Chapter 1: Hopefully Just A One Time Thing.
For this I am going to try to best describe what happened, just keep in mind for me, they all looked realistic which made it much worse. Since most of my stories where mlp related.. Wonderful.
The dream started completely black and me laying on the ground. I thought I was still awake and my eyes just hadn’t adjusted to the dark yet. I was wrong, oh so very wrong.
I looked around what I thought to be my room, only to see the moon, surrounded by bright stars high up in the sky. I then looked to the ground, smooth rock ground that extended for what seemed like eternity in each direction. I finally decided to stand up and spotted the first of many characters I made.
The technical first one I made, A colt named Shard who had dark abilities and would kill in a heartbeat. Some said they couldn’t relate to a ‘pony’ who could grow their legs and skin back… They wanted to relate to a horse… Shard wasn’t supposed to be relatable. He was supposed to just be a test, see what I could do and stuff.
He looked to me and rolled his eyes, and then said “oh wonderful! Dave… How you been ‘buddy?’” He said grinding his sharp teeth together saying the last bit. I was caught off guard, he was referring to me as my actual name, not Clever Goblin like I made him refer to me in his story. Shard was a unicorn without a cutiemark, dark fur and and a black mane with red eyes when mad, and yellow eyes when calm.
I didn’t say anything, since in most dreams I had I didn’t speak, ever. But Shard awaited my response for what felt like five seconds before he charged his horn to strike me.
“Wait don’t please!” I screamed out raising my hands up to ‘block’ it. Even though I knew I would probably loose my hands trying to block a blast of magic. But I did it instinctively.
“And the walking pig talks, good. Now.. I have a few questions on why you decided to end my story completely with the intention of doing a sequel, but almost a year later you decide to just do a revision of it that didn’t even go well!” Shard said sounding personally offended.
“Because I just lost hope for your story. You weren’t relatable and weren’t getting much attention aside from the same people commenting on the story, not many new people came to see it Shard” I said for some reason deciding to be honest with a figment of my imagination.
“Shut the fuck up Dave! I could have been so great if you just went through with that sequel” Shard said getting right up in my face somehow, even though he was no bigger than a puppy.
“Shard just back off” Spark said blasting Shard in the back of the head sending him flying off to the left. Spark was another Character from Shards story, the “love interest” if you will. She had orange fur, a dark orange mane and tail and was a unicorn like Shard. She had a cutiemark of a book on fire and ironically had the mane style of Twilight Sparkle.
“Atleast he's bringing us back in a revisioning, so what it ain’t getting much attention now, as long as he enjoys typing it up.” The Older and Newer version of Shard said walking in from what seemed from nowhere. He made a wicked smile which revealed a mouth of sharp, blade like teeth. This Shard wasn’t so much of a killer as the younger one, but was much more savage when it comes to torturing his enemies. He thinks ahead of events while the younger one don’t.
“I personally am just excited to see how the public will react to MY story. Which will be done soon, correct…” Tahrovin said flying down and landing within a safe distance of me, he was a massive dragon who went to Equestria before it was founded, I might change it so it's not mlp related but oh well. He had black scales, rigid spikes along his head and spine, large scaly wings and four limbs not including his wings or tail. His story is called “Wings of Legend” which isn’t even done yet.
“Of course!” I said backing away from Tahrovin, which in skyrim dragon translator means Betrayal or Treachery.
“Who or what is that?” Cloud Burst said flying down beside Tahrovin and cocking her head to the right like a confused dog.
“He's our creator, Dave, and he's a human.” Tahrovin said pushing Cloud Burst towards me and she fell right onto her face. When she got back up she looked embarrassed. She just fell onto her face before her creator.
“Dave..” She said sounding both confused and amazed as she looked at me.
“Look I know you only just made me and my story Shattered Hopes and it's not doing so well. But please, please don’t abandon it please! I- I can be better, I mean if you want me to be relatable I can! If you want me to be strong- I- I can! I may just be a Pegasus but I c- c- can do it! Please don’t abandon it already!” Cloud Burst cried out getting right in my face. She was crying likely because she thought I would be deleting it prematurely.
“I won’t abandon it, don’t worry.” I said trying to comfort an imaginary pegasus I created in a story… Great. I am definitely insane right?
Chainwing appeared from again what seemed like nowhere. Looking me dead square in the eyes.
“You seriously decided to make Silver Sky attracted to me… Why!?!” Chainwing said knocking me off balance and sent me falling against the stone ground.
“Pony plus changeling equals don’t. Just don’t do it!” Chainwing said maybe intentionally referencing Shia Labeouf. Or maybe not because he rolled his insectoid eyes after saying it.
“Got it..” I said pushing the changeling off me only for him to get tackled by Silver Sky seconds after. I almost felt bad, but then I remembered I was dreaming, or I was high on drugs… Probably a mixture of both.
“Master Dave, why did you erase me before giving me a chance?” A mechanical voice chimed as a robot pegasus marched forward. I hadn’t even given the poor thing a name aside from its story. “More Than Just A Machine, it had potential. yet you erased it. Why might I ask?” The robot said helping me up.
“I didn’t completely erase it, I just… Put it on hold” I said lying. For some reason I decided to engage in conversation with these creations of mine, because a part of me believed they were real in my mind. 100% Psychopath confirmed.
“Yeah, and mine, you worked on mine over the summer yet you said “FUCK IT!” The moment you decided to make Chainwing! Heck I am even in it for a split second in one of the chapters. Yet you decide I don’t even exist now?” Hellsing said grabbing me by my throat and lifting me up off my feet. He was a diamond dog, but looked like a Husky, his story titled Predator Or Pet I had originally planned him to meet Sweetie Belle in the forest or something, but for some reason gave up.
“You're not blaming Chainwing for what happened… Right!” Silver Sky said getting right in the diamond dogs face, she was insane at times… Borderlined stalker killer over Chainwing.
“No.. I am blaming this piece of shit for not being able to juggle more than one story at a time!” The diamond dog said tightening his grip on my throat. I knew it was a dream now because I wasn’t dying due to a lack of air going to my lungs.
A blast of fire, which looked like a spell from skyrim, hit Hellsings back and he released me while letting out a painful howl running in circles like an idiot.
I looked to the direction of the firebolt, and saw Grunzah. The dark elf vampire ex-dawnguard character I made awhile back for Skyrim. He wore a burnt set of dawnguard armor that had a black handprint over the mask and chestplate.
“If anyone is to blame it's yourself...” Grunzah said reading his axe expecting a fight out of me, um no, he was a vampire dawnguard… So in other words I stand no chance.
(things got fuzzy at this part, not entirely able to recall this part of the dream fully)
Grunzah ran at Hellsing who was saying.. Something then they both got into a fight which neither won. Due to both versions of Shard separating the two by getting in the way getting chunks of their hide torn off, which quickly regenerated in a matter of seconds. I had no idea their regeneration was so quick to kick in.
Tahrovin lowered his head to Grunzah and Hellsing, and let out a blast of fire roasting each, surprisingly they were still alive… Somehow? Dream logic don’t make sense.. But still.
“Looks like I’m late to the party…” Starburst said walking up beside me. She was a changeling who looked practically like every other changeling, except she put a mess of silk on her head and called it a mane. Like how Chrysalis did.
“Wait… The fuck.. How are you here? Or is Dave just doing a self insert bullshit story.” Starburst had said almost like my mind realizing my stories are shit, and telling me just straight up.
The irony to what she said, and what I am doing right now is insane.
“No.. I went to sleep, woke up here.. So this is a dream- or nightmare depending on how you want to look at it” I said choosing my words very poorly, in speech I suck at describing most things out loud.
“Yeah definitely a nightmare.. So.. Your Dave? The maker of all of us?” Starburst said for a moment then stopped. I nodded then it looked like she was about ready to bite me.
“Few questions, what the fuck were you doing with me at first!?! First you had me in a terrible story to never see the light of day, then you had me in this gravity falls mlp crossover which was painful as all hell for me since you had my leg torn off by a god damned bear trap! Then you delete that and add me to Chainwings story for the first chapter with plans to put me in later with my very own chapter dedicated to me. Then you scrap that and put me in my own story THAT MIGHT NEVER SEE THE LIGHT!” Starburst said but stopped to take a break for air then added finally “And why did you name me after a pack of gum.”
For me this was insane, but I still answered honestly, I never heard of the pack of gum called ‘Starburst’ I honestly thought it was an original name, then I realized I was on the internet and quickly realized originality is gone. And that I couldn’t make my mind up for Starburst, but I wasn’t going to give up, it's just on the back burner for a while.
“Really.. So you haven’t abandoned me like those atrocities over there fighting blindly?”
“Nope”
“Good, just don’t screw up.” Starburst said with a smile, now this is where I wanted to rip my ears off. A god damn Flo Rida tune, out of fucking nowhere started playing. Maybe because I listen to the radio to sleep, yes.. I listen to terrible music to sleep, it's all sad songs that make me yawn anyways.
Anyway, the Flo Rida song.. What is it.. That one from the Peanuts Movie trailers, don’t care enough to search it up.
I started playing in the distance going something like “oh heeeeey, that's what I like about you” and other lyrics that made me cringe.
I actually hate Flo Rida, if you do and you're reading this, cool, you have different tastes than me, cool story bro.
“Is this what it's like to be dead..” I heard both of the Shards say in unison, like paralleled version I guess.
Then both versions of Spark, young and old said in unison “I thinks it’s kinda catchy”
“Thats.. Different… The coincidence of both saying the same thing at the same time I mean, not the song. Its.. Meh.. I heard better from Scootaloo…” Chainwing said flying by my head physically and mentally (probably) cringing.
“It could theoretically get much worse” The robot said jumping into view, Is was looking toward the sound of the song.. I wanted to find and turn it off.
“How so? Gotcha!” Silver Sky said jumping down on top of Chainwing pinning him against the ground… Yes.. She pinned him to the ground and looked about ready to… Do some things to the poor changeling, let's just say that. I turned away from Chainwing to not see whatever she was about to do, but instead looked to the robot.
“It could be playing a ‘Justin Beiber’ song, any of those songs are synthetic cancer.” The robot said making me laugh a small bit, I remembered that from Idubbbz latest unboxing video and it always made me laugh.
Tahrovin raised his head and took flight, flying to where I believed the song to be coming from, and landed. a few moments later the song ended, thankfully.
Tahrovin flew back and landed in front of me, he looked so real, and so terrifying!
“Well, you know seen all of us in one spot. Which story are you going to focus on once you publish Tahrovins, wonderful first unfinished chapter.” Cloud Burst said flying and landing on the tip of Tahrovin’s head spreading her wings out proudly.
“I don't know.. Maybe Shattered Hopes or Chainwings Adventure”
“Go with a different title for Chainwings, come on.” Starburst said hitting my back almost knocking me against the ground.
“Maybe try ‘The Thief of Philos’ trust me” Tahrovin said lowering his head quickly sending Cloud Burst hurling against the ground.
I just looked what “Philos” means, it is the love between friends.. Though Chainwing isn't a thief that might work down the line. And the moment Tahrovin said that, the dream ended and I fell out of bed and smacked my head against the floor.
This definitely was the weirdest dream I ever had. The Weirdest Dream, EVER!
