You struggle to open your eyes as the sunlight beats down on your face, feeling that you're not in your bed, but on a patch of grass. That bit of knowledge made you force your eyes open wide in shock, then immediately regretting it after the sun overhead burns your retinas slightly. After your eyes readjust, you carefully viewed your surroundings; you're inside some kind of underground cave of dark gray stone with a single path forward and the only source of life you see is the grass beneath you, which appears to only be alive because of the sunlight pouring in through the hole right above you.
It only took a minute for you to realize that you somehow fell through that same hole. You try to remember how it happened, but you can't. You can't even remember your own name or who you are. Deciding that sitting around isn't going to do a thing, you get up and walk into the pathway.
As you walk, you notice a small side entrance on your right. You take a slight detour to see what's inside, and reach a dead end that has a small pedestal with what looks like three broken gems of ten shards each on top. You feel mesmerized by them, almost as if they were beckoning to you. Even though they wouldn't be worth any money, you could use these as darts to pierce any creatures that are down here.

You pick up the shards and stuff them into pants pocket, at least you have some sort of weapon now. You turn around and exit the side cavern, continuing on your previous path. You come across a fork in the road, on your left is a path alit with turquoise green crystals, on your right is a pitch black path with ominous pinkish fog.
Suddenly, you hear a voice in the left cavern! Maybe they could help you or tell you where you are. With a plan in mind, you call out, "Hello?"
Then the voice is silent. But not for long. "Who's there?" they demand, "Answer me!"
It doesn't sounds they're friendly, but you call back anyway, "Can you tell me where I am? I'm lost!"
You hear the voice scoff, "That's a joke. How does one get lost here, of all places?
"I'd answer that, if I knew where here is!"
"...Are you serious?" you didn't think the voice would be softer from confusion, "...Come to me. We must speak at once."
At first, you are skeptical, the owner of the voice seems hostile, making you consider taking your chances with the pink foggy path, then again, that fog-filled area gives you the creeps, fog isn't supposed to be pink.
What will you do?

You followed the voice into the left cavern, believing they may have answers. The crystals light up the path with no sign of darkness. You made it to the end of the path to see a disturbing sight.
A demon. No. A she -demon, with red skin, fire-like hair, turquoise irises with black sclera, long, pointy ears, large wings, red and yellow tail, and sharp claws, wearing a yellow, red, and black tattered dress and black and red high heeled boots making her appearance more frightening.
"Who are you?" the demon asks, but you are too shocked to speak, "I asked you a question!"
"I...I don't know. All I know is that I woke up here with no memory of who I am or how I got here, wherever here is."
"This is a prison for all evildoers like me."
This cave...is a prison?
But you've done nothing wrong.
You shouldn't be here.
"Tell me...is there a way out of here?" you ask her.
"No one leaves. We've all tried. But the Barrier is too strong."
You don't know what to make of all this.
"I'm Sunset She-demon, by the way. Since you didn't bother to ask me for my name."
"Oh, um, sorry."
"'Sorry'? You really shouldn't be here. They couldn't have POSSIBLY banished you...could they?"
They? "Who's 'they'?"
"Never mind. It's obvious talking to you have no benefit for me."
[CONVERSE] [DO NOTHING!] [LEAVE]

"Maybe not, but if you could tell me why you're here, maybe I could understand how you got here and it might help to get it off your chest."
"Hmph. Oh yeah? How about you take a long walk off a...short..." her insult stops cold as she notices something, "How...how did you get past the energy field...?"
You were confused, what energy field? "Um...I just...walked through it? I guess?"
"Are...are you...immune to magic...?" she asked. Her eyes brightened for a moment, then she gave a devious look, "Come closer. I wish to give you something."
Cautiously, you walk closer to her, only for her to plant her lips on yours and feel your consciousness slip away.
What will you do?

You shove her off, dig out a few gem shards from your pocket, and throw them at her. She flies to the side, dodging your attack, and flaps her wings forward towards you.

You attempt to run away, but Sunset She-demon pins you down and forces her tongue down your throat as she makes out with you, and you lose consciousness.

"And as your first act of servitude, before we leave this wretched place...make love to your mistress."

What the heck? How did you get back here? You were just being forced to make out with a demon a few minutes ago.

...And brought yourself back to life!?!
You are completely creeped out by this assumption, but press on forward anyway. You continue through the crystal lit cavern, until you stop in your tracks as you see something deadly familiar.
It's the same she-demon from before.
"Who are you?" the she-demon asks.
You remember that she brainwashed you, extinguishing your soul and free will.
What will you do?

You pull out one of your gem shards and throw it at her head, piercing through it perfectly and effectively killing her.

You leave the corpse of the demon and continue into the foggy path, seeing that there's no other way to move forward. Then, all of a sudden, you come across two miniature male versions of the demon you just killed, one blue, one orange.
What will you do?

You dig out two gem shards and sling them at the demons, striking both of them through the heart and slowly killing them.

With a nod of satisfaction, you continue forward until you see a light at the other end of the tunnel and the pink fog dissipates.

You make it to the light and see another fork in the road, but this time it's four paths; the one on the closest right is lit up with purple crystals, the cavern on the far right is covered in yellow crystals, the path on the far left is alit with blue crystals, and the one on the closest left is dark as dark can be.
Where will you go?

You chose the path furthest to the right. The crystals seem to get brighter as you press forward. Soon, you come across a girl with big, poofy orange hair, yellow skin, rose colored eyes, wearing a dark purple headband with spikes sticking out of the top, a dress and jacket combo consisting of two shades of purple, and purple boots with dark purple straps around them a yellow gem on each of them.
"Who are you!?" she asks demandingly, "How did you get here!?"
You calm yourself and answer her, "In order, I can't remember who I am, and I somehow fell in this place through a hole in the ground."
"Okay..." she looked unsure, then appeared as if she realized something, "W-Wait! How'd you get past the guards!?"
"Guards? What guards?" you ask.
She looked shocked, "There's...no guards? None whatsoever?"
"I...guess?"
She suddenly stands up, "...Then the only thing standing in my way is you. "

The girl gets ready to pounce on you, but then notices a glinting light in your pocket, "What's that?" realization flashes in her eyes, "I know that shimmer anywhere. Give it!" she leaps at you and digs her hand in your pocket, pulling out some of your shards.

She tries to put them together only to stop and glare at you, "Where's the rest? " she seethes.
It occurs to you that you used a few of those shards to defend yourself.
"I, uh...lost them?" you say sheepishly.
With newfound anger, she lunges at you.

You pull out a couple gem shards and toss them at the angry girl, they stab both her shoulders, but does nothing to faze her.

You crouch into a defensive position and prepare yourself. She leaps at you and you grab her as you roll backwards, pushing her off of you. She lands back first into a stalagmite, an unhealthy amount of gore seeping from her body.
"How dare you...you murdered me..." she curses you in a hoarse whisper.
Then it was quiet. She was gone.
You won!

You walk up to her corpse and stroke her hair, "I'm sorry."
With faltering determination, you leave the poor girl.

You made it back to the point you left off at with heavy footsteps.

You continue your now depressing journal into the cavern with purple crystals. Suddenly, a girl with light purple skin, dark purple hair with aquamarine streaks done up in pigtails, purple eyes, wearing a black dress with a green skirt, green and white striped fingerless gloves, pink and white striped tights, and dark purple sandals marked with a star and music note on each one, ran up and punched you in the face.
"I heard everything," she seethed, "you killed my sister. You're dead!"

With the misery you feel, you accept your fate, not even bothering to explain yourself. The girl stomps on every part of your body; legs, arms, stomach, head, everything. She keep stomping on you until you're marinating in your own blood. She breathes heavily as she steps over you.
"Sonata?" she calls out, "C'mon. Help me get Adagio's body so we can leave and give her a proper burial."

You find yourself back in the cavern where you killed that poor girl, her corpse is still stuck in the stalagmite. With a disturbing type of determination, you pull her body out and fashion a coffin from the rocks around cave, you lift her into the makeshift coffin and apologize once again before you pray for her.
"...Amen." you conclude.
You stand up and walk out of the girl's prison, which has now become her tomb.

After leaving, you made your way back to the point where you found the four caves.
Where will you go?

Knowing two other people could be in the crystal lit caves, you chose the path closest to the left; the dark path. The dark path feels like it goes on forever, until you see a light up ahead, naturally, you follow it, and find another crystal filled area, but these were more of a lavender color. Even so, these crystals felt...off, to you, at least.
You continued on regardless. After what feels like an eternity of walking, you come across an inner sanctum of sorts, surrounded by several of the off-feeling lavender crystals. On the other side, you see an exit, but it appears guarded by a being very similar to the demon you killed earlier.
She has purple and black flame-like hair, deep purple skin, light blue sclera with purple dots for irises, black raven-like wings, a light blue, gnarled up horn protruding from her forehead, wearing a risqué purple dress with star marks on the side, purple gloves, and purple boots with glowing light blue soles. She's on her knees, hunched over, mumbling to herself. Just seeing her like this makes you worried to even approach her.
What will you do?

You can't go back, especially after what happened with that girl, and this humanoid creature is in the way of the path forward.

You decided to get closer and make yourself known. You feel like something bad is going to happen, so you believe this your last chance to do something before you inspect the creature.

Now with that taken care of, you continue forward to the creature muttering to herself. She happens to take notice of your approach and looks up at you in shock.

"Hey beautiful." you say, admiring her body.
She scowls and looks back down, "Go away."

"Look, I'm sorry about that." you said with all the honesty you could muster, "But you really ARE beautiful. I was wondering if you move to the side so I could get by."
She shuffles a bit, "...Fine. Just leave me alone."
She stands up and moves out the way, allowing you access to the exit. You continue your trek—
"One thing."
You stop and turn back to the dark angel, who is blushing.
"Y-You really think I'm b-beautiful?"
You have a feeling that she's a little self-conscious about herself. You smile and say, "Let me put it this way: the angels from heaven above couldn't compare to you."
Her face is as red as a tomato when you leave her be and enter the path. After hours and hours of walking, going from area to area, you find something that amazes you.
The Barrier that Sunset She-demon was talking about; it was a rainbow-colored wall that blocked the outside world. You go ahead and try to pass through...
...Only to hit a solid surface.
You weren't a prisoner, so why couldn't you get through?
It was at this moment that you made a horrifying realization.
That girl.
Even though it was self defense...
You still committed murder.

You will wander forever.

You decide not to do anything. Suddenly, some unknown force pushes her off you, making her slam into the cave wall.
"H-How?" she asked, weakly.
"I don't know." you answer, simply.
"...Please...Help me escape this horrible place."
You sigh, feeling pity and guilt take over your conscience, "Okay, okay, just...give me a minute."
You look around the area you came in and notice a wall of pure energy. You try to poke it, only for your finger to go straight through it, maybe you are immune to magic, or whatever this force is.
[INSPECT] [DO NOTHING!] [LEAVE]

You can't leave. You told her you would help her. Something's nagging at the back of your mind, that a person is only as good as their word, which your conscience uses to tug at your heartstrings.

"Why are you just standing there?" she questions you, "Aren't you going to remove the energy field?"
Doing nothing doesn't really help either of you.
[INSPECT] [DO NOTHING!] [LEAVE]

You choose to inspect it further. You notice a ring of crystals lined up with the energy field. Maybe they're the power source?
"Give me a huge rock." you order.
"Huh?" she uttered, confused.
"A huge rock, gimme one."
"Um, okay."
She picks up a rock the size of your palm and puts it in your hand. You walk to the nearest crystal and smash the rock into it, causing it to crack. You keep bashing the crystal until it breaks and then do the same with the others, soon enough, the energy field flickers and fades away.
"You...You did it!" she cheers.
"Yeah...I guess I did." you say.
"But...why? I'm a monster, why would you help me?"
"I said I'd help you and I did. A person is only as good as their word."
Your words render Sunset She-demon speechless.
"Well, let's get going, there's gotta be an exit somewhere."
Sunset shakes herself out of her stupor, "Uh...right!"
[NEW PARTY MEMBER: SUNSET SHE-DEMON]
The two of you leave the crystal cell and enter the path of pink fog.
You and Sunset walk along the foggy path—the pink coloration still unnerves you—on your way to the Barrier. Then, all of a sudden, you come across two miniature male versions of Sunset She-demon, one blue, one orange.
What will you do?
[FIGHT!] [RUN!] [DO NOTHING!] [SPARE] [FLIRT]

You chose to spare them. Sunset steps forward and gives the two a piercing glare, whom of which are cowering under her gaze.
"Snips! Snails! Beat it!" she ordered.
"Y-Yes, ma'am!" they stammered and flew off.
"...Well..." you speak up, "that happened."
She sighs, "Don't worry about them, they're idiots."
You shrug, "If you say so."
You two continue onward through the pink fog filled path, seemingly going on forever.
"What's going on? It feels like we haven't gotten anywhere."
"...It's the fog." Sunset said.
"Huh?"
"It's a special kind of magic; it was designed to trap dark entities in an endless road, preventing any sort of escape."
You began to think for a moment. You knew your "ACT" screen wouldn't be much help, but you also don't have any magic to counter this trap.
Unless...
"Hold my hand."
For a red-skinned demon, Sunset certainly turned redder at your words, "W-W-What?!"
"Trust me. I know what I'm doing."
She hesitated for a half a minute longer until she finally gave in, "Alright...but no funny business!"
You smile, "Promise."
Slowly, she reaches for your hand as you reach for hers and grasp them, intertwining both of your fingers.
"Comfy?" you jokingly ask.
"S-Shut up and walk."
You chuckle a bit and move forward. As you two once again walk the path, the fog slowly began to dissipate until there was nothing left but you and Sunset.
"It worked..." she said, breathlessly, then snatched you up in a hug, "It worked!"
"What, you didn't doubt me, did you?" you slyly asked.
Sunset looked like she was caught like a deer in headlights, "W-Well...I, uh—"
You couldn't hold it in anymore and laugh out loud, "I was just joking, Sunny!" you say after you calm down.
"'Sunny'?"
"You don't mind a nickname, do you?"
"...No. I love it." she smiles, which makes you do the same.
"Alright, now that we've had our laughs, let's move on, shall we?"
"Let's."
You two continued on the now clear path, following a light glowing ahead. You calm yourself and answer her, "In order, this is Sunset She-demon, I can't remember who I am, and I somehow fell in this place through a hole in the ground."
"Okay..." she looked unsure, then appeared as if she realized something, "W-Wait! How'd you get past the guards!?"
"Guards? What guards?" you ask.
She looked shocked, "There's...no guards? None whatsoever?"
"I...guess?"
She suddenly stands up, "...Then the only thing standing in my way is you two. "
[FIGHT!] [RUN!] [DO NOTHING!] [SPARE] [FLIRT]

Sunset readies herself for a fight, but you hold your arm out in front of her.
"We're not going to fight you." you say.
"What?" the two ladies said simultaneously.
"We're trying to find the way out, and if you want, you can come with us."
The girl seems surprised at first, but recollects herself and glares at you, "How do I know that this isn't some sort of trick?"
You bring your arm inward and put a hand to your chest, "I promise. A person is only as good as their word."
She continues to glare at you, then shifts her gaze to Sunset, "It's true. He told me the same thing when he freed me."
She goes back to trying to pierce you with her glare. After a long time, she drops her guard and sighs, "Alright...but if this really is a trick, you'll pay."
You nod in acknowledgement.
"I'm Adagio, by the way, Adagio Dazzle."
[NEW PARTY MEMBER: ADAGIO DAZZLE]
The three of you left the cave and went into the one with purple crystals and found another girl; she had light purple skin, dark purple hair with aquamarine streaks done up in pigtails, purple eyes, wearing a black dress with a green skirt, green and white striped fingerless gloves, pink and white striped tights, and dark purple sandals marked with a star and music note on each one.
"Aria Blaze, get up. We're leaving." Adagio ordered.
After retrieving the girl named Aria Blaze, Adagio explained the situation to her as you all entered the other cave, getting another girl; she had light blue skin, aqua hair with dark blue streaks done up in a ponytail, rose colored eyes, wearing a pink and purple striped shirt with the shoulder straps slipped down her arms, a short, decorative tie attached to her choker, fingerless dark purple gloves, a dark purple skirt with a heart and a jagged musical note marked on the side, pink boots with purple soles, light blue straps, and purple flaps on the top.
"W-What's going on?!" she stammered cowardly.
"Shut it, Sonata," Aria spoke, "long story short, we're getting out of here, and these guys," she pointed at you and Sunset, "are helping us."
"But why?"
"Because everyone deserves a second chance." you say with complete and utter honesty.
At your words, Sonata genuinely smiles.
[NEW PARTY MEMBER: ARIA BLAZE]
[NEW PARTY MEMBER: SONATA DUSK]
As you all began to leave and enter the last cavern, you secretly pull out your "OPTIONS" screen and press SAVE.
[GAME SAVED]
"What was that?" Adagio said.
"What was what?" you feign ignorance.
"You did something just now."
You pull her close and whisper, "Look, I can't really explain it right now, but I will at some point, okay?"
She looks skeptical, but accepts your reasoning, "...Alright then. You promise you'll tell me later?"
"Adagio, I promise I'll tell EVERYONE later, they deserve to know, too, but not now."
She nods and the two of you catch up to the others, who have gotten ahead of you as you chatted with Adagio.
