It was an everyday morning for Fluttershy.
Everything around her was Normal, and happy.Her animals enjoyed the meals she had made for them.The sun shine beautifully in the sky.She felt nothing could possibly go wrong in this nature haven she called home.
In the back of her house was the Everfree Forest.
She certainly never allowed any of her animals near the back part of the yard,no one wanted them to meet a wild animal.
The animals there were wild,but Fluttershy couldn't decide if they were ALL mean or if they were just scared.She did know that the time and weather changed on its own.That was all she really knew about it.
She hoped maybe she could study it a bit more in the future.Maybe even make friends with the creatures that lived there,but until then she needed to give Angel a carrot.Like now!
"Ok Angel,I'll get you a carrot."She said as she headed towards her garden near the back of her house.
The little white bunny was pouting angrily,like always.Angel was always pouting or complaining.It was his "job".He had been helpful at time but he normally was a pompous rabbit.
As she walked towards the garden she couldn't believe her eyes.
A huge stag with mighty antlers stood in her garden.He had a broad chest covered with a silky layer of fur.His legs were skinny yet strongThe thing that truly amazed Fluttershy was the fawn that his behind his legs.
According to Deer Law,the mother took care of the child and the father wasn't suppose to interfere much.Unless the mother died...
The fawn was skinny and clearly scared.He trembled under his father's legs.
Fluttershy then realized the young deer was afraid of her.She cleared her throat and spoke in deer is and greeted them,"Hello."
The fawn relaxed and stood up."Bird!"He exclaimed at Fluttershy.
The giant stag rolled his eyes and then examined Fluttershy.He looked at her wings and her cutie mark in curiousity.He sniffed and then finally spoke Ina deep voice,"Who are you?"
"Fluttershy."The mare kindly answered.
"How do you speak our language?"The buck questioned again.
"It was a condition I was born with."She explained.
"Your a bird."The fawn said stepping in front of his father so he could see eye and eye to Fluttershy.
"I am a Pegasus and who might you be?"She asked playfully.
"I am Bambi."He grinned cheerfully.He was clearly happy to meet her,while his father was serious and looked regal.
"I am the Great Prince of the Forest."The older buck introduced himself.
Fluttershy realized he must be the ruler if the Everfree or something.Maybe there was a whole deer herd out there she didn't know about.Fluttershy knew that if she befriended the deer in front of her,she could be shown the deer herd.
"Do you wanna come in my cottage?"Fluttershy asked hem politely.
Angel shook his head and tried to push Fluttershy to the carrot row.
"Yes Miss Shy."The forest Prince agreed.
Angel fainted dramatically.Bambi sniffed the unconscious rabbit but was given a slap on the nose by Angel.Bambi then chased after Fluttershy and his father.
Inside Fluttershy's cottage was the most natural decor ever.You felt as if you were in a forest.The wall as were light green and covered in flowers.Many humming birds drank from the flowered parts of the wall.Many small houses for mice and birds were under furniture,on the ceiling,or even in the corners.Sometimes birds would build nests on top of the chairs or a sitting pony's head.
"Lovely home."The prince complimented as the pay walked in.
She blushed and handed him.
Bambi was right behind them and butted in.He gasped and exclaims,"BIRDS!"That was his favorite word.
"Yes you are quite right little guy."Fluttershy encouraged.The birds in her house were aware of Bambi's interest in them.Sonthey started doing flips in the air and diving around the room.Bambi was certainly amazed.
The Prince soon found a seat on the couch.He looked around at all the animals and flowers.His facial expression didn't change much but he seemed to not think illy if it.
"Would you like some tea?"Fluttershy offered the Prince.She knew well that a tea including loca, herbs might appeal to the deer tounge.Many herbivores,such as ponies,liked tea with their natural food in it.She assumed it would be no different.
"Lemonse."Bambi told Fluttershy.
"Lemonade?"She checked to make sure.She always had to be precise to please animals,Kne wrong move and your out.
Bambi nodded eagerly.He was so excited and overjoyed over one small beverage.
"Tea would be nice."The stag then said.The animals seemed to be admiring such a big animal.The Prince as well was used to it though and just stayed calm.He treated the creatures with kindness,letting them rest in his antlers and dance around his hooves.
"Okay."Fluttershy responded as she padded into the kitchen.The mice normally stayed in the kitchen.They helped by cleaning/eating the crumbs that fell on the floor.Other than that not many animals stayed in the kitchen.
Fluttershy began to get some tea she had left brewing.She had told hawk to keep an eye on it.He had not moved a bit.
"Good job."She told her hawk and then took the tea.
She poured the tea into small cups.She didn't forget about the lemonade.She pulled some out of the refrigerator and out it in a plastic cup.To be on the safe side that is.....
"Here you go."Fluttershy said as she gave the deer there drinks.Bambi immediately began to drink his but his father said thank you and please.
Fluttershy then took a seat a room.She was hoping maybe for a conversation but the Prince didn't speak.Fluttershy was shy around ponies not animals.Maybe deep down the Prince was shy around her.
"What's that?"Bambi then exclaimed as he sniffed Fluttershy's cutie mark.That would've been offensive if he was a pony,but he was a deer.
"My cutie mark."She explained.Bambi cocked his head in confusion."When a pony discovers his or her talent or destiny,they receive these.I got mine when I saved a bunch of animals."
Bambi looked at his flank."Where's mine?"He asked.The he added,"I got one."Bambi pointed with his nose at a white patch of fur around his flank area.
Fluttershy just nodded and agreed,"Yes."
"Yippee!"He sang as he pranced around the room.The animals stayed clear of his way.p and watched the deer gracefully bound around the room.
Fluttershy clapped along with the animals that followed her lead.
When he finished his father then spoke,finally,"Why do you get these 'cutie marks'?"
"Well,"Fluttershy started."The power of friendship flows through ponies.That means their destiny that supports friendship magically appears on their flanks."
The Prince nodded and sipped his tea one last time.
"Can deer get them?"He asked.
Fluttershy thought for a minute.Coukd they get cutie marks?She had never seen one with a cutie mark.
The Prince answered his own question,"We don't,we harness the power of nature instead of friendship."
Now Fluttershy was interested in their life.They seemed to mostly ask her things,but now it was her turn to be the one askingbteg questions.
"What does that do?'She asked.
"Well we have the elements of nature."He started."Fire,water,rock and air.The most important is life though."
Fluttershy couldn't believe her ears.The deer had their own Equestria and powers.
She was mind blown!
