Spike laid there in his little basket that he had grown so accustomed to whenever he needed rest or a quite place to relax, but this time he was any but relaxed. This time he was crying his eyes to the point where even dragon fire could not slow the tide of tears.
"Why WHY WHY?" Spike shouted between both tears and hiccups of breath.
He had it all planned out, yesterday he would do extra chores for Twilight giving him move free time today, in the morning he would do the remaining chores at quickly as possible and then proceed to have a shower despite his hate for them. when lunch time roles around he would be at Rarity's doing lots of special jobs for to get her attention, and in the evening he would complete the final part of his plan and ask Rarity out but...
"IT'S JUST NOT FA-I-I-R!"
Rarity did not reject Spike nor did Spike let his nerves get the better of him and shy away like Fluttershy but it seems that the young drake was too late. As he made his way to the Carousal Boutique, blue diamonds molded into the shape of Rarity's cutiemark in tow, he heard the sound of both a rich ladylike giggle and a deep sophisticated chuckle inside. Curiosity grasping him in its snare, Spike decide to peek through the window to see what was going on and what he saw broke his heart. Inside Rarity was kissing a tall, handsome, muscular, handsome, noble looking stallion that was so handsome looking it would give Spike wobbly knees of his heart wasn't already broken. At this sight he ran home and into the possible comfort of bed.
"WAAAH WAAAH" Spike continued to cry without show any signs of stopping for a 10 minuets now and Twilight, through her expert opinion, deiced that this is something that Spike couldn't handle alone. She knocked on the door despite being the only door into her room as well and waited for an answer however the only answer she got was slightly quieter sobbing.2
"Spike" Twilight said in her motherly voice she used when her little drake was upset, "Whats wrong? You can tell me."
After a few more minuets of sobbing and deep breathes Spike said "It - It's Rarity"
"Oh Spike I know that you must feel terrible about being rejec-"
"S-she didn't reject me, she was with another stallion."
Twilight went to reply but decide to hold her tongue as she she had a hunch he had more to say, and that he did.
"He was tall and handsome and big but not to big muscles and he was handsome and i think he had some noble roots that made him look even MORE handsome, and then there's me, poor little UGLY me!"
Twilight could sense that Spike was distressed and could start crying any second now so she decided to do something that always cheered them both up.
"Spike, Would you like to hear a story?"
"[SNIFFLE]OK[SNIFFLE]"
"This story is called 'The ugly drake'"
"I haven't this story before" Spike muttered with some what curiosity.
"Once there was an ugly drake..."
Spike sat up and began to lean in with anticipation at where the story was heading.
"He was so ugly that everyone died. The End." With her story now finished and a large smile smile on her face Twilight turned and left the room shutting the door behind her.
Spike continued to sit for what seemed like an eternity to him processing what he just heard, and as the coo-coo clock ticked on he realized
"That didn't help at all."
A few months later by which I mean more than a couple meaning two but less half a dozen which means six. I guess what i'm saying is that I need this chapter to be at least 350 so that I can publish the story about 4 to 5 months later Spike had eventually overcome the situation of not having Rarity. It seems that the solution was very easy to find as all he had to do was be normal all day long, do chores around the tree house, eat gems, take naps, play games and overall just be himself. And at night he would just cry himself to sleep quietly as to not disturb anyone, you see nice a nice and simple solution for a nice and simple drake.
On this most divine Tuesday morning Celestia's Sun was soaring high in the sky giving off an excessively large amount of heat due to flooding at the crystal empire. Nopony expects the Spanish Inquisition knows how all the snow and ice had melted around the literally shinning city some say it is one of Discords jokes, others believe that it is a sign of Sombra's return but a large majority think that it was caused by the newest member of the royal family and her magical alicorn powers. To make matters worst today's weather focused is stated to be only mildly cloudy allowing the suns rays full access to the ground below. Even a cold blooded drake such as Spike could tell when things were to hot and today definitely was!
Of in the distance was the city of Cloudsdale home to both the Wonderbolts and the Weather Factory, where rain clouds snow and rainbows are made. Due to the sabotage last winter committed by Rainbow Dash the snow room had to be completely rebuilt and restocked for winter. It took many months since the rooms destruction but it was finally fully repaired and in working conditions. All that was left was the most delicate and rarest objects - the ice crystal, a gem named after it abilities to make ice crystals. The pony in charge of its delivery was one Derpy Hooves, and even though she was only chosen because all the other delivers were injured in a freak piano falling accident, she will get the job done... And everything blow up "Oops, my bad" was the last thing the snow room employees heard before they were knocked out but snowplosion.
Back at a now snow covered Ponyvile in the middle of summer due to a freak accident. With the unexpected snow schools and work had to close down for the day giving everypony of all ages a chance to have fun. Spike decided to playing cowcolts with Pinkie Pie for reasons unexplained and it had finally reached the point of the game where they would name there characters.
"I'M DIRTY-DAN!" exclaimed both of them at the same time. In response to this Pinkie pulled out a snow-canon and fired a snow-truck at him
"Alright Pinhead, your time is up." she said in an awful impression of a Texas accent.
Spike, in response, stood up and looked her straight in the eyes and said "Who you calling Pinhead" ironically the snow-canon hit his head thus it into the shape of a pin!
