For more than ten thousand years, the God-Empress has led the Equestrian Empire in its eternal crusade to bring the long-lost colonies of the Old Empire back into its fold. She is the ruler of citizens without number and the master of countless worlds. By the might of Her inexhaustible armies, She has crushed numerous Xenos under her heel, providing safety for those that live among Her colonies. United by both fear of and faith in their undying leader, the servants of the God-Empress fight to preserve the unity of Her realm. They fight the corrupted Forces of Disharmony, the primitive Warg Hordes, the mysterious Cervine, the extragalactic Changelings, and the Confederation, a loose alliance of Xenos races united out of necessity. The God-Empress, however, has not left the Capital World, Terra, in nine thousand years. While She still leads the Empire into the future, guiding its eternal progress and the destruction of its foes, some whisper that She has grown weak during Her stay on Terra. These rumors, though unsubstantiated, are silenced by the agents of the Supernal Leagues of the Empress’s Inquisition, an organization dedicated to defending the Empire from threats that its conventional forces cannot fight alone. Despite these, peace is all but unknown to the Empire, as its crusade is unending. In the 41st Millennium, to be an Imperial citizen to be one of countless trillions. In this dark time, only one thing remains constant: War.
