Prologue How things change of finding a few rare gems.
Davis Jones, a 17 year old Sophomore from Canterlot High. He has light blue eyes, black short hair, height about 5'8', and weighs at 180 pounds. He has always wanted to do something in his life like playing some practice music or by singing to himself since he doesn't want anyone knowing about it, but he does spend some time with his best friends while staying at his place mostly day time. He most of the times get a call from his parents saying if he's alright without them while going on a vacation. He says that everything's fine at home to them, but it was somewhat of a lie to them and his parents just wants him to enjoy life outside rather than getting cooped up in the house most of the time. Davis had some things to think of before deciding to perhaps go find something to do.
Lying on the couch, Davis is looking up at the wall thinking about what's been going on in Canterlot High School.
"DAVIS, breakfast is ready!" His cousin shouted in the kitchen.
He snapped out of his thoughts of smelling something good from his nose to the kitchen.
"I'm up Janis, just give me a minute to change!" He shouted giving her the message.
Getting up from the couch, he goes upstairs into his room for a pair of cloths to wear. He puts them in the bathroom so that he could wash up from some exercises yesterday. Few minutes later, he comes downstairs into the kitchen.
"Mmmmm smells good in here, is that my favorite blueberry waffles?" He said smiling for the flavored taste.
"Yes and thanks for not helping me clean up your messy room... again." Janis deadpanned at him with an ' I'll kill you' look.
Janis Jones, a 26 year old girl that's a cousin to Davis and graduated from Canterlot High when she was 18. She has silver long hair, yellow eyes, height at about 5'2', and probably weigh between 100 and 120 pounds. Her degree at a fashion design show had been shut down due to some scamming that someone was framing her. Luckily Davis helped clear her name and getting her a new job at Carousel Boutique thanks to Rarity's family. Janis also got another job of being a coach at Crystal Prep Academy School and buying a new house since one of her old friends is going to be joining her to paying rent.
"Yesh alright don't give me that look, I'll do it from now on okay?" He said flinching a bit, then frowned to see her wink and sticking her tongue out knowing that she had won this round.
"So big cousin, how has your 'BIG STRONG SPEEDY' Pierce been doing at the hospital?" He teased her a bit about her boyfriend.
"Watch it Davis, he's not very happy right now since those unknown gang members put him there." She said glared at him.
"Easy cousin I was just teasing to cheer you up. Yeah I know the feeling too since they almost got me."
"Yeah yeah, look can you go and get some items to bring back today? I need to fill out a new order of designs next week?"
"Why couldn't you just ask your friends to help you get them anyways?"
"Cause they're busy at work, does that answer your question?"
"Okay I'll bring those thing back, no need to be Mr. Bossy all the time in my house and all."
Davis got up straight from finishing up his breakfast and taking his plate to the sink. He then got a list from Janis and packed up some things in his medium backpack in case he needed to purchase anything out. Now that everything is packed, he walks out the door.
"He can be such a pain in the ass sometimes." Janis muttered while hanging up a new dress.
"I heard that!"
Three hours later...
Davis is now in a mall checking on some list that his cousin told him to grab while walking around in each store.
"Well this sucks, I wonder what my friends are up to right now?" He said sitting down at a bench and pulling out his phone.
"Hm how's about Fluttershy first?"
[No response.]
"That's weird, I thought she would agree for me to help out with medicine herbs. Okay uh Rainbow Dash next."
[No response.]
"I don't understand, I thought she needed me to help with her studying or game practices. Maybe Applejack?"
[No response.]
"Now this strange, she always answers back to volunteer with more harvesting. How about Pinkie Pie?"
[No response.]
"Same with Pinkie too, I thought she likes to have me building some new party planners. Probably no response from Rarity?"
[No response.]
"Not Rarity Belle as well, what is up with these girls?"
Shaking his head not to jump in any accusations, Davis got up and focus on finishing up in the mall. He then got every item on his list one by one in a few stores that sells them. The last thing he needed to get was some gorgeous necklace. He couldn't find out where at exactly is it supposed to be. So he asked one of the store clerks to know if there's any place that would be selling necklaces there.
"Excuse me ma'am, uh do you happen to know of where any stores around here that sells necklaces?"
"There's a shop called 'Lunar Glass' that's right upstairs, you can't miss it kid."
"Cool and thanks ma'am!" Davis shouted to the clerk as he storms off to finally get a break from running around the mall.
"...Weirdo."
As Davis walks casually up the stairs and turning right, he discovers the same name the clerk told him about. He goes up to the entrance and sees what is inside. He notices that most things are the rarest to sell and not many people were interested in buying them.
"Maybe I should talk to my cousin about this place later."
Now walking inside Lunar Glass, he wanders around each isle to look at and nothing seems good to buy.
"Hm nothing yet, dang where is that sapphire necklace?"
Before giving up that it's not here, he glances over by an isle and found what he was looking for. Walking over to get that sapphire necklace and finally getting that check list done, he pauses and turns his head left to see three gems hiding behind a glass box. These gems are red and are shaped like an octagon with a strange spark inside of them. Curious about it, he grabs one of them and holds it up.
"Huh, I wonder what these red gems are doing here hiding from everyone?"
Looking at the red strange gem Davis has while turning it, he just shrugs and wraps the red gem around his neck. He then walks over to a nearby mirror to see how it looks. After doing some goofy poses in the mirror with that red gem, he froze when a shadowy hooded figure was behind him and began to strike with a sword. Twirling around in a 180 degree angle try and outsmart the unknown attacker, he sees that it was already gone like wasn't even there. Confused and shocking on what it was, he checks back in the mirror to see if it's there again. That figure he saw the first time didn't appear again.
"That was real close, I thought that I was a goner. Just who is that hooded person?"
Looking around to see if anyone is there, he checks on the red gem by his neck and it suddenly shook a bit.
"Eh I'll just leave these on the shelf since it's not right to steal these special kind of gems to someone."
While putting back the red gem and hiding it with the other two, he grabs a sapphire necklace he found and heading out to the counter to pay for it. Once purchasing it, he looks back at where the gems are hiding, then heads out of Lunar Glass store. Unbeknownst to him, the same hooded shadow figure has appears again by a bus stop. It saw Davis heading outside of the mall and it held out an item in it's arms while making the item float quickly and into one of Davis's bags. Once that was done, the figure was snickering and walked away on the nearby express bus.
As Davis is walking down passing by more vehicles, he stops and notices that a little pink fluffy hair has been following him. He shrug it off and continues walking while that same pink hair has appeared by another vehicle. Chuckling up to see one of his friends again, he casually plays along to not notice her. Until stopping at a drive way, he hears her coming out of a bush and quickly tip toes to get the jump on him. Getting into position upon her prey, the energetic girl hops up in the air to catch Davis in a binding hug, but she missed her target.
"Gotcha Pinkie." Davis said grinning as he hugged his friend Pinkie Pie behind her back and spinning around a bit.
"Aw man Davy, ya got me again and it's the 50th time. Why can't you let me catch you off-guard?" Pinkie Pie said giggling.
"I can't help it sometimes Pinkie. By the way how have you been doing?" He said while breaking apart the hug.
"Eh not much, me and my sister Maud got separate by a really huge crowd earlier in the mall."
"Woah that can't be good. Is she gonna be alright?"
"Don't you worry about a thing, Maud had to go find a bunch of new rock buddies for her pet boulder."
"Okay well have a good time with your sister." Davis said as walked away, but stopped when Pinkie was holding one of his hands.
"Hey um Davy, can I ask you something before you go?"
"Uh okay?"
"Do you pinkie promise to be back in school and being your usual cheerful self again, back when we became friends?"
Davis paused to see Pinkie without her smile and the hair on her was deflating a bit. It does hurt to him that he regrets distancing himself from his friends ever since that day changed him. Now he wants to make things up and to not make his friends sad again.
"...Okay, only for my friends." He muttered while doing a hand sign. "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye."
"YAY!" Pinkie yelling out and cheering in the air smiling, then hugging him tightly.
"Uh you can let me go now Pinkie, I gotta head back home to give these items to my cousin."
"OKIE DOKIE LOKIE!" Pinkie beaming a smile again and broke out of her hug. "Well I better go see my sister, see ya Davy!"
"You too Pinkie!" Both of them waving their hands to each other and heading back to their family.
Meanwhile, back in Lunar Glass store...
Three hooded figure girls have came out of the girls restroom. They headed into an isle of where their red gems are hiding and pulling them out. Once these girls put down their hoods to wrap these red gems behind their necks, they hid under their hoodies again and walked out of the shop. While these girls were finally walking out of the mall entrance, one of them paused in shock and was mumbling something while staring at the ground. Both the other two girls turn their heads to see what's up with her as they came to her side.
"Aria, what's wrong?"
".....He is here."
"Who is Aria?"
"Our forgotten big brother... he is here girls and he was inside the Lunar Glass earlier."
