It has taken ten years since Twilight was first spirited to Erebos for her to reunite the Realm and free Queen Luna from the Nightmare's influence. With her power restored, Luna breaks the magic binding her spirit to the moon, bids farewell to her citizens, and returns with Twilight to Equestria with confidence in the Circle's ability to maintain order and harmony in the Realm of Dreams while she is away.

Now that they are finally back in the Realm of Waking, they must relearn how to be part of Equestrian society, but how will that be possible when all the Equestrians can see are living manifestations of their nightmares?
