You're driving home from a stressful day of work.Spending time on a computer all day in a cubicle is not your definition of fun.It was dark out,and most people weren't awake.You decided to drive slow and enjoy the ride.You keep your eyes on the road,animals like to come out around this time,and you didn't want to run any over.
Your ADD decided to kick in,and you see a box on the side of the road.You decide to look at it,out of pure curiosity.It couldn't be that bad could it?
"This is the day I die,I guess..."You get out of the car,and tip-toe over to the box.
You see a yellow pony,with a pink mane.
"How did a pony fit in a box,and why does it have a tramp stamp?"You must be too tired.This couldn't be real!
Its round,blue eyes looked up at you in fright from the sudden noise.It wobbled its,lanky,legs,to stand up,and tried to sniff you.
You put your hand up to its muzzle,it sniffs you for a moment...and it jumps on you,with a happy look on its face,wagging its tail.
"How is a pony on top of me,and not crushing my bones!?"You try to pick it up,so it'll get off of you."It's a girl....it doesn't really look like a boy,but I'm not feminine...don't judge."
"What does that mean?"
You feel a bead of sweat going down your face.This pony just talked to you!
"You-I.....this is creepy,and cool at the same time!"You put the pony in your car."You're going home with me!"
"Nopony has ever offered me a home before!"
"You mean nobody,or no-one"
"Nopony."
"I'll have to teach you how we talk here....what's your name?"
"Fluttershy."
15 minutes later...
You make it to your apartment,and go up to the third floor.You stop when Fluttershy tries to talk to you.
"That thingy called a 'my car' is nice.It blows cool air at your face!"
"It's called 'a car'.
You unlock the door,your pug comes running up to you,and Fluttershy.
"Hey Edgar!"You rubbed his creme colored fur.Then he turned towards Fluttershy,sniffing her frantically.
"What is he doing?"
"He's licking you.That means he likes you!"
"Edgar!Stop!"Edgar paused,looked at you,and sat down.
"How did you do that!?"
"Just tell him to stop,and he stops!"
Fluttershy began to walk around,on the wooden floors.Then to the sliding glass window.
"What's this?"
"A balcony."
She tried to walk out,but she slammed into the glass.You chuckled at this.
"You okay?"She shakes herself off,and nods at you."
"I'm hungry.Do you have wild flower sandwiches?"
"The hell?"You mutter under your breath.You clear your throat,hoping she didn't hear that."Um....I have ham..."
Her face turned green.Just then,you remembered that horses are herbivores.
"I-I mean...um...I can make you a salad!"
"That sounds delicious!"She makes her way to the table."We have tables like this where I live!"
You assumed she wasn't a mature pony.She acted like she wasn't,and she didn't have long hair.
"How old are you?"You looked at her whilst you cut a head of lettuce."
"Nine months."You assumed she'd be six or seven in human years."
"Are you old enough to have a tattoo in your world?"
"That's not a tattoo!It's a cutie mark!Mine means I'm nice to animals."
"Why didn't you know what Edgar was doing?"
"We don't have lots of nice dogs where I live..."
You set a bowl of salad in front of her.You decide to let her eat while you watch T.V.
You see a show called 'My Little Pony'.You've heard of it growing up,but you didn't know much about it.What with so much on your mind you forgot about it.You decide to watch it,and see how much it changed.
"My little pony,my little pony..."
You sit their with a confused face.You're about to change it,until Fluttershy comes up to the couch.
"Those are some of my friends!I don't know the purple one though...."
"You know them!?"
"Yeah!"She pointed her hoof at each pony."Rainbow Dash,Pinkie Pie,Rarity,and Apple Jack!"
"Hmm...no wonder you don't look like a real horse...."
"In my world,we all look like that!"She pointed at the T.V.again.
"But for some reason they look like my friends in the future..."
You change the channel to 'Family Guy',and open up a can of soda.One of the characters says a cuss word.
"What does that mean?"
"It's a bad word,and you shouldn't say it."
"The only bad word I know is-"She pauses and looks around,then whispers in your ear"What the hay."She backs up and quickly says"Don'ttellanyponyIsaidthat!"She had a large blush on her face
You quietly laugh,and put your hand on your face."Don't worry,I won't."Your voice was muffled.
You watch the show for about 30 more minutes,and you start to feel even drowsier.(Probably from the soda).
Suddenly,Fluttershy lay down,laying her head on top of her hoofs.
"Dang that's cute."You whisper to yourself.You get up,and get a blanket.You gently wrap it over the already sleeping pony.
You walk over to your bedroom,and,as usual,Edgar follows you.You go to your bathroom,and take a quick shower.Then you hop in bed,along with Edgar.
Then it dawns on you.You can't keep this pony after tomorrow!You have work!Your local kennels don't take in ponies!There was only one option left:She has to be put up for adoption.You decide not to tell her until tomorrow.You know seeing a pony as cute as her cry would crush your heart.You drift off to sleep,trying to take your mind off of what you had to do tomorrow.
