Hey there, my name is Scorpio, I am 6'3" with Jet black hair going down to the bottom of my shoulder blades but braided, and pale skin, I have violet eyes and I am naturally nocturnal, I have had extensive combat training from my dad who was in a black ops team while he was in the USMC. I am a sharpshooter and can practically snipe with a pistol. So I guess you guys are going to be joining me for the foreseeable future of my life. Well lets go.
So I was sitting in my dorm room after a parkour trip in St. Paul, I'm wearing my shadow camo ACU pants, my black athletic pants that go under the ACU pants, my black skin tight sports shirt, a shadow camo hoodie, a shadow camo ACU jacket, and black tactical combat boots built for stealth. I have replaced the velcro on my ACUs with buttons so that it doesn't make me noisy as hell. I also have a steel backpack I created specifically for parkour so that it has a soft back to it but a hard steel case for the front. I have a first aid kit in it, a windproof lighter, a Glock 17 pistol with 2 spare mags, 1 Ka-Bar, and a change of the same clothes. I have 3 Ka-Bars on me in various places, a CZ 75 B pistol in a shoulder holster and a Glock 40 on the other shoulder. I have three spare mags for both. I also have a full 50 count throwing knife belt diagonal across my chest, and a set of Legolas style hunting knifes made of titanium and steel, both strapped to my thighs.
I walked out of the dorm and took a deep breath of the cool night air of Minnesota in October. I live in Marshal, MN for college at SMSU, I'm a Junior and my older brother Nathan is a senior and getting a math degree, while I'm still deciding what to major in. It's a small town, not much of anything and it still smells weird to me, but my brother says you get used to it. I sit down on a bench after wandering for a bit, and look up at the moon. I have always had this strange fascination with the moon, my parents say it's because I'm nocturnal that it makes sense for me to be attached to the moon. I think back to the meeting for the club I started last month, its the only reason I'm allowed to have my weapons in my dorm room, the club is a self defense and combat club so we get to keep our weapons, however the Dean doesn't know about the guns and I plan to keep it that way. I realize that's not something that normally happens but my family knows the Dean of the college, so he allowed it after seeing me and my brother spar. So I was sitting on the bench when I heard a voice.
"Whats this? A young one out in the light of our prison?"
"Who's there?" I called out
"I are the being that resides in the moon. I am Nightmare Moon." Nightmare Moon said
I looked up at the moon and could see that there was no longer a face in the moon but instead what looks like a unicorn head is there, I started to think about what this could mean.
"What are you thinking about young one?"
"Why did you call the moon your prison?"
"My sister banished me to the moon on my world, but my time to return is almost upon me."
"How long have you been in the moon?"
"I have been in here for 999 years, and 359 days"
"Why are you in your prison?"
"I am in a war with my sister, and I fear I may not survive our next encounter."
I thought about this for a moment, should I offer my help or not. On one hand I have my family, but they never did care all that much about me and Nathan always told me I was the kind of person to help someone in need. And on the other hand I have the fact that her life is in danger of being extinguished. I thought about it for a few more minutes, then I finally said something.
"Well in that case I offer you my aid so that you might survive this next encounter."
She sounded shocked when she responded "Are you sure?"
"Yes." I responded without a moments hesitation
"Then prepare yourself, this will hurt"
I started to feel my body being ripped into trillions of tiny pieces . I could only scream at the pain I was feeling. It felt as if all of my nerves were being lit on fire while I was being torn apart and put back together in another place. New knowledge started to pour into my brain of a world I had never seen of before. The land of Equestria calls it Equus, but the other countries and creatures all have their own names for it, but above all else it is their home. I can see a kingdom in the north of Equestria called the Crystal Empire, it is an empire ruled by a beautiful woman with dark gray fur, a curved horn, a long jet black mane and tail, she radiated power and magic. I started thinking to myself that at some point in time I will need to visit this empire but that will have to wait until after the I deal with the problem of Nightmare Moon and her sister wanting to kill each other.
When I started to wake up, I opened my eyes to see stars, billions upon billions of stars. I sit up and looked around only to find myself looking at the cratered surface of the moon. I look to the left and see a planet that looked similar to Earth but the continents are different, it takes me a moment to realize I am looking at Equus. I started to wonder how I'm still alive on the moon without a space suit or something like that , when I heard a sound to my right, wait a second... sound? I'm in space I shouldn't be able to hear anything.
"Does it not look beautiful?"
I look to the right and take in the sight of a woman with pitch black fur, teal eyes with reptilian slit pupils, black feathered wings and a long black horn, her mane and tail are blue, and have this ethereal look to them with stars inside them, she is wearing black battle armor that has white dots like stars on it, there is what looks like an ink blot with a crescent moon on the left of the chest plate, she is fairly attractive. Like the gray woman I had seen in my earlier vision she radiated power and magic, but there is something else underneath it. A certain feeling of evil. I will need to watch out for that.
"Yes, it is beautiful" I say. And I am telling the truth, it is beautiful.
"you were out for several days, there is mere minutes till our return. I will place you at my old castle in case we need to retreat there."
"Alright"
"You should know that the process of bringing you here has given your body channels for magic, maybe you should practice while waiting for us"
This shocked me, but I could only nod in response. I could feel this twisting and pulling feeling in my gut and unlike earlier this transportation is like falling through a tunnel. I start to wake up and noticed I am on the floor of an old crumbling castle, when I got into a sitting position I tried to look at my surroundings. I look to the left and see that the walls are crumbling and moss is growing on them, there is a tapestry with a man and woman, the man is wearing a crown made of suns forged into the metal and the woman is wearing a crown with the cosmos and galaxies forged into it. I then look to the right and see that the wall was completely gone, what I can see beyond is a vast forest not unlike the ones on earth.
To the front of me is a raised dais with two thrones on it, these were either the thrones of the couple in the tapestry or it was the thrones of Nightmare Moon and her sister. I started to walk over to the thrones to inspect them, the throne on the left is gold and silver with suns of all colors in strategic locations all over it. The throne on the right is black and silver with moons and galaxies seemingly placed at random, but if I look close enough they are in an interesting pattern. I take off my backpack an set it down in between the thrones, then I proceeded to take off my ACU jacket and drape it over the back of the throne on the right. I walk to the front of the throne on the right that I think I will call the 'Cosmic Throne' and sit down, and start to meditate, I focused on finding these magic channels that Nightmare spoke of. I thought about magic for a few minutes and realized that it is the manipulation of the bodies energy through a focus point. Now usually the focus point for a human using magic would be a wand or a staff, but if I focus it through the bone in one of my fingers I could theoretically use that as a focus.
I wonder what I should try to do? Maybe levitation? No, too cliche... Oh I know! I started focusing the energy inside myself through the bones in my index finger and point at a pile of rubble in the corner. Okay now I just have to focus and... I open my eyes in time to see a column of destructive fire fly out from my finger and start to burn away at the moss on the rubble, I could feel the energy leaving through my finger. I focused and cut off the energy going to my finger and condensed it into a sphere in my core, when I look back up I'm surprised to see that the flames are still burning and that they are melting the rubble. I figured that I should probably try to put it out, so once again I focused the energy and instead of thinking about fire, I start thinking about water this time instead of fire. I look at the rubble and will the magic to respond to my will, and water shoots out from my finger and extinguishes the flames.
TWO HOURS LATER
After a fair amount of practice I feel that I have a fairly good grasp on the Flame, Water, Fireball, Ice, and Levitation spells, the hardest one to figure out was the Ice spell. I was startled out of my thoughts when I heard the sound of running, I look up and see Nightmare teleport in while the door that I hadn't even noticed burst open. Through the door run in six girls, going from left to right; there is a pink furred girl with blue eyes, wearing a pink and blue swirl t-shirt, a pink skirt with a mark of three balloons on it, she is about 5'6", she is wearing blue stockings and shoes, her mane and tail are really curly and kinda bouncy as well as pink. The next one has a kinda orange fur, teal/green eyes, she is about 5'9",she is wearing a tan stetson hat, cowboy pants, cowboy boots, a leather vest over a red flannel, and her blond mane is tied in a ponytail and her tail is the same, she has a mark of three apples on her pants. The next has pure white fur, blue eyes, a white horn, and a curled purple mane and tail, she is wearing heels and I'm not sure how she ran in those without breaking a foot, as well as a pure white sundress, she is around 5'5" without the heels on. Next is a girl with lavender fur, a dark purple mane and tail with a pink stripe through the middle of both, a lavender horn, and violet eyes, she is 5'9", she is wearing a black tank top, black and green striped stockings, a black knee length skirt, black and green tennis shoes that look suspiciously like chucks from my world, and black and green striped fingerless gloves that go just past her elbows she has a mark of a large pinkish purple star surrounded by five smaller white stars on her skirt. Next is a yellow furred girl with a pink mane and tail, yellow feathered wings, and sky blue eyes, she is 5'2" she is wearing a golden sweater with slits in the back for her wings, green pants, and brown tennis shoes, she has a mark of three butterflies on her pants. The last girl has cyan fur, magenta eyes, a rainbow mane and tail, cyan feathered wings, she is 5'7" she is wearing a black sports bra, black athletic shorts, and black running shoes, she has a mark of a white cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt coming out of it on her shorts.
For some reason I cant hear anything that is being said, but I could feel the emotions in the room. The lavender girl is saying something, and then the six started floating in the air while necklaces started forming on the girls with their respective marks, and a crown forms on the lavender girls head with the large star from her mark on it. there is an energy flowing between the six and I realized that now is my chance to do something about the evil inside Nightmare, I look over at Nightmare and see that she is trying to sneak out of the room. I get up and tackle her to the floor, the energy in between the jewelry is coming to a peak and a rainbow beam shoots at me and Nightmare. The rainbow beam hits us and instead of the pain or death I was expecting I find myself holding a young girl of about eight years of age, it seems that the beam reverted her age and she no longer has the evil presence inside her. I stood up cradling the now young Nightmare, who has Light blue hair now and dark blue fur, only to almost fall over from an unexpected weight on my back, I turn my head and see pitch black feathery wings coming from my back. I adjust my stance to account for the new appendages on my back, after I can stand straight I try to move my new wings but I cant feel them and they aren't moving. I then notice that my shadow has something coming off its head, so I reach up and what I'm not expecting is for pain to shoot through my skull when I smack my hand against a bone like protrusion from my head.
Okay I'm going to be calm and just take this in stride like I always do, I do my best to look up but all I can see is about three inches of the top of my horn, it's pitch black like my wings, and my hair seems to have taken that color as well and if I'm correct then when I look behind me then I am going to see a tail as well. I don't even bother looking so instead i look at my exposed arm only to see that I now have pure white fur, I walk over to the thrones and set Nightmare down on the now dubbed 'Solar Throne'. I grab my ACU jacket and cut two slits for my wings in the back with one of my knifes, next I pull out a new shirt from my backpack and do the same to it before putting it on, after that I put the jacket on and pull my wings through as best I can since I still cant feel them. Once my ACU jacket is on I pick up my backpack and grab my Glock 17 and put it in the holster on my pistol belt, while the two spare mags go in my slots for them on my jacket. The medical kit goes into my pocket on my right thigh and my knives go in various places on my person, the spare change of athletic pants goes in my left thigh pocket. I place the backpack down again and turn to the six girls who like Nightmare are unconscious, so I sit on the cosmic throne and after a few minutes there is a flash of white light and a tall woman of 6'1" appears, she has pure white fur like mine, but her mane and tail are blue, green, purple, and pink while ethereal like the older version of Nightmare, white feathered wings, a long white horn, and she has pink eyes, she is wearing a long flowing white dress, golden regalia and a golden crown, she has a necklace with a symbol of the sun on it.
The woman looked at me in shocks and starts muttering to herself about another Alicorn, I wonder if she means like the mythological creature on earth called an Alicorn. I look at her and before I say anything I decide that she must be royalty based off the regalia
"Why do you speak of Alicorns majesty?"
She looks shocked for a moment and responds with "You are an Alicorn, I did not know that another one of us existed other than myself, my sister, and my niece. By the way, my name is Celestia and as a fellow Alicorn you will be considered by the inhabitants of Equestria to be royalty and do not need to address me by a title."
"In all honesty Celestia, I wasn't an Alicorn until the beam from those jewelry hit me while I was holding down Nightmare Moon"
We will need to discuss this later at the palace in Canterlot, where is my sister?
I look to my right and notice that Nightmare has been awake for who knows how long, and is looking at me in confusion.
Who is this sister? And why is the castle looking like it has not seen use in many years?
Confused I asked "Nightmare, how do you not remember me? You brought me here to assist you but there was an evil in you that caused me to help these six girls."
Nightmare? My name is Luna, and I do not recall bringing you anywhere.
"I will explain it later, we need to get these girls to somewhere safer than a crumbling castle"
THE NEXT NIGHT AT CANTERLOT CASTLE
Yesterday I was told all about the Nightmare incident that led to Luna being banished to the moon, I also learned that Celestia and Luna are the princesses and rule as a diarchy, as well as that I can use my wings once I gain feeling in them which the royal doctor told me will happen within about a week but I will have to build up wing strength and back strength before I can even think about flying. Celestia will be tutoring me in magic while Luna is resting and recovering her magic, I informed Celestia of what spells I had figured out and she said that it was amazing that I could do elemental spells already. Since I am an Alicorn I was given the position Prince, and my title would be discovered once I discover what my talent is, they have this thing called a cutie mark that appears on both shoulders. The cutie marks represent your special talent, I think the reason humans don't get them is because we don't have magic and also humans can have multiple talents.
Once I had explained what had happened to Luna and Celestia, Luna apologized to me and in return I told her that it was not her fault and that I would always do it again for someone in need. I was told that the six girls in the order described earlier are Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. Twilight Sparkle or Twilight as she goes by is an interesting person to talk to, she has an interest in just about any field of magic you could think of and quite a few things that don't have to do with magic. When I was told I should get some sleep as it is now night I informed the princesses that I'm nocturnal and asked if there was an astronomy tower, after I said and asked that Luna started jumping in joy, grabbed my hand and started dragging me through the hallways. Did I mention that she has grown from an eight year old to a 16 year old in the span of only a day, she brought me to the astronomy tower and sat me down on a chair while she sat on one next to me.
"So I take it by your reaction that either you are nocturnal as well, or you really like astronomy?"
"I am indeed nocturnal and I also happen to love astronomy considering that it was my mother and I that shaped the night sky." This shocked me, but I had a reason I wished to come here
"In that case I have a question"
"Go ahead and ask."
"Do you have a star named VY Canis Majoris?"
Luna looked at me a bit startled at the question. "Yes we have a star named that, it is a Hypergiant and the largest star I created. My mother made larger ones, why do you ask?"
When I heard this I felt a strange feeling in my gut. "Is there a star approximately 1to 1.2 kiloparsecs away called Sol?"
"Yes there is. How do you know this?" She was looking at me strangely.
"The star Sol is the star that my planet orbits around."
I am sorry to say that it is impossible to get there at the moment." I could tell that she was being genuine about her apology
"I was expecting that."
We sat in silence for a while until I got hungry and asked Luna if she wished to get breakfast with me, She once again got super excited and started dragging me to a smaller dining room than the one I saw earlier. Luna called in a chef and asked for two plates of waffles, I asked the chef if there was any bacon and got a scared look in return. I looked at Luna and asked what was wrong.
"Our people cannot eat meat and it is considered a predatory trait."
I lifted up my lips and showed my slightly longer that average canines, then put my hands down. "While I am now an Alicorn I still retain the ability to eat meat and I am assuming that because of this I will still need meat."
Luna calmed down a bit and asked the chef to find the griffon chef that cooks whenever the carnivorous diplomats are there. About ten minutes later a man with black feathers instead of fur and black wings on his back walked in and asked what we needed, I explained my situation and he said he would make me some. I thanked him then looked over at Luna, when I looked at her she smiled and I noticed something.
"Luna don't freak out but would you please show me your teeth?"
She looked confused but opened her mouth anyway, what I saw confirmed that I saw what I thought I had.
"Please don't freak out, but I think some of Nightmare Moons physical features did not leave you seeing as you now have canines."
Luna took this exactly as I thought she would and flipped out, she didn't make a lot of noise but she started panicking and hyperventilating until I stood up walked over to her and hugged her while rubbing small circles in the middle of her back. The chef came back with the food and we ate in silence, after we ate we returned to the astronomy tower and started chatting about our lives up until that point.

The information about VY Canis Majoris is what I could find from various astronomy websites that are usually able to be trusted, and I apologize for any errors. Please leave a comment about what I need to do better on.
Nightmare Moon didn't speak in old English since she didn't in the show, and I am not very good at writting old English so I had that carry over to Luna.

'Thoughts'
After Luna and I returned to the astronomy tower and sat down in our chairs we started talking about our lives before recent events, she asked me about if I wish to discover a way to get back to earth. I honestly only have one thing there that matters to me and that is my brother, I honestly just need to get back so I can tell him why I disappeared for who knows how long. The thing about time is that time is only relevant depending on how close you are to a star, like on earth we have 24 hour days with about 8-15 hours of daylight and 16-9 hours of nighttime, but here however there are 36 hour days with about 19 hour days and 17 hour nights. Their day night cycle is the same since the princesses decide when to raise and lower the sun and moon. Based on this information I have no idea how long I have been gone, it is possible for me to do the calculations but it would take a long time. I was thinking about these things when suddenly I remembered something.
"Luna? How will the citizens here react to having a new prince?"
"I truly do not know, if this was before I was banished to the moon then I would say that they would have mixed reactions."
I sighed. "Well I guess I will just have to wait and see."
I got up and grabbed a book on the known stars and the physics of the cosmos. When I sat back down I noticed that Luna had a book already, so I started reading. After a few minutes I noticed something in this book regarding where the stars came from, I frowned and went to the shelf to grab a book to check if this was consistent. After looking through this book I was starting to get confused, so I read another and another only to be met with the same results.
"Luna, You might want to speak with Celestia about why there doesn't seem to be any record of you and your mother creating the stars."
"What? What do you mean?"
"What I mean is that all of the books I just looked through had theories about how the stars were created and mentioned neither you nor your mother."
Luna started pacing and mumbling to herself, while she did that I looked out the window and saw some thing that looked like a Griffon or a Pegasus outside the window standing on the window sill. If they saw me looking then they must have thought I couldn't see them since they are wearing black, the person had on them what looked like a crossbow and a sword as well as a throwing knife belt, I didn't show any outward reaction to them being there. Instead I walked over to Luna and gave her a hug while whispering in her ear.
"Don't react to much but there is a Griffon or Pegasus outside the window and from what I can tell it may be an assassin based on what they are wearing and their weaponry."
"What weaponry do they have? And do you have any weapons of your own?"
"They have a crossbow, a long sword, and a throwing knife belt like mine except half of their knives are missing and there is blood on the sword. I have several weapons on me right now, if they are stupid enough to attack then I will kill them."
I pulled away then took off my ACU jacket and unbuttoned the gun holster on my left shoulder and removed my CZ 75 B and flipped the safety off then checked the mag to make sure it was loaded. I mentally counted my ammo and I have 64 rounds for my CZ 75 B, 51 rounds for my Glock 17, and 60 rounds for my Glock 40. I subtly glanced over at the window to see if the assassin was still there and saw them undoing the latch on the window, I waited till they were in the room and spun around while dropping to a knee and unloaded two rounds into their chest and one into the head. 61 rounds left. I kept my pistol at the ready and went over to check the body, it was a female Griffin and looks to have been in her mid 20s. There is a crest on her armor of a Chinese Dragon twisting around a castle with blue flames flowing from its nostrils.
"Luna, do you recognize this crest or is it from during your banishment?"
"Sadly I do recognize it and it belongs to a famous assassin guild from before my banishment called The Dragons Castle."
I nodded and picked up the casings and put them in my ACU jacket left arm pocket, I walked over to the body and levitated the bullets out and put them into a pocket on my ACU pants. Once I was done with that I walked over to the door and called down the stairs for the guards to come and that there had been an assassination attempt. The guards ran in and a Sargent ordered the Private who was with him to go and get the Captain of the Guard and have Princess Celestia woken from her sleep. As soon as I heard Celestia's name I took off running to where I remember being told her room is, I burst through the door with my CZ 75 B in hand and did a sweep of the room and checked the balcony. By this time Celestia had woken up, and was looking startled by the sight of me.
"Sorry Celestia, Luna and I just had an assassin attempt to kill us. She wasn't fast enough and I killed her, as soon as the guards mentioned you I realized that you might be a target as well so I got here as fast as I could."
It seems that with the arrival of a new Alicorn and my sisters return that someone is getting nervous. I will be boosting security."
"Oh and Luna says that the crest the assassin bears belongs to The Dragons Castle guild." I said as I was walking out the door.
I walked over to the medical wing and found a doctor that specializes in healing spells. As soon as we were in his office I told him what I am planning and after voicing his displeasure, he admitted that it could work. So we walked to the O.R. and I pulled out a knife but at the doctors look I sterilized it with fire and cooled it with water, I asked him to hold my wing out and I put a strip of leather in my mouth to bite down on. Once I was ready I stabbed the knife into my wing membrane, it felt like a combination of being stabbed with a hot knife as well as the pins and needles feeling of a limb waking up multiplied by ten, in other words it hurt like hell. I pulled the knife out and motioned for the doctor to heal it, once he was done we did it with the other wing as well. The doctor gave me painkillers and once the pain lessened I tried to use the feelings of the limb that I had gained during that unpleasantness and stretched them out, albeit very weakly and very painfully.
The doctor directed me to a physical therapist who helps with wings here in the castle, the name of the therapist is Strong Wings. I asked if she is available at the moment and he told me that she probably is, so I walked down to her office and knocked on her door. Strong Wings opened the door, took one look at my wings and pulled me inside. As soon as I knew what was going on I realized that my wings were being preened by someones hands and someone else was checking the muscles surrounding them. I looked around and saw Strong Wings walk in front of me and say that I needed to do 50 wing ups a day, a version of push ups that has the wings taking about 50-60% of your weight using the wings which she then demonstrated. I was instructed to come back in a week so she can check my progress and once I am fit to fly she will send me to a flying instructor.
ONE WEEK LATER
Over the last week several things have happened. The security was boosted immensely, so much in fact that wherever I go there are four guards flanking me. Anyone who wishes to enter the castle is to be checked for weapons and poisons, only military personnel, Luna, Celestia, and I are allowed to be flying in the castle air space. I had done my wing exercises and several more that I had come up with after studying the muscle structure around and on Pegasus and Alicorn wings. I started flying lessons yesterday however we discovered that my transformation gave me an instinctual and reflexive ability to fly, after that it was fairly easy to get around. Celestia and I had started my magic lessons and I seem to be like a sponge when it comes to learning magic, so far I have completed all of the basic, advanced courses and just need to practice more to master those spells. I am still working on the mastery courses and haven't even been allowed to touch combat magic, being told that it is far too dangerous for peace times. I decided to head to the Royal Archives to see if I could find anything on space travel so I could get home. 'Heh, maybe if I get home I should just take over and fix the problem of wars... But thats a thought for another time.' About 20 minutes later I reached the Public Archives and went to the back of the room where I had been informed by Celestia that the Royal Archives resided. As I approached the entrance I was stopped by two guards who stated that by protocol I was required to show proof of permission to enter, instead I just gently picked them up via levitation and flared my wings.
"Is this proof enough?"
The two guards just nodded and after I set them down they provided me a seal to carry on my person that will allow me access no matter what guards were on duty. My guards joined the two outside the door seeing as they are not allowed inside which I thought was very strange. Once I entered I realized that the Royal Archives are absolutely massive (Think of the lost library from Avatar The Last Airbender) but there is what seems like a directory of some sort on a pedestal in the middle of the bridge in front of me
I walked over to the edge of the bridge to look down and the floors just kept going until I couldn't see past the darkness, I then walked over to the directory and looked for the sections on space and the stars. The book says that the section I'm looking for is on floor 1,296, now I dreaded what floor I was on and rightfully so because I saw that I'm on floor 13,768. After this I just sighed and jumped over the edge, while falling I sent three large bolts of light ahead each one set to stay in place after a certain distance. After I don't know how long I started to see a reflection of light far below me so I slowly spread my wings so as not to cause too much stress on my joints and muscles. By the time I had my wings fully extended I saw the floor fast approaching so I flapped my wings as hard as I could and sent a blast of air down using magic to cushion my landing, the combination of the gust caused by my wings and my magic slowed me down enough that instead of feeling like I just fell more than 275,000 feet it was instead that of a 10 foot fall (my math may be a bit off but I have the archive set up so that each floor is 20 feet tall and thats not including the approximate 5 feet of stone in between floors). After I landed I started flying up and counting the floors as I went up, after I passed 1,250 I started to slow down and soon enough I found the floor I was looking for. I landed on the floor and found that there was a ton of dust everywhere so I sent a small gust of wing in front of me so I could actually see where I'm walking. I started to search through this floor and every once in a while I would pick up a book with my levitation and eventually I was reaching my carry limit before I had even found what I was looking for.
After about two hours I had searched only a quarter of the floor so I went to the bridge and set four mini suns of light to hover in the four spaces away from the bridge before taking flight and being careful to not lose my haul at the same time. After 3 hours and multiple rest stops on various bridges I finally made it to the top floor, as I exited the Royal Archive I asked my personal guards 'Hmm, I need to get them some personalized armor' where I could find a book bag. After we spent another hour looking for a book bag I found one in a closet, then gathered my guards and headed to the personal study I was given by Celestia as thanks for saving Luna, when we arrived I asked my guards to sit and introduce themselves.
The first guard (a unicorn) rose from her seat and Introduced herself "My name is Fire Blaze, and as my name implies I have an affinity for fire magic. I hold the rank of Sergeant." She then bowed and sat down again.
The second guard rose from his seat (also a unicorn) and introduced himself "My name is Lightning Glory sir, as my name suggests I excel in Electric and Lightning based magic. I hold the rank of Warrant Officer." He then saluted and returned to his seat.
The third guard (a pegasus) rose from her seat and introduced herself "My name is Stormy Skies, as my name suggests I have a talent for creating storms that my teammates use to their advantage. I hold the rank of 2nd Lieutenant." She returned to her seat.
the fourth guard (an earth pony) rose from her seat and introduced herself "My name is Shattered Grounds, as my name sort of implies I have the unusual gift of geomancy. I hold the rank of Captain and lead the Special forces unit designated to guard you your highness." She Bowed and returned to her seat.
I then stood up and decided to give them a formal introduction "As you probably know, My name is Scorpio. I Was brought here by Nightmare Moon from another planet and was turned from my old race into an Alicorn when I held her in place and both of us were hit by the Elements of Harmony. I will be having new armor commissioned for you four to show that you are my personal guards and the four generals of the Army I am going to be forming." I then sat down and waited for a response.
While waiting I studied my new generals, Fire Blaze is around 5'4" with a blood red mane and gray fur with purple eyes, Lightning Glory is about 5'6" and has a blue mane and yellow fur with deep blue eyes, Stormy Skies is about 5'6" and has a black mane and grey fur with red eyes, and Shattered Grounds is about 5'9" and has a dark brown mane and black fur with bright green eyes. They all looked shocked at what I said so I told them to take some time and gather their thoughts before looking at the pile of books I had set down on the table to my left and browsed through the titles before finding the one I wanted to read first. I picked up the book titled The Cosmos and Beyond by Starswirl the Bearded and a letter fell out addressed to Scorpius The Stupid Scorpion the nickname my brother gave me. Curious I unfolded the letter and the only thing there was this
Dear Scorpio,
It is your friend Starswirl writing this letter as per your own instructions. You instructed me to put down these coordinates as proof that It is me writing you this.
44.9537° N, 93.0900° W
Now that I have proven what this is I will tell you the location of your airship that we built together. The airship resides in the care of your wife Queen Sombra in the Crystal Empire of the Frozen North. If you are correct then when you read this you will have another 3 years before your empire reappears, the cure we developed for your wifes illness will be inside the chamber under your throne. Sorry that it took so long to get this chapter up, my laptop broke and I just recently got a new computer. Beware there was a lot of foreshadowing in this chapter... MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
on a side note I must have edited this chapter at least 7 times and I still probably have a ton of errors and yes, this is going to involve minor time travel at one point but its only going to be for a few chapters
