5 YEARS LATER
Twilight came out of her cottage and made her way to the library. As she trotted she looked around.
Ponyville, what a little quiet town. And here everyday is like the day before. Just filled with little ponies waiting to say…
"Good day." A couple of ponies that Twilight passed said.
There's the baker with his trays like always
Mr Cake went pass carrying a tray of bread and rolls for the customers.
Twilight sighed *Nothing will ever change in this poor provincial town.*
"Good morning Twilight" Mr Cake said cherrily.
"Hello Mr Cake." Twilight said
"Where are you off to then?" Mr Cake asked
"The bookshop. I've just read an amazing book about royalty and a love poison-" Twilight started.
"That's nice dear. I'd love to stay and chat but I got customers to serve." Mr Cake said walking off.
As Twilight continued her walk to the bookstore the three flower ponies noticed her.
"Look there goes Twilight. That mare is strange no question about it. " Roseluck whispered.
" She is so distracted. Always shoving her head in those books. " Daisy said as she watched Twilight walk off.
"Never in any crowds, cause her head is always up in the crowds." Lilly Valley said as she gave some flowers to Filthy Rich.
"There no denying it. She's a funny mare that Twilight." Filthy Rich agreed.
"Hello." Fancy Pants said to Derpy.
"Good day." Derpy said back.
"How is your family? " Fancy asked polietly.
"Good. How is your wife?" Derpy asked back.
"I need six eggs!" Cheerilee screeched at Big Mac.
Big Mac then pointed to the sign that said 6 bits.
"But that's too expensive!" Cheerilee argued.
There must be more than this provincial life
Twilight walked into the library as someone was coming out.
"Hello Twilight." Moondancer said smiling.
"Good morning Moondancer I just came to return my book." Twilight said levitating the book into the counter.
"Wait, you finished it Already!" Moondancer said in shock.
"Are you kidding? I couldn't put it down! Have you got anything new?" Twilight asked curiously.
"Not since yesterday." Moondancer chuckled.
"That's okay I'll just borrow….this one." Twilight said as she brought a book, from the top shelf, down to her face.
"That one?" Moondancer asked looking at the cover. "But you've read it twice!"
"Well it's my favourite. Friendship, harmony, elements and villians." Twilight sighed.
"If it means so much to you then you should keep it." Moondancer chuckled.
"What! I can't!" Twilight protested.
"Please. I insist." Moondancer said with a smile.
"Thank you!" Twilight giggled as she went out of the bookstore.
As Twilight went out a couple of ponies stared at her.
"Look there she goes.That mare is so peculiar." Caramel said as they watched Twilight open her book.
"I wonder if she's feeling ill. With that dreamy far off look."Thunderlane wondered.
"And her muzzle stuck in a book. What a puzzle to the rest of us she is." Flitter stated.
Twilight sat down on the bench near the lake where ducks were swimming.
" Oh isn't this amazing? This is my favourite part because this is the part where she meets all her best friends. But she won't know how special they are to her until chapter 17." Twilight said with a huge smile and continued to walk home.
"Very different to the rest of us." A stallion said behind her.
"She nothing like the rest of us." The town's ponies said at the same time.
Nearby Flash Sentry was catching his dinner tonight by shooting to the sky and hitting birds. His lackey Snips watched the bird fall and tried to catch it but missed. So he quickly put it in the bag before Flash could notice.
"I caught it Flash! Wow you didn't miss a shot. You're the greatest hunter in the world!" Snips said bouncing up and down.
"I know." Flash answered smugly
"No beast alive stands a chance against you. No girl do as well." Snips said with a chuckle.
"It's true Snips. And I've got my eyes set on her." Flash said pointing to Twilight as she read.
"The inventor's sister?" Snips asked confused.
"Yep! She's the lucky one. The one I'm going to marry someday." Flash said as admired himself in his pocket mirror.
"But she's-" Snips started
"The most beautiful mare in town." Flash said dreamily.
"I know, but still-" Snips said only to be interrupted again.
"That makes her the best." Flash said as he pushed Snips.
Once upon a time in the magical land of Equestria there was a princess called Sunset Shimmer. She lived in the royal castle of the two sisters. Her mother Celestia and her aunt Luna.
But the princess was spoiled, selfish and unkind. She only cared for herself and no pony else.
But one winter night there was a knock at the door. It was a old beggar pony. She was searching for shelter from the cold and offered a small Rose in return.
But Sunset was repulsed by the mare's hideous look and instantly shunned her.
However, the old pony warned her, not be fooled by looks. For beauty was found within. But still Sunset dismissed her.
Suddenly, the old pony's ugliness melted away and transformed into the enchantress Fausticorn.
Sunset stood there awestruck. Apalled by her behaviour she begged Fausticorn for mercy.
But it was too late for Fausticorn had seen that there was no love in her heart.
As a punishment Fausticorn turned Sunset and everypony in the castle into humans.
Ashamed by her hideous form, Sunset locked herself in her castle. With a magic mirror as her only window to the outside world.
The Rose she had been offered was a enchanted rose. Which would bloom for many years.
If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell the spell would be broken.
If not, he would be doomed to remain a human for all time.
As the years passed, she fell into despair, and lost all hope,
For who could ever learn to love... a human?
