//-------------------------------------------------------// The Rose Who Could Only Bloom in the Storm -by kimber2000- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: How the Rose Found Her Direction //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: How the Rose Found Her Direction "You do realize what this will mean, Miss Rose?" The charcoal coated mare blinks to the stallion's tone, looking up. Her deep blue braid rested at her side, her bangs hiding her hurt gaze. Today hadn't been her best day...Why hadn't she told the stallion yes before? Maybe he would of made it, rather than letting the bloody darkness eat away at him. She gave no answer, her eyes landing on the desk again. The two of them sat in a simple silence for a good moment. At the moment, they were both a bit beat up. It had been a long day for most of the guard members, seeing how they had fought off a decent villain for that day. Their armor was both dented and beaten in. Maybe they could be fitted for new armor later after this. The stallion lifts a brow, before giving a soft sigh. She wasn't going to speak was she? No, she'd just let it bottle up into a simply furious rage. And once that happened, she'd storm into the office going all out. Or she'd keep sighing. She was always sighing on anything really. It was rare to see her give a smile or a laugh anymore. Maybe this rose had wilted? Or maybe it had taken a separate path and lost it's sense of direction? He shuts his eyes silently, "We'll have to transfer you..It's too much of a risk to leave you here after the whole 'story' complication. Most of the ponies are frustrated and I believe you'll need some training down there as well. I know of a pony who can help you. He's...unique, but can get the job done when he needs to." Sure he could...When he wasn't busy being an idiot and doing random things around the town. Last week, he had found out about him nearly blowing up SugarCube Corner, because he was trying to find somepony who had been hiding in there. Sure...He had caught a criminal, but that was besides the point. The mare's eyes widen as she glances up with her sky blue eyes again. Transfer? But where to? She had grown up here! Would she even be accepted at all? Well...Did it matter? To be truthful, she often shut herself off from the others. She was simply used to being alone. "It will be until we can sort this all out...I know how you are with changes, but it won't be too bad. Besides, you've been hiding away yourself." She gives an angered snort, glaring at him. 'Hiding away'? Had he forgotten how close they had been before he had met the pink princess? She knew him even better than that frilly alicorn! Heck, she could name off every single little thing about him. First off, he wasn't getting anywhere with his 'act'. He frowns, watching her. Right...She didn't have the best outlook on him. It was probably due to the fact of how mares were treated with the profession she had. "Not like that...Anyway, I think I know just the place. My little Twiley lives down there. You remember her, right? I used to always bring her up here years before to show her what I did, though she always had her nose in a book?" He grins softly. She frowns, her brows furrowing. Wait...That small town? She had never been, but she had heard of it before. It was the one always being attacked with something! It was the one with the never ending smiles! Was he talking about Ponyv- "Ponyville!" He widely grins, clearly loving the place though he had never stayed for a full visit. His sister seemed to enjoy it at this point, so why wouldn't it help this mare? It had made his sister smile and open up, so why not the same for her? And just when she thought her day couldn't get any worse...It got worse. She sighs, glaring at him lightly. And she didn't have a choice...Did she? "And no, you don't. I expect you ready to go before dawn tomorrow." She simply sighs, forcing a smile. To be honest, she looked like they were forcing her to eat a bag of manure. Lovely.
