//-------------------------------------------------------// Error In The System -by PyraFlare- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The surface //-------------------------------------------------------// The surface A few hours later “Thanks for taking me here Rarity, you were right about those spa sisters, they really know how to destress somepony.” Starlight thanked Rarity with a smile. “Not to worry darling, if you're ever feeling stressed out or just need a little bit of girl time just find me and we can do this again sometime.” The fashionista replied with a kind smile. “Now, why don't you head back to the castle to get some sleep, it's getting dark out.” Starlight looked up and saw that the sky was now turning black and stars were beginning to appear, the sun had set awhile ago and the last rays of light were beginning to retreat behind the horizon. “You're right, I should get home. Thanks again Rarity, I really enjoyed this. “Goodnight dear, now you get going, this fashion pony needs her beauty sleep.” With that the two mares parted ways, both heading to their places of residence to sleep the night away and allow Princess Luna to watch over their dreams. Walking through the long empty crystal hallways Starlight sighed as she began thinking of all the selfish things she did before the whole time travel incident. How she refused to believe that a few ponies could change the world, how she let her own anger get the better of her and how she tried to drive a group of friends apart for petty revenge. She quietly stepped into her bedroom and crawled under the covers of her bed before burying her face in her pillow and letting out a groan. She turned her head slightly and looked to a photo of her friends in the Equality Village after she had been reformed. “Well...at least there's no permanent damage.” Worth that one comforting thought she closed her eyes and entered the dream realm, unaware of the figure that was currently walking through the streets of Ponyville in the darkness. “W-W-W-Well, this c-certainly looks like a com-com-comfortable little town.” Error Sans said to himself as he walked in the middle of a street in Ponyville in the dark of the night, no one around to see him. “Although...this one se-se-se-seems to be crawling-ing with traces of dark magic.” He looked around the street while coming to a stop, placing his hands in the pockets of his hoodie. “C-c-c-c-come to th-think of it, this world seems to have-have-have a lot more dark magic present, and I-I-I can tell it's not an error that's causing it.” Error looked to the ground in thought, wondering what else could be causing such levels of dark magic. There was the possibility of Discord, but he used chaos magic not dark magic, so he was ruled out. “Oh we-e-e-e-ell, it can wait, I have more important matters to a-a-a-attend to.” Lifting his head he continued his walk through the streets of Ponyville, humming dark, darker yet darker to himself as he went along. It wasn't long until he came to the front of the Castle of Friendship. He smirked before disappearing, reappearing inside the map room. Turning around he looked over the smooth crystal surface of the table between the six thrones. He slowly placed a finger on the table and a dark red version of the cutie map took its place on the surface. “Interesting…” He lifted his finger off the crystal and the map faded away. “Now, to fi-i-i-ind the one who was m-m-messing with the timeline, after I spent so-o-o-o-o-o long trying to fix it.” He placed his hands back in his pockets before walking out if the room, his footsteps echoing through the hallways as he walked on the crystal surface in his black slippers. “T-T-This place needs some decorations, t-t-t-these hallways are b-b-bare as a bone.” He chuckled to himself for the pun he had made before stopping. “Seriously though, this is j-j-just depre-re-re-ressing. Get some p-p-plants or something, this is just boring.” Finding nothing in the hallways he began to check each of the rooms that he passed, eventually finding his way to the bedrooms. He first checked Spikes room, he would have just left if it had not been for a strange energy emitting from the slumbering drake, not dark magic but something else. Error stood to the side of Spikes bed, carefully watching him with his uneven eyes. “Strange, u-u-u-u-usually a dragon this age would-d-d have hit a growth spurt due to their greed, but this one see-seems to be able to contain his n-natural desires. S-s-strange indeed.” Error turned his body around and quietly walked out of the room, the door closing behind him. Spike opened his eyes and looked around for a second before shrugging and falling back to sleep again. Error then checked Twilight's bedroom, standing next to her bed and looking over her body. “An al-l-l-licorn huh? Didn't know Ce-Ce-Celestia was helping others ascend to godhood.” He questioned Celestia's reasons for taking in ponies to become alicorns before he shook his head and left the room. “Oh well, to-o-o-o each their own I g-guess.” Finally, he reached Starlights room. He looked around and saw a rolled up scroll on the dresser. His hand glowed red and the scroll was picked up in a red aura before being lifted up and floating over to Error. He opened it up, reading the contents and recognised it as Starswirl the Bearded's time travel spell. “W-well, looks like I've fo-o-ound the one I'm looking for.” He put the scroll back and walked towards Starlight. He looked at her and frowned. “Now why-y-y-y would a unicorn like y-you want to mess around with time?” He moved to wake her up, but stopped himself and shook his head. He decided that he'd only step in if something went wrong, until then there was no reason to scare anyone with his appearance. “I-I-I-I haven't been around the sur-sur-sur-surface for a few centuries, I think I'll take a loo-loo-look around, see the sights.” Error smiled again before disappearing, leaving to explore the modern world while waiting for the right time to reveal himself to the ponies. Error stood atop one of the tallest skyscrapers of Manehatten, looking down at the lit city streets. He took in a breath of the city air, reminding him of his old life in a metropolis back on earth. “Heh, I never expected this w-w-world to have its o-o-own version of Manhattan, and for its na-name to be a pun.” As he walked along the rooftops without a care in the world he looked over to the skyscraper across from the one he was standing on, seeing a shadowy figure with glowing white eyes staring at him. It pointed its claw like finger at him before sliding it on its own neck in a threatening manner before disappearing. Error just blinked and his teeth formed into a confident smirk. “H-here comes a ne-ne-ne-new challenger.” Author's Note Hope you enjoyed this new chapter. I'll try to make the next chapters longer, until then please enjoy. Feel free to point out any mistakes you seem it will help me out a bunch. Thank you. //-------------------------------------------------------// The purge begins again //-------------------------------------------------------// The purge begins again Error Sans stood in the shadows of the Everfree Forest, watching over the town of Ponyville as the sun began to rise over the horizon. While he watched a few ponies walk out of their homes early to get their respective businesses ready for the day, he began to wonder what kind of dangers were present in the modern world, considering all that he had faced alongside Celestia and Luna before an event known as "The Great Purge" which we will get into later. Losing interest in the large town he lifted his hand off of the tree he was leaning against and began walking through the now tame forest of thorns with his hands in his pockets. His eerie presence keeping any creatures that still remained in the forest away from him as he ventured towards the Castle of the Two Sisters. Upon reaching the bridge leading to the castle he immediately walked to the side of the bridge and began walking down the stone steps that led to the cave of the Tree of Harmony. He merely stood a few feet away from the glowing crystal tree, feeling it's cleansing energy surrounding him, but soon being pushed away by his own corrupt presence. No matter how hard the tree tried, it could not repair Errors body. "Strange to-to-to see the e-elements placed back after so many years." He took a few steps forward and slowly placed a hand against its rough crystal surface, the tree immediately reacting to his touch and preventing any of his dark magic enter its systems, that was not what he was trying to do anyway. "It seems s-s-s-s-stronger, like the elements-ments are closer s-somehow." He spoke to himself in interest. "I wonder wh-what's been happening-ing since I was l-l-last on the surface." He took his hand off the tree and turned to walk away, but he stopped for a second as he looked back. He then noticed the new shapes of the element gems. After seeing the new look of the gems he smiled and walked away. "Of c-c-c-c-course, new bearers." As he was about to place his foot on the first step he teleported back to the top of the stairs. "Now...lets g-g-go-o see what's up with-ith that mare." As he walked forward he felt something click I'm the back of his mind, only causing him to grin widely as he sensed a mistake in reality. A few hours later Twilight and Starlight began walking towards Sweet Apple Acres, having promised to help Applejack around the farm while Big Mac had a personal day off, but only after being forced to have one by his sisters who insisted he needed some time to himself. As the two were approaching the field they saw that the moon was rising, eclipsing the sun and causing the sky to go back. Twilight and Starlight looked to each other in confusion, if Celestia and Luna were planning something like this they would have been informed, something was wrong. Suddenly though, Rainbow Dash came rushing over to the two. She couldn't slow down fast enough and crashed into Twilight. Starlight used her magic to lift the cyan mare off of the alicorn, allowing Twilight to regain her composure. As she was about to ask Rainbow what was wrong, the Pegasus yelled before she could even open her mouth. "Twilight, you need to come with me and fast!" "Why? What's happening?" "It's Nightmare Moon! She's back! And there is something seriously wrong with her, and not just in an insane way, but in a very, very strange way!" Rainbow exclaimed. Twilight and Starlight looked to each other in shock before turning back to the panicking mare in front of them. "Well what are we waiting for, let's go stop her!" Rainbow nodded and began leading them to the centre of town, where their old enemy had reappeared. The trio reached the centre of town where the rest of the mane six were waiting for them, all with worried expressions. "Oh thank goodness you're here Twilight. It seems as though we may be in a spot of trouble." Rarity said uneasily. "Dash said that Nightmare Moon has returned and that something was wrong with her. Is Princess Luna trying to take over Equestria again?" Twilight asked worriedly. "No. I'm not." They all looked up to see Luna and Celestia flying down to them before landing with stern extensions on their faces. "This Nightmare Moon is not the one that had taken over my body, it is somethings far more sinister." "I don't get it, what's wrong with her?" Fluttershy looked over he shoulder and squeaked in fear. "W-Why don't you look for yourself?" Twilight turned around and gasped at what she saw. It was Nightmare Moon, only far more terrifying than before. Her eyes were empty black voids and blue lines of liquid seemed to pour from them. Her body was distorted and her mane was glitching between black, mired and yellow. One other thing Twilight noticed was that around her body, the word 'error' flashed constantly. "What is she?" Twilight asked terrified. "She's an error, a mistake in reality." Celestia explained, her expression unchanging. "She shouldn't even exist." Twilight just continued to stare fearfully at the corrupt mare before them. "Aha-a-a-ahahahaaaa! Foolish ponies! The n-n-night shall last for all-all-all eternity!" She exclaimed in her glitched voice. "What do we do?" Starlight asked Celestia who looked around for a moment before setting her gaze onto a rooftop and smiling warmly. "We don't do anything, we just sit back and watch." Everyone looked at her in confusion before following her gaze, seeing a silhouette on the roof of a house. The figure disappeared for a moment before reappearing in front of the group. Error Sans held out his hand and summoned a Gaster Blaster, a large black dragon/goat skull with one gliding yellow eye. It opened its mouth and a large beam of energy was shot towards Error Moon at blinding speeds. Error Moon managed to dodge the attack but soon found herself bound by multiple blue strings. Looking back she saw the strings were coming from Errors fingers as he pulled them to tighten the hold on the mare. "Took you long enough." Luna said jokingly to her old friend. "P-P-Please, I was here way before either-er of you." Error countered playfully while still keeping his hold on Error Moon. Twilight and the others just looked to Error and the princesses in shock. "Princess, who is that?" Fluttershy asked Luna quietly. "That is our good friend Error Sans, you need not worry everypony, he's on our side." Error just chuckled. "I-I-I-I am on nobody's s-side, I just do-of things because I want to. It j-j-just so happens that he-helping you is one of t-those things." "Oh I totally believe you, real convincing anti-hero persona you got there." Celestia joked, causing the mares present to just stare at her in shock, wondering how both princesses were acting so casually in such a dire situation. Error shook his head and returned his attention to Error Moon who had cut the strings with her magic and stood to face get new opponent. "W-Well, let's get this o-o-over with. But before-fore we do-o this, let me ask y-you something." Error Mokn just looked at him questioningly as he closed his eyes and placed his hands in his pockets, before opening his eyes again to reveal dark voids much like her own. "D-Do you wanna ha-have a bad time?" I'm not sorry, I had to make him say it sooner or later. Author's Note As usual, feel free to point out any mistakes I may have missed. Took me a bit longer to get this out. Now if you'll excuse me, now that the chapter is done...I can finally go to sleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Error Moon //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Just a heads up, I, reducing the amount of corruption in Errors voice. After going over a few Error Sans readings I figured I was putting too much into his speech, because the majority of his lines in the readings are said normally. Error Moon Error Moon charge up her horn and summoned a small crowd of error thestrals before smirking. "Attack!" The corrupted bat ponies smirked evilly before taking to the skies and circling Error Sans. He just stood with his hands in his pockets, his eyes following the enemies around him carefully. "G-G-Great, now there's more of-of you to deal with." One of the bat ponies screeched and charged Error from the air. As it was about to land a hit on Error he stepped to the side and allowed it to crash into the ground. Lifting his open hand up, black bones grew out of the ground below the Thestral and impaled it. As two more of the thestrals charged, Error shot one hand of strings at one of them. It's body twitched for a moment before Error was able to gain full control over it, moving it with his strings as if it were a puppet to attack the other error. Once he had forced it to kill it's friend he then tugged at the already tight strings before pulling back with great force, causing the strings to cut off its limbs and head. The rest of the errors saw what had happened and snarled at Error who just motioned for them to bring it on. They split up and dived from different directions. Smirking, Error held up one hand and multiple black bones appeared around him and began to circle him like a spiked shield. The Erris couldn't stop themselves and met the bones face first, causing the bones to go right through their bodies while black goo began to pour from their corpses. Error Moon groaned in annoyance. "Why did I-I-I think that summoning p-p-pawns would work-work? Fine th-then, I'll face you m-m-myself." "S-S-Strange, they were so-o-o-o weak I assumed one of t-them was you." Error teased while smirking. He swung his strings to the side to throw the black blood off of them. With one hand holding strings and the other ready to summon a Gaster Blastet, bones or use a blue attack, Error took a fighting stance. "Well t-then moony, let-let-let us see w no is the better-er error." "Wait wouldn't a better error just cause more problems?" Twilght asked, her logical sure taking over for a moment. "Y-Yeah, that's why I really want that title." Error responded with a tone both serious and joking. "Now...who w-wants to see a-a-a-a corrupt skeleton tear a delusional soul to pieces?" Error Moon growled before charging her horn and sending a wave of corrupted magic towards Error who used his strings to pull himself away from the attack before raising his free hand, causing multiple black bones to appear before they were all shot towards Error Moon who put up a magical shield to defend herself, but causing a dust cloud to gather as the bones impacted the field. Error ran forwards with a large bone in his hand while Error Moon was blinded. Once the dust settled Error Moon received a bone to face and was knocked up into the sky due to the sheer force. She steadied herself with her wings and began to fire rapid magic bullets down to the ground. Error kept flash teleporting out of the way of each bullet that would have hit him before he shot his strings up to Error Moon, managing to wrap them around one of her hooves. He then pulled down with a sadistic smile in his faced as she impaired the ground. He then began to spin his body around while slamming Error Moon into various spots in the area before throwing her up into the air, summoning two Gaster Blasters and firing two large beams at the error, the beams were large enough to cover her entire body when they hit. Error Moon fell to the ground with a hard thud, smoke coming off of her singed fur. Error just wiped a drop of sweat off of his forehead, not used to fighting after so many centuries of inactivity. Walking slowly over to her with a bone in his hand he looked her in her voided eyes, seeing the absolute hate that they held within them. He knew that her mere existence was torture to her, being an error is extremely painful as the entire multiverse is trying to break your body down as if you were a disease. The only reason Error could deal with the pain and even get rid of it was because of the way he was displaced, plus his fiancés love and support through the times he did feel the pain. "D-Don't worry, I'll make-ake this quick." Moving to her side he levelled the bone with her head. As he was about to bring it down and purge the error from the world he felt his hands being bound by a magical aura. "Stop!" Twilight yelled in a panic. "She's defenceless now, you don't have you kill her! We can use the elements or try to change her to good." "Twilight, that's not how this works." Celestia said carefully. "But its wrong!" "You didn't seem to have a problem killing Sombra." Rainbow Dash pointed out while folding her front legs. "We can't just kill her! We killed Sombra on accident, I thought the was going to be banished to the ice again!" Twilight countered. "W-W-Well then princess, I've got-ot good news!" Error said while smirking evilly. "You guys aren't ki-ki-ki-killing her...I am." With that he stabbed the bone into Error Moons skull and her body disappeared in a puff of black smoke, the only thing left behind was the top of her horn. Error picked up the tip and placed it in his pocket to keep as a trophy to remember another victory, and another soul set free from the madness being an error brings. Luna and Celestia nodded with small smiles while the rest of the ponies just it her stared mortified or unfazed. "Good job Error, it's good to see that your fighting skills haven't aged too much." Luna complimented with a playful insult. "Oh haha-a-a-a-ahah. You're one to t-t-talk Lulu." Error joked as he walked past the ponies. "Now, if you'll all-l-l-l-l excuse me, I'll be-be going before the l-locals see me." Luna and Celestia were about to protest but when they turned around he was already gone. Back in the underground caverns Toriel sat watering a few plants that grew in her private garden, the plants, trees and grass getting their sunlight from a hole in the ceiling that was right at the top of Canterlot Mountain, the garden built into the centre of the mountain. She heard the sound of a portal opening and looked back to see Errot standing on the grass with his usual smile. "Oh, there you are Error, I take it you won against whatever was up there?" She asked casually with a small smile. "Yeah, another suc-successful hunt." He flipped the horn tip in his hands for a moment before stopping. "I'm going to-to leave it in the tr-trophy room, then you and I-I-I will be spending some q-quality time together." "I'd love that hon. Now go and add your new toy to your collection." Toriel ordered with a smile. "Hehe, y-yes ma'am." //-------------------------------------------------------// The displacers worries //-------------------------------------------------------// The displacers worries ??? In a black void a lone figure sat on a plain, white armchair with a white desk in front of him. He sat there alone, writing in a book with a quill in his hand. The figure had blue eyes with spiky black hair. He reached into the pocket of his white trenchcoat and pulled out a small bottle of glowing ink. Taking off the lid he dipped the quill inside and continued to write with glowing text appearing on the pages as he went. "This is coming along just fine, everything looks to be in order for this tale." He said to himself as a smile came to his face. Writing the last few words down he chuckled before setting the quill down and closing the book over, the symbol of a sword appearing on the front. "The people of this works will be having a lot of fun." He snapped his fingers and the book disappeared, reappearing in another location. Said location was a large area filled with shelves filled with books with different symbols on the front as far as the eye could see. The man sighed before placing his hands behind his back and reclining in his chair. After a few silent moments he saw something out of the corner of his eye. It was one of the books, only this one was kept in the desks drawer, close to the man. It had the symbol of a sun medallion on the front which glowed purple. "Hmmm..." He hummed to himself as he stared at the book, unable to take his eyes off of it. He was brough out of his trance when a door appeared behind him suddenly and opened to reveal a woman standing there. She had light blue hair that she wore in a ponytail. She wore a simple light blue t-shirt and jeans with light blue shoes. In fact, her entire body was giving off a soft blue glow. "I figured you'd still be in here." She spoke in slight annoyance. "Really? No 'how are you?' No 'hello?' Just straight to the annoyed tone." He responded sarcastically. The woman rolled her eyes and placed her hands on her hips. "Do you mind telling me why you're wasting your time making more universes to watch over while you should be out in the Multiverese looking for a way to bring back our son?" She demanded angrily. "Symbol is dead Vivi, he gave up his soul remember? There's no way to bring him back even if Error Sans were to rewrite the code of his universe. There's no point in wasting energy." Vivi just growled, walked up to the chair, turned it around and stared the man straight in the eye. "The only reason our son isn't alive anymore Author is because you were too busy making sure Metal Sonic got settled into his Equestria when you should have been guiding Symbol along the right path. Now how are we supposed to kill Xram and the Nightmare Fuels?" "Do you not think I e been trying to develop ways to deal with that problem? Why do you think I dispatched Error Sans in the first place?" Author asked with a raised eyebrow. "Our son died he's, but in turn he gave us more ways of handling things without his assistance AND he died an honourable death by saving everyone. I think you should be more focused on that little fact and stop, trying to bring him back. If a piece of him dud survive I'm sure he'll find his way home eventually." Author turned his chair around again, ending the discussion. Vivi sighed and hugged herself tightly. "It's just...you act as if you don't care." Author sighed before pulling out a book with a glitch symbol on the front. "I do Vivi...believe me I do." Inside Canterlot Mountain Error walked slowly down the long dug out cave hallway, various doors built into the walls of the cave leaving to different rooms. Error ignored these doors and focused on the large silver doors at the end of the hallway. As he reached it he placed his hands on the door causing it to glow, the gears inside of the metal plating began to turn as the doors opened up revealing the couples treasury. Piles of gold going, jewels and random artefacts lay in a large pile in the wide dome shaped room. However there was a clear path through the coins that led to another door. Upon opening the second door Error smiled widely as he looked about his trophy room. Dozens of various mementos from previous battles were either on racks on the wall or in glass containers on red pillows. From the black horns of an Error Scorpan to the wings of an Error Thestral. He reached an empty container and placed the horn fragment on the small pillow before sealing the container. He just stood and admired the new piece of his trophy collection, smiling as he knew that this was much more than a simple collection, it was a representation of his power and influence. Having bested all of these demonic opponents filled him with pride and determination. "W-W-Well, guess I'll h-have to wait for-for my next opponent to-to-to add more to the collection. Right now, I-I-I-I have a beautiful w-woman to attend to." With that said to himself, Error closed the treasury doors, reactivated the seal that only gave Error and Toriel access and teleported to just outside the underground garden where Toriel was tending to her plants. "I take it you've put your new toy away?" She asked with a smile. "Y-Yep, it's safe and sound in the trophy-y-y room." Error answered as he took a few steps forward and sat down on the grass beside his fiancé. "You've built up quite the collection dear, what will you do when you run out of room in that small room?" "I'll ex-ex-expand the cave or keep a-a few around the caves." Error answered as he kept his glitching in check to avoid killing the plant life around him. "I take it you'd use those Gaster Blasters you seem so fond of?" She recieved a nod in response. "I thought so. Where do you keep those things anyway?" "I...don't k-know..." "Best not to question it?" "Yeah." Toriel shook her head with giggling. "There is so much about you that even you yourself don't know." "I k-know, it's really s-s-s-strange." Error shook himself before standing up and holding out his hand. "Anyway, I f-f-figured would could-cluld cuddle for awhile before I-I-I have to d-deal with somepony who screw-screwed with the time steam." Toriel smiled warmly as she accreted her fiancés help as he pulled her up, only for her to tower over him due to his shortness. "Then let's get to the living room, and prepare for the cuddling of your life little skeleton." As Toriel began walkimg down one of the caves with a warm smile Error just smirked and ran after her. Author's Note This was not filler, this is important to the main plotline Ok. Here's what that first but was about. Author is Errors Displacer and Vivi isn't essentially his romantic partner but more a business partner. Years ago they created a soul capable of destroying an evil being known as Xram and a parasite known as the Nightmare Fuels. This soul was named Symbol. It was placed in a human body with no memory of its creation. As the young human Symbol faught his way through his Equestria he encountered Xram who had destroyed one of his friends universes and was after his. He managed to fight off Xram and save the rest of the Chaos Family (the displaced family everyone of my displaced belong to) and the known multiverse. However, to do so he used his life energy to add to a final attack which caused his soul to be wiped from existence shortly after the battle. Author was unable to do anything and Vivi is still shaken by the loss of her son. If you have any more questions on this feel free to ask away. //-------------------------------------------------------// Stories //-------------------------------------------------------// Stories After a very pleasant cuddle session with his fiancé, Error Sans glitched up to the surface again just outside of Ponyville. Error Monn had caused some serious damage to the town centre and a few of the surrounding buildings, all of which were under repair. It amazed him how quickly the ponies of Equestria could repair things and even rebuild towns, although that could just be summed up to the earth ponies using their strength to move things around and lift things at a faster rate, the pegasui being able to reach higher places so there was no need for unnecessary construction of so,d way to get up to upper floors or roofs and the unicorns using their magic to cast spells that could repair large chunks of the damage in the blink of an eye, of course it would have to be a group pic unicorns or a unicorn that had great magical talent and control. But Error wasn't there to admire the efficiency of these ponies. No, he was there to pay someone a visit and to find out why they had messed with the timeline he had spent so long keeping in check. "Now...w-w-where is that S-Starlight?" He teleported up to the top of a nearby tree to get a better view of the town. After scanning the area with his eyes for a few moments he spotted the mare in question who was sitting in Sugarcube Corner with her friends and the princesses. "I c-can't just teleport in-in-in-in there, I'll just scare-are the ponies t-there." He'd have to wait until she was either alone or in a more private location. "What t-to do until then-en? I could m-m-mess with the locals, bu-u-u-ut I don't think T-Tori would like m-me doing that." He teleported back down to the ground and scratched his chin in thought. "Guess I-I'll see what A-Author is up to." Nodding he snapped his fingers and a glitchy hole in reality opened up, revealing a void on the other end. Looking back at Ponyville he slowly walked into the rift before closing it off. "How did you even meet a creature like that?" Twilight asked with great interest as she, along with the rest of the mane seven, sat around a table in Sugarcube Corner with Celestia and Luna. "Oh yes, do tell. I'm sure that it must have been rather exciting and somewhat dramatic." Rarity added wth a smile, receiving nods from the other young mares. "Well, it wasn't really that exciting when we first met. He kind of just...showed up one day and has been here since." Luna answered while munching away on a chocolate donut. "Indeed, there isn't much to say about our first encounter with Error Sans other than he came with two others, his lover Toriel and a strange being known as Author and taht they all came from a place known as the void." Celestia continued as she set down her cup of tea, only for it to quickly be filled by Mrs Cake. "Really? That's it?" Twilght asked with slight disappointment, receiving nods in response. "Not all of our stories are exciting Twilight and not all powerful beings cause a big fuss when they get here either." Celestia responded as she took a bite out of her cake. Yes, I'm using the Celestia and the cake thing. "There are times where things are slowly paced and more controlled. There have been plenty of adventures with Error after that point, most dealing with other errors that appeared over time." "Wait, if he's an error then why is he hunting other errors? Aren't they the same species?" Starlight asked with curiosity. "No, they're not. Technically anyway. Error Sans is different, he was once a human that existed in another plane of existence thousands of years ago but was brought here by Author and transformed into an error. The errors he fights are mistakes in reality, they have no place in this world not do they actually posses a consciousness, they are copies of other living beings and are programmed to think similarly to the person they are based off of. All they what to do is destroy or get lost on their programmed personality and start to peruse dreams when in reality they cannot dream or aspire to anything. They don't exist, they aren't supposed to exist in the first place." Celestia answered. "Error Sans puts them down to ensure the safety and stability of this world while also saving them from themselves. They think they have consciousness, but it's an illusion." Luna added while wiping her mouth with a handkerchief. Seeing the conflicted expressions on the ponies faces Luna sighed and looked them all on the eye. "We've gone over this topic for centuries, there's no way to even bring them into reality as a whole, they're in constant pain and they don't know what's going on when they attack, they kill without knowing why. Error is doing them a favour, the only thing they can really feel...is sadness and pain." "How about we move away from this topic?" Rarity suggested, feeling the tension in the room. "How about you tell us why Error was brought here, other than to kill other errors I mean." Both of the princesses looked to each other strangely before turning back to the mares. "That's something we've never been able to find out." They said in unison. ??? As Author set another book down and reached for another he felt a disturbance nearby. Turning around he saw Error walkimg through the rift and into the void. "Oh, it's just you Error." "Y-Y-You sound disappointed-ed. We're you-you expecting any-y-yone?"" Author sighed and turned back around. "No, I wasn't waiting for anyone Error, have a seat." "Still l-l-looking out for-or the shards-ards of your son?" Error asked as he sat down on a chair that appeared beside the desk. "No, not yet, the Multiverese is a big place and I have many of my other displaced trying to fix that." Error just stared. He picked up one of the books and began to read. "I see you've re-re-returned to w-writing, having fun?" Author stopped writing and sighed. "It helps take my mind off of everything, it's enjoyable as well so I might as wel do it." "Y-You'll find him e-e-eventually. If you know that he's a-a-alive, there's a c-chance that he'll s-show up. You just have to-to-to wait..." Author's Note Yes, getting into plot territory with Author and Error, Gotta have an ongoing storyline in these kinds of things. And sorry, this ending wasn't my best, I hit a bit of writers block at the last part :twilightsheepish: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightsheepish.png Feel free to point out any mistakes I have made, thank you. //-------------------------------------------------------// Confrontation //-------------------------------------------------------// Confrontation As Starlight walked out of Sugarcube Corner she had the strangest feeling that she was being watched. Of course she was, Error was hiding away making sure to only appear when she was alone, glitching from alley to alley, roof to roof as he followed her from a distance, also making sure that no other ponies noticed him. Starlight began to feel a magical disturbance nearby, like when Error Moon had appeared. As she took one step inside the castle ropes immediately wrapped around her body and Error appeared in from of her. "Hello-o-o-o Starlight. Let's h-have a little talk." She wanted to scream, but soon found herself in the middle of a garden, Toriels garden. The ropes were gone but Error still stood before her with his hands in his hoodies pocket while he looked at her with his teeth forming a frown. "W-What's going on? Where am I?" "Y-Y-You're in my f-fiancés underground garden." Error answered simply. "This is-is-is my home." He spoke as softly as possible. This was an important conversation, one that he needed her to be calm for. Sure, his methods of him getting her there weren't the best way to achieve this, but it sped things along. "Why bring me here? What do you want?" Starlight asked, her fear slowly sending away as she took in the calming sight of the garden around her. Error reached into his pocket and pulled out a scroll and unfolded it, causing Starlight to gasp as she saw its contents. "That...that's the time travel spell! I thought it was destroyed, how did you get it?!" Error frowned and rolled the scroll back up. "So y-you remember this-this spell?" "Of course I do! I did terrible things with that spell. I can never forget what I saw using that spell." Starlight exclaimed as she tried to tear the spell with her magic, only for Error to snap his fingers and a rope tied itself around Starlights horn, cancelling her telekinetic magic. "What the?" "I made s-s-s-sure that this spe-e-ell would never be completed. And y-yet, you find a-a-a way to enhance it." Error shook his head. "That damn w-wizard never kn-knew when to just-just quit." "Wizard? Do you mean Starswirl?" Error nodded before he snapped his fingers and a Gaster Blastet appeared and destroyed the scroll as Error threw it into the air, causing Starlight to stare in fear. "I've f-f-fought to keep t-this world balanced. To kee-eep it from fault. T-Tike travel is dama-damaging to the w-world, it breaks it apart at the seams. Creates m-mistakes in reality." Error explained as he sent the Gaster Blaster back to wherever it was from, "I have t-tried to ke-e-ep this world working f-for millennia, and n-now you come along an-an-and create more p-p-problems." Starlight just stared in shock, confusion and regret. "I...I didn't realise...I didn't know that it would-" "O-Of course you didn't." Error interrupted, rendering her silent. "I k-k-know that, that's why-y-y I'm not going to-to-to-to hold it against you." As she was about to thank him he silenced her again. "However, y-you must know tha-that even though no one wa-wa-was harmed, the u-universe could have shut down." He warned in a strict but calm voice, well, as much as he could with his speech. "The world could have shut down?" Starlight asked with fear. "Yes. The code of the-the world would have b-been broken, everything w-w-would disappear. I would be-be-be able to fix things sure-ure, but I wouldn't be a-able to save all of the l-l-living things in this w-world. You'd die-ie-ie and never move on, you'd cease to e-exist, your consciousness an-anyway. It would j-just be a copy o-of you taking your place." Error explained as his frown lowered even more. "It's a sad fac-act my friend. That is why I-I-I cannot stop fighting, t-this world doesn't n-need more errors." ??? Deep in the void a large cloud of dark purple mist watched everything take place. It watched as Starlight and Error had their little conversation while also paying attention to the others going on in the world. Anyway. It watched everything happen, a series of dark laughs could be heard as the mist began to converge on one spot and a body began to form. It was humanoid in appearance, its face only having two wide circle shaped glowing yellow eyes as the rest of its body began to form. It had no mouth and took on a shape similar to that of a young human male. It grew four dark tendrils out of its back and looked to the world he was watching. "Those Errors and glitches get way too much fun in this world." It spoke darkly as it changed its fingers into claws and glared at Error Sans. "Oh right, another one of Authors displaced, I can tell this is going to go swimmingly." The creature stopped looking into the universe and let out a loud growl of some sort that appeared to reach a number of people or other beings in the distance. Soon the darkness around it began to light up with more glowing yellow eyes with more mist entering the area. "We have found another one of the displaced that pose a threat to our Kings and Xrams plan, we must destroy this world before he becomes more of a problem than he already is." There was whispers amounts the gathered creatures before all of the eyes vanished and the mist seeped into the universe with the first creature following close behind. It looked to its claw for a moment before clenching his hand into a fist and charging off to find some way of causing a disturbance, it wanted the ponies and other beings to know that they were there. Author's Note And now we're getting more and more into the main storyline which revolves around these creatures. Sorry if it seems of poor quality, I've been slipping as of late with a few of my stories. Point out any errors or mistakes I may have made. //-------------------------------------------------------// Couples conversation //-------------------------------------------------------// Couples conversation "You handled that better than I expected Error." Toriel said happily as she cut Error a slice of butterscotch pie as they sat down in their dining room, just a dug out area with a blue table with a flowerpot in the middle and six chairs, two along the sides with one at each end. The room was lit by the glowing crystals which also provided the plant with artificial sunlight. A small tunnel connected this room to the kitchen to make things easier on those living there. "H-H-How else did you t-think I was going to ha-ha-handle it?" Error asked with his usual smile as he watched his lover place the slice of pie in front of him. Toriel shrugged as she sat down on the chair next to Errors as she cut her own slice of pie. "I figured you'd be more hostile towards Starlight, given the nature of the situation." Toriel saw Errors smile falter. "The subject was something that you hold at a very high standard, it's not like you to be calm about someone interfering in the code of the universes." "I-I-I know. But this w-wasn't like the other times. She d-didn't know the real effects-ects of the s-s-spell." It had taken a lot for Error to not just wipe Starlight from the code of the universe. He had spent thousands of years getting the code of the world into a perfect condition, now that work was reversed. Not only did that set him back, but it also put every living being in that world in danger of their code becoming corrupt. "Well, I'm glad you didn't let your emotions do the talking and dealt with it the way you did." Toriel leaned over and planted a kiss on Errors forehead, causing his smile to return. "There's a happy skeleton." "Well, it's k-k-k-kinda hard to no-not be happy with you around-ound." Error teased while using his strings to pull her close to him and placed his forehead on hers, causing her to giggle before wrapping her arms around him. "I love you Garic." She whispered softly. "I l-love you too Megan." Error replied, doing his best to keep his glitch out of his voice while saying it. Whenever they had a tender moment or needed to be serious, they would use their own names, not the names of their characters. Even after thousands of years, their love stayed strong, disagreements were far and few, almost centuries apart. While stuck with each other underground for over a century, it's a wonder how they still keep each other entertained and keep the relationship interesting. No one could deny the bond they shared. Brought into an unfamiliar world together and they stayed together. Looking out for each other and making up for the others flaws. "You know, I want to visit the surface again." Toriel said quietly as she hugged her significant other. "R-Really?" "Yeah, I've been down here for a thousand years, I'd like to see how everything has changed since we were last on the surface together." "Alright th-then." They finished off their slices of pie before getting out of their seats. Toriel took Errors hand as he glitched them up to the surface. They didn't need physical contact for that though, she just wanted to be close to him. Ponyville "So he just showed up and kidnapped you?" Twilght asked Starlight concerned. "He didn't kidnap me, he just brought me somewhere we could talk in private and then brought me back to the castle." Starlight assured as she explained what had happened to the mane six who were all very interested in what she had to say about the newcomer. "Where'd he take you anyway?" Rainbow Dadh added while hovering beside Starlight. "To an underground garden in his home." "You were underground?" Twilight asked interested. "Yeah, we were inside Canterlot mountain. He's got an entire tunnel system in there that acts as his home." "I-It's cozier than y-y-you'd think." They all heard the voice of Error speak nearby. Looking over to the right the mares saw Error and Toriel standing together. Toriel was busy taking in the changed world while Error looked to the mares. "Couldn't help b-but hear you lo-ot taking about little o-o-old me." As Twilight was about to speak up, Fluttershy pushed to the front of the group. "Oh my gosh! A goat!" She rushed over to Toriel and began examine each part of her with great interest. "I've never seen this species of goat before. What food do you eat? Can you talk at all? Can you-" Fluttershy just began bombarding Toriel with questions, so while she was busy Error turned back to the girls. "So...what do yo-o-o-o-ou girls d-do for fun around h-here?" "Um, mister Errir, if you wouldn't mind, I'd actually like to ask you a few questions." Twilight tried with confidence, only to fail. "S-Sorry kid, but there's t-t-things about me you d-do NOT want or n-need to know." Error quickly countered as he meddled with his strings. "You ain't g-g-getting anything out o-of me." Twilight sighed and threw her quill and paper. "Fine. What are you doing on the surface anyway?" "T-Toriel wanted to see the-the-the surfaces again after one thousand years. We've w-waited until we-we-we were once again needed-ed. With other e-e-errors showing up a again, w-we need to be-be on the surface." The mares all looked to each other worriedly, remembering what Error Moon was like, fearing more would appear. To know there was someone in the world that could fight of the nightmarish creatures gave them all hope that they could survive. As they turned to watch Fluttershy interact with Toriel they all missed the figure from the void looking down at them. Error sensed something nearby and looked up, seeing it standing in a cloud of dark fog. He narrowed his eyes as he glitched up to the cliff that the figure had been on. When he took a step forward her readied a Gaster blaster as he saw two glowing red dots in the mist. A claw was swung at him but he dodged and fired a beam with the blaster. This repeated for a few moments before he summoned more Gaster blasters, surrounding himself in them before preparing to fire. Author's Note Sorry fir the wait. Feel free to point out any mistakes. Hope you enjoyed. //-------------------------------------------------------// Nightmares //-------------------------------------------------------// Nightmares Error fired the Gaster blasters that surrounded him and cleared away the dark mist. The creature that had been hiding jumped out of the way of a blast only to get a black bone shot into its chest, causing it to fly back into the side of the mountain. Error used one hand to shoot strings towards the creature, wrapping it up as it feel from the mountains side and began spinning it around before slamming it into the ground. The creature growled before breaking into a puff of purple smoke, reassembling behind Error. It shot it's tendrils forward to try and stab Error in the back, but a Gaster blaster suddenly appeared beside it and blasted it point blank. Error held out his hand and a purple heart appeared in front of the creatures chest. Error smirked and moved his hand upwards, causing it to float up before he slammed into a pile of black and red bones. He used his free hand to create more bones, using them to build walls around the creature before he started furiously basing it into every single wall of bones, much like Sans did to frisk in the genocide boss fight. Error was knocked back off the edge of the cliff when the creature created a huge explosion of dark purple energy, freeing it from Errirs grasp and destroying the bones. Error glitched back into his previous spot while in free fall and smirked. "W-W-Well, looks like s-somebody's getting aggravated." The creature got to its feet and growled with a gleam in its glowing yellow eyes. "Why must we encounter one of Authors displaced everywhere we go?" It asked no one with a great deal of anger. "First Metal Sonic, then those Galactic Rangers and now you. Why must you all insist on getting in our way?!" Error gave out a glitched chuckle before putting his hands in his hoodie pockets. "Well you s-s-see, we d-don't want our world-orlds turned to as-ash or anything, so w-w-w-we'll just keep destroying everything that t-threatens our homes." Error didn't give it time to finish as he wrapped his strings around the heart and began to pull, effectively slicing it to pieces, causing the creature to turn into a cloud of purple mist before it came together and created a dark purple orb. Error smiled as he walked over and took the orb in his hand before opening a hole in reality and tossing it through. Now, you didn't think I'd keep a fight scene that short did you? Suddenly more and more of the creatures began to appear around him, their yellow eyes glowing with hate. They all flexed their claws before shooting their tendrils towards him. He glitched out of the way and grabbed one in his ropes before using it to strike other creatures. Once he was done with it he tossed it into their air where it was impaled by multiple bones, forming into an orb like the last one. He was caught by surprise as one of the creatures appeared behind him and slashed his back with its claw before wrapping it's tendrils around his arms and legs, holding him in place while all the creatures began stabbing, slashing, punching, kicking and blasting him. He managed to snap his fingers, causing Gaster blasters to appeare in from of each creature before blasting them away. He glitched out of reality for a moment and reappeared with no damage visible on his body. "Heheh...y-you'll have to do be-better than that-at." He taunted while smirking. All the creatures got to their feet and held out their claws, they all aimed at Error and unleashed a combined barrage of blasts. Error opened a hole in reality and accessed the code of the universe, altering it slightly to slow down time. Once it was slowed he jumped out of the way of the oncoming barrage and jumped from creature to creature. Stabbing bones into their bodies, placing Gaster blasters around them and wrapping them in strings. He jumped to a safe location and fixed the code, causing time to go back to normal. The blasters fired, the creatures felt the bones pierce their bodies and those in the ropes were split apart, all in one fell swoop. "Code al-al-alteration. G-Gotta love it." Error said as he watched all of the creatures form into orbs. He smiled as he snapped his fingers, causing the ground on the clif to open a hole in reality, causing the orbs to be sent somewhere that they could be destroyed. He closed the hole and sighed. "W-Well...that's enough ex-ex-excitement for o-one day." Nearby, a soft white glow appeared before Toriel took its place. "There you are, I sensed something was wrong and felt reality opening up, I assume you were fighting something?" She asked while walking over to her fiancé. "Y-Yeah, sorry for d-ditching you all like-ike-ike that. I found a-a few Nightmare Fuels, took c-care of 'em." "It's alright, I know how much you like getting into these battles because you get to use coding to fight. Besides, Thai isn't the first time you've disappeared to fight some strange creature." "Heheh, y-yeah." "Well come on, everyone is probably wondering where we've gone to. Author can deal with the Nightmares orbs, right now I think we should get something to eat, using the code makes you hungry." Error smiled and nodded, allowing Toriel to teleport them back her way instead of him glitching them there. In the trees, one lone Nightmare Fuel stood with its fists clenched and it's tendrils ready to strike. "Weaklings, I should never have brought such young Nightmares to a world with a reality bender displaced." The Nightmare growled before forming into a dark cloud of mist and fled deep into the woods, ready to hatch a new plan to kill the displaced and ponies of this world. Author's Note As usual please feel free to point out any mistakes and I hope you enjoyed. The Nightmare Fuels will be explained next chapter. //-------------------------------------------------------// Less than appropriate //-------------------------------------------------------// Less than appropriate The ponies watched wide eyed as Error pulled out a ketchup bottle and began to drink from it. He felt their stares and held out the bottle. "W-W-What? You want s-some?" The mares shook their heads. "Eh, al-al-alright then, m-more for me." With that he went back to drinking the contents of the bottle. Toriel chuckled at the ponies reactions and took a sip of her tea. The group all sat around a table in Sugarcube Corner, Celestia having requested that the shop be clear as to avoid awkward stares so they could have some privacy, the Cakes understood and set up tables outside the bakery for the day instead. Rainbow Dash raised a brow as she looked Error over. "Hey, Error Sans." "Y-Yeah?" "I saw you fighting for a bit and from the looks of things you're pretty fast, but how can you be so quick if you're so tubby?" She asked gesturing to his lower torso. "Rainbow Dash! Have you any idea how rude it is to say such things?!" Rarity scolded. "H-Hey hey, it-it-it's alright, she's j-just asking a question-ion." Error reassured the fashionista before turning to Rainbow. "R-Rainbow, I'm not tub-tubby." He got out of his seat, took off his hoodie and lifted off his shirt, revealing the black bones underneath. Fluttershy looked away, Pinkie just stared fasinated with Twilight, Rarity fainted, Applejack rolled her eyes and Rainbow tilted her head in confusion. "I'm a sk-skeleton. I-I can't gain or-or-or lose weight, I'm light, s-so my movements are swifter than m-most." Toriel just smirked at seeing his exposed body and hummed to herself. "Wait if yer a skeleton...and yer engaged to Toriel...how do you two...y'know?" Applejack asked curiously. "Applejack!" Rarity scolded. "Oh as if you didn't want ta ask as well!" Error placed his clothes back on and sat back down. "Simple, m-magic." He answered while looking to Toriel who just shook her head. Celestia and Luna sighed and took sips from their drinks. "So, when are you two actually getting married?" Pinkie asked. Error leaned back in his seat and glanced at Toriel, signalling her to take the lead. "Well, you see, we want to have a baby before we actually do get married." She explained. "Huh, usually it's the reverse...or the marriage comes from an accident..." Rarity mumbled. "Hasn't that happened to a few mares in your family Applejack?" "So many pitchfork weddings..." The apple farmer groaned while covering her face with her hat. "So you've been trying for a baby?" Celestia asked while setting her cup down. "Well, yes. But we don't exactly make love that often." "Y-Yeah, we've been m-m-mostly sleeping these past-ast thousands y-years." Error explained while pulling out a juice box once his ketchup was finished. "That and Errors...hesitance." Toriel added quietly. "Why is he hesitant?" Twilight asked. "Because of m-my body." Error quickly said. "I-I'm a g-g-g-glitch it reality, m-my body shouldn't exist. If I w-were to have a ki-ki-ki-kid, how would th-they come out?" "Wait, can't you just rewrite the 'code' of the universe to make sure it came out ok?" Twilight suggested. "I-I am not mess-mess-messing with my child's birth-irth." Error shut down the idea quickly. "Some t-things are n-n-never to be manipulated in s-such ways." "We thought of it before, but we don't want to interfere with something like that. It's not that Error wants our child to look normal, he's worried about its possible powers and abilities and if it would be another error that would throw this world out of balance, which he'd have to..." "S-Stop." Error glitched over to the door. "I'm going for-for a w-walk, s-s-see you later." Before anyone could say anything he was gone. All the ponies outside stared at him for a moment before he disappeared. Inside the code of the Ominverse Error glitched his way into the code and began walking through the labyrinth of coding, his hands in his pockets, being careful not to alter anything. Soon, he came to a small area clear of code. A circular desk stood in the middle of the void space with computer monitors all around the place, showing various universes and the code being linked up to them. There stood a figure he hadn't seen in awhile. "Error Sans, there you are, I was starting to believe I was forgotten." The figure spoke with a robotic echo on its voice. It turned around and revealed itself as a Gaster, but different. The left side of his face was covered with black metal, it's eye being a circle in some circuitry paterns. His right hand was robotic as well. He wore a coat that spilt at the bottom around the back and stuck out slightly. "Digi-Gaster, it-it-it's been a long t-time." Error greeted his old friend. "So, what brings you to the centre of all creation? Did you find another corrupt universe you need to we from the code like you did with those alternative timelines of that ome displaced? What was his name agin? Lord Meta...something like that." Error sat down in a chair that materialised behind him. "N-Nah, just though I'd-I'd stop by, also, t-to get out of an un-uncomfortable topic back home." "Someone bring up having kids again?" Error nodded. "Well as long as you're here you can relax or look for a corrupt universe or whatever." Error nodded and lay back in his seat. "S-So, what's new?" "Nothing really, just waiting." "F-For what?" "...anything." Author's Note Little appearance from my own AU Gaster, Digi-Gaster. His AU is still under development though, just thought it would be cool to show. If you see any errors please point them out. Thank you and I hope you enjoyed. //-------------------------------------------------------// Day in the code //-------------------------------------------------------// Day in the code Error walked slowly through the never ending dimension of code, thinking to himself while also quickly fixing any broken code he came across, which was second nature to him at that point. The code welcomes him, it seeing him as a part of itself after he spent so much time manipulating the code and naturally bonded with it. Soon he came across an area that appeared to be heavily damaged and hastily rearranged. Curious, Error opened a portal to the void to see what area of reality he was in. He took a quick glance at the universe in that Multiverese before groaningg and rolling his eyes and closing the portal. "That R-R-Rick and his g-grandson Morty-y-y...always stirring up-up trouble." He sighed and got to work repairing the broken code and rearranged it so that the words that suffered damage wouldn't be affected by Rick or Mortys antics. "I r-really should kill-kill that guy, he j-just causes problems for ev-everyone-one and ruins realities." Once the final piece of code was repaired he pulled a notepad and pen out of the code and made a note to destroy Rick at a later date once his purpose in the multiverse was fulfilled, as to avoid more problems and damage. "While I-I do enjoy the sh-show, I'd p-prefer to not have-have to deal with t-the aftermath that follows." With that noted, he continued his stroll through the infinite code, occasionally looking into other realities and checking up on displaced he knew of. He was keeping his eye on one in particular, one he didn't like in the slightest, who was too powerful for his own good. He even had to completely erase an entire reality from the code and replace it because of something that displaced had done to another. Although that was a task that took about three months to do. It was like a copy and paste thing, but he had to cut certain things out and reverse the effects on the victim of that displaced before returning them to their own universe. Every time he looked into that displaceds universe he struggled to not just jump in and kill him for what he had saw. "O-One day..." He was giving this person a chance to show that they could be better. If he didn't improve, he'd go in for the kill. He shook his head and moved away from that section of the multiverse. He pulled a box of pizza out of the code and began to happily snack away. He liked his pizza a certain way, his favourite being a cheese based pizza with no ketchup and slices of cooked ham on the top. He preferred ketchup as a drink, not on foods. The food acted as a pleasant distraction as he moved away from that displaced and moved on. He pulled a chair out of the code, sat down with the pizza and opened a portal to a reality where ponies were locked in a deadly war with the changelings. He just smiled as he watched a large battle take place. He was never one for large conflicts and didn't really feel comfortable with seeing ponies die, but over the many centuries he had lived and explored he came to accept that violence is part of reality and that people die in conflicts. He had even come to enjoy watching the ponies bash the changelings heads in, but moved away from any pony deaths or just used the code to change it into just an injury instead of death, where another pony could save them and bring them to safety. Although, with his new body and shifted personality, he did enjoy many dark things. He winced and chuckled darkly as he saw a large stallion soldier rip a changeling in two, uses its intestines as a rope to tie the two hands together to make a pair of corpse nunchucks. "M-M-Man, that is brutal...d-don't see myself-elf doing that th-though." He chuckled and bit into his pizza as he watched the huge warrior use his enemy's corpse against its comrades. After an hour of watching type battle he got bored and closed the portal. "I think I've-I've been a-away for long enough-ough." He threw the items he had back into the code to return them to their universes before jumping into a portal back to his home reality. Error landed just outside of Ponyville and looked up to see the moon rising high into the night sky. His smile faltered as he remembered why he had decided to leave that reality for awhile in the first. He knew Toriel was smart enough to not try to talk about it with him, he was just worried the ponies might try to apologise to him and bring the conversation up again, something he really didn't want. He took in a breath and signed, which of course came out glitched. He sat down on the grass green grass abd looked up at the stars before looking to his hands and legs, then his chest and then placed a hand on his face. He sighed again as he fell back and lay with his limbs spread out. "H-How am I e-e-ever gonna have a-a kid like th-this?" Deep underground in the caves, Toriel walked out of the bathroom with a small device in her hand. She lay her back against a wall and looked at it strangely. The pregnancy test in her had kept switching from positive to negative, not that it was unexpected but it was still concerning. She couldn't feel anything wring in her body, so it was strange to see the test act in such a way. After a few moments, it stopped. Toriel looked at the final result and sighed, a mixture of joy abd slight dread. "How am I going to tell Garic this?" She hid the test away and walked off towards the bedroom to wait for her lovers return and to think about what she would say when he came back. Author's Note Yeah. You all know where this is going. Don't worry, another error shall appear soon. //-------------------------------------------------------// Another //-------------------------------------------------------// Another Errors eyes slowly opened as he woke himself up. Instead of the ceiling of his bedroom to greet him, it was the blue morning sky. Confused, Error sat up and looked around, finding himself in a field near Ponyville. "Oh g-g-geez, did I f-fall asleep out here-here?" He r in bed the back of his head and wiped the grass off of his back before standing up and doing some streches. "Well, I'd b-b-better get to the cave-ave for bre-re-reakfast, otherwise T-Tori will get annoyed at me." He was about to glitch through reality back to the cave when he suddenly sensed two powerful energy sources enter the world. "O-Oh no..." Meanwhile Toriel opened her eyes to find that she was still alone in the bed. Confused she rubbed her eyes and sat up slowly, looking around to try and find any trace of her lover, but found nothing. "Ok...he's either still out in the void or he fell asleep somewhere again..." She yawned and slowly got out of the bed to prepare some breakfast. Suddenly, she started to feel sick in her stomach, causing her to rush to the bathroom where she vomited into the toilet. After getting her breathing under control she placed a have to her belly and sighed. "I need to find a way to cover that up for when Garic is here." Standing up, she slowly made her way to the kitchen. Once her stomach had settled she breathed through her nose and sighed as she looked to her belly which gently rubbing it. "I'll tell you one thing, you've certainly got timing..." Taking in another breath, she slightly quickened her pace. Once she reached the kitchen she immediately began preparing pancakes for herself and her fiancé, but her slightly shaky hands made it difficult for her. "Would you like a hand?" Toriel was used to people showing up suddenly out of nowhere after living with Error for so long. She turned around and found Author standing there with an open book in his hand and a gentle smile on his face. "Oh, Author, I wasn't expecting to see you." Toriel said in pleasant suprise. "Well. I figured I'd pay you a visit since we haven't seen each other in over a thousand years." Author responded with a warm smile and looked to her stomach. "That, and I figured you'd like to talk about what you are expecting." Toriels smile faded to a frown. "Oh...so you know..." "Of course I do, I monitor all of my displaceds health and stability. So, I found out that you were pregnant once I sensed another soul beginning to develop inside of you." Toriel raised a brow. "You monitor us?" Author rolled his eyes and closed his book. "I don't watch you, I just know if you're hurt, in danger or your life forces are alright. I'd rather not watch whatever my displaced do in their spare time, especially you and Garic." Toriel blushed slightly and shook her head. "Well, that makes sense I guess." Author nodded and walked over to his displaced and took the utensils out of her hands and motioned for her to sit down. "Alright, then why don't you talk about this while I make you something to eat?" In a large field on the other side of Canterlot Mountain "Alright, t-t-the energy sources-es are somewhere around h-here." Error spoke quietly as he looked around, trying to pinpoint the locations of each of the newcomers in the world. He began feeling a large pulse of broken energy coming from a few feet to his right. Turning he slowly walked over to what appeared to be a shard of a broken mirror lightly floating in between the blades of tall grass. "W-What's this?" When he reached down to picked it up, he pulled his hand back after feeling something odd about it. It's code was frozen, unmoving and unchanging. Essentially, frozen in time. He slipped his hand under it and it hovered over his skeletal palm. He held it up to his face and stared into it, seeing what appeared to be Ponyville in a world full of glitches. Suddenly, he felt the other source of energy coming towards his location at blinding speeds. He barely had time to react as something zoomed past him, cooking to a stop just a few feet away. When Error regained his composure he looked over to see another displaced. The shiny robot version of Sonic the Hedgehog stood there looking at him. "Hey buddy, I'm gonna need that portal shard there, could you please hand it over?" He asked with the voice of a young man mixed with a robotic buzz. Error smirked, knowing who it was. "W-Well, this is c-c-certainly a suprise, I didn't-didn't expect to find another-other one of A-Author's displaced here." "Yeah, real exciting. Look, I'm really busy and I really need that shard, can you just give it to me? He asked impatiently. Errors smirked faded. "And w-what exactly would y-you be needing a shard to a b-broken world for?" "That's my own business pal, I know you're one of Author's displaced so just give it to me so I don't have to fight you. I am in no mood to fight today and you know I'd just kick your ass all over the multiverse and beyond." 'This guys code is messed up too...he's out of sinc with reality...or is he just in a period ahead of his current timeline?' Error quickly opened a hole in reality to Metals world and saw him there before closing the hole. 'Ahead of time it is then.' "Fine, I'll just take it. Chaos Control!" Suddenly time stopped in the world and Metal walked over to the frozen Error and took the shard in his claw. "There we go..." He pulled out a small sack filled with other shards and set it in before placing the bag in his storage unit. "Alright, I'm done here." He walked away and snapped his fingers, causing time to return to normal. Error blinked and looked to his empty hand and smirked. "O-Oh you cheeky li-little..." He looked to Metal walking away and summoned three Gaster Blasters. Metal sensed them and instantly moved a full foot to his side and avoided the blasts before turning around and scanning the Blasters. "Gaster Blaster data retrieved..." He spoke automatically before snapping his fingers, summoning three of his own Blasters, only dark blue instead of black and fired them, destroying Errors on Blasters. "You knew that wouldn't work." "I-I-I know, just wanted a little revenge after you-you cheated me t-there." Error chuckled. Metal rolled his eyes and snapped his fingers, causing a portal to the void to open beside him. "Well, I got what I came here for, I'm outta here. If Author asks if I was here you didn't see anything." Error tilted his head in confusion. "I'm guessing y-you'll be back here-ere eventually?" Metal shrugged and jumped into the portal, causing it to close behind him. Error glitched back underground and chuckled. "Crazy k-kids..." Author's Note Yep, a little appearance from my first displaced story. If you'd like to see more of Metal, you can check out his story here. (https://www.fimfiction.net/story/280371/the-metal-condition) Metal will be appearing in a more important arc later on, right now we're just getting a few things established before continuing with the main plot. Another error will appear soon. //-------------------------------------------------------// Incomplete //-------------------------------------------------------// Incomplete Error and Discord stood watching the newcomer approach. "Well, a-a-about time-time another Error showed u-up." "But why would an Error ever choose the form of a low level magic user such as Trixie?" Discord asked with a raised brow. "Hey! I heard that!" The two looked up to see Trixie pulling her cart along a mountain path. "Well, then why don't YOU come down here and fight it?! It is your clone after all!" Discord called back. Trixie remained quiet and walked on. "Thought so." Error rolled his eyes and readied a Gaster Blaster as his eyes followed Error Lulamoon. The glitched version of the magician looked around and its gaze landed on the two reality warpers. "S-So, you-you two shall be my aud-audience for today? The G-G-Great and Poweful-ful Trixie shall dazzle and a-amaze you!" Error smirked and summoned a large red bone into his hand. "Alright, there's o-only one of-of her, and she seems-seems pretty weak. T-This shouldn't be-be a p-p-problem for us-us." Just then, they felt another presence. Error glitched out of the way of a glitchy magic blast and turned to the newcomer. An Error Sunset Shimmer stood there with a smirk on her face. "I w-will be given-en what I deserve! I-I-I will be a pr-pr-princess!" Error and Discord groaned as they went back to back to face the two Errors. "I know you're the only one of us that can actually wipe them from existence, but I'll do what I can with Trixor over here." Discord stated while he summoned a mass of cotton candy clouds which blocked out the sky. Just as they were about to attack, they felt a third presence. "O-Oh what now?!" Turning to face the third error, Discord and Error groaned as they say it was an Error Starlight. "Ok, so we've got Error Lulamoon, Error Shimmer and Error Glimmer. This should be fun..." Error Glimmer summoned a glitched and broken version of the staff the real Starlight had used in her old town and pointed it at the duo. "Ok, is-is this t-the last one-e-e?" Error asked annoyed. After a few moments of silence he nodded. "Ok, g-good." Suddenly he threw his hand foreward and the Gaster Blaster fired a large beam towards Error Glimmer who dodged it and glitched up to Error. Error swung the bone in his hand while his opponent swung the staff. The two struggled against each other before Error glitched to the side, grabbed Error Glimmer by the mane and slammed her into the ground before snapping his fingers, causing bones to shoot out from under the ground and impaled the corrupt pony. Error was then blasted in the back by Error Shimmer, who glitched behind him and knocked him down. She attempted to stab him with her horn but he glitched out from under her and blasted her point blank with three Gaster Blasters. While he was preoccupied, Error Glimmer glitched off of the bones. She fell to the ground and held her head while crying out in pain. Discord knocked Error Lulamoon away with a large steel baseball bat covered in barbed wire before looking to the screaming error. "What's up with her?" Error turned Error Shimmers heart blue and tossed her to the side before turning around and sighing. "Her b-body is struggling to-to keep itself in re-reality. This world-world is rejecting her. I don't t-think she was d-d-developed enough like these-these other two." Discord just watched as her body gliched, stretched, broke apart and reassembled itself over and over while she cried out in pain. "I'll hold these two off, you just go put her out of her misery..." He spoke emotionlessly as he whacked Error Lulamoon with the bat which exploded into sticky cotton candy on impact, holding her down. Error nodded and threw Error Shimmer over to Discord before glitching over to the screaming piece of corruption. He kneeled down beside her and placed a hand in her head, causing her to stop and fall limp as her body froze and began to fade away. "Shhhhh...it-it's almost over..." Error whispered with a tear in his eye. He was erasing her corrupt code, first wiping her conciousness so she didn't suffer, before destroying the body. Discord wrapped his body around the two errors and began to crush them. They grunted before glitching out and blasting the Draconequus in the sides. He yelped I'm suprise before zapping them with lighting from his clouds. He then snapped his fingers and opened up two portals, one on the ground and the other directly above it. He grabbed the two errors and threw them in, causing a never ending cycle of the two falling into the ground portal and coming out the floating one, only to fall back into the one on the ground. Once Error was finished her walked over and threw some bones into the portals, which stabbed into the two as they fell continuously. Both he and Discord sat down and just watched with slight amusement, Discord summoning popcorn while Error pulled a bottle of ketchup out of the code. "I'm not the best when it comes to comforting people, but are you alright? You seem torn up about what Error Glimmer just went through before you...y'know, wiped her from existence." Error gulped down the contents of the ketchup bottle before throwing it back into the code. "I just h-hate seeing people suffer-er. With the o-other errors, they-they are stuck in b-between existence and non-existence. That is t-the worst pain-ain imaginable." "Do you experience that pain?" "I d-did for awhile, but I-I'm supposed to exist-ist, my soul a-anyway, so the pain-pain went away-ay after reality a-a-accepted my body's e-existence." After awhile of watching the two errors continuously fall, Error destroyed them with his strings and wiped their code before parting ways with Discord and glitching back underground to get some rest. Error Glimmer was permanently stuck in his mind now. The sight of her body fading in and out if reality was painfully to watch, but it just kept replaying over and over like a song in repeat. He closed his eyes as he climbed under the covers of his bed and drifted off to sleep, Luna keeping his mind clear while he slept as to not disturb him with any nightmares. He knew that pain well. The pain of being incomplete. What he wanted was to stop anyone else from experiencing that kind of pain ever again. Author's Note Sorry this took so long. Hope you enjoyed anyway. If you see any mistakes point them out please, it helps me out a ton. //-------------------------------------------------------// Unwelcome revelation //-------------------------------------------------------// Unwelcome revelation The next day, at the entrance to the Everfree Forest, five young fillies looked to the forest that led to the edge of Canterlot Mountain. "Are ya sure ya saw some weird new creature come from here?" Applebloom asked as she looked deep into the dark forest. "Of course I am. There was some strange monster hanging around the princesses and your sisters, it was like a creature from one of the stories my daddy read to me when I was little." Diamond Tiara replied with confidence. "Legend says, there's a being living inside of Canterlot Mountain, a being that shouldn't exist in any world, once a great ally to the Princesses before Nightmare Moons banishment." "And I assume you dragged us all out here to help you look for it?" Scootaloo asked dryly. "I know we're friends now, but can you please not force us to go on random monster hunts? We've got our cutie marks now, we don't need to try to be monster hunters...as much as I would have liked to be." She said looking to her cutie mark with a raised brow. "What do your cutie marks even mean?" Silver Spoon asked in curiosity. "We have no idea." The three crusaders stated bluntly. "I mean, I know mine is singing because of the music note, and Appleblooms is something to do with apples..." "Still tryin' ta figure out exactly in what way." Applebloom interrupted. "...and we assume Scootaloos is speed with the wing, but she only goes fast with her scooter...we're still trying to figure it all out..." Sweetie Belle finished with a confused expression. "Well enough chit chat, let's go find us a monster!" Diamond cheered before trotting off into the dark forest, Silver Spoon following close behind. The three crusaders shrugged before following them. As per usual when they took a stroll through the Firest they were surrounded by sounds of the various predators roaming around, those sounding close causing the five to stick close to each other to feel more secure. Eventually after branching off from the path that led to Zecoras home, the group came to the very edge of the large mountain that held their capital city above their heads. "Alright, we've just got to find a cave that leads underground, that's where it's home is." Diamond stated as she began walking along the side of the mountain to look for caves or any form of entrance. Error just sat in a tree and watched them all from above. "S-S-Seems to me that s-she's a natural-al born leader, if a-a bit stuck-stuck up." Error gave out a glitchy chuckle before glitching to a new spot to keep them in his field of vision. "At least s-some of t-t-the ponies noticed I was here." Error glitched from spot to spot, watching as the group of fillies walked alongside the the mountains edge, keeping an eye on them while also chuckling at their banter. His attention was mainly on Sweetie Belle though, as he felt something in her code, something that seemed off. It's what had made him come back to the surface that day anyway, other than to spend his time messing with the locals, watching the foals and their antics was just an added bonus. He was about to humour them and create a tunnel further ahead that would lead to Toriels garden, but they soon came across a large open cave that Error knew was only recently dug out. "Great! We found a cave! Let's see if it leads down." Scootaloo exclaimed as she ran towards the dark cave entrance. As she ran, the others looked upmand saw large claw marks around the entrance, their ears folding back as their eyes widened. "Scootaloo wait!" Applebloom and Sweetie Belle called out, with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon running after her. Suddenly, two large red eyes appeared in the dark of the cave, causing Scootaloo to come to a screeching halt. Diamond and Silver grabbed her and rushed back to the others. A large creature with a body covered by dark grey scales, long black horns, long arms with large blade like claws, a long snout filled with razor sharp teeth and a long tail dragged itself out of the cave and roared at the fillies, causing them to shiver in fear. "Uh-oh, l-l-looks like a De-Deathclaw managed to slip in through damaged code, better f-fix that." As Error summoned two Gaster Blasters he aimed at the beast and prepared to fire. But before he could do anything, he felt a considerable amount of negative energy coming from close by. He looked to Sweetie Belle, who had her eyes shut with her horn sparking. It went from her usual green aura to black, blue and red as her body was overcome by fear. "N-No way..." As the creature dashed forward Sweetie Belle cried out as her magic surged with her fear, causing a large, glitching black beam to fire from her horn, breaking the monsters code and scattering it into the wind, leaving nothing in its place. "Are y-you serious right-right now?" Error asked with half lidded eyes and a frown as he got rid of the blasters. "The kid-id has error powers?" Sweetie Belle opened her eyes and stared in shock, while the others were either frozen in place or looking at her with worry. "Wha...what just happened?" She asked quietly, feeling exhaustion washing over her body as she lay down. Applebloom and Scootaloo rushed to her side, making sure she was ok. Suddenly, Error glitched in front of them, causing the other four to gasp in surprise. "W-Where did you learn-learn that magic-ic?" He asked with a stern tone. Sweetie Belle was too exhausted to cower or feel intimidated, and simply fell unconscious. Error groaned before glitching them all to the Carousel Boutique in Ponyville. "Is someone there?" Rarity called from the second floor. "Rarity, it's-it's Error, you n-need to get down here-ere." He called back. Rarity responded as she began to trot down the stairs. "Oh, hello Error darling, have you finally come around to do something about your lacklustre wardro-SWEETIE BELLE!!!" She rushed over to her unconscious sister and began frantically looking her over. "What happened to her?!" She demanded. "I'll explain i-i-in a moment, get-et her to b-bed, she needs-needs rest." Rarity nodded and placed her sister on her back before returning to the second floor. Error just looked to the other four with a raised eyebrow as they stared at him. "W-What?" They were silent for a moment before Silver Spoon pulled out a deck of cards. "Texas Hold'em?" Error smirked and pulled a set of poker chips and a poker table out of the code. "H-Here's a kid who-who knows how t-to party." Author's Note Yep, I'm doing this now. If you spot any mistakes, please point them out to me in the comments or in PMs. Also, sorry this took so long. //-------------------------------------------------------// Here have a protégé //-------------------------------------------------------// Here have a protégé "Ok, let me get this straight, my little sister somehow has gained abilities like yours due to some mistake in reality? Oh, uh, call." Rarity asked as she moved her poker chips forward. After Silver Spoon had pulled out the deck of cards and offered to play poker, everyone other than Sweetie Belle who was currently sleeping, recovering from previous events involving a certain creature from Fallout, had sat down to play, with Error as the dealer. "Y-Yep, that pretty-pretty much sums it-it-it up." Error answered as he placed the next card down. When everyone saw what it was Scootaloo slammed her head into the poker table. "Fold..." She moaned as she slid her cards towards the centre. "Ya need ta stop trying to psych us out Scoots, ya just end up loosing more chips that way, we ain't falling for yer bluffs." Applebloom pointed out as she bet a few chips. "Anyway, I-I-I think its b-best if I take away-away her powers, makes t-things far less complicated. But, that's up-up-up-up to her." Error explained as he watched Silver Spoon think about her next move. "All in!" She called out as she pushed her large stack of chips towards the centre. "Ugh, fold..." Rarity muttered, the others following suit. "S-Silver takes t-t-the pot." Error said while grinning. "I'm starting to-to really like-ike you k-kid." Silver shrugged as she hopped up onto the table and pushed the now larger stack of chips towards her seat with her head. "It was a bluff, I had nothing that round." Rarity face hoofed as she looked at her cards, realising she had a high chance of winning the round. "I need to plan my moves more carefully. Anyway, why are you leaving it up to her? She isn't exactly the most responsible filly in the world darling." Error shrugged as he dealed the next hand. "Other than-than to s-s-spite you for that comment-ment about my clothes, I'm not-not-not gonna rob her of-of her magic ag-against her will-ill unless it's-it's causing her p-pain." Rarity looked unsure. "I don't think it's a good idea to let her keep it though..." "Well, it's n-not about what you think now-now is it? Your sister needs-eeds to experience so-some moments of independence, especially when-when it comes t-t-t-to decisions like this-is. She'll m-make the choice that-that is right for h-her." Error stated while leaning on the table and looking at her with a raised brow. Rarity still remained unsure, on one hand she wanted to protect her sister, but on the other she didn't want to get in the way of her development. She felt a tiny hoof tapping her shoulder and looked to see Applebloom smiling at her. "Trust me, Sweetie Belle is more mature than ya think." Rarity sighed and looked to Error. "If she chooses to keep the powers, will you teach her how to control them?" Error lay back in his seat and shrugged. "W-Why not? Would be-be something to d-d-do." Rarity nodded and looked to her cards. "Alright, let's continue." Later that evening Sweetie Belle slowly opened her eyes, her head feeling light and her body feeling heavy. She tiredly pulled herself up and yawned, holding a hoof to her horn which stung a little. "Ow...what happened to me?" "You're awake! Oh thank heavens!" She heard her older sister exclaim as she entered the room and dashed over to bring her into a hug. "Are you ok? Are you hurt? Do you still remember your name? How many hooves am I holding up?!" Before Rarity could continue her flurry of questions, two blue ropes gently wrapped around her muzzle, keeping her mouth closed. "Easy, d-don't overload her-her." Error spoke as he casually walked into the room with his hands in his pockets, his eyes on Sweetie Belle. "Hey t-there kiddo, I n-need to talk to-to for a second." Error sat down on the edge of Sweeties bed, ignoring Rarity who was frantically trying to pull off the ropes and acting annoyed while trying to not show she was actually enjoying the feeling. He told her what had happened before she blacked out and explained what was happening with her body and what kind of situation she was in. He then gave her a choice. He could either take the powers from her body, which could be an extremely painful process given he couldn't just erase it from her code and would have to completely rewrite her existence while ripping the corruption out of her, or, she could keep the powers while he taught her how to use them. He would prefer not to put a filly through the process of being erased and brought back into reality, bit he didn't really care what she chose. Sweetie Belle asked for a few minutes to think by herself, she didn't want anyone influencing her decision. Error nodded and glitched himself and Rarity back down to the main room. As he was about to sit down and wait, Error was pulled down to eye level by Rarity who glared at him while pointing to the ropes around her snout. "Oh, r-r-right, forgot-got about that for a-a-a-a second." With a snap of his fingers the ropes disappeared, and then the gates of hell opened up. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW RUDE IT IS TO JUST SHUT A MARES MOUTH WITH ROPE LIKE SHE SOME KIND OF LOWLIFE SLU-" "A-And the ropes stay on." Error mumbled as the ropes reappeared, causing Raritys anger to rise as her eyes went bloodshot. She lunged at him only to land face first on the floor and slide right into an open cabinet which Error then closed. "That's e-enough of that-at-at." "Error?" He heard Sweetie Belle call down, causing him to glitch back into her room. "Made up-up your m-mind?" Sweetie nodded and got out of her bed, walking up to him with determination in her eyes. "Teach me how to use whatever it is that you have." Error couldn't help but smirk as he ruffled her mane, causing her to giggle. "A-Alright kiddo, I'll teach-teach ya." Sweetie smiled and gave him a tiny salute. "I won't let you down." Author's Note Well, now that's there for no good reason, let's see what we can make of it eh? If you spot any mistakes in spelling or whatever, please let me know and I'll get them fixed up. Th ask you for reading. //-------------------------------------------------------// How it began //-------------------------------------------------------// How it began Have you ever wondered what it means to exist? With all of those infinite realities beyond your world, have you ever felt like your existence doesn't matter? Well...you're right if you did. Everyone, everything, every alternative reality is nothing but a glitch in the multiverse, there should only be one universe. They are errors that I had originally planned to correct...but that would be the pointless. What's the point of trying to delete every universe if there's an infinite amount of them? I'm just glad I realised that before going on a murder spree. Who am I to talk though? I am literally a living error, I shouldn't even exist in the physical plane. Somehow though, I do exist. My name used to be Garic Carlson, but now I go by a different name, a title of sorts. You may call me...Error Sans. You know, I actually had a pretty decent life before becoming an error. Back on my original world, I had a steady income, a beautiful fiancé and a nice house with a job I loved. Things were great for me. I was a computer programmer, I'd fix broken code or get any downed servers up and running again, and I loved every second of it. Some days I hoped that some website would go down just so that I could mess around with its coding. Any game I had I would hack just to mess around with, the odd bit of trolling online but nothing along the lines of griefing or anything that would stop anyone else from enjoying the game of course. Just adding some things or altering something to see what would happen. My fiancé, Megan, she was the most beautiful woman I had ever saw. She had a steady mix of stern but caring, a brilliant singer and had a pretty good career as a teacher, in a school that paid surprisingly well, considering all the budget cuts in the education system. And to add icing to the beautiful cake, she was a girl gamer! It's safe to say that I had it pretty good back then. Don't get me wrong, I'm still happy with my life now, I'm just saying I would have preferred it if my life had just gone as originally planned. One day, as Megan and I were playing Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg on our old Nintendo GameCube, me playing as Bantam and her playing as Rolly, my Samsung Galaxy s3 began to vibrate. Yes, I refuse to get an iPhone, the data storage and battery life suck, so I stick with a more reliable brand. I answered the incoming call as Megan paused the game. “Hello mister Garic.” A man's voice spoke through. “Who is this?” I asked politely, having dealt with my fair share of prank calls before, so I knew how to deal with them if this turned out to be one. “That isn't important right now, you'll find that out soon enough. For now though, I'd like to ask you something.” I just rolled my eyes and smirked. “Sure, ask away.” I replied with a sarcastic voice. “Alright, here's my question.” There was a moment of silence, time seeming to freeze around Megan and I. “Do you want to be with your lover for all eternity?” “Of course I do, I’m going to marry her.” I replied, confused as nothing seemed to move around us, not even outside. “Do you want power beyond your wildest dreams?” I didn't answer that one, I was too busy looking around in confusion to listen. “Do you want the power to protect those close to you and save innocent lives while purging the world of evil?” Of course I did, who wouldn't want that kind of power, to be able to protect everyone you love and to wipe evil off the face of the earth? That's a dream come true. “Y-Yes.” I answered shakily, Megan grasping my free hand to comfort me. There was a moment of stillness and silence before the man on the other end finally spoke. “Good...very good.” As he said that he hung up and everything seemed to return to normal. I looked back to Megan to see if she was alright. Both of us looked to each other in shock at what just happened. “What the hell was that?” “I...I don't know.” Megan said in a surprised tone. “What was that guy calling about?” “He...he was asking me if I wanted the power to protect the ones I care about and if I wanted to spend eternity with you.” I just looked to my phone and went to my call log, finding no recent numbers on the list. “Why don't we just get back to our game eh? Try and forget this happened?” She nodded and we both sat back down to finish our game. Halfway through the match we both began to feel sleepy, it was almost night time anyway so we decided to head to bed early so that we could make the most out of the next day, which was thankfully the start of a weekend. As we lay beside each other in bed I scooted over to her side slightly and wrapped my arms around her. This caused her to smile and plant a kiss on my cheek before closing her eyes, mine soon closing as I let sleep take me. That would be the last time either of us would sleep in that bed again. As my pleasant dream about a world of coding began to shift, I found myself pulled further into the dream, more aware of what was going on, almost as if I was awake. I then saw a shadowed figure in front of me. It was a man that looked to be wearing a white trenchcoat who had spiky black hair. “You said you wanted that power, well now I'm going to give it to you. I'm sorry I have to do this, but there is no one else who is suitable for your new position.” It was the voice of the man on the phone. “Wait what? Who are-” My question was cut short as a bright flash of light blinded me. “See you soon...Error Sans.” That was over three thousand years ago. My life took a massive turn, I was placed in the body of a fictional character and sent to a fictional world, along with Megan, thank God I still get to be with her through this. So, now that you know how I was placed in this glitched and broken body, allow me to tell you of my time in Equestria. Third Person Twilight had finally managed to stop Starlight from tampering with the timelines after learning her backstory, which she did not believe justified her actions in the time rift and the equality village, but kept quiet about it. She knew that it may seem like nothing to her, but it was obviously something that had damaged Starlight and it would not be right to just say that her life hasn't been that hard. Her, Starlight and the rest of the main six had spent time bonding. Although the rest of the group did have some trouble trusting Starlight at first, they had grown to accept her and welcomed her into their group. Of course there were some stern words received from Celestia for her actions, messing with the time steam was not something she could just look over, but since there was no damage caused by the event, she was given a warning and the mane six were instructed to keep her in line. As Celestia watched them leave her throne room she sighed and leaned back in her seat. “There's no way that all of this has happened without him noticing.” She said to herself as got to her feet. Walking down the long hallways of the castle as orange light shone through the window as it was almost sunset, Celestia approached the large room that held the stained glass windows that were never placed in the throne room. Using her magic to light the dark rooms many candles she looked up at one particular window that glowed red as the light of the candles reached it. It was primarily red glass. On it, it sowed a strange black and red figure with a yellow smile holding up a hand, various blue strings attached to the fingers of the figure. The strings were wrapped around a red heart, seeing to crack as it was squeezed by the cables. “It's only a matter of time before he feels the effects of the timeline shifting.” She looked to a black plaque below the glass plain, a named carved in red standing out to the solar princess. “Error Sans.” “Sister, are you alright?” Turning her head around Celestia saw her younger sister Luna standing in the doorway. “Why would you come here of all places? Has something happened?” Celestia sighed and turned her body to face Luna. “A pony has tampered with the natural timeline of this world.” She began. “So far there seems to be no damage caused and everything seems to be alright...but I fear that this will cause Error to resurface.” Luna just looked to her sister in confusion. “I do not understand why you would be afraid. Error has been a good friend to you and I, what is there to be scared of?” “Because the only reason Error would surface is if severe damage has been dealt to our world and other errors begin to appear like two thousand years ago.” Celestia stated simply. “Too many lives were lost during that time, we cannot allow that to happen to today's ponies, they're too soft and kind to have to deal with something like the errors.” The errors were creatures that were essentially living glitches in reality and could corrupt other beings to turn them into more errors. Luna nodded and sighed. “I think to be safe we should start giving the guards tougher training as well as new battle gear. At least then we'll have something to fall back on if the elements or Error fail.” Celestia placed a hoof to her muzzle in thought. It was true that the Royal Guard was only given the most basic of training as Equestria had no need of highly trained soldiers as the thousand years of peace had brought the ponies of the land to become a calm and friendly civilisation, with their ruler being a natural mother figure who would treat them all with kindness and compassion. The guards were mainly used to act as intimidators, dealing with the disputes of civilians and occasionally dealing with the small amount of crime in the towns and cities. There was no need to put money into something that would be considered useless at the time. "You're right sister, perhaps we should begin to toughen up our forces. Contact Shining Armour immediately." Luna nodded and walked off down the hallway. Celestia turned back to the glass plain, her thoughts uneasy and her breathing slowing. "Hopefully it will never have to come to that, I hate putting my little ponies in danger." With one last look at the window she turned around and shut the door. "I think that went well." Twilight said as she, Starlight and their friends walked through the streets of Canterlot. "I wouldn't say it went well, but it could have been a lot worse." Spike commented as he walked beside his adoptive sister. Starlight sighed and looked to Twilight with a frown. "Spike's right, it could have been worse, but I do feel like I deserve a harsher punishment than a scolding." "I think it was enough of a punishment to hear Princess Celestia yell in her Royal Canterlot Voice." Rainbow Dash said uneasily as she hovered beside Starlight. "It's the first time I've heard her yell like that, it was even louder than Princess Luna's." "Well, lets just get home and forget about it, it's done now so we don't need to worry." Rarity reassured them with a cheery voice and a smile on her face. "And Starlight dear, if you're still feeling stressed when we get back, why don't you come with me to the spa? I know that Aloe and Lotus will be able to wash your negativity away." Starlight smiled at the fashion pony. "Thanks Rarity, I may just take you up on that offer." With her spirits up slightly and a smile on her face, Starlight and the others boarded the train that would take them to their home, Ponyville. Taking a window seat, Starlight watched the beautiful landscape go by as the train sped along, the sunset painting the sky orange and light blue, the light shining off of the many lakes and waterfalls causing them to glisten. Sighing Starlight curled up and closed her eyes, deciding to take a nap while they were waiting. They were all unaware of the creature that had been awakened due to the events that had transpired the week before. Meanwhile, Deep Underground There are very few that know of the caverns underneath Canterlot Mountain, those that do only share the information in the form of cryptic stories of a strange skeletal figure that would cast away the darkness when the time comes. No one believed the tales of course, but that just meant that the aforementioned skeleton could live in peace. Down one of the many caves in one of the deepest, darkest caverns, the sounds of snoring could be heard. After awhile, the snoring stopped. Suddenly, the cavern became enveloped in a dark red glow, small pieces of reality seeming to glitch in and out of existence as the figure in the darkness woke from his sleep. Two glowing yellow eyes gleamed in the darkness as a glitched voice spoke. “Who-who-who's been s-s-s-screwing with the timeline?” As the figure began to move towards the cave he was stopped as another figure in the dark began to wake up. “Error...is everything alright?” A soft, tired female voice asked. “I'm not-not-not-not sure Tori-i-i, I was just-st-st about to go out and ta-ta-ta-take a look around.” The other figure snapped their fingers and the candles in the room were lit, revealing the furniture in the cave. A large king size bed, a dresser, a wardrobe, a couch and loveseat and finally a coffee table. “If you're going out, promise me you won't do anything stupid.” Error Sans looked to his fiancé with his uneven glowing pupils. “I promise I-I-I-I won't hurt anyone too bad if things get ro-ro-ro-rough.” He said reassuringly. “Well, that's the best I'll get from you.” The younger looking and slimmer Toriel leaned forward and planted a kiss on Errors forehead. “I'll see you later dear, be safe.” Error just smirked. “We both know I'm not the one-one that needs to be k-k-k-kept safe.” With a glitched flash Error was gone. Author's Note I hope you enjoyed the first chapter. Feel free to point out any errors, it will help me put greatly. I've wanted to do an Undertale fic for awhile now, and I saw that Sans was already taken, so I decided to use Error Sans for this. Also, if you would like to know what Error Sans sounds like watch the video below, I'm not really good at describing voices that much. https://img.youtube.com/vi/JYRWUZP9xRs/mqdefault.jpg //-------------------------------------------------------// And along came Discord //-------------------------------------------------------// And along came Discord "H-H-Hey Tori, I'm b-back." Error called as he walked through the cave halls. When he got no response he frowned and began glitching around his home, checking every room but finding nothing. "Strange..." He checked the kitchen last, finding a plate of hot food waiting fir him on the kitchen table with a note beside it. He picked up a slice of pie in one hand while he read the letter in the other. "S-So, she's gone wi-wi-with Author to figure some-some stuff o-out? Wonder why s-she didn't come t-to me." He set the note down and finished his meal before glitching it over to the sink and glitching over to his bed. "It's b-been a pretty t-t-tiresome day, if Tori is-is with Author I-I don't need to worry-y." He lay down abd threw the blanket over himself before closing his eyes and falling asleep. The next morning on the surface Twilight took a sip from her morning coffee and sighed happily. "I have a good feeling about today." "Why's that?" Both Starlight and Spike asked as they sat down at the dining room table with their own drinks. "I don't know, I just feel as if today will be a good day." "Y-You know something is-is going to go wrong because you s-s-s-said that right?" Error asked as he glitched into the room, causing the three to jump. "Error? What are you doing here?" Twlight asked as she regained her composure. Error shrugged and took a bite from a donut he pulled out of some code. "I was b-bored and Tori is-is-isn't home so I thought I-I'd hang out with you-you guys." "Well, if you're wanting to hang with us that's fine, but I think we'd all appreciate it if you didn't just appear out of nowhere like that." Spile spoke up as he finished his gem flavoured tea. "Asking m-me to stop doing stuff-stuff like that is like-ike asking Discord to st-stop bending reality to s-suit his own needs." As if on cue, the spirit of chaos appeared in the middle of the room. "Is someone using me as a comparison to something again? Honestly, you'd think after all this time we'd be last such petty insults-" Discord stopped as his eyes landed on Error. "Oh, it's you again, finally decided to crawl out of your little hole did you?" Error smirked. "Well well w-well, if it-it isn't the sub-par reality b-bender. I see you're n-no longer encased in s-stone." "Sub-par? I'm the spirit of chaos! Manipulating reality is what I do best!" Discord and Error slowly began walking towards each other. "L-Last I checked you got-got whipped by t-that shy pegasus girl and got y-y-y-your ass handed to you by a-a pathetic magic stealing centaur-aur." "What are you saying exactly?" Discord demanded in a low but dark voice as they reached each other, Discord glaring down at the skeleton while Error held the same smug expression. "W-What I'm saying is, no matter-ter how much you change t-the world around you, you can't-can't change the fact t-that you lost every single time." Discord growled and snapped his fingers, causing an anvil to appear over Errors head. Error glitched behind Discord, jumped up and spin kicked him in the back of the head. Discord grunted and turned with hate in his eyes, he summoned a cupcake in his hand and threw it at Error, exploding on impact, however Error glitched just to the side and glitched the explosion to Discords face. "If you're gonna fight take it outside!" Twilight yelled in frustration. "O-Oh alright." Error wrapped his ropes around Discord and threw him out the window. "I won't r-ruff him up a lot, j-just enough to get a point across-oss." "Thank you, I'll go get Fluttershy to calm him down." Twilight sighed as she teleported away. "Can we watch?" Starlight and Spike asked curiously. "Sure, why-why not?" Error glitched them all outside, with Spike and Starlight now holding popcorn and sitting in lawn chairs. Discord summoned giant scissors and cut the ropes, freeing himself. He then snapped his fingers and the ground around Error began to glow red before exploding. Error dodged the attack, only to be suprised as the flying debris were turned into flaming birds that flew right into him and exploded. He killed a few with his Gaster Blaster but a few others managed to hit, as to humour the Draconequus. "Alright Discord, I'm a-actually impressed, that was-was clever." Discord smirked, but his smile soon faltered as ground below him turned to ice and trapped his feet. "B-But you're still not good-ood enough." Error snapped his fingers and the ice turned to boiling oil, causing Discord to almost scream in pain before teleporting out if the pit of oil and using his magic to heal himself. He growled and teleported behind Error, summoning a giant rubber chicken and striking him with it like a baseball bat. As he was knocked away towards the mountain, Error glitched to behind Discord who instantly turned around, only for Error to glitch behind him again and punch him in the spine. Discord snapped both of his fingers and the area around them turned red. Two rocks that stood beside Error shifted into stone hands and grabbed him, holding him in place. Discord then changed the clouds into thunder clouds and placed them above Error before sticking explosive cotton candy to his back. With a snap of his finger, the stone fists began to crush Error, the clouds struck him with lightning and the cotton candy exploded. When the dust settled Error was gone. Discord smirked only to scowl as Error appeared in front of him and blasted him away with a Gaster Blaster. "Y-You need to learn how-how to really shift reality i-in combat Discord." Discord was about to give some sarcastic remark until they both felt a corrupt presence. Turning their attention towards the new arrival they looked to each other. "Temporary truce?" "T-Temporary truce." Error nodded with a smile. They both took fighting stances as they stared down their opponent. The dark figure glared before taking its own stance. "This is gonna be awesome." Spike muttered as he shoved some popcorn into his mouth. Author's Note I know I kinda downplayed Discord a bit, but I have a bit of a difficulty writing him into a fight. Anyway, I'm sorry for the wait. Please point out any mistakes you find. Thanks you and I hope you enjoyed.
