The sun shone threw the window, it's bright glow landed on Scootaloo's face. She grumbled and folded the pillow over her face. She peaked from behind the pillow and looked around the room. It took her a few seconds to remember she was at the hospital.

She looked around slowly, her eyes fell upon a small calendar on hospital nightstand. It was Thursday, the day her cute-zeanaria was scheduled. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Tornado and all her friends walked in, "time for a cute-zesnaria of a life time!" Pinkie Pie jumped up and down.

"Yeah." Scootaloo laughed happily

Her friends piled gifts on top of her, Pinkie Pie grabbed a small stereo out of nowhere and played a party song. Everypony laughed and told jokes. Suddenly nurse Redheart came in.

"You're disturbing all the other patients!" She yelled.

Pinkie Pie shrugged, "sorry."

Nurse Redheart left, but she soon returned because of the noise. She kicked everypony but Scootaloo out. Scootaloo laughed and shook her head.

She hadn't opened the gifts yet, she started with a small one warped in pink paper. She read the card, "Dear Scootaloo, I'm sorry that I never talk about your mom. I hope you enjoy this gift, she would want you to have it."

She opened the box quickly, inside was a small heart locket. It had a picture of her mom in it, the other side of the locket read, l'amour est beau. Love is Beautiful.

Tears made their way up and stung her eyes. She gulped to stop them but she couldn't, she closed the locket and draped it around her neck. She whipped away her tears.

Scootaloo got home after a while. She noticed Rainbow Dash and Tornado talking in the living room so she snuck upstairs. She couldn't help but try to listen to them.

She could barely make out what they said. The TV was blaring and it drowned their voices. All she could make out was a few words.

"I don't think..." Rainbow Dash began, that was all Scootaloo could make out.

Scootaloo tried to listen to the whole conversation for about thirty minutes. Without having a clue what they had been talking about, she noticed they both stopped talking suddenly. She wanted to peak in but she was afraid they would notice her. She walked to her room quietly. Her backpack dragging behind her.

Once in her room she dug threw her backpack to find the picture of her mom. She soon noticed a large hole, she must have dropped it when she ran away. She sighed sadly, she then looked at the locket. Scootaloo looked up to the wall and gasped.

Where the picture of her first birthday was supposed to be hung another picture. It had her mother on it. Scootaloo was also on it. She jumped onto her bed to look at the picture.

Had Rainbow Dash and Tornado found it, she wondered. She rubbed her hoof across it and smiled. She looked at the clock, it was eight o'clock, she went to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

She heard a small squeak from the living room, she peaked in and saw Rainbow Dash and Tornado. Their noses touched slightly, Rainbow Dash pulled away and blushed. Tornado looked up and did the same.

Scootaloo's eyes widened with excitement, she ran to the bathroom to brush her teeth. As she put toothpaste on the toothbrush she began to think about what happened. She wanted do believe it wasn't a dream, but what if it was? She didn't want it to be one, she thought she'd be ok without a mother but maybe she was wrong.

She walked down stairs as Rainbow Dash left, she smiled at her dad. After she hugged him goodnight she went back to her room, she wouldn't mention he and Rainbow's kiss until later maybe. She crawled into bed and prepared to sleep.

Her dad knocked on the door and she jumped out of bed to answer it. She smiled and let him into the room. He sat down on her bed.

"Can we talk?" Tornado asked.

Scootaloo nodded, "sure."

Tornado looked at the wall, "Running away wasn't a good idea Scootaloo, your lucky you only had a broken wing. It could have been worse."

"I'm sorry, I was just so upset." Scootaloo looked down, "am I grounded?"

"No." He replied. Scootaloo was confused.

"I'm not?" She asked.

"No, you are. But I haven't had a chance to consider how many years you will be grounded." He joked but still ment it.

"Oh...Years?" Scootaloo asked.

"Well months really but yeah, it will be a while." He stood up.

"Sorry..." Scootaloo looked at him then back to the floor. He was being so nice about this.

"Now it's time for bed, did you have dinner before you got here?" He asked.

"Yeah, I went to Sweetie Belle's and ate with her and Rarity." Scootaloo shrugged, "they had hayloaf so I wasn't gonna pass that up."

Tornado laughed and messed with her hair. He walked out of the room and shut the door. Scootaloo sat down on her bed, her stomach growled. She hated lying but she just wanted to go to bed.

The stars guarded the window and the moon peaked inside. Scootaloo sighed and closed her eyes. Tornado opened the door slightly and looked in at his daughter. He wanted her to be happy, maybe then he'd be at peace.

He walked down the stairs and into the living room. He went outside and sat in the grass looking up to the sky. Belle Vie loved star gazing late at night, he smiled remembering how much she would point at the constellations.
