Foal of Loyal Kindness

The girls had quickly rushed Fluttershy to the hospital. When they got there, Rainbow helped Fluttershy onto a portal bed, and she was carted away by several doctors, with Rainbow following right behind, leaving the others to sit in the waiting room.

"Oh my gosh! I hope she okay!" Pinkie said in her normal, cheerful voice, but now it had worry mixed in.

"I'm just surprised, she should have had at least two more weeks!" Twilight said.

        "No kidding!" Rarity added. The girls suddenly heard high pitched screams coming from behind the door Fluttershy had been rolled through.

"What is going on?!" Applejack asked, her tone and expression nothing but worry.

Fluttershy was rolled through a set of double doors, her breathing had intensified by at least fifty percent since she had started going into labor. "Your going to be fine sweetie." Rainbow assured her. When they got to their room, Rainbow was forced to wait outside, while it took place. The only time she had really gotten concerned when Fluttershy started screaming, until about ten minutes later, the screaming ceased. "Is she okay doctor?" Rainbow asked, jumping from her chair.

"Oh she's fine, she has given birth to a healthy baby girl. You may go on in to see them."

"THANK YOU!" Rainbow replied as she dashed into the room to see Fluttershy, who was holding a yellow pegasus.

"Hey Dashie." She said quietly, then motioning for her to trot over.

"Your mane's a mess, hehe." Rainbow said looking down at the baby, her baby.

"Isn't she adorable? Look, she has your eyes!" The baby had a yellow coat, a rose-pink mane with cyan-blue highlights, as well as pink eyes.

"What did you name her?" Rainbow asked.

"Well, I know her last name has to be Dash, but I was thinking her first could be Melody, I was gonna let you pick the middle name."

"Okay then, Daring."

"Daring? Okay, Melody Daring Dash it is then!" Fluttershy said happily. The two continued to have light conversation, as well as talking to the small filly Fluttershy had laying in her arms; Suddenly, Nurse Redheart walked into the room.

"So, have you two decided on a name then?"

"Yes, Melody Daring Dash." Fluttershy said softly.

"Beautiful name! I've checked with the doctor you'll be able to leave in a few hours! Your fillybirth was the quickest and most successful one we've seen in years!" Nurse Redheart said sweetly, as she once again closed the door.

Several hours later, Fluttershy was transferred to a wheel chair with their baby, and Rainbow pushed it out the door, to where their friends were."Fluttershy you alright? Ya'll been back there forever!" Applejack said worried.

"Yeah, we were worried sick, AWWW!!" Pinkie started by stopped as her gaze hit the baby in her arms.

"Isn't she just PRECIOUS!?" Rarity added.

"What's her name?" Twilight asked.

"Well, it's a little different, since we combined ideas, but her name is Melody Daring Dash." Rainbow said proudly.

"Aw, what a pretty name!" Applejack said.

"Thanks! Now, should we head back to our house to settle Melody in?" Fluttershy asked.

"Defiantly!" Rainbow said as she began pushing the wheelchair out of the hospital toward the cottage of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.

When the girls arrived at the cottage, Fluttershy handed Rarity the foal, and Had Twilight and Rainbow help her to the sofa."Wow, I didn't think this would happen today." Fluttershy said laughing.

"Yeah, well if you need AANNNYYYY help WHAT SO EVER! Then you call us up and we'll help you with little Melody here!" Pinkie said, giving Fluttershy a hug.

"Yes most defiantly! We don't want you two to have more trouble than you can handle, we are all here for you!" Twilight said.

"Thanks guys!" Rainbow said, they all then said their farewells and allowed the two pegasi to be alone with their new baby.

"Alright, like I told you the day we got back home, I want to give this foal the best darn parents ever!" Rainbow said remembering the commitment she had made almost half a year ago.

"And I want no abuse to her from either of us! The only discipline I allow is talking and grounding and stuff nothing else!" The two then placed Melody in her crib and watched her doze off into the world of sleeping and dreaming.
