panting hard. It had taken a lot of magic to fend of whatever was trying to punish her just now. Empress felt very uneasy now. “That doesn’t make any sense..” Empress slowly said to herself.
“awwwwwwwwwww what fun is there in making sense?” Discord said as he materialized before Empress. “You know I find it peculiar really. Sunset Shimmer is the one you derived from yet you seem to be doing more harm to her than you are good? What is it you really want dear Empress?” Empress was not exactly ready for his sudden appearance. “Lay down your fight or face me Empress either way Princess Twilight will be here shortly, I won’t let you win…” Discord was cut off by a sudden attack by Empress whom had thrown a magical ball of energy right at him. He dodged it as he snapped his fingers and the ground below him turned checkered. The checkered flannel then turned to chains under Empress. The chains wrapped around Empress as Discord was attempting to subdue her.
"Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo~!" Empress stomped her right hooves causing the chains to melt. She immediately comet dashed at Discord who was unsuspecting. She spiraled at him slamming right into him. Discord, who was caught off guard was brought to the ground. His tail wrapped around the slender red mare in an attempt to get her off him. He used his tail to whip her to the ground. H managed to do this successfully.
"Now empress you must remember you’re dealing with The master of chaos." Discord snapped getting back on his own two feet. "There is literally nothing you could do that could stop me and my mission to bring back the better in you."
"That is where you are wrong." Empress looked into Discords eyes and her eyes began to swirl.
"What are you doing?" Discord chuckled unfazed.
"Look at your hooves sweetheart." she cackles as Discord looked down to see he was turning to stone. Discord was not going to let her take him down this easy. He was pushed to his limits of temperament he had enough. Discord let out a roar as his body started to glow as he teleported away. He was ready to use all his chaos magic against her now, even if that meant throwing Equestria into a magic turmoil, both being charged up ready for the fight. Discord tail started to glow in a golden essence as he swiped in it the air the whole building started to dismantle into several hundred upon thousands of pieces. Empress flew right for him as he prepared for impact he reached out grabbing hold of her.
“This is for Rainbow Dash~!” Discord wrapped his mouth around her thin neck. The castle was floating everywhere for places to jump from. The hundreds upon thousands of pieces were enough to confuse anypony. Discord began to shake empress as he held her with his large mouth. Empress began to bleed so she used magic to teleport away from him. She appeared on another floating shard that she quickly used magic to send flying towards Discord. The ball of crystal quickly lit up in flames before hitting discord. This force sent him flying into another shard. Discord was weary as he looked above him to see Empress flying her way towards him. Next to him was Rainbow dash. She had demonic wings instead of her feathered ones. Her eyes were spiraling as she flew next to Empress. The human world Rainbow dash had taken Empress up on her deal and sided with her.
“Ironic you mentioned her, now she will take care of you.” Empress said as she used her magic to bring the castle back into one solid piece. Rainbow Dash landed by Discord ready to do as Empress had bided. Discord reached out and touched her head forcing her back into her own state of mind. Discord looked at the now deeply confused other world Rainbow dash.
“I need you to fly back to the portal, get out of here. You do not deserve such treatment by her. Now FLY~!” Discord said as he pounced towards Empress who quickly used a xenomorph like tail once again to impale him instantly turning him to stone. Fate of Equestria now rested on a purple mare that was now in the crystal empire. This pony was none other than Twilight Sparkle.
Empress of flame (year one edition)
Empress sat in her new throne levitating the crystal heart. She had ultimately became momentarily bored with herself. She had dreamed of this moment since her original defeat in the human world. Ever since Sunset was foolish enough to ignore her. Empress knew deep down that she would soon find her next take over, until then she was sitting in her crystal throne having Cadence bring her drinks. Discord was stoned behind her in a decorative pose. Empress was rather delighted upon the sense of magic entering her facility. Upon this sense, Twilight sparkle had entered the throne room. several guards had her restrained a muzzle around her snout as chains cling close to her. Empress smiled and chuckled slightly.
"what terrible manors my guards have chaining your essence up like this." Her eyes began to glow and the chains disappeared. "Guards please leave for i feel princess wishes to negotiate." The guards simply nodded as they walked away. The large door closed behind them as Twilight then looked at Empress.
"I know what you want, i am here to talk about your wants. All i ask is you release the hold you have upon my friend Sunset and my family." Twilight said in a shaking voice. "You want things and so do i, there is no reason we can't compromise." Empress gave a deadpan expression to the princess as she listened to her statement.ess fluttered her demonic wings briefly as she then filed with excitement.
“Princess I have to hoof it to ya. You really do think you have it all figured out. Let me guess you want to compromise a portion of Equestria for the release of your friends and family. Let me have you know Equestria is not what I want.” Twilight heard her words and immediately drifted into a state of confusion.
“w-what, you clearly stated before that you wanted Equestria. You were so keen on that idea.” Twilight slowly spread her wings in anger as she felt she was being tricked. “What do you want if no Equestria?” Empress looked into Twilights eyes as she heard her request for information.
“I will admit that yes my original plans were for Equestria alone. Then I realize exactly what I wanted.” She stomped her right hoof causing the sparking portal to become visible. “That other world had caused me so much hurt as well.” Empress said as her eyes were glowing slightly with the anger she felt. The source of her power becoming more and more apparent as Twilight was in the room. Empress derived directly from the emotions Sunset Shimmer was feeling. Anger appeared to be the one that had brought her fourth in the first place. Empress felt another presence in the throne room.
Upon feeling this Luna and the main six had walked out with armor upon they’re bodies.
“Empress of flame you are here by arrested for your crimes against Equestria.” Luna stated as she looked at her consumed friend. The one that if she had just warned Twilight about, maybe none of this would have happened. Empress growled upon hearing those words, she sure felt deceived.
“Thou are here to arrest me?” Empress said as her wings flapped once, remaining at full aggressive spread now. Empress was feeling nothing but pure rage. “I hope you know I will not be taken easily~!” she flapped her wings causing the magical reducing crystals to form a small dome around Twilight so she could not join this fight. She knew if they didn’t have their element of magic she would stand more of a chance. Twilight screamed out as from inside the dome memories of Rainbow dash played from inside. Dark magic holding her in here against her will. Luna teared up as she drew a sword from a holster. Empress smiled as her eyes turned completely black. A red crystal scythe appeared in her bubbling magic aura. “I hope you are as powerful as you demi gods claim to be~!” Empress tapped the staff of the weapon on the ground causing fire to start to form around her.
“I will do everything I can to take care of this like I should have to begin with.” Luna said as she used her magic to dim the flames Empress had created. Magic started to form in an aura as she made the sword disappear. “I will fight you magically~!” Luna said as she made the scythe disappear. Empress had caused Luna to do just as she had wanted her to. Without weapons Empress could not get as badly hurt. She wouldn’t have to focus energy as often on her impressive healing. Discords statue began to bleed from where she had stabbed him as a red flashing light of magic was coming from his chest.
“I manage to win against the god of chaos, I think I have proved myself worthy enough to take you on Luna.” Empress said as her hooves began to glow in a magic aura now as well. Empress began to float slightly off the ground when Luna sent her first magical attack. Luna had sent a mind bender at Empress. The spell hit her directly sending flashes of any memory Empress might have to distract her. Some kind of memory had hit her and this caused her to groan in pain as if something had slammed down on her neck. Black smoke began to leak from the corners of her eyes and nose. Her fangs grew much bigger as she was hurt physically by whatever had just happened to her in her memory. Empress began to tear up after this memory. She wasn’t some monster with no feelings. Whatever she had seen was causing her grave emotional pain. “I was t-to young” Empress said as she lowered her head it seemed she may have already submitted defeat. Luna let her guard down as she approached her.
“You can’t keep running from a past as colorful as yours.” Luna said spreading her wings attempting to sway the mare into admitting defeat. Empress looked up at Luna with a new pair of eyes. It was not sunset’s eyes nor the eyes she usually had. Some pair of grey eyes stared back at Luna. The eyes unfortunately quickly shifted back to the dark entities they were before as anger shifted. Luna saw the attack coming but was not quick enough to get out of the way. The tail that had killed Discord was now headed to penetrate Luna right in the stomach. Apple jack had bravely taken it instead. She quickly got between Empress and the princess. The sound was blood curdling. The tail entered horrifically causing Apple jack to let out a scream of large amounts of pain. Empress tossed her aside and teleported to the mirror as she now held Twilight with magic. Twilight had been teleported from the dome empress had created. Twilight screamed out as she was pulled into the portal with Empress. Luna looked down at the bleeding mare.
“Apple j-jack” Luna said in a shaking voice.
“Oh yeah that hurts much worse than I had originally expected.” AJ cough as she laid nearly motionless on the ground.
“Thou should not have sacrificed their life for me.” Luna said as tear began to fill her eyes. “Oh AJ please stay.” Luna said as she laid down by the orange mare. An orange mist began to pour out of Apple jack as her eyes glazed over. Memories were displayed in this mist much like a movie. Apple jack was holding Twilight only to assure her that if she let go she would be ok. Another memory flashed to see how she had broken the meaning of her own element only to later call out the flim flam brothers in there game of lies. The most depressing memories flash by as the memories of AJ’s parents whom had died early flashed before the ponies in the room. A blue mist had suddenly appeared by the orange mist. The memories stopped as the two mists dissipated slowly as they combined. Before they were fully gone the mists had formed the image of Apple jack being hugged by Rainbow dash. Luna felt nothing but sadness as her friend was gone. Pinkie was holding AJ close crying hard. Fluttershy could hardly keep herself together as she saw her friend’s life leave. Luna closed her eyes as she felt a hand of some sort touch her hoof that was placed on AJ’s chest. Luna opened her eyes to see a colorful mist in the form of discord himself. He looked at her as his hand began to glow. His eyes a pure gold color as he looked at the princess of the night. Discord started to glow as the orange mist was summoned before him. He had failed to help Rainbow but he felt he had to try and not fail again. That was when a snap was heard and Applejacks eyes shot open as she gasped for air. Upon the snapping sound Discord had disappeared the statue glowing behind them.
Empress of flame (year one edition)
Twilight opened her eyes to see she now had hands. Soot and ash now on the ground from which her hands were placed, she felt a hot hand grab her by the hair and pick her up. Twilight yelped as she saw it was Empress who was the demon form she had recognized.
“Hia sweetheart, what a pleasure to have you here.” Empress said as she dropped twilight whom landed on her rump on the hair cold ground. "Don't you just love what I've done to the place. You were right when you said this world wouldn't survive if it had to face a powerful force." Empress chuckled as several transformed people flew down. They had changes much like snips and snail had when they were forced into demon forms.
"Why, how could you do this?!" Twilight felt tears swell in her eyes.
"Simple really, They sided with you in my defeat. Soooo in turn they perish under my rule." Empress said as she used her hands to help Twilight to her feet. "They fight really hard, In fact the fight is still going. LET US GET A FIRST CLASS VIEW!" Empress spread her wings as she grabbed Twilight by the shoulders. She quickly flew up. Twilight let out a scream as she was dragged into the sky. She wanted to fight back for this world but was magic less so she couldn't.
"Put me down, There is no need for this. You don't have to do any of this!" Twilight yelled trying to convince the demon to stop. Ash and soot was now plastering on Twilights clothes. Also this was leaving dark marks on her face. Empress landed on top of Canterlot Highs roof. and pointed out to a row of tanks and military fighting against demonized humans. One tank slowly started to aim at Empress.
"See this is the pain you have caused this world. this is the pain you have caused Sunset. This is me putting an end to it!" Empress yelled for she did not notice the approaching attack on herself. Twilight on the other hand did. The tank fired and was heading straight for twilight, Empress saw this and her eyes immediately changed to Sunsets eyes. Only momentarily. Empress put up a hand out and the shell of the shot fires stopped right infront of Twilights face. "You never fire at HER!" Empress threw the bullet back at the tank, destroying it. Then Empresses eyes returned and That small reminisce of Sunset was gone.
"See, right there. Empress there is still good left in you. Sunset is that good!" Twilight said trying to use words against Empress. Empress quickly turned twilight around as she locked hand with Twi.
"You know I'm starting to see why She was so attracted to you." A deep and demonic purr escaped Empresses throat. Empress placed one of her clawed hands on Twilights stomach. Her hand glowed and it burned the top Twilight was wearing clean off. Without burning of Twilights Bra or burning Twilights skin. Twilights eyes widened at the Empresses sudden change in attitude.
"Stop! You cant just....." Twilights eyes widened more as Empress kissed Twilight on the neck. Twilight felt a warm tingly sensation serge through her body in response to the demonic and fiery kiss. Twilight couldn't help but like that feeling.
"I believe your body says otherwise." Empress said as her fangs slightly scratched Twilight on her neck. "You Princess Twilight are the reason this is all happening. Why not become a part of it?"
"NO, I will not fall victim to your cruel joke!" Twilight tried getting out of the grasp of Empress. "You will not succeed in your plan! The magic of friendship will defeat you. All of these people all of the ponies in Equestria will unite as one. They will defeat you." Twilight smiled as she spoke her words of friendship. Empresses hair began to flicker more rapidly like a raging fire. She was now getting agitated.
"If that was true they would have won already, so enough of your fake wisdom." Empress turned Twilight around so she could look her in the eyes. Empress placed a claw in-between the divider of both bra cups. She quickly cut it with one curl of her finger. Twilight quickly caught it so it wouldn't fall.
"Your in denial Empress, you know I'm right. You know that they will stand no chance if I were to side with you. That is your only reason for tying to tempt me." Twilight said as she held her bra to her chest. Empress then brought Twi closer to her.
"Oh really? Is that what you truly believe?" Empress laughs only to slowly wipe a tear from her own eye. "My your soooo wrong Princess." Empress takes three claws and uses them to caress Twilight right cheek.
"Stop touching me!" Twilight tried moving her head away from the demonic hand.
"You want me to stop!" Empress starts to get even more aggravated. "Fine I'll respect you enough to not touch you with my hands." Empress then quickly locked her red lips with Twilights mulberry colored lips. A very hot sensation formed on Twilights lips that sensation then spread throughout her body and then resonated to be between her legs. Empress was trying her best to sway Twi to her side. Twilight wanted it to stop but she also didn't want it to. Twi then slowly began to kiss Empress back. Empress than slowly tried to get the bra completely off Twilight. Twilight then realized she was falling for Empress, she had to stop before she couldn't. Twilight then quickly pulled away from Empress and ran for the edge roof of the building. She knew this was a suicide mission but she knew it would be better than staying here to be a slave to her. She stopped at the edge as she looked down to see the ground not to fair away. Empress was making her way toward Twilight slowly. She didn’t seem very concerned. Twilight saw serval human troop’s march her way. They were quickly intercepted by a band of demonic looking humans whom were apparently transformed into warriors by Empress. Twilight took a deep breath as she got down to an open window to the burnt high school. She nearly slipped when a bandaged hand grabbed hold of her. She looked up to whom had caught her. The hand was of….Sunset Shimmer. This had to be the human Sunset, she had such a different look compared to the Sunset she was used to?
“Mind helping me here you are kind of dragging me down here.” Sunset said as she pulled hard on Twi to get her inside. Twilight closed her eyes as she climbed into the building. She opened them to see Sunset was gone. What had happened was she seeing things? Twilight stood up as she saw a girl turn a corner down the hall. Twilight saw her just barely and immediately headed after her. Twilight was as confused as to what had happened moments ago. Was that the Sunset she knew somehow lending her a hand. She turned the corner to see the girl turn the corner again.
“Wait~! come back~!” Twilight said as she chased after her. She turned another corner to see the girl yet again take another turn. Twilight noticed this girl was wearing Sunsets jacket. “Hey that belongs to my friend~!” Twilight started to move a little faster upon this sight. She turned to see the girl sitting on the floor covering her own face, crying into her arms she seemed so shallow. “Hey, its ok I just need to get back to where I belong. C-can you help me.” Twilight reached out and the entity quickly looked at her. It was Sunset again but she had now eyes at all. Just empty sockets.
“Why did you hurt me~!” She yelled into her face as she looked up at her. Twilight jumped back and sunset’s image faded in front of her. Twilight quickly stood up, upon being at full stand she saw the halls were filled with people. The halls were no longer burned and it appeared everyone was going to class. Twilight was so confused as it seemed no one could see her. She felt them as they walked through her. She looked to her right to see Sunset crying by the lockers. She looked so terrible as if she was emotionally distressed. Twilight knew what she was being shown now. She was seeing Sunsets hurt right before her own eyes. Sunset collapsed to her knees crying as the human mane five had come over to try and cheer her up. Unfortunately they had no positive results. She just kept crying. The image faded and Twilight found herself outside infront of the sparking portal.
“go ahead leave and cause her more pain.” Empress said as she landed behind Twilight. “You did see what I showed you. She is miserable, and you’re going to leave her behind.” Empress said with a smirk. “Go ahead the choice is your stay and make me and her happy. Of leave and break her heart again.”
Empress of flame (year one edition)
Saddle Arabia was a place of much sand. There were not many places one could hide. Especially from a demonic entity seeking world domination. The crystal portal was sitting in the sand for it was randomly appearing places now as it was overloading with power. Twilight flew out face planting into the sand as the relentless empress walked out after her.
"I should have known you would abandon her yet again, you do nothing for her. You shut her out like i knew you would~!" Empress said as smoke was coming out of her nose. Twilight was mad as it was. She wasn't about to be pushed around now that she had her magic.
"You know nothing about how i feel for Sunset. She's my friend, your using her for your selfish needs." Twilight stated in an angered voice. "For this i will make sure your plan falls." Twilight said as her eyes were glowing in a bright aura of white.
"i would like to see you try dear, i defeated Discord what makes you think your small purple ass will stand a chance." Empress said as she flapped her wings once, causing sand to fly up and around her momentarily
"your in for it, you will not succeed. You have caused the death of two of my friends, but the magic of Friendship still lives." Twilight said standing her ground against a very possible end.
"Twilight please, there is no need to fight me when you can simply join me. Do something for Sunset." Empress said as she appeared to be doing all she could to prevent the fight. That was when her halo eyes saw the other princesses land beside Twilight.
"Empress of flame, this is the end this is where you fall." Celestia said as she got in a fighting stance. Empress had tears in her eyes and she was worried as she saw the princesses. Empress had yet to show any form of worry or fear. She sure was showing it now.
"N-no y-you can't. you don't understand what i'm doing. Can't you see Celestia is your true enemy here?" Empress said as she started to shake lightly. The princesses noticed she was shrinking and turning back into Sunset shimmer, who quickly collapsed to the ground. Sunset shimmer lay in the dry sand completely unconscious. The only things remaining of Empress were her wings and eyes which were on Sunset now. Twilight rushed to her side as her magic stopped flowing and her guard was down. Twilight got down next to her and upon touching sunset her eyes lit up into a white aura and she was sent into a vision.
Twilight was in a world of darkness and a pony with wings of light was floating in front of her. The pony had a red stripe around her eyes and a rather vibrant white dress.
"Hello twilight." The pony said as she remained floating infront of Twi.
"w-who are you, where am i?" Twilight asked as she saw nothing but the bright pony and darkness around her.
"I am good that is all you need to know, Empress is near you need to get Sunset away from the princesses. Nothing is as it seems." The pony said as she looked down upon Twilight
"w-what why? Celestia only wants to help?" Twilight said as confusion started to sink in.
"she means worse, She does not want to help our friend here. She wishes to bring harm, Sunset and her have a past with no time to explain exactly what. All i can say to you is take Sunset and run~!"
Twilight came back to reality to see a slightly conscious Sunset now looking at her. Her coat was clearly slowly turning a rose color once again as empress was rising back to surface. a ball of light was around twilight it was a sphere of light. Twilight saw a guard in the distance throw a spear in her direction. The spear went right through the sphere. The sharp end stabbing Sunset right in her upper shoulder. Sunset felt the pain surge through her body. Tears immediately filled her black eyes. She looked down to see the spear in her leg. She looked forward and she felt like time slowed down. Another spear was breaking through the sphere of light and headed directly for her face. Sunset began to instantly turn into a form she had once tried so hard to hold back. Within an instant Sunset turned from herself into the Empress of Flame. The spear was inches from slamming into her face when it began to melt. The glowing ball around her went completely black. All of the glowing essence had disappeared. The sphere baa to crumble into ash as Empress quickly flew out of it. Her massive wings knocking one of the guards nearby out of the sky. Empress was then being quickly pursued by the rest of the squadron that had mysteriously arrived. Empress knew she couldn't out fly these stallions. She also knew they were bent on killing her and sunset.
"Forgive me for what I'm about to do." Empress said to herself as she looked back at the guards behind her. "Give me your best shot~!" She quickly turned around as her horn glowed forcing fire at them like a flame thrower. Empress was grazed by a spear on her side as one guard managed to get by the flame as others were forced to fly back. She felt her darker blood start to drip a little. Empress turned and chased after the stallion who had managed to wound her. She tackled the guard out of the sky. Empress had her mouth around his neck as she and him began to plummet to the ground. Twilight spread her wings and flew after the plummeting ponies. Celestia saw this and used her magic to stop twilight. Twilight struggled as the magic aura held her back. Empress gained her balance but let the other pony fall. Empress saw twilight struggle. Was she going to become a good girl and save her or leave her to be punished?
Empress of flame (year one edition)
Empress felt emotions she had never entirely felt before. Her whole world was changing and she had to help her own enemy. Empress felt as an energy started to consume her body. Time was starting to bend with her magic as her eyes were shifting colors rapidly. Empress was learning things she had locked away in her mind for years. The memories of her life and who she really was deep down were swelling in her mind. All this emotion was fueling her power as emotions always had. Three mists were now at her side. One was rainbow dash the other was Applejack. Lastly Discords essence was now with her. Floating beside her as if ready to help fuel her. Celestia took notice almost instantly due to the power radiating from the one who was now slowly floating to the ground. A yellow light started to come from her bat like wings as her bright side started to combine with her infamous casual look. Empress was crying as she floated down. Twilight could also feel the emotion coming from her. Empress was happy yet tears streamed down her cheeks. Empress had finally found a reason to change. Twilight was her reason to change.
"whats happening to her?" Celestia muttered to her sister, in some kind of hope she would know. Luna was as clueless as she was. Twilight could feel Celestia's magic weakening due to her now distracted mind. Unfortunately Celestia's unfocused mind was till more powerful then her own. Empress looked over at Celestia as her eyes had now changed completely. The whites were a vibrant gold color while her irises were a cyan as always. her pupils were also a shade of gold.
"Celestia goddess of sun." Empress said as the three mists now slowly seeped into her skin powering her more. She landed and her demonic wings flapped kicking up dirt and sand. "Let Twilight go or you will be forced to." Empress said as clear distress and anger was in her voice.
"what are you going to do to make me?" Celestia said as she seemed surprised by Empresses tone. "You are the one who has corrupted this mares mind." Celestia said to try and anger Empress even more than she currently was. Celestia had hoped for this, even if the reason was currently unknown. Celestia had her own dark secrets that she was not yet willing to show. Empress was clearly getting angry. A red mist was now resonating from her.
"I give you fair warning. I have the capabilities to make you and i know you can feel this." Empress thought momentarily. "Let me show you where your actions are going to take this." Empress said as time slowed down around them and the future was laid out before them.
Empress and Celestia stood alone in darkness with the world in the dark backdrop. Empress flapped her wings and in that moment a blast exploded from the surface of the planet.
"Our world is going to be eviscerated if you make me your prime focus. i cans top it but you need to let Twilight go." Empress stated firmly. Celestia smiled and seemed nearly unfazed.
"You think i don't understand this. I know all about this, Empress i don't think you understand i know way more than you understand." Celestia chuckled as her wings spread slowly.
Empress growled as she made the world shift back to reality. "I see you give little to no care towards your own impending doom. Not even the thought of loss to everything fazes you?" Empress let one tear roll down her cheek as she thought about the future and what was in store. Even she had more of a heart than Celestia was showing. Empress shook her head in a manor that showed she was growing very aggravated. Empress slowly shifted to her completely evil look once again as she looked up at Celestia her eyes were now nothing but black sockets as all her teeth were razor sharp. Empress had grown to a state of impatience that was really dangerous. She spread her wings and they were more torn and ripped up. She flapped her wings and the portal appeared behind her. Celestia spread her own wings ready to battle. Luna flew at Empress from the side as if to surprise attack her. Empress didn't even look and she knew exactly what was coming. Empress made the Xenomorph like tail appear once again and it stabbed Luna directly in the right should pinning her to the ground. Twilight screamed out as she saw the lunar princess be taken down so easily. Luna was not dead just emobilized as Empress held her down with her deadly tail. Celestia filled with anger releasing Twilight with her magic to shoot a powerful beam of energy at Empress. Empress held out a hoof and the beam collided with her hoof as she used magic to hold Celestia's beam back from hitting her.
"Empress how dare you bring pain to a royal." Celestia said as she put fourth more power causing Empress to slide back slightly.
"your going to die with no one to love you and no one to cry." Empress said as she growled using her magic to push back. Celestia then ramped up her power to her full capability. Empress slid back more but still managed to keep the beam from hitting her. Empress had the slyist of smiles on her face now. She was more powerful than Celestia herself and frankly this made her more mad in her mind. Empress used her horn and grabbed Celestia with her magic. Celestia was caught of guard and her magic was starting to power down as crystals started to form on her horn. Empress Tossed Celestia onto the ground. She had death in her eyes. She was going to hurt Celestia and badly. Empress hovered over Celestia as the portal to the otherworld seemed to be stabilizing. Empress was about to deliver a finishing blow to Celestia when a spear went straight through her chest from behind. empress let out a blood curdling scream as her image flashed from Sunset to Empress several times as she screamed out. Empress fell to the ground as the spear remained in her chest. The pony who had delivered the killing blow was none other than Twilight herself. Empress felt tears swelling upon seeing her.
"you made me do this~!" Twilight yelled as she fell to her knees.
"Right from the start you were a thief you stole my heart." Empress said as she felt blood fill her mouth. "And i.. your willing victim." She started to cry as she put a hoof on the rod sticking straight through her chest. "I wanted to change and you were fixing me Twilight." She groaned and nearly lost consciousness. "I never wanted this, i wanted you, Sunset wanted you."
"you were going to end what i cared for, you made me do this."
"Nopony can make you do anything. Your choices are what define you. i did define myself as nothing but a hideous monster. b-but i felt love... i saw hope for myself in your eyes. I saw i was something, i saw i could be something. I wasn't able to change." She looked at Celestia who was holding another spear now. empress gave a grin as she saw what was coming. "Twilight i want you to not remember Sunset like this. Remember her for the vibrant soul she was before me." Empress cried out as she felt the pain in her chest. Empresses dark eyes looked up as a spear head thrust forward directly into her face as everything went white. The last thing she heard uttered from Twilight were the word i love you Empress opened her eyes to see she was surrounded by white. She knew she was dead, there was nothing left. Thats was roughly when she felt something firmly grasp her shoulder. She looked back to See a hazy image of Discord and the others she had killed standing there. Discord was holding out a hand to her.
"Hello my dear, I know what you did killed me, but i will not hold grudges. Ones love is something that is strong a thing that causes someone to do things drastic. I do not hate you for this. I forgive you." He said with a smile as he looked to rainbow as he faded.
"I died painfully and in vein, but you did what you felt you had to do to protect yourself. I don't hate you i forgive you" Dash said as she faded as AJ walked through her.
"Painful it was but i forgive you. You are not a monster at least not anymore. Your with us now. your with us and you are forgiven. You are a beautiful mare who wanted to be loved. you had steered in the wrong direction but i do not blame you. We forgive you, so common sugar come with us." Aj said gesturing with her head for Empress to follow. Discord reappeared hugging empress.
"Ponies judged me once for my nature yet i held true knowing i had friends who knew i wasn't the monster i thought i used to be." he said in his deep voice. "You are no different, you have been misunderstood and now you are going to be put to rest for the world never got to witness what you were capable of. I forgive you empress. your......loved." Empress hugged back as a tear slowly went down her cheek as it fell it reflected the life of Sunset shimmer. the love she felt and the things she cared for. When it hit the ground empress and the others had faded. You died but you are loved dear empress. Your empress of a dying flame. Died but not forgotten. you...are.. loved.

this chapter i hope you feel how i feel for empress i hope you all to will see she wasn't always so bad. She was a piece of work and was nothing but a monster. For those who have stuck by me through the series and up to this anniversary. i thank you. You all watched as i developed my character Empress. She derived from something cannon and became something so much more. i wouldn't have gotten here without you all. Thank you.
Empress of flame (year one edition)
The world was dark and cold. The sounds of burning flames surrounded Sunset. She was curled up in a ball as the darkness was creeping closer. Black mist filled with glowing embers was surrounding her. The closer the mist got to her the more red her skin tone became. The darker her skin the louder she screamed out for help. All the people from the fall formal were there. Laughing at her, telling her she could never change, telling her that she would forever remain a monster. Dark misty red hands began to come from the black mist. The reached for her a voice along with the hands telling her to be strong, telling her that they were her only friend.
“Leave me alone, wake me up~!” Sunset yelled out as her eyes were filled with tears that were evaporating the moment they touched her cheeks. Sunset held her hands over her stomach as pain was resonating from there. She so badly wanted to wake from this nightmare. She cringed in pain as the whites of her eye turned black.
Sunset quickly sat up in bed now as she had finally awoken from the nightmare once again. She held her own palm against her forehead as she had the most excruciating head ache. Sweat was dripping off of certain aspects of her as she sat there in bed. She felt as if she was engulfed in flames. She was so distraught inside. After the events of the fall formal Sunset felt she would never be forgiven for what she had done. Ever since she had felt this way she had been having the strangest of dreams. In these dreams there was always some kind of burning pain along with a black and red mist offering her its hand. Sunset always felt evil from this mist. Sunset gazed at the clock that loomed on her wall. She had six hours before school even started. Two years since the fall formal, still she felt the dirty looks of the ones who watched her every move. Not a single teen in this town trusted her. The feeling of hate that swelled deep within Sunset always made her feel like she was burning. Her hate seemed to be wielding the mindset of a creature deep within. Sunset did her best to shake the feeling which was easy in this world. The feeling she felt deep within was a feeling of magic. She believed it was reminisce of the disastrous magical situation she had caused at Canterlot High.
“Can I please have one damn good night of sleep?” Sunset said to herself. “I don’t want to feel punished anymore, I want to move on.” She slowly got out of her bed. She was starving; she had to go find something she could use to fill the hole that was her stomach. Her pajamas were messed up from her nightmare. Her pajama bottoms were in a slant in a diagonal line that allowed part of her underwear to show. Her top was short enough that when she stretched it caused her midriff and curves to show. Her sleek body showed little signs of stress. Her eyes on the other hand showed allot of her internal torment. They were not very lively looking. The windows to her soul concealed the spunk that was her attitude. Instead it showed darkness and depression. Sunset Shimmer was such a wreck. She knew that if she continued to feel this way she was either going to die or do something she was going to regret. That was when an idea popped into her head. Sunset rushed for the bathroom and grabbed a comb as she began to straighten up her own hair. She was now thinking out loud as she paced back and forth. “The portal is going to be open for another three days. If I can get in without anyone here seeing me, I can then be with the creatures I can mend with.” Sunset was beginning to smile as she imagined herself with her magical abilities back. Excitement began to fill her body and her eyes were sparking to more lively as she thought about it. She could be in Equestria once again; she could finally continue her studies. She could look into the velvet eyes of the beautiful princess of friendship. Sunsets irises shrunk when that thought fluttered its way into her head. Since when did her mind have beautiful and twilight in the same context? That was when her phone began to vibrate violently with text messages. Sunset quickly took it out of her pocket and looked at the screen to see an unknown number calling her. Her cyan eyes stared at it for the longest time. Should she answer it? Or should she let it ring? Her thumb shakily pressed the answer button as she slowly pressed the phone to her head. “H-hello?” She said in a shaky voice.
“Hello this is the EQ association; we are calling for Sunset Shimmer is she around?” A Woman said on the other end. Over the phone the voice seemed oddly familiar to Sunset.
“Yeah y-you’re t-talking to her?” Sunset said in a questionable manor. She was confused as to why she was talking to an association she had never heard of. That was when the phone hung up and there was now nothing but an echo of the dial tone. Sunset stood there in her dark room for a little bit now. What the hell had just happened to her? Was she being pranked again by one of her fellow peers? She wouldn’t doubt it, though this phone call just gave her another reason to leave to Equestria. She looked over at the clock again and thought to herself. What better time to head to the portal then now. There was no way anyone was at school six hours before it started. She closed her eyes and thought about it for a bit. It didn’t take long for the idea to set in. She was going to Equestria, and she was going now. Sunset angrily grabbed her leather jacket as she exited the house she was living in. The cold air it her like a wall. She was quickly shivering before she knew it. Her breath leaving her mouth and nose were quickly turned into a visible mist as it hit the cold air. Her hair was swaying slightly as the cold air rushed by in the form of wind. Sunset didn’t care if the weather was this shitty. She had a place to get to and nothing was going to stop her. As she walked she could feel the anger inside swelling the closer she got to the school. The front entrance lined with newer brick from where she had lost control and used magic to turn it into a hole. Sunset couldn’t explain it very well but when she had turned into that demon she felt as if she wasn’t herself anymore. In the literal sense she felt that there was someone else there that this demon was something else.
She could vividly remember being able to see what she was doing. She remembered that she knew what she was doing was wrong but no matter how hard she tried to stop herself she couldn’t. Maybe this was the reason she was tormented with these dreams. Was it her subconscious punishing her for her heinous actions? Sunset looked at the horse statue as she was now close enough to touch it. She placed a hand on the face of it. A fire looking color spread across it as she touched it. This color gave her a warm welcoming feeling. This place was not her home.
“What are you doing out here?” A familiar voice sounded from behind her. Sunset really wished it wasn’t who she thought it was but when she turned around she saw it was none other than Flash himself.
“What the hell are you doing out here?” Sunset said as she angrily approached him.
“I could have sworn I had asked you that first.” Flash said as he let out a soft chuckle. “But seriously it’s freezing out here.” Flash took off his warmer jacket and held it out to her. Sunset eyes followed the jacket as it came towards her. Of course at first she was cautious to grab it. She slowly reached out taking it and putting it on.
“T-thank you flash.” She said in a soft and slightly embarrassed tone of voice.
“Oh don’t worry about it. You used to wear it all the time. You might as well keep the thing.” Flash said as he looked around. “You do realize school doesn’t start for another five hours right?” He said crossing his arms in question.
“Flash I’m leaving.” Sunset said rather bluntly. “I’m not happy here in your world anymore, I have to go.” Flash looked at her as if he was slightly surprised.
“You mean the girls haven’t been making you happy this whole time? From what I have noticed you smile a lot around them.” Flash said in mention of rainbow dash and such.
“No don’t get me wrong they have been doing a great job of helping me, it’s just not enough to ease my mind.” Sunset closed her eyes and the image of the demon flashed in her head immediately as she did. She cringed slightly at the sight. She slowly opened her eyes looking at Flash once again. “I want to stay here, just not if I am going to be plague with my past every time I close my eyes. I feel that maybe on the other end of this portal is where I am supposed to be.
“What’s so different there from here Sunset~! There are people here whom want to help you. You’re just going to leave them without a goodbye or even a thank you?” Flash sounded kind of angry now.
“Flash you have no idea what I see every time I close my eyes. I don’t feel right inside and I believe there is only one pony who can truly know what’s wrong with me.” She turned and put her hand in the portal. She could see a hoof on the other end now. This sight only made her want to lunge right in. Flash watched as if he was no longer there to convince her to change her mind. After all he was used to losing arguments with her. Sunset felt she had one thing she needed to do before she went. She turned around and gave Flash a friendly kiss on the cheek. “Maybe we will see each other again someday.” Sunset felt terrible for doing that but she felt it needed to be done. She looked at the stone statue with eyes of fascination. This portal was the whole reason she was here in the first place. She stepped in all the way and the portal began to transport her. Something was very wrong during transmission. The colorful rainbow array that was the portal was starting to turn a dark black with a mixture of Cyan. A bolt of blue electricity shot from one of the portal walls and into Sunset Shimmers chest. Sunset screamed out in pain as the whole area around her went black.
Sunset slowly opened her eyes. She had such a headache which made it incredibly hard to concentrate. She finally gained focus to see her own hooves now in front of her. A Smile immediately spread across her amber face. She jumped up into the air excitedly.
“Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.” Sunset yelled out in excitement. “I’m home, I’m finally back.” She nearly began to cry. She hadn’t felt this kind of happiness in a very long time. Sunset looked back to see the portal behind her. The glass was swirling in a black and cyan color. She was confused because last she remembered it just looked like glass. Sunset looked around to see a crystal floor around her. The portal used to be in Canterlot, which did not have crystal floors. She had read about the crystal Empire before but it did not physically exist when she was last here. So she was very confused now as well. She had no idea where she was. Then she thought back to when she had stolen the crown. Nothing had changed it was still in the same building. Then again back then she wasn’t really focused on her surroundings. She was mostly focused on getting the crown so she could have revenge on Celestia who had never let her be an alicorn. Sunset felt tears well in her eyes as she remembered what it had been like. She closed her eyes and let her tears flow. She didn’t care who heard her at this point.
“Sunset Shimmer things like this take time, I cannot make you an alicorn when you have done nothing to earn it~!” Celestia had her wings spread in aggression. “Don’t act like this, don’t be like this~!”
“You’re only scared because you know the greatness I could bring. Your scared that Equestria will no longer need you once they have me~!” Sunset had yelled at her so loud. Guard nearby were in ready position… scared that the small unicorn would attack their princess.
“Greatness is not something you would bring… You don’t understand the meaning of harmony and friendship. You would bring nothing but tyranny and disharmony. I refuse to make you what you are asking. You are not ready~!” Celestia yelled in return “Stop this Sunset before you do something you will regret~!”
“Something I will regret? You will regret your whole existence if you make this mistake. That mirror showed me what I can be. You hid its magic from me. You couldn’t even tell me you possessed something that traveled to another world. You don’t want what’s best for me you want to hinder my abilities, my greatness~!” Sunset said as her horn was glowing in an opal aura. “I demand you make me an Alicorn or I will leave my studies behind. Don’t you see what I’m going to do here? You will lose me; you will lose your last hope.” Sunset growled in anger towards her teacher.
“Then leave, I once knew a mare that would do anything to learn more. I knew a mare who felt love and affection. Clearly you are not her. So go~!” Celestia folded her wings and looked at the guards to escort her away. Sunset couldn’t let this happen; if she was escorted out she would never get what she deserved. That’s when she rushed for the portal.
“Why was I so foolish back then? I could have been something.” Sunset said as she had finally remembered the errors of her old ways. Sunset started to cry louder when she felt something wrap around her. She looked to see a white wing embracing her. She looked to see that the wing was attached to a very familiar face. This face also had tears in it.
“Sunset I n-never thought I would see you again.” Celestai said as she now wrapped both wings around the unicorn in an embracing hug. “I longed for this day, I longed for it so badly.” Celestia said as she used her wings to now wipe the young mare’s eyes of tears.
“C-celestia I am so sorry I n-never meant to cause this.” Sunset said as she buried her snout into the larger mare’s chest. “P-please forgive me I am willing to learn about friendship. P-please take me back please?” Sunset said as she was literally pleading for forgiveness and help. Celestai was slightly surprised by Sunsets demeanor. Despite all that it wasn’t going to change what she said next.
“Sunset Shimmer I am afraid it is far too late to take you back as my student, I hate to let you done but I will have to decline.” Celestia said as she let go of Sunset. Her massive wings no longer embracing her, she was now no longer emotionally helping Sunset. Something ticked deep inside Sunset upon hearing those words. Like an internal alarm clock a burst of energy left sunset. This wave was powerful enough for even none magical beings to feel it for miles. Celestia felt it strongly as it left Sunset, whom was the only one who had no idea this invisible wave of energy had just happened. The energy was so dark and clouded. The feeling of it resonated nothing but evil.
“W-why, I don’t understand.” Sunset lowered her head now. All she wanted was another chance. Celestai was still slightly stunned by the dark energy that had just left her former Student. She thought for a moment when her solution came to her.
“I will not teach you but I know the perfect princess whom can teach you about friendship.” Celestia said with a huge change in heart. Sunset lifted her head and tilted her head as she listened. “From this moment and until you are finished studying. I dub you the student of the princess of Friendship herself, Princess Twilight Sparkle. Those words hit Sunset like a train going sixty. The mare she was officially crushing on was now going to be…her teacher?
“Wait you’re going to have her teach me? Why can’t you teach me? Why are you abandoning me so easily?” Sunset began to question. She had so many questions swimming in her head now.
“If you truly wish for Change Shimmer you will take what I have offered you. You are safe with her. I failed you last time, it would be wrong for me to try again and possibly end with a similar outcome.” Celestia said in a way that seemed she believed Sunset would fail again. “Now if you will follow me I would like you to have your first meeting with your new teacher.” Celestia said as she was now walking for the door. Sunset Shimmer felt she had little to no choice but to follow the white flank of Celestia. She took a deep breath and began to walk. She was wobbly at first but quickly regained the ability to walk fluently on four legs. The moment she stepped into the hallway she was hit with rays of light entering the great hall of the crystal empires castle. The light reflected off her Amber coat allowing her to shine much like the sun itself. She was a very graceful and beautiful pony. It was one of the reasons she was so full of herself in the past. Her tail ladened with dual colors of vibrant yellow and crimson swayed back and forth as she walked.
“Celestia, where are we?” Sunset finally asked “I was here only once before, never stopped to ask where I was.” Sunset said as she found it funny to imagine a cloaked pony asking a guard where she was.
“You are in a safe place…” Celestia said as vague as ever. This made Sunset slightly agitated which was bringing her close to the internal alarm clock inside her.
“W-well alright p-princess.” She said in a cough of a voice. She felt kind of belittle right about now. She was beginning to feel how it felt to be the people she had bullied in the other world. Sunset was growing more and more nervous as she thought about seeing Twilight again. How would she react upon seeing her here? Her questions were quickly answered once they entered another room. There she stood the winged beauty that was making Sunsets mind melt slightly. She had never imagined feeling for another mare. Twilight looked back and she smiled brightly upon seeing Sunset. Her eyes showed she was worried as well. Sunset was good at reading the looks on faces. She was especially good at identifying fear and anxiety.
“Princess twilight, I would like you to meet your new student…Sunset Shimmer.” Celestia said in a soft and kind voice. Despite the kindness Sunset now felt she was being put on the spot.
