I Brought You A Letter

The sound of an alarm going off wakes up Jimmy Knoles. He throws the clock at the wall as he gets up smashing it. It is now time to go to his college courses. As he gets up something seems wrong. There was no smell of his mother making breakfast, this pisses him off. He rushes down stairs as loudly as he can and goes into the kitchen to berate her. However she was not there which seemed unusual so he goes back upstairs to check her room. He opens the door slowly making sure that he wasn't about to walk on his mom naked. She wasn't there either and her bed looks like she hadn't used it last night. With no time to waste yelling at his mother he just grabs some pop tarts and heads out the door. Taking the city bus to his college he sits in the back and pulls out his phone to play Angry birds.

Several students were out playing in the court yard. Jimmy keeps his head down and heads towards his class. He really didn't want to be here but his mother forced him to go to college so he picked some easy classes just to shut her up. Siting in the back of the economics room playing his Ipod as loud as it goes Jimmy doodles on his notes; drawing himself as the king of the world and the jocks bowing down to him with several girls groveling at his feet. He stares with a creeper smile at the girl below him getting a clear view of her exposed cleavage. Feeling that she was being watched she pulls her shirt up and places her book on her chest much to the chagrin of Jimmy sketching an accurate depiction of her boobs.

With an hour between his next class he goes to the library to use their computer. There were a few people in the library, but he doesn't care he is not here for them he is here to cause trouble. He logs into the computer and immediately hacks into the main frame, and starts messing with people's term papers and changing grades. Jimmy snickers as he changes one of the smarter jocks term paper about political turmoil within the governing bodies of the middle east; to a report of which football team is the best making sure that it sounds like it came from a dumb jock. After he changes some more of people's term papers he goes to log out when a sound comes from the computer. "I brought you a letter" Jimmy falls back out of the chair when he gets back up there is an envelope with wings flapping in the center of the screen continually saying " I brought you a letter" in a computer animated young girls voice.

He doesn't answer it he turns the power off and leaves for his next class which ironically was computer engineering and program development; the real reason to which he came to this college in the first place. Jimmy pays little attention to the teacher's lecture it was mostly things that went over last week and things that he already knew. The class was nearly over there was only fifteen minutes left of class. Fifteen minutes then he can go home. However the lecture was interrupted by a campus security guard entering the lecture hall and talking to the teacher. A notable twitch in the teacher's eyebrow is visible in the entire class room. He pinches his nose and looks at his students.

"Jimmy Knoles you are needed in the dean's office! This officer will be escorting you there." yells the teacher. The other students turn around and glare at Jimmy with clear looks of anger, and some of satisfaction knowing that he was in trouble. Jimmy sighs as he gathers his belongings and is escorted out by the officer. Once the door behind him closes sounds of cheering explode from the classroom.

"Intolerable bastards. Just wait until I get to a computer then you'll see what I can really do." Jimmy says under his breath.

When Jimmy enters the dean's office he was greeted by three police officers and the dean himself. Jimmy without any hesitation sits down in an empty chair crosses his arms and looks at the dean.

"So what do you want?"

"Ahem. Earlier this day someone hacked into the campus mainframe and altered several student's and teacher's personal files. As you know Jimmy this is a serious matter." the dean looks at Jimmy with a stern expression on his old and wrinkled face; Jimmy just smirks. " We were investigating these serious accusations when someone hacked into our security cameras and showed us something rather interesting. Would you like to take a look?"

"What someone show you a porno or something old man?"

The dean just sighs as he turns his monitor around so everyone could see. It was a video feed of the library and was showing Jimmy altering profiles. Jimmy now looks over the officers and can clearly see that they are not campus security but were actual police officers. He turns back around and slumps and into the chair.

"Do you have anything to say for yourself Jimmy?"

Jimmy smiles " As a matter of fact I do. Before I logged off I inserted a dead bolt encryption code. Without the proper password you can't change anything I've done without wiping out everything within your precious little mainframe. Go ahead and lock me up if you want but you're not getting back what all those losers lost. Now if you want me to change it back to the way it was it'll cost you big time." Jimmy smiles broadly he always thinks that he is the smartest person in the room. He planned this little contingency plan just in case something like this happened. Now they can't touch him at least that is what he thinks.

The dean smiles as he adjusts his glasses. "Well actually that won't be necessary. Whom ever it was that hacked into our security cameras to show us what you've done. Also hacked into the mainframe themselves, and corrected everyone's profiles. So no it won't cost us big time as you so boldly stated. You however will be the one who pays as it were. You've committed a very serious crime mister Knoles and will have to spend some time behind bars." With that the officers charge Jimmy and handcuff him. "Oh and you can also consider this your termination from this college. Please do have a nice day mister Knoles." the dean smiles as the officers drag Jimmy kicking and screaming out of the room and off the campus. As the cop car drives off campus several students and teachers alike celebrate seeing them drive away with the menace.

It is now late at night Jimmy sits in holding along with some other people who he just ignores. A patrolling guard stops in front of his cell. It is obvious that the officer didn't want to do what he was about to do. After all Jimmy is notorious throughout the entire town as a menace.

"Open it!" yells the officer as a buzzing noise signifies the cell door opening up. Jimmy steps out and follows the guard through the halls keeping his head down. Soon enough he is lead to an interrogation room and heads inside. A beautiful woman in a suit and skirt was waiting for him. Her chest stains against it's tight confining imprisonment of her shirt and jacket. She stands up and greets him pulling a chair out for him to which he takes he can't help but stare at her chest as he sits.

"Hello mister Jimmy Knoles my name is Kelly Hardt. I was designated as your lawyer and was viewing your case. Normally your case would be an open and shut case since they have evidence that you tampered with public and personal profiles. However there are extenuating circumstances that lessen the degree to which you are going to be punished."

"Huh? What would that be"

Kelly crosses her fingers as she leans over the steel table." Thanks to whom ever it was that hacked into the college's mainframe after you changing things back to normal. There is no real damage. However there will be an internal inquiry as to how so many people can hack into their computers with such ease. You will still have to spend time behind bars but it will be substantially lessened. At best a couple of days behind bars and community service. It's the best option I have to offer you especially since you've pretty much pissed off everyone in town. That is quite the feat by the way."

"Heh thanks I guess."

"Any questions for me before you are returned to holding?"

"Just one can you flash me your rack? I bet they are just gorgeous."

"What!? No! Guard!" with that the guard enters the room and forcible removes Jimmy from the room.

The following day was his court day it was rather short since they were pleading guilty anyways. However at the behest of his mother his sentence was nothing more then ninety days under house arrest and 2500 hours of community service. He goes home with his mother and his new jewelry in the form of his tracking device. Once he gets home he makes a bee line towards his room and his computer; he was getting tired of who every this person was that was messing with him. He turns on his computer to his horror every single file was corrupted. Jimmy is now livid he only has his inbox and there is a message in his inbox. He doesn't even look at the title he knows what it is. "Welcome back home Jimmy. You know that not answering a mare's letter is very rude. I might take offense and have to take matters into my own hooves."

Jimmy hits the reply button and begins to type. "Just who the fuck are you!? What gives you the right to mess with my life in this manner!? Maybe I should take matters into my hands and show you what messing with a true hacker is like! You stupid bitch!" he hits send.

He hears what he was expecting. I brought you a letter. "Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy no appreciation for the mare that saved you jail time? I could have just let them take you. After all you haven't been mean to just me but everyone around you. The only one that loves you is your mother and even she has her limits. Maybe if I take her then you would finally learn your lesson? Lets find out! Shall we?"

Jimmy wants to hit the reply button but his nerves are shaking too much from reading that last part. This was no ordinary hacker he was arguing with. There is no reason not to believe what they say after all they seem to be on a league all on their own. He goes to check on his mother she is in her room crying her eyes out. A deep seeded pit of guilt hits Jimmy like a semi as he looks at his mother. Here is this woman who gives everything to keep the two of them afloat and now she is a broken shell crying her heart out over his horrible decisions. He is unused to feeling bad for anybody especially his mother. A hot tear runs down his cheek as he finally feels something besides self induced satisfaction. Jimmy turns around and heads towards his computer. He takes a flash drive out of a hidden drawer; he plugs it into it's corresponding usb port. On the flash drive there was only one file. He takes the file and places it into the message and sends it. Jimmy smiles as he hits send; when whoever this person was opened up this particular message a computer virus would infect their computer and crash their system. This would hopefully be the end of this little mind fuck game that they were playing with each other. Jimmy yawns as he turns off his computer and goes to sleep.

The instant the clock hits midnight his computer turns itself back on. Laughter sounds out of the speakers as a digital snow covered hoof begins to protrude from the screen. Soon enough the hoof is followed by a head then another hoof then the rest of it's body. The digital pony stands at the foot of Jimmy's bed it stands there for a few silent seconds then heads out into the hallway. It walks down to the end of the hallway where the door to Jimmy's mother is. It slowly opens the door and walks into the dark room. Standing next to her sleeping body the pony brushes her bright red cheeks spreads it's wings and leaps into her head dematerializing into nothingness.
