Frightened

Halloween night, 11pm

For Halloween, Rarity and Fluttershy decided to watch a scary movie. The movie they to decide to watch is called “Night of the Undead”. Before they watch the movie, Rarity sets the table and couches, while Fluttershy gets the popcorn, drinks, and snacks.  After preparing the food and beverages and turning the lights off, Fluttershy starts wondering if they should really be doing this again, as she has within the last few years, afraid that as they do this, the movies get scarier and scarier. What she doesn't know, though, is that Rarity has gone to the extreme and bought a movie that every pony has warned about watching and being prepared for.

11:45pm

At the halfway mark in the movie, there is supposedly a jump scare that happens when the camera switches to one of the characters’ first-person view. Before the actual jump scare happens, the music suddenly builds up then stops few seconds prior to. The movie reaches that point, the music starts slowly building up, then Fluttershy starts getting really scared. She decides she had enough and simply can't stand it anymore, and so, she asks Rarity to stop the movie. As Rarity goes to reach the remote to stop the movie... BOO!!!!

"AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!" Fluttershy screams and squeaks, which makes Rarity jump and fall off the couch. She then goes to pull Rarity in a scared hug, sobbing into her shoulders. "I'm sorry, Rarity! I just couldn't handle it this time!" Rarity hugs Fluttershy back, tells her it's ok and to go get some water to calm down.

Rarity decides to switch back to TV to find non-Halloween shows to try and get the movie out of their heads. It takes about 20 channels to finally reach something different from the holiday. She finds the show “How It’s Made.” She then asks Fluttershy is she wants to watch it. She decides to just go to bed to try and sleep it off. Rarity doubts if that is a good idea after just getting the crap scared out of her. Fluttershy is final with her answer, so she hugs Rarity, tells her good night, then gets into bed, unaware of what the movie’s effects will have on her in 15 minutes.

Midnight

Rarity and Fluttershy just went to bed. No noise in the house in the night, except for the wind howling. Fluttershy starts dreaming she is in her room cleaning her desk one night when she starts to hear thumping in the hallway.

She moves on, thinking something fell off her desk again “I really need to work on this room.” 30 seconds later, the thump happens again, except it was closer to the door. At this point, Fluttershy is really scared.  “Hello? Rarity?” Fluttershy then remembers Rarity went to spend the night with one of her friends who lived pretty far that was visiting. The door knob slowly opens, tempting Fluttershy to get the bat she keeps below her bed in the case of a break-in. As she gets back up, she sees a 4-legged creature with glowing white eyes, familiar to the creature in the scary movie.  Completely frozen in place, stunned, the bat falls out of her hooves. As soon the bat reaches the ground, the creature charges at Fluttershy with its mouth open and its pointy teeth showing. “AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!” Fluttershy releases a blood-curdling scream, scaring Rarity, causing her to scream at the same time.

As a reaction, Rarity comes running into Fluttershy’s, scared and worried about her. “Fluttershy, why the hell did you scream?! Are you ok?! Are you hurt?!” Immediately, Fluttershy squeezes Rarity in a saddened hug, sobbing into her shoulders as loud as she can. Rarity asks her if the movie has given her a nightmare and that’s why she screamed. Fluttershy nods, continuing to sob loudly. “It’s ok, Fluttershy, just let it out.” After 5 minutes, Fluttershy finally calms down, tired. Before she goes back to bed, she decides she shouldn’t go to bed alone. Instead, she asks Rarity if she can go to bed with her. Rarity accepts, so they get into bed together. Rarity shuts off the lights with her magic and her and Fluttershy Rarity peacefully go back to sleep.

Next morning, 9:40am

Fluttershy quietly slides out of bed, trying not wake up Rarity. She goes downstairs and makes breakfast for Rarity, as she plans to surprise Rarity with breakfast in bed. A few minutes later, she finishes the breakfast, containing eggs, toast, and strawberries. Slowly going upstairs, Fluttershy enters Rarity’s room with her surprise, while seeing Rarity still asleep. She then starts tickling Rarity’s foot to wake her up.

Rarity starts off giggling, then immediately bursts into laughing. “What’s going on?! What is tickling me?! Fluttershy, stop it!!” Fluttershy peaks her head from in front of the bed. Rarity giggles and starts smelling the delicious breakfast.

Attempting to find the source of the delicious smell, she starts to get out of bed but is immediately stopped by Fluttershy’s hoof. “And just where are you going, pretty?”

“I smell something delicious, but I don’t where it’s coming from.”

“Oh, you mean, this?” Rarity looks at Fluttershy, then the breakfast she made. Her face blushes deep red with a huge smile on her face, completely surprised, but at the same time, very joyful. Rarity sits back up into bed, ready to eat.

Fluttershy goes over to Rarity, carefully sets the tray of breakfast in front of Rarity and squeezes Rarity in a cute hug, while Rarity squeezes her back. “Thank you, Darling!”

Fluttershy shakes her head, “No, thank you.” Rarity looks at Fluttershy, confused. “Thank you for yesterday, for when that movie scared yesterday.” Rarity tells her it’s no problem and proceeds to eat her breakfast. Fluttershy tells her she’ll be back with another surprise (cherry on top of the sundae). She goes to make her portion of breakfast to have in bed with Rarity. After 5 minutes, she makes the same meal Rarity is having, but instead of strawberries, she puts cantaloupe on her plate. After putting her tray together, she starts walking upstairs while Rarity is eating her breakfast. She sees Fluttershy coming upstairs with her portion of breakfast.

Instantly, her face turns into a big smile while blushing. “Is this…are you?” Fluttershy nods, so Rarity moves a little to the right side of the bed to make room for her. Fluttershy scoots into her side of the bed and starts eating her breakfast. After both finish up, Rarity gets up to put her and Fluttershy’s trays in the dishwasher then runs to the bathroom.

Fluttershy gets up out of bed, gets a piece of gum from her desk and goes downstairs to watch TV.  Rarity comes out of the bathroom then downstairs to watch TV with Fluttershy.

She then turns over to Fluttershy and tells her something that she will never forget, “Fluttershy, I love you.” Her eyes grow huge with a deep red blush, then out of the blue, Rarity kisses her. The world around them stops.

Fluttershy returns the kiss and they continue for another few minutes, then their lips detach. “I love you too, Rarity.” Rarity smiles back with a huge blush like Fluttershy’s.
