Author's note

When I first became a brony, officially, my friends all warned me against reading "Cupcakes". They said it was extremely gruesome, ruined Pinkie Pie for them, and that I should under no circumstances read it. So I didn't. I've always been the squeamish one of my group of friends. I don't like pain or gore, or the idea of someone experiencing either. So I didn't read it.

Until recently. I decided to try it. I sat down and read the entire thing. Twice. And wondered what my friends were talking about. From the way they were talking, I was expecting nightmares, to be unable to sleep, to be mentally scarred. But I wasn't. I was disappointed.

I shared it with my other group of friends, but they couldn't listen to it, and had to tell me to stop. For the first time ever, I was able to deal with blood and gore when my friends weren't. At a level that I found disappointing. So I decided to one-up Cupcakes. I noticed that in the story, the death of Gilda the Griffon was mentioned. I decided to elaborate on it, to make a story with what I thought to be a satisfactory level of gore (which worries me, this was way out of character for me). And so I spent the next few weeks writing Party.

Long story short, I posted the finished product (PARTY), it's the first story I've posted. I will be writing more, though none on that level of horrifying. My other stories are actually more focused on happiness and adventure. That I was even once able to write something like PARTY concerns me greatly.

Anyway, to anyone reading this, I hope that this will clear up any bad first impressions. Please consider giving my other stories a chance.
