This Is My Story
Chapter One
Previous Chapter"Eurrghh.." I awoke from my sleep, feeling tired. I'm pretty sure I only got three or four hours of sleep. I sat up, wiping my eyes.
"Here's another toast to a shitty life." I raised my hand in the air, as if I had a glass, clinking it with other people. Although those other people, weren't exactly real..
I got up from my bed, almost tipping over onto my dresser. I leaned over it for a second or two, then opened the drawers. I picked a set of clothes randomly.
Red flannel, white undershirt, and some black jeans.
Yep, that's how I dress. Anyways, after getting dressed, I headed into my main small living room. If you could even call it a 'living room'.. I headed towards the coffee machine, setting up the ingredients and such, and letting it do it's magic. In the mean time, I decided to check my computer. I sat down onto the chair in-front of the computer. I started to check my multiple social accounts, since I had quite a few.
"Nothing new. The world has gotten boring lately." I say outloud to no one. I talked to myself a lot, and it wasn't unusual if you knew me. Yet, no one knew me. Only friend I had was the one who recently passed away.
I look at a picture on the computer desk, it in a wooden frame. It was me and him.
"Jared.." I whisper the words, feeling a bit of sadness, yet I got used to it quickly.. I'm not heartless, no.. I just know how to deal with depression easily. I can get through things easily.
After the few minutes of browsing the interwebs, I decided that I would get up and pour myself a drink of coffee, it now being done. I head over, pull out a cup, and pour myself a cup of coffee. Nothing has changed in my life. Am I running in circles? Repeating the same steps over and over..? I start to think about this as I look into the living room sipping my coffee idly.
What has my life meant? It hasn't changed anyone's lives.. Well, maybe Jareds.. Maybe Harridsons.. But is that really it?
I look at the time, thinking i'm about to be late for work. I take a glance at the calander and realize it's my day off. God, it felt good to finally have a day off. No, not because its tiring.. It's just boring at work. Not a whole lot of customers come in. I finished my cup of coffee and set it down next to the kitchen sink.
"What should I do next..?" I ponder. I didn't really have anything else to do but watch T.V, and play my steam games.. Yet, I think i'm starting to get bored of just relaxing and doing nothing.. That's what I did when I was a child, sit, and watch T.V and play games. I missed tons of opportunities. I'm thinking of buying a house soon, before it becomes too late and I spend my savings on something else like a flat screen T.V. I'm also thinking about getting a house loan.
I know, big step from an apartment. But that's what you have to do. Take big steps in life. You can't just let it pass by and expect to do it later, when it could be done right away.. Oh, did I mention that I'm impatient sometimes?
Now that i'm awake from the coffee, I go to the couch, sit down, and turn the small T.V on. I decided to check on the news.
"Weather forecast predicts that it will be very sunny today, with degree's hitting up to 70-80!" I switch the channel. That's all I needed to know from the news channel, since the rest of it was just boring things like car accidents.
I switched to a channel about 'building a better life'..
"Like that'd ever happen." I mumble to myself.
Suddenly, my apartment started to shake. It shook violently, light phasing through the windows brightly.
"What the hell?!" I yell, and I quickly take a look outside. All I saw was pure white, nothing else. I stopped looking at it since it was literally blinding me. I didn't know what was going on, so I stepped back slowly.
I was the only one in my apartment building, so no one else would be able to see this. I looked outside once again, looking down the sides. The other buildings were gone. It was just my building.
Then, I got the feeling that I was falling. As I looked outside still, my feeling was correct.
I was falling.
My building was falling.
It was night-time, and I went through the clouds. The place was illuminated below with lights, and it looked to be a mountain that I was heading for.
Nuh-uh. I took safety lessons pretty seriously, and I went into my bedroom, about to duck under the bed. But before I make it to the bed, the whole building crashes into what seemed to be the mountain. The whole building was crushed, and I was knocked out by debris that hit me.
