Short Story - Underworld Surprise!

Pixel looked upon the deep blue sky of Ponyville, admiring the view of Cloudsdale and the other clouds, forming the shapes of objects that Pixel recognized. Pixel was a Earth-Pony with a white coat, and a white and black mane. The white stallion was awaiting Winter, a Pegasus white a light blue mane and different color eyes, one baby blue and one dark blue. The two stallions were DJ's together, well, Pixel was in his spare time. Pixel's main job is working at Quills and Sofa's. Winter finally arrived.

“Took you long enough.” Pixel said, smiling.

“Sorry,” Winter said, pulling down his scarf from his muzzle, “Just a bit of traffic, that's all.”

“Fair enough, got the equipment?” Replied Pixel.

“Yuppers,” Winter pointed to the van, which had several DJ decks in the back.

“Right, then let's go!” Pixel trotted towards the van, hopped inside, accompanied by Winter.

The three (Including the Axe Fret, who plays the guitar, as the other two cannot play the guitar to save their lives.) drove out of Ponyville, destination: Manehatten. Where all the big stars used to play, like: Jimi Manerix, or SlipPony (Whom Pixel adored.). They were half-way towards Manehatten when suddenly the van lurched, the stopped. Axe got out to check the van's engine.

Then, the earth started to shake, and the ground cracked like something was ripping it open. Fire burst out of the crack, the trio looked over, startled by the sudden tremor. A claw then emerged from the crack, which looked like it belonged to something big, and scary. Then an arm followed that claw, then a body and a head. In fact, three heads followed. It was Cerberus, guardian of the under-world. Where Hades, King of the Under-World lived, what was his mongrel doing here?

Pixel quickly pushed himself and Winter out, and Axe jumped to the other side, when Cerberus slammed his gigantic paw on the truck.

“NOOO! You filthy Mutt! You destroyed my new Decks!” Screamed Winter.

“Winter, now is not the time to be worrying about our decks, we gotta worry about our LIVES.” Pixel shouted.

Dust, smoke and wind engulfed the deserted desert, Pixel, Winter and Axe quickly laid down to hide themselves from the beast.

An hour had past, and the beast was gone, obviously heading somewhere, but where? The trio got up and looked at Cerberus' giant paw tracks. They leading towards Las Pegasus, a place where Ponies went to unwind and relax, or play poker and order alcohol.

“Guys, I think we may have to go to Las Pegasus.” Moaned Axe.

“Why?!” Exclaimed Pixel and Winter together.

“Well, we're the only ones that know about it, and we have to tell somepony about this... This monster.” Replied Axe, sighing

Pixel and Winter looked at each other, stuck between what to say, “Hell no!” or “Fine, at least it'll help somepony..”. But, you see, Pixel and defiantly Winter are terrible at decisions.

“Fine, I'll fly, and Axe, you teleport your way to Las Pegasus, Pixel, you gallop, you're fast.”

“Okay then.” Said Axe, as he teleported his way towards the poker city.

Pixel sighed, “Fine...” and he was off.

Then Winter spread his wings and took to the sky, this trip was taking a turn for the worse...

When the trio had arrived at Las Pegasus, they could tell they had gotten there before Cerberus, as nothing was destroyed or on fire. They quickly found the Mayor of Las Pegasus, Talon Gray-Clay, and told him their grave news.

“Talon, we need to tell you som- Wait, Talon?! From Flight Academy?” Exclaimed Winter.

“Who wants to know?” Replied Talon.

“Oh, you now, Winter E. Blaze! Your ol' pal from Flight Academy!” Said Winter.

“Wait.. Winter?! Is it really you?” Exclaimed Talon.

“Of course, so what have you been up to lately?” Asked Winter.

“Nothing really, yo-” Began Talon.

“Sorry to break up your little chit chat, but let me remind you why we're here?” Interrupted Axe Fret.

“Hmm..? Oh yeah! Talon, there is a 20 ft. tall three headed dog heading this way. Goes by the name of Cerberus?” Winter said.

“Cerberus? Heading this way? That's ludicrous, Cerberus doesn't exist.... Does he?” Asked Talon, scratching the back of his head with his claw.

“He does exist, we saw him with our own eyes.” Pixel stated.

“If you say so-” Talon began, again.
Cutting of Talon's little speech, a sudden roar and a giant rock landed not 10 feet away from the group. Talon squawked, as Griffin's do, and the other's where frozen. Cerberus smashed through one of the building like it was made of of glass. The beast turned his heads towards the gang, eyes taking in the details of them, recognizing Pixel, Axe and Winter. Next thing Winter saw was a big pile of rock hit him square in the muzzle.

Winter had awoken two weeks later, head concussed still. Winter tried to speak to Dawn, a small-ish mare with short purple hair and wonderful eyes, his marefriend, who was sitting at his side, but no sound came out. He turned his head towards Pixel and his marefriend, Cookie, a tall mare with long red hair and a blue coat. Talon and Axe seemed to be missing, but for now, he was worried about his voice.

“You feeling better, honey?” Dawn asked, softly.
Winter mumbled something, but Dawn couldn't make it out.

“I don't think he can speak for the meanwhile...” Pixel suggested.

Dawn sighed, “Okay then, hope you feel better dear.” Then she kissed his forehead and had to leave, as did Pixel and Cookie.

Meanwhile, Axe Fret and Talon were going after Cerberus, who had completely, single handedly, or should I say, single paw-edly, destroyed most of Las Pegasus, and was now heading for Ponyville, which was never good.

CHAPTER II

Bread Sticks and Magic

Twilight Sparkle is a purple Unicorn that absolutely loves books, she is also the student of none other than Princess Celestia. Spike, a purple and green baby dragon, ran up to her, bearing grave news.

“Twilight! There's a Unicorn and a Griffin outside saying Cerberus is heading this way!” Spike proclaimed.

“Wait, what? Cerberus is attacking again?? How strange, I shall go outside and talk to them...” Replied Twilight, trotting down the stairs towards the door.

Twilight opened the door to Talon and Axe Fret, she then squealed like an excited fan girl.

“You're Axe Fret! The famous guitarist from Canterlot! Please sign your Autobiography please!”

“O-oh, um.. Later, but for now, we need to talk about Cerberus.” Replied Axe Fret.

“Hm? Oh yes, please tell.” Twilight responded, calmly this time.
Axe Fret then continued to tell Twilight about how they had seen Cerberus erupt from the ground, then completely destroy Las Pegasus, and now it's heading towards Ponyville.

Twilight looked awestruck, “Oh my Faust, we must ready ourselves! After all, we have stopped him before...”

Meanwhile, back in the crack in the desert, Hades himself, arises from the fires. Hades is an Alicorn with a blacky bluey flame mane, and a sleek black coat. His cutie mark is a flaming skull, and using his magic from his Unicorn horn, he was eating a break stick.

Hades heaved heavily, “That's the last time I entrust Pain and Panic to walk Cerberus... Now I have to look for my three-headed mongrel and take him back to the Under-World so Cerby can feast on Pain and Panic's demon flesh...”

Hades proceeded to fly towards Ponyville, using his Pegasus wings. Before long, Hades had arrived at Ponyville, and knock on Twilight's door.

Twilight opened the door with a scared screech.

“Hello, sorry for the interruption I may have caused, but have you, by any chance, seen my dog? He's about 26 ft 13 inches tall, and has three heads, responds to the name, 'Cerberus'. Have you seen him?”

Twilight says, barely, “N-n-n-n-no, Mr. Hades, but h-h-he is heading this w-way...”

“Ah, thank you very much, Miss Sparkle, thanks for co-operating so well.” Hades smiled then trotted in the direction of where Cerberus was coming from.

Twilight closed the door, turned around to Talon, Axe and Spike, mouth wide open, speechless.

“What is it?” Spike asked.

“I-it was Hades he's gone to catch his dog...” Twilight said, finally finding her voice again.

Hades was on the out-skirts of Ponyville, still eating his Break Stick, when he saw his dog in the distance, he waited for his dog. When the dog eventually got nearer, Hades lifted up his hoof, hovering in the air, and used his Alicorn magic to stop Cerberus in his tracks. Hades then made another crack in the ground and trotted down it, Cerberus followed him.

Meanwhile, outside the Las Pegasus hospital, Winter, Dawn, Pixel and Cookie all were trotting towards their van, given to them by a young rich couple. After they had all belted up, Dawn drove them to Ponyville, they arrived at Ponyville around 17:36pm, just in time for Dinner, or supper.

Mayor Mare had been told of what had happened at Las Pegasus from Talon, and Mayor had decided to make a big outdoors dinner party. Everypony, and Talon, had come, including Pixel, Cookie , Winter, Dawn, and Axe Fret. Even Celestia and Luna had come for the event, they all ate Grass Sandwiches and soup and the sort. Eventually, everypony had left to go back home, or in Berry Punch's case, the bar.

And they all lived happily ever after.... Apart from Pain and Panic, they almost got eaten by Cerberus.
