Chapters James Levingston a single man living alone in a house with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, with a decently sized kitchen attached to a living room. Today he was laying on the couch catching up on some sleep after a few long days work, James works as a tattoo artist but for the last couple of days he’s been working non stop with helping his sister and brother-in-law move into their new home, groaning he looked at the time on his phone seeing it read '7:55' sitting up he mumbled "Better get something to eat before sis calls me to fix something or help them move some more crap.”
Making his way into the kitchen James let out a yawn, making his way to the pantry he pulled out some pancake mix, turning around he went to the stove placing the mix next to the stove he reached into the cabinet next to the stove and took out a pan. Placing it on the stove he went back to the fridge and grabbed some butter as James rummaged through the fridge he thought ‘Probably should invest in buying an electric oven.....and a new fridge.’. After grabbing all he needed for the pancakes James walked back to the stove and flicked on the burner with the pan over it, nothing happened groaning he realized he would have to light the thing manually reaching up he flicked off the burner and went to grab the lighter. Coming back to the stove he flicked on the burner and then stuck the lighter next to the hole while trying to light it with it not taking hold James began to say "Light you mother-*BAM*"
(Elsewhere)
"-fucker.....wait what ?" James said bewildered looking around to see nothing but an empty void around him scratching his head he began to walk around until he ran into something and heard a voice say "Whoa there Mr.Levingston where are you going?"
"W-w-who said that !?!?"
"I go by many names but that doesn't matter what does is that you have died !" the voice said and at the end of his sentence a fan fare went off and confetti rained down on James who had a pale look on his face before he ultimately puked in the void "Oh c'mon man.......ugh hoping you wouldn't have done that."
"I'M DEAD !!!!"
"*sigh* lets skip ahead." the voice said as he stared at the now freaking out human and time seemed to warp around James and his freak out sped up after a few seconds the time warp came to an end. James looked calmer now taking deep breaths as he took a seat holding his head saying all the stuff he was missing and that he wouldn't get to watch, play, or do sighing the voice said "Look buddy i'm gonna give you a second chance."
"Really ?"
"Yes lets just say this is something I'm trying to do....redo." the voice said not hearing the last part James began to jump up and down thanking the diety, demon, angel or whatever chuckling the voice said "And because your house blew up your gonna get it back in the new world, along with the electricity, water, tv, internet, and ETC."
"Really ?" James said not believing the voice feeling pressure on both shoulders the voice confirmed this saying that keeping all the stuff he lost would just help with the adjustment to the new life/world he would be sent to thinking of a few questions James asked "So this new world what-"
"Nope , all I'll say this its peaceful and your gonna get a new body !" the voice exclaimed and a bright light shun showing off an anthropomorphic fox staring at the new body it mirrored his a little bit in height standing at 6' 0" and somehow the face seemed to resemble his face the muzzle was short and seemed natural looking. Walking around the new body he poked it in a couple places and looked it over the other thing he noticed after looking closer and the pokes was how the figure was much more muscular than he was. It was like some Olympian/crossfit athlete chuckling at how excited he was for the new body possibilities James beard the voice say “So I'm gonna shoot you into the new world now.”
"Wait can you at least tell me something about the world !"
"Ok 1 out of 6 odds." the voice said James looked up with a confused looking and both eyes were closed before sighing he mad a simple hand motion singling that he was ready to go.
(Equestria)
Sitting up in his bed James noticed that nothing had changed in his room, getting out of his bed he expected the outside world to be the same that all that had just happened was just a dream.......except for the new scenery outside his window. Staring out the window James saw a forest with trees that reached high into the sky backing away from the window James thought ‘Holy shit wasn’t a dream !’ .Sighing at the revelation that all that had happened James made his way back to his kitchen half expecting it to be blown up turning a corner James saw a sparkling new kitchen. Walking through it James was awestruck by how clean and new everything was from what he could see everything was state of the art, sighing he decided he could try getting used to the new world after breakfast. Making his way back to his refrigerator James saw a bright yellow piece of paper stuck to the fridge raising an eyebrow at the paper he grabbed it and read.
'Dear, Mr. Levingston,
I have upgraded your fridge and oven so you won't have any other problems, enjoy them and your new life.
Love, the all powerful *^^&*@'
Cocking an eye on the signature James sighed while putting the note back onto the fridge he went into the fridge and grabbed the supplies to make pancakes and hash browns. After gathering up everything James began to cook, after a few moments the wonderful aroma of pancakes and hash browns began to envade his nose letting out a small sigh his stomach gurgled in anticipation. After awhile he had about seven decently sized pancakes and a plate full of hash browns ready for him to eat, picking up the plate he had deposited the pancakes on Aloy with he bowl full of hash browns, James went to the dining table and sat down to eat.
(Outside James house)
Walking back to Ponyville from Zecoras house both Pinkie and Fluttershy were enjoying their time together conversing about what they were gonna do for lunch today. Pinkie pie was a bubble earth pony that had a bright pink fur while her mane and tail were a slightly darker pink, today the bubbly mare wore a bright blue T-shirt and Jean short shorts that hugged her waist Pinkie Pie stood around 5' 9". Walking next to her was a butter yellow Pegasus that had a pale pink mane and tail today she wore a forest green shirt and a pale blue skirt that went to her ankles Fluttershy was only a inch taller than Pinkie standing around 5' 10". As they got closer to town Pinkie stopped suddenly and began to sniff like a hound that got the scent of its prey with a serious look on her face she grabbed Fluttershy and began to drag her towards the smell which took the two away from Ponyville speaking up Fluttershy asked " P-Pinkie what are you doing ?"
"I smell pancakes Fluttersy and the smell is coming from over here."
"O-o-ok but w-w-why are we g-g-going toward the smell Ponyville is only few more minutes away."
"Because my Pinkie sense is telling me we need to meet this person." Pinkie said giving her friend a bright smile she thought 'This is my soulmate tingle...... I'm gonna have to apologize to Princess Candance when I get the chance.’. As Pinkie dragged her friend further away from Ponyville they both came upon a simple looking single level house. Gasping at the discovery Pinkie raced up to the door dragging Fluttershy behind her as soon as she reached the door she began to knock on it ,gasping at what her friend was doing Fluttershy immediately grabbed her hand while stepping in front of her Fluttershy said "Pinkie why are you knocking we don't even know who lives here !!!"
"Of course not Fluttershy but we should at least meet him...... HI I'M PINKIE !" she said turning around Fluttershy gasped at the sight standing before them was a bright orange fox with piercing forest green eyes, he wore a bright orange shirt that read 'Camp Halfblood' and black/green gym shorts. Immediately hiding behind Pinkie they both stared wide eyed at the fox who was equally shocked to see them picking up the conversation Pinkie said "Sorry about Fluttershy she's just nervous about meeting new people."
"Um....that's ok OH sorry my names James Levingston." the fox said offering his hand to the pink pony immediately took the hand and gave it an energetic shake after letting go ,James looked behind him then back at the mares smiling he tried not to show his teeth he said "So would you two like to join me for breakfast ?"
"W-w-what did y-y-you make ?" Fluttershy stammered giving her a small smile James explained that he made pancakes and hash browns smiling at the lack of meat Fluttershy gave the fox a simple nod. Stepping out of the way the fox swept his arm out allowing the mares into his home, as they walked by James couldn't help but stare at Pinkies derrière shaking his head he up quickly making his way into the kitchen to make the new arrivals some food.
(later that day)
After James cooked some more food for the mares a Q and A began between the three of them each asking different questions they got to know eachother better. James ending up learning a thing or two about the ‘ponies’ of this world, one example was that these ponies were omnivores and that there are more species besides the three pony tribes that make up their world of Equis. After the Q and A between the them Pinkie quickly asked James if they could be friends chuckling at the bubbly mare he said yes which earned a cheer and bone crushing bear hug from her .Pinkie was about to run out of her house but Fluttershy stopped her and pointed to the now setting sun frowning at this James said "If you guys are worried I can easily walk you back to Ponyville if you want, or at least to Fluttershys cottage if you want?"
"NO !" Fluttershy exclaimed flinching back James went wide eyed his face taking a sullen look ,realizing what she did Fluttershy immediately said "I-i-its just that at night it gets dangerous and i don't want you to get hurt trying to get us to my house."
"Oh ok, well you two can take my room for tonight." James said giving the mare a small smile seeing the nervous look on her face James quickly added "It’s all good the doors lock from the inside.....plus I don’t think I would be able to sleep tonight knowing I let you and Pinkie go off Into the forest at night."
"T-t-thank you James." Fluttershy said while tapping her fingers together jumping up next to her friend Pinkie Pie wrapped an arm around Fluttershy and said "Thanks James we'll defiantly repay you for this !"
"Hehehe don't sweat it Pinkie you two are my friends so don't worry about paying me back, having you two as friends is enough so let me show you to my room.... sorry that you have to share a room i never really got guests so one room is a storage thing and the other is just empty." James said shrugging his shoulders giggling Pinkie waved him off as the two followed him back to his master bedroom he, James even gave them some extra clothes they could wear as pajamas. Later that night both Fluttershy and Pinkie were sharing the bed, Pinkie needed to use the bathroom carefully getting out of bed she decided to use the one out in the hallway making her way out she quickly entered and took care of her business. After washing her hands Pinkie began to head back to her temporary room stopping she looked behind her to see a light coming from the living room where James was sleeping on a couch.
Making her way to the living room Pinkie saw the fox laying longways on the couch with the T.V. playing basketball but with weird hairless apes. Sighing she couldn't help but stare down at the fox, she felt the tingling of her heart and the fluttering of her stomach and she knew it was her Pinkie Sense telling her that this fox was her soulmate. Smirking she bent over the top of the couch and quickly stole a kiss from the fox enjoying the taste she broke the kiss she covered James with a blanket and said "Goodnight James seeya tomorrow."
(the next day)
Waking up the next day James felt great....which didn't make much sense considering the fact he just slept on a leather couch instead of his comfortable bed. Cracking his back James sniffed the air smelling fresh bacon, blueberry muffins, and eggs in the air standing up he began to following the aroma as he made his way into the kitchen he saw Pinkie Pie bouncing around in his Superman T-shirt and grey gym shorts, sitting down at the table was Fluttershy wearing a Wonder Woman T-shirt and blue gym shorts seeing him she said "G-g-good morning James."
"Morning Flutters....did the two of you sleep well ?" James asked walking into the kitchen to start helping with breakfast only to be pushed out by Pinkie with her saying "Yes I slept amazingly, NOW you sit I'll make breakfast as thanks for letting us stay tonight."
"M-me too James I slept wonderfully." Fluttershy said pushing two fingers together as she stared at the table top smirking at that he was about to say something when a loud banging came from the front door. Looking up curiously James said "I'll check that out."
Walking to the front of the house he made it to the front door hearing the banging getting louder as he reached the door James called out "Please stop hitting my door or you'll break it !" as he opened the door James was met with a bizarre sight standing in front of him were three new mares one had a violet coat and dark purple mane/tail with a hot pink streak her mane was tied back into a simple bun she was dressed like a librarian and had bright purple eyes she stood about 5' 11". Next to her was a orange cowgirl with bright emerald green eyes and blonde mane/tail held together with hair bands she was as tall as James and wore a worn brown Stetson on her head, standing in front of them dressed in a tank top and basket ball shorts was a cyan coated mare with a rainbow mane/tail the main being cut short and one side of her head being shaved (out of all the girls James has ever met she is one of the few who pulled it off) her violet eyes bore holes into the fox despite her petite stature James guess she barely broke 5'1". Gulping James said "So Pinkie made breakfast.... do you want some ?"
Popping around the corner Pinkie saw James standing in the doorway realizing who he must be talking to she rushed forward, jumping on his back and staring at her three friends her smile expanded exponentially. Taking a deep breath she was about to explain what happened until James pulled her off his back and set her in front of as a shield from the petite cyan nightmare that was threatening him. Not fighting his actions Pinkie began to explain the events that lead up to now "...and now we're here and I made waffles !" she exclaimed still glaring at him the cyan one was about to say something when the purple one cut her off saying "So James was it ?"
"Yes, that's me." James said offering his hand to the purple pony that was in front of him staring at her eyes his eyes traveled up noticing a horn jutting from her forehead opening his mouth he asked "So you have a horn ?"
"Yes James I do after all I'm a unicorn." the purple pony said pointing to her horn, taking his eyes of the unicorn James looked down at Pinkie who was smiling up at him and giving him nod. Sighing James moved to the side to allow the three women into his house grabbing her friends Pinkie began to make her way into the house dragging the cyan and purple one behind her while the orange just followed shaking her head. Closing the door James began to make his way back to his pseudo-dining room, as he reached the table James quickly realized that said table wouldn't be big enough for the six of them sitting at the table "Girls I’m sorry about-" James began but as he rounded the corner to see that the table had grown larger to seat more people, along with four other chairs three of which were occupied by the new arrivals.
Taking a seat James noticed a glass of orange juice waiting for him picking up the glass he took a quick sip before looking at the four women sitting at his now larger table. Putting the drink down James set his forearms on the table thinking about some questions to ask about the new world he was now living in, until a raspy voice spoke up "SO why the hell are you here ?" looking at the cyan girl James leaned back and began to recount the events that led him to this world.
"Ok so are we supposed to believe that you died, and were then brought to this world along with all your 'Hooman' junk and are now a six foot tall fox."
"Look I know its hard to believe but I'm telling the truth."
"Pffft like I believe you, why would something that powerful do this ?" the cyan pegasus asked again slapping the table grabbing the bridge of his nose James shrugged his shoulders and said "No idea, for all we know this is just some random idea he had and is giving a try to see what happens."
"Ok Rainbow I think we should back up and start with introducing ourselves." the purple unicorn said adjusting her vest she turned to James and said "My names Twilight Sparkle, I'm a unicorn pony mare, 24 years old and the Princess Celestia's personal student."
"Its nice to meet you I'm James Levingston 28 years old, I'm a professional tattoo artist." James said offering Twilight his hand smiling at the motion Twilight took his hand and gave it a shake. Turning to the others she gave them a confident smile sighing the orange mare said "Mah names Applejack, ah'm a earth pony mare, 25 years old and the proud owner of Sweet Apple Acres."
"It's nice to meet you, Applejack." James said leaning over the table a bit offering her his hand looking at it she gave it a firm shake. After releasing his hand James gave it a small shake wincing at how strong of a grip she had on his hand finally turning to the cyan 'mare' she gave a huff and said "Names Rainbow Dash, fastest Wonderbolt in equestria, I'm 25 years old."
"It's nice to meet you Rainbow Dash." James said offering having to lean over the table one more time offering her his hand for a shake glaring at it than him, giving her a awkward smile he sat back in his seat coughing into said hand. Giving her a quick glare Twilight turned back to James with a small smile on her face opening her mouth to say something she was quickly cut off by Pinkie placing large plates of pancakes, hash browns, bacon, and eggs. Fluttershy followed after her with plates setting them in front of her friends and James, after letting his guest serve themselves first James began to pile his plate high after taking a few bites of food James asked "So can you girls help me with learning about this country, I had a conversation with Fluttershy and Pinkie but I'm gonna guess I'll want to know more."
"Of course I'll be happy to help you James, but I will want to know more about the world you came from, that's only fair right ?" Twilight asked have a 'slight' glimmer in her eyes at the prospect of learning about a entirely new world, staring at the Unicorn James could have sworn he saw stars sparkling in her eyes. Scratching his head James looked to Pinkie who was shoveling the meal she had prepared in a record pace that would make any professional eater jealous, stopping mid way her cheeks puffed out in a comical way she gave James a thumbs up before continuing her eating spree sighing James said "Ok Ms. Sparkle you've got a deal........is there anything else that needs to happen before I can head to town ?"
"Yes, you just have to talk to the mayor real quick." Twilight said giving James a smile only to notice a concerned look on his face she quickly added "But don't worry once she knows that your safe she'll help you with the citizenship process."
"So when am I to meet her ?"
"I can get something set up for either tomorrow or the day after that."
"Ok then just let me know when." James said leaning back in his chair smirking at the fox Twilight said "Don't worry I'll pick you up to meet her."
(nine days later)
James was waiting for his citizenship sitting in an uncomfortable chair and in an even more uncomfortable suit that had been gifted to him by Rarity who was a friend of the other five girls. Grunting James tried to loosen the tie around his neck when a hand slapped it glaring at the before mentioned mare James went to do it again only to be slapped again this time the slap was followed by a slight British voice "Dear please stop I worked very hard trying to teach you to tie that, and I do NOT want to spend another three hours doings so again."
"Oh come on Rarity it wasn't that long."
"Actually James It was longer." a pony whispered next to him turning his head he gave Fluttershy a sympathetic look before saying "Et tu Fluttershy ?"
"Sorry but Rarity did spend a lot of time teaching you." Fluttershy said looking down she began to poke her fingers together sighing James scratched the back of his head muttering something under his breath. Sitting back in his seat James would have been playing on his phone if it hadn't been confiscated by Rarity. He gave the phone to her sister so she could kill time by watching youtube a few days ago...........it wasn't his fault that she had found one of the scariest videos it had to offer. Looking next to him he saw Rarity scrolling through said phone looking at the fashion of earth, James thought to ask for it back so- "NO." Rarity said not taking her eyes off the phone.
"No what Rarity?"
"You can't have it back yet, this is still mine for another day."
"Rarity your sister saw that video four days ago."
"Yes and she still won't leave my room and demands that we both sleep with bats."
"That's better, sounds like she stopped trying to set traps." James said giving her a sheepish grin looking up from the phone Rarity glared at the fox this look made his soul cold..... so very cold gulping James quickly said "Ok two more days without the phone won't hurt........OH and I have Disney movies that might help calm her down."
"Are they horror movies."
"No I swear !" James said pointing to his phone he added "Just google 'Disney movie trailers' and you'll see."
"Maybe tomorrow." Rarity said leaning back in her chair to only continue with her voyage into the great unknown of fashion that was earths. Grunting James began to slouch in his chair with both arms crossed today both Fluttershy and Rarity had traveled with him to the office while the other four were busy with their lives. James had arrived on this world eight days ago and became quick friends with a few of the girls mainly Twilight, Fluttershy, and Pinkie he had almost won over Rarity until her sister found that video. Both Applejack and Rainbow were being distant but he didn't mind that turning to look around he tried to not stare at Rarity too much considering her attire. The blue blouse she wore had a low collar and no sleeves that showed a lot of cleavage she also wore some white dress pants that hugged her waist. While Fluttershy was the complete opposite wearing a high collar and long sleeve forest green shirt with a long dress that went to her ankles her attire tried to hide as much as possible.
After what felt like hours a receptionist called for James walking up to the counter she gave him a small smile and handed him a manila envelope and wished him luck. After taking the envelope James went back to Rarity and Fluttershy and told them he had the results from the test smiling they suggested they go back to his house to read the results of the test. Smiling at the suggestion he quickly agreed getting up to follow them out they began the journey to his house. As the three walked through the town James quickly noticed how dead it was frowning a bit he felt an uneasiness in his stomach, the town wasn't a city but It was much like a college town large enough to have a crowd but not large enough to be over crowded. Stopping in front of the local ice cream shop he noticed a closed sign in the window turning to ask Rarity or Fluttershy what was going on he only ended up being dragged away from the store further into the abandoned town.
After a half hour of walking the three of them began to head out of town towards his house, which was now closer to the town line with the help of Twilight. James had asked Twilight to see if she could move his house closer to town so that anybody wishing to visit wouldn't risk attack from wildlife. So instead of being a mile and something out of town he now was a few hundred yards from the town line his house now sitting on a visible hill west of the town easily seen from certain areas of the town while just by sitting on the front porch he could easily see the town. Reaching the front door James began to open it stepping to the side to let both Fluttershy and Rarity inside once both of them had gone inside James followed, after a few steps he noticed that no lights were on after a few steps they quickly flashed revealing he was inside golden oaks library along with most of the town screaming "SURPRISE !!!!"
Feeling his heart clench in his chest James was about to pass out when a pink blur appeared before him clapping both her hands on the sides of his face. Gaining awareness to his surroundings James looked down at Pinkie who had a bright gleam in her eyes and a wide smile pulling him to the center of the room she than introduced him to the town 'officially' smiling James waved back at a few of the ponies. Turning back to the fox Pinkie snatched the envelope from his hand and ripped it open instead of taking out the contents she held them out for James to read off of, gingerly taking them from her James flipped them over to read the results smiling widely he exclaimed "Looks like I'm a citizen of Equestria !"
Letting out loud hoops and hollers the town began to congratulate him on his citizenship and the part welcoming him to ponyville/equecstria/equis began. Making his way over to the beverages and snacks James began to pick his way through the party food that Pinkie had set up for the party, after gathering the snack foods he wanted James made his way over to an unoccupied chair. Sitting down James began to look over the party many of the ponies were giving him looks that had slight hints of fear and uneasiness shrugging his shoulders at him he went back to eating, bouncing over to him Pinkie ended up plopping into his lap giggling at his puffed out cheeks she said "James how you liking my party ?"
"A lot Pinkie, but I think some of the ponies are a bit nervous around me." James said looking over to one of the pony groups giving him nervous looks looking at them Pinkie adjusted her sitting putting herself further onto his lap turning to look at him she said "Oh don't worry about them we just have to have a quick Q and A with you."
"Didn't you and Shy already do that ?"
"Yeah but we didn't talk about..........personal stuff."
"Personal stuff ?"
"Yeah like.........does your species herd?" Pinkie said catching the attention of several mares surrounding the area including Twilight, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Glaring slightly at the pink pony she simply gave him a wink grunting he looked to see the small crowd form around him sighing he said "Ok I don't know what herding is could someone explain ?"
"It's when a stallion forms a group of mares the number is usually between 5-6 mares sometimes less or more but that depends on the area of the country, ideals of the stallion/mares, and the size of the city/town they live in." Twilight clarified as she stepped out of the crowd nodding at her explanation James said "Ok we have a form of that called harems, and that technique hasn't really been used for a few hundred years and those who do practice it are frowned upon by society."
"Wait why is that." a magenta mare wearing a formal clothing the kind a teacher would usually wear scratching his head James began to think about what to say after a minute he said "Ok my world has a 50-50 ratio between men and woman, along with how the present world is, and that in the past it was literally used as a big ole thing so emperors and kings could have multiple heirs for their throne OR to collect pretty girls and to have them as trophies."
"Really now ?" a mint green unicorn said she wore a white collared shirt and black shorts nodding at her reaction James just gave her a nod frowning a bit she asked "So are all relationships like that in the present time you come from."
"Yes and no.....certain marriages or relationships are only built to strengthen families money or titles while others are a whole shame that just happened so one of the people could get money from the other."
"Seriously !!" Looking over to Rainbow Dash James gave her a guilty smile and nod looking down at his plastic cup he took quick sip and added "Ok so not all relationships are like that some like my parents are built up with trust and love, while others like my grandparents on my moms side were arranged and forced."
"Really your grandparents were forced to get married dude ?"
"Rainbow if I could tell you how much they hated the sight of each other or the numerous times they cheated on each other we would be here till sunrise, my aunt is my sisters half sibling and the only reason I know this is cause my grandma got drunk and told me she fucked some random coworker that my granddad hated just to spite him." James said as a angry scowl began to develop on his face before he continued saying "But their hate for each other didn't match my hate for them."
"Really why did you hate them ?" Rarity asked giving him an odd looked giving her an eye roll he said "Probably cause they forced a massive amount of debt on my mom when she eloped with my dad OR when they called me and my sister grandbastards every time they saw us."
"That's awful darling."
"Hehehe Rarity I learned at a young age that you shouldn't piss off my dad."
"How so ?"
"Ehh that's a story for another time lets move on.........yes you in the blue scrubs." James said pointing to a white mare with pink hair she asked "Were you in a relationship with anypony in your old world ?"
"No, I couldn't get the time of day from any girl." James said giving the mare a head shake and the night continued on with people asking many questions about the world he came from, personal life, hobbies, and other stuff after a few hours the crowd died down and many began to leave to head home after awhile the only ones left were Pinkie and her friends along with a purple dragon. James wanted to leave but Pinkie had made a comfortable body pillow out of him looking up he saw a concerned look on Rarity and Applejacks faces as they discussed something they were close enough for him to only catch the tail end of the conversation ".....Rares do we really have tah go on this dumb date ?"
"I'm afraid so Applejack, this noble did make a polite request for our herd to accompany him to a play."
"But what about our sisters this play is in two days, that cutting it mighty close to find a............what is it James ?" Applejack growled seeing James staring at them holding up his free hand James said "Sorry for eavesdropping but I could watch them if you would allow me to ?"
"Whah would let you watch our sisters ?"
"Oh come on Applejack I'll do it for free...........and I've met your brother do you really think I would risk pissing THAT off ?"
"Still whah woul-"
"Would you be able to watch them for hmmm two days ?" Rarity asked giving James a stern look puffing out his chest James said "No problem just give me a list of allergies and what ever rules I need to follow and It'll be fine."
"Hmmm."
"C'mon on if I did anything it would be the highest form of stupidity to exist in any universe considering Applejacks brother, Twilights connections, both your and Twilights magic, AND Pinkie !" James said finishing his sentence by pointing at Pinkie.....something deep down in James told him to NEVER piss her off for fear of being wiped from existence continuing he said "Plus I want to earn your trust and show you guys I can be your friend."
"Fine but if you put Applebloom through the same thing that you did Sweetie bell ah'll hog tie you upside down and turn you into a piñata."
"Ok first I didn't think she would find a horror video on there I swear !" James said having a pleading look in his eyes smiling at him Applejack simply made a twisting motion with her hand, giving him a Cheshire grin Rarity said "We'll see you tomorrow darling to drop off our sisters along with Scootaloo it'd be a shame to not allow her to join in on the sleep over...you have a nice night now."
(James house)
Feeling his back hit soft leather James felt sick to his stomach realizing Rarity just teleported him back to his house getting off his couch James began to make his way to his room to change for bed. Scratching his head James opened the door to the bedroom noticing a pink not with white writing sitting on his bed James made his way over to the bed and began to read the note he quickly realized that it was a list on how to take care of Raritiy's and Applejacks sisters along with Rainbow Dash's daughter Scootaloo reading it over a few times James laid down in his bed feeling the days events catching up to him and the gentle rest of sleep taking him.

"Seriously Rarity I can't believe your gonna let him watch my daughter and your sisters." Rainbow Dash said looking over to her adopted daughter playing with her friends sighing Rarity rubbed her temples after teleporting James away her and her friends sat down at the table. They had begun to discuss the upcoming "date" that had been requested of them and who would watch the crusaders, after Applejack brought It up the pink mare woke up and let out a happy neigh while Twilight and Fluttershy gave small claps. While those three had a positive reaction Rainbow Dash was the opposite immediately showing her distrust for him sighing Rarity said "Ok darling who do you think we would be able to find this last minute, we have to leave tomorrow to be able to even make it to canterlot."
"Well we could get Big mac and his-"
"Sorry sugar they left right after the party for Marebbean for a week long vacation." Applejack said looking down at the ground grunting she continued "Plus even if we could get somepony they would charge Celestia knows how much to watch those three."
"That is if we could get somepony to watch them." Twilight said looking at her what would be her adopted daughters considering she was in a bachelorette herd with Rarity, Applejack and Rainbow Dash. Looking away from the card playing trio she continued "You girls know I would do anything and everything for them, but if James is offering to do it for free I say we take it."
"I second that Twily !' Pinkie said slightly glomping the purple mare her hair still a little disheveled from using James as a pillow she had a bright light in hers eyes she continued "Plus I trust James and my Pinkie sense hasn't gone off saying he is bad.........by the way the pony that requested the "date" is a douche bag and only wants to bone us."
"UGH......how long do we need it to last Pinkie ?" Rainbow Dash groaned rubbing her temples giving a guilty smile she said "Just get one of the girls to call us and ask for us before we enter the theater..........OH and also tell them to ask for mommy."
"W-w-what will that do ?" Fluttershy asked looking at the crusaders wanting to hold scootaloo close tonight was her night to watch the young Pegasus and she wanted cuddle time with her Rarity answered in Pinikies stead "Let me guess Pinkie as soon as he hears one of our 'daughters' as for mommy he is gonna call off the date."
"Yeah." Pinkie said her mane loosing some color and bouncy ness sniffling she said "He will think that we're used goods and tell us 'I'll keep it a secret but leave I have no use for horses'."
"Oh god girls when will we find a good stallion ?" Twilight said as tears began to form in her eyes feeling their spirits deflate slightly Pinkie said "Maybe after this we shouldn't take any 'dates' for a little while."
"Ah agree......you know girls ah'm mighty tired and with what we just talked about do you mind if we-"
"Yes Applejack I think we should spend the night together." Twilight said pushing back from the table she began to make her way upstairs followed by Fluttershy, Rainbow, Applejack and Rarity. Still sitting at the table Pinkie had offered to put the crusaders to bed. Looking out the window Pinkie let out a sad sigh thought 'Just have to wait till James kisses me....and then me and the girls can be happy.'

Waking up James let out a loud yawn before getting out of bed, making his way into his kitchen his thoughts were on the babysitting job he had today and what needed to be done. Thinking about what to show them James decided to be selfish and was gonna watch marvel movies with the fillies, after about three days into living in equestrian James had noticed an app on his computer, phone, and Xbox/PlayStation called Cosmic Entertainment, this app had ALL entertainment from earth and he got them all for free. The downside to this app was that he still had to wait for all the movies, games, books, and T.V. shows to be released, an example is the new Avengers Infinity War he has to wait another three weeks before he can watch it them movie, the app also followed Netflix type rules so when a show was released the entire season came out ! He even got sports they were also live, James even got notifications about the dates and times of the games. Taking out his phone James looked at the time making sure he still could make himself some coffee and toast reading off the screen it said 9:03 a.m. smirking he turned and began to set up his coffee maker. After a fixing everything James went over to the living room with his coffee and toast sitting down James turned on his PlayStation and began to scroll through the shows clicking on Flash Season 2 episode 10 James continued from where he left off. Watching as Team Flash went over their adventures for again he felt his phone buzz, lifting it up he read a message that Rarity had sent.
*Darling are you awake ?*
*Ok so are you ready to watch the fillies today ?*
*They better be foal friendly or else.*
Shuddering at the text James could feeling Rarity's glare through the text taking a small breath he began to tap out his reply
*I just asked Applejack and Rainbow Dash and they said that's fine as long as their is no nudity !*
*Good we will need you to pick the fillies up around 10:30.*
*Yes darling.*
*The all are 8 years old darling.* Nodding his head James quickly sent a reply saying thanks, James leaned back into his couch trying to think about how he could make these next two days of babysitting. James was glad he could help out the mares but was very worried about what could happen, but that was future James problem his at the moment was watching Team Flash and their adventures along with finishing his coffee.
(With Rarity)
Sitting in Twilights kitchen Rarity began to put up her phone looking over to the young Fillies who were eating pancakes that Fluttershy had made them. Looking at her herd mates she showed them the texts that were between her and James, scowling at the texts Applejack began to form a retort until a hand was placed on her shoulder, looking to her right she saw Pinkie giving her a reassuring smile placing her hand over hers the friends began talking to the fillies and how they needed to mind James.
"I can't wait to hang out with James." Scootaloo said while looking up at Fluttershy she gave her a wide smile while asking "Momma Fluttershy what movies is he gonna show us ?"
"Oh I don't know Scoots but it better not be anything that'll give you fillies nightmares." Fluttershy answered while making her way over Scootaloo to give her a kiss on the forehead pulling away she continued "But he does have a lot of movies and T.V. shows so you'll have to wait and see."
"Ah hope its not something scary like what Sweetie saw." Applebloom spoke up seeing Rarity scowl and her older sister clench her fist Rarity said "I made it VERY clear that he wouldn't show anything scary to you fillies or he would regret it."
"Really Rarity ?" Sweetie said with a small whimper she ended up looking down at her pancakes, seeing how sad she looked Rarity got out of her chair making her way over to her sister she gave her a hug and said "Yes darling I think he learned his lesson from last time and has 'Disneigh' movies for you to watch."
"What are those, Rarity ?" Twilight asked giving Rarity a questioning look only to earn a shoulder shrug from her standing up Rainbow Dash looked up to the wall clock and said "Ok we gotta go girls, we still have to get them ready for the next two days and have to be at the train station in forty minutes."
"Right c'mon girls lets get these here fillies ready for James." Applejack said standing up also she began to collect dishes that weren't being used by the herd and taking them to the sink to be washed with Pinkie helping her. Twilight and Fluttershy grabbed the fillies and took them to get their clothes for the next couple days, while they did this they discussed the rules they had to follow. Rainbow Dash and Rarity were looking over the plans they had for the 'date' and how they were gonna ditch him, but most of their energy was concentrated on the rules that James was gonna need for the fillies and how the care they would need.
(Train Station)
James had grabbed the closest clothes he had before leaving his house, a mass effect t-shirt and a pair of black plaid cargo shorts. He had just gotten to the station and was waiting for the mares, watching trailers for different movies mostly the new Venom and Infinity War trailers, when he was about to click on another trailer he felt someone tap his shoulder. Looking to his left he saw pinkie wearing a pink blouse and jean short shorts, feeling his eyes drift low James found himself staring at her exposed chest and which seemed to be exposed just enough for him to see. Pulling his eyes away from her chest James looked Pinkie in her baby blue eyes, giggling at this she began to go over all that he needed to know for watching the fillies. Asking a few questions about the girls he was watching James and Pinkie's conversation slowly began to turn from foalsitting to more their personal lives, James began to get to know Pinkie better and was glad for that. Giggling at one of James jokes Pinkie had placed one of her hands on his forearm and held it there for a few seconds, before James took notice her friends showed up as they came up Rainbow noticed where Pinkies hand was. Getting up James made his way over to the mares and looked down at the three cutie mark crusaders and gave them a warm smile, clapping his hands together James turned to the mares and asked "So what do I need to know ?"
"Well me and Rainbow went over the list of what you need, but we were then informed that Pinkie delivered a note that had all the rules you had to follow." Rarity said crossing her arms James simply gave her a small nod, today Rarity wore a simple white Sunday dress smirking at him she clicked her fingers causing multiple pairs of luggage appeared. Looking at them James immediately noticed that the cases matched each of the mares and fillies, chuckling James pointed to three suitcases there colors being orange, pale yellow and white while saying "So I guess those are the girls luggage for the next couple days."
"Good job Sherlock." Rainbow said giving him a sarcastic clap she then turned around to fix Scootaloos hair while whispering something to the young filly, while she did this James took some time to notice the running shorts she wore along with a work out shirt that seemed to fit her figure perfectly, before she could notice his staring James turned his attention to the track while Rainbow asked James "Ok so what do you have planned for their dinner tonight ?"
"Uh I was gonna make some chicken parmesan with spaghetti, nothing to fancy than I figured we could enjoy some movies starting with Iron Man."
"What the heck is a Iron man ?" Applejack said glaring at James raising both hands he gave her an innocent look before saying "Its just a superhero movie, one that kicked of a WHOLE cinematic universe."
"Well ah don't know about that but if it gives em nightmares you know what gonna happen." Applejack growled giving her a frantic nod James couldn't help but admire her cowgirl look faded jeans, red/white plaid shirt and her signature stentson gulping James continued "I promise Applejack that when you get back they'll sleep heavier than logs."
*WHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO*
Turning around the ten individuals saw the train bound for Canterlot pulling up turning back to the fox Rainbow, Rarity and Applejack gave their goodbyes to the fillies while telling James to be careful with them. Before the six mares left James grabbed their luggage and began helping them load it into their private cart which had been supplied to them, once he had finished that James exited the train. After waving good bye James grabbed the luggage that Rarity had brought with her for the fillies, once he had had a comfortable hold on all the luggage he began to lead the fillies to his house, following the fox all three of the fillies couldn't help but cast each other concerned looks. Feeling the looks that James was getting from the fillies he let out a small sigh, turning his head slightly he said "So you girls excited for your sleepover tonight ?"
"Uh....y-yes Mr. Levingston." Sweetie mumble quietly trying not to look up at the fox frowning slightly James turned back around and ran a hand through his hair and said "Ok so you girls just have to follow a couple rules in my house."
"What kinda rules ?" Scootaloo said shooting James a small glare chuckling he shrugged he shoulder looking at the young tomb boy before saying "Like you girls not watching anything without running it past me first, No playing rated M games and watching only shows and movies in my kid friendly files."
"Wait so we have to watch foal movies and shows ?" Scootaloo whined throwing up her arms and huffing, turning to their friend both Sweetie and Applebloom both had an annoyed look on their face telling her not to anger their babysitter. Hearing a small chuckled the fillies looked up at James shoulders shaking looking at each other than back at the fox they heard him say "No Scoots they aren't all kids shows, they are just shows I think your eight year old minds can handle."
"What does that mean ?" Sweetie asked cocking her head to the side trying to get James to look at her keeping his eyes forward he said "It just means that the shows and movies have things that won't have you guys asking me....questions meant for your sisters or moms."
"Oh like what ?" Applebloom said jogging ahead of James so he could look at her which James did seeing her giving him a smirk shrugging his shoulders James said "Like adult things, THAT I am not gonna touch with the worlds longest ruler."
Looking up the three fillies noticed that they had arrived at James house as he opened the door James stepped to the side letting the fillies in before himself. As they made their way into the house they would be staying in for the next couple of days they quickly noticed how small the house was, especially Scootaloo since she lived with Fluttershy at her cottage along with Rainbow Dash. His house was probably a room or two smaller than hers making her way into the living room she saw the largest T.V. she's ever seen sitting on a far wall, surrounding said T.V. was a large entertainment center that held a huge collection of shows and games gawking at the games Scootaloo felt her mouth hanging open. She did notice something odd about the cases they were thinner than the ones at Twilights house reaching out she picked up a game called Mass Effect Andromeda opening the case she noticed a circular thing in it instead of a cartridge, walking up behind Scootaloo James noticed her staring at Mass Effect he reaching out he gently took the game away from her while saying "Sorry kid but this is Rated M which means that you can't play it."
"Ok, but how can I play it when its not a cartridge ?"
"Uh you can.........with my X box." James said pointing at the black box that sat next to a thinner one cocking her head she asked "Ok how does that work neither of them have a port ?"
"..............By placing it in a slot." James said giving the filly a curious look as he began to go through his mind James began to recall some things about the world, the few times he went out James had noticed how certain technologies were way behind his own. Examples were that the inhabitant traveled by air balloons, carts, and trains but they had cell phones and kitchen appliances that belonged in 2018, and then for entertainment systems seemed to come straight from 1988. Rubbing his nose James felt a migraine coming on just by thinking of the three different decades that seemed to coexist in this world taking a deep breath James began to explain how advanced his world was and proceeded to show the filly how the systems. After doing this he let her choose almost any game to play after a few minutes she ended up choosing to play Kingdom Hearts 1.5 final mix, once the game got going James left her and went to the kitchen to see what Applebloom and Sweetie were up to.
Walking into the dining area James noticed the two fillies sitting at the table playing with some cards taking a seat at the table James said "So you girls could go and take turns playing on my PlayStation with Scootaloo if you want."
"No thanks James me ad AB will play some cards." Sweetie said passing a couple cards to Applebloom before setting the deck down so they could begin playing Go Fish. Watching them James felt his phone go off taking it out he noticed a text from Rarity opening the message he expected something of a threat or to check to make sure that he hadn't messed up.
*Good luck darling* reading the text James felt warmth go through his system and a small smile cross his face as this happened he began to type out a reply
(6:00 p.m. dinner time)
Grabbing the chicken from the oven James began to serve the fillies walking setting the plates on the counter James called for them to come get their food and get seated in the dining room which was right across from the living room giving them a good look at the T.V. grabbing the food and sitting down with their drinks they looked to James. After serving himself some food and a drink James sat down at the head of the table, picking up a controller James picked the Iron Man movie to watch, watching the opening credits Scootaloo spoke up saying "So how is this supposed to be cool ?"
"Scoots lets just watch tha movie and find out." Applebloom said already invested in the movie after action in the first couple minutes her eyes glued to the screen along with Sweetie Bell. Chuckling at Applebloom James gave Scootaloo a wink which she blew a raspberry in return, as the movie kept playing James couldn't help but note that the girls each seemed glued to the screen watching as Tony Stark demonstrated his new missiles, when he built up his Mk. 1 armor, testing the newer models, the betrayal, and then finally the climactic ending. Jumping up from the couch they had moved to Scootaloo shouted "THAT WAS AWESOME !!!!!"
"Ah agree Scoots."
"James can we watch the next one ?" Sweetie asked looking up at James giving him her best puppy eyes which were than followed by Scootaloo and Applebloom chuckling James quickly checked his phone seeing the time which was 8:00 p.m. nodding his head he said "Yeah we can watch the second Iron man but First you girls need to call your sisters and mom, along with getting ready for bed."
"Alright, but where are we sleeping ?" Sweetie asked as she got off the couch to do as James asked looking away from the screen James where he was setting up Iron Man 2 to play he said "If you girls don't mind sharing a bed and bathroom you'll be staying in my room."
"We don't James." Applebloom said while racing to the back bedroom to get ready for bed so they could watch the next movie following behind her Scootaloo and Sweetie were close behind her. Chuckling at them James clicked on the movie and set it up to where he only had to hit the play button to start the movie, standing up James gave a small stretch while making his way over to the kitchen to grab a juice to drink.
(Canterlot Hotel Luxury suite)
Hearing the phone going off the main six rushed over to it to talk to the girls hitting the receive button they saw the crusaders pop up onto the screen each already for bed and looking excited. Smiling at this Rarity couldn't help but smile at the time it usually took her and the girls until around 9:30 or a little later to get them all ready for bed, the first to ask how the girls were doing was Twilight "Are you all having a good time ?"
"Yeah Momma Twilight, James showed us the coolest movie of ALL TIME !" Scootaloo said throwing up her arms scowling at he Sweetie spoke up saying "Scoots we still have ten years of Marvel movies to watch the later ones should be way cooler."
"Ah agree with Sweetie maybe the later ones are way cooler!" Applebloom said giving her a glare not noticing the confused looks from the main six speaking up Rarity asked "Scoots darling what movie was this ?"
"Y-y-you aren't gonna have nightmares are you ?" Fluttershy asked looking concerned for her daughters sake having a surprised look come across her face Scootaloo gave a sharp shake of her head saying "Of course not momma Fluttershy the movie he showed us was Iron Man from this 'file' called Marvel its a superhero movie, we asked James if we could watch more movies from the file and he said yes !"
"You girls aren't gonna stay up late watching all these movies are you ?" Pinkie said going mom mode on the situation giving a stern look at the three fillies the first to speak up was Sweetie saying "Of course not Pinkie James said we can watch one more movie but after that bed time."
"Really now ?" Applejack said crossing her arms and giving a look to Rainbow Dash who had a cross look on her face it may have been Friday but the fillies didn't need to stay up late. Nodding their heads the fillies began to explain that he told them that they could watch one more movie but after they HAD to go to bed or else he wouldn't allow them to watch any more movies from the Marvel universe. As they began to tell their herd mothers what was planned for tomorrow and how they were gonna follow the plan they were given so they could get away from the bad stallion, after that the crusaders heard James calling for them saying he was gonna start the movie with out them turning back to the herd they wished the main six a good night and sent their love before hanging up the phone.
"Well I think James had that under control." Twilight said looking at the blank screen she than turned to her herd mates before saying "He managed to get them in their PJs at 8:00 that's some kinda record."
"I have to agree with Twilight James seems to be doing great." Rarity said still staring at the screen looking at the two mares with surprise Applejack said "Just cause he manage to get those fillies into PJs means nothing."
"I agree with AJ, I think he is just lucky so far." Rainbow said strolling over the large bed the six of them were sharing, jumping into the bed she flipped over to her back walking over Pinkie sat beside her friend saying "C'mon Dashie just give James a chance I'll bet that at the end of all this they'll ask for him to watch them again !"
"Really Pinks then put up some bits !" Rainbow said still looking at the pink pony who had her signature child smile she then said "Ok I'll help you guys with any jobs you and AJ have no arguing !!"
"Really now ?" Applejack asked crossing her arms smiling at her she went through the motions for her Pinkie Promise giving her a surprised look Applejack wouldn't back down saying "Ok so what happens if me and Dash lose."
"Hmmm if James for some reason or another EVER asks us out on a date YOU can't argue and MUST give him a fair chance on said date !" Pinkie said pointing at both the mares while giving them a serious look both of who had disgusted looks leaning back a bit she sighed while saying "But I guess if you two are afraid we could just ignore thi-"
"WE AREN"T AFRAID !!!!" both mares yelled at the pink pony who still had a bored look on her face while giving both of them a shrug which then sent the mares over the edge they then went through the Pinkie Promise sealing the deal smirking Pinkie said "Well I hope I don't lose."
"Pinkie I-I-is there s-s-something you w-w-want to tell us ?" Fluttershy asked only to earn a playful chuckle from the mare who could only shrug her shoulders. Giving each other looks they decided it was Pinkie being Pinkie and would simply have to ignore the bet until the winners were decided, getting in bed they each snuggled together with Pinkie being closest to Rarity and Fluttershy looking over Rarity whispered "Pinkie does James like us ?"
"A little Rarity my Pinkie sense said he's a good stallion that we can trust." Pinkie said pulling Rarity closer she gave her a peck on the lips before saying "Plus the fillies love him."
(Back at James's house)
Sleeping in a darkened living room James and the crusaders were asleep on his left was Applebloom was leaning up against his left side using him as a pillow while Sweetie used his right sleeping on his lap Scootaloo snuggled up as close to him as she could. Feeling something move James adjusted himself to help the fillies get comfortable by him, but this was done unconsciously wanting the fillies to be comfortable in his mind James was dreaming of a family he hoped to have one day. Smiling James felt like this dream could come true a chance to have a happy family and kids that he could spoil with his love along with a wife he could share everyday with but ever since he arrived on this world he felt like that dream could never come true..........
(Next Day)
Rolling to the side Pinkie's arm wrapped around the figure next to her cracking her eye she saw the orange fur of her fox lover smiling she pulled herself up letting the blanket fall off her naked form. Leaning over she gave the fox a kiss causing him to stir he looked up at her smiling at the beauty that had woken him, he sat up to join her leaning in he gave the mare a kiss who began to lean into the kiss Pinkie let her hand trail down to underneath the sheet. As she felt the soft muscle in her hand she began to gently pump breaking the kiss the fox said "Again ?"
"I just want to show you my love." Pinkie said giving him bedroom eyes while still pumping his meat chuckling the fox pushed her back against the bed while saying "Oh you showed me plenty, but......"
James looked over the mares sinful body and licked his lips while taking a dominant position over the mare who felt her heart beat increase drastically, while he did this she felt him move between her legs pushing them open. Wondering what the fox was about to say earlier and what he had planned for the moment she than felt him grab her butt she let out a small eep, causing the fox to chuckle after which he finished his sentence "I think its my turn to show you my love for you."
"Will you be gentle my prince."
"Only if you want."
"I don't care I only want you to take me."
"Ok my-PINKIE !" the fox yelled jolting a bit Pinkie looked around the now empty room the fox had disappeared leaving her naked and alone groaning she flung herself back while the voice called out again "C'mon Wake up !"
(Real World)
Opening her eyes Pinkie looked to see Applejack glaring at her who gave a small glare back she was almost at the best part of her dream, groaning the mare pushed herself up to see her herd mates dressed and ready to go shopping for clothes tonight. Rolling out of the bed Pinkie said good morning to each of them as she made her way into the bathroom, making her way to the sink Pinkie shut the door behind her looking up at the mirror she saw the massive blush on her face due to her dream. Sighing she turned to the shower walking over to handle she turned on using her pinkie sense to set the water to a warm temperature, taking off her pajamas she turned to toss them onto a pile of dirty clothes that herd mates had started. After taking her shower Pinkie got out and began to dry herself off looking for a change of clothes she let out a quiet groan realizing she had forgotten to grab something to wear for the day, grumbling a little to herself she walked out of the bathroom in the buff making her way over to her luggage.
"Uh Pinkie you might want to cover up." Twilight said from behind her ears swiveling in her direction standing up she looked behind her to see the girls gathered around the tablet feeling a blush come across her face realizing her was on the screen. Quickly grabbing her clothes she raced back into the bathroom an embarrassed look on her face as she disappeared into the room she placed a hand on her chest feeling her racing heart beat against her ribcage all the while thinking 'I can't believe that just happened.'
"Did you see any of that pardner ?" Applejack asked James turning her attention back to the fox seeing a wide eyed and blushing the fox opened and closed his mouth trying to come up with something to say but the only coherent sentence they could make out was "Pink......round..........big............cute."
"Look we get it you saw your first naked mare !" Rainbow said with a growl snapping the fox out of his daze shaking his head and glared at the mare who ignored the look while saying " So what plans do you have for the girls today ?"
"Uhhhh..........right today I was gonna take them to the park and play with them for a couple hours , than i was gonna bring them back home and let them choose what they want to do next."
"What about those Marval movies ?" Rarity asked cutting Rainbow Dash off before she could say something to the fox again, this question also caught the attention of the herd even Rainbow who gave a simple nod of her head, James said "Yeah they woke me up at like seven or eight to start the next movie in the line up I was gonna let them watch one more before taking them to the park."
"Hmmm darling this Cosmic Entertainment, can you share it with other devices ?"
"Yes I just send it to you by text or email........don't know how that works BUT it does, why ?"
"We want to watch it to so when we get back we can at least watch them with the girls." Twilight quickly cut in her excitement getting the better of her watching foreign movies from another dimension, bonding time with her daughter and step-sisters, and NEW BOOKS ! Chuckling at her reaction James leaned back with a evil smile on his face placing both his hands on the back of his head while saying "Twilight that's not the only reason."
"H-h-huh what do you mean ?"
"Sorry Twilight but Scootaloo warned me about how you get with books.....................so I'll send it to Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy for safe keeping." James said shrugging his shoulders Twilight puffed out her cheeks pouting a bit at this continuing James said "Its okay Twilight I just would feel bad if you disappeared for six weeks trying to read any and all books from my world, so I'm gonna cut you a deal come over to my house and I'll download books I think you would enjoy onto an old tablet that I don't use."
"Really James !"
"Yes but you either have to be with Rarity or Applejack, cause I think they would be able to tear you away from the tablet." James said giving Twilight a curious look blushing she looked away, Applejack covered her mouth letting out a small snicker while Rarity was a bit more open with her giggling. After a few minutes of talking Pinkie walked out of the bathroom trying not to look at the tablet, pulling out his phone James looked at the time on it before saying "Ok since Rarity is the only one with my number I'm gonna give Fluttershy and Applejack my cell number so you can text me in your free time, once you do that I'll send you Cosmic Entertainment app and you can download it."
"Thanks James." Fluttershy said while tapping in his number to send him a message along with Applejack so they could get the CE app as soon as possible noticing his phone go off James gave the girls a small smirk before snarking "This stallion must suck if your trying to get extraterrestrial entertainment."
"You have no idea." Rainbow muttered before walking to the door so she could exit their hotel room chuckling James gave the girls a wink before hearing a noise coming from the living room sighing he said "I'm guessing that they just finished with Thor, so I'll have the girls call you around seven thirty right ?"
"Yes darling..........and could you allow them to do it in private ?" Rarity asked getting a curious look from James before a reluctant nod as soon as he did that the mares began to give him good byes as they left the last one being Pinkie who was redder than a tomato she mumbled "Bye James." before hitting the red hang up button. Following the girls out of the room she noticed that they were giving her a curious look not meeting their eyes she speed walked down the hall toward the elevator, catching up to her the six of them rode down to the main floor all the while Pinkie tried not to make any kind of eye contact with them. As they got to the main floor they made their way out of the building so they could start shopping for tonight's date, hearing her phone go off Rarity pulled it out of her purse noticing a text from James unlocking her phone she tapped the message. Seeing a link in the message she clicked on it seeing another message pop up she read 'Do you wish to download Cosmic Entertainment ?' she immediately clicked on the green yes, within moments the app downloaded.
Nodding her head she noticed that Pinkie was waving at her while pointing to a carriage that Princess Celestia let them used, she quickly put the cell phone back into her purse before running to catch up to her herd. Once they had all gotten into the carriage Rarity showed the girls the now downloaded app they began to debate whether they should start 'Iron Man' now or wait till later, Applejack suggested to start it since the shopping district was at least fifty minutes away due to the traffic. Agreeing with her Rarity used her magic to levitate the phone to the middle of the carriage while the girls crowded around trying to get comfortable, once they had gotten comfortable Twilight than used her magic to increase the screen size to be about twenty inches. Before starting the movie Rarity used her magic to darken the carriage so the image didn't have any glares on the screen once that had been done she reached forward and hit play starting the movie. Just like the young crusaders the mares had been engrossed into the movie falling in love with the characters and the story so far, so once they had reached the shopping district the mares let out quiet groans because of the interruption getting out of the carriage they stretched out their limbs.
"That is a mighty interstin movie James introduced us to." Applejack said looking back at the girls who each gave her a nod Rainbow was trying her best to keep he excitement bottled up smiling Applejack said "C'mon Dash you gotta admit that the escape scene was pretty cool ?"
"Yeah okay the fox has one cool movie, but that doesn't mean the rest are cool."
"I don't know darling from what the girls heard from James the rest of the movies have to be better than Iron Man ?" Rarity said as she put her phone up into her purse blowing a strand of hair out of her face Rainbow said "Pfft yeah right I bet that the Avengers one is gonna blow when we get to it."
"And if it doesn't darling ?"
"I'll add onto Pinkies bet if I lose both of them I'll even let you dress me up all 'pretty' for my date with James." Rainbow said waving her hand flippantly in the air smirking Rarity held out her hand while saying "Well than you better shake on it and if i lose this bet I'll let you dress me for my next date."
"Ha you have a deal Rarity !" Rainbow exclaimed clapping Rarity's hand the other mares gave each other looks before letting out a sigh after they let go of each others hands Rainbow said "Such an easy win on my part TWO whole bets I'm gonna win this is probably the best weekend EVER !"
Ignoring the mare they began to walk further into the shopping district looking through each of the shops for........dresses that wouldn't catch to much attention from the so called date that was happening later. As the time continued on and the mares gathered the supplies that they needed for tonight Twilight looked at her watch noticing that it was almost 5 o'clock she let out a small sigh before saying "Ok girls we have to head back for the..........date so lets get this over with."
(hour and half later James house)
Looking down at her phone Scootaloo noticed it was almost time to call her mothers taking a deep breath she said "James I'm gonna go call Momma Rarity." Looking up from the food that he was cooking James gave her a nod before turning back to the French toast walking back to the bedroom that she and the crusaders were sleeping. Pushing the door closed Scootaloo saw both of her friends waiting for her speaking up Applebloom said "So I guess its time to make the call ?"
"Yeah AB I figured a little earlier would be better than later."
"I figured." Applebloom said scooting over so she could sit between her and Sweetie taking the spot she took a couple of deep breaths before she hit Rarity's name and the phone began to ring after a couple of rings she heard Rarity pick up "Hello Scoots is something wrong ?"
"Y-y-yeah Momma Rarity w-w-when are you c-c-c-coming home I m-m-miss you." Scootaloo said with a few sniffles after a little bit she heard Rarity talking to her other mothers after a little bit Rarity got back onto the line she said "Ok honey....it'll have to be another day though because of the train schedule."
"O-o-ok please hurry Momma Rarity.....I love you."
"Oh I love you to honey please give my love to Sweetie and Applebloom." Rarity said before hanging up the phone looking up at her friend Scootaloo wipe away some tears before saying "I really hate having to do this,"
"Yeah I agree.....I just want mah sister to find love." Applebloom said bringing Scootaloo into a hug which Sweetie Belle joined in while saying "Maybe we could help them find someone."
"Maybe we can find someone Sweetie." Applebloom said letting go a her friends she wanted to keep talking to her friends but then they heard James calling from the living room "Alright girls Avengers is ready to go and the foods ready !"
"Ok James we'll be right there !" Sweetie called back looking back at her friends she gave a small smile while offering her hands to Scootaloo and Applebloom while saying "C'mon lets go watch the movie James seems excited to show it to us."

Hanging up the phone Rarity was about to turn to the rest of her friends to let them know that Scootaloo had called turning she noticed them looking at her with worried looks. Rarity than began to explain that Scootaloo called and the 'reason' why she had called, frowning slightly Rainbow was about to say something when their 'date' spoke up "So who's this Scootaloo ?"
"That was our daughter." Applejack quickly said trying to get Rarity to relay Scootaloos message to them turning red in the face the stallion growled "Your what !"
"How's Scootaloo doing Rarity ?" Rainbow Dash asked ignoring the stallion who had begun to foam at the mouth Rarity raised her hands and said "Sir Obsidian surely you didn't know that we have a daughter."
"NO when I asked for this date I figured your six were mares of class not a herd of whores !" Obsidian snapped back at Rarity after doing this Applejack balled up her fist her knuckles turning a bright white about to strike the stallion Twilight quickly grabbed her arm giving a sharp shake of her head. Looking down at her Applejack saw a few tears in her eyes trying to push past her Twilight whispered "Let Rarity handle this." grunting at her request the mare stopped trying to pushed past her and watched as Rarity began to verbally tear the stallion apart. The exchange lasted a little over five minutes but the stallion had gone from redder than a tomato to paler than a ghost, quickly giving an apology he turned and jogged away.
Rarity had a scowl on her face taking a deep breath she turned back to her friends seeing Pinkie trying to comfort Fluttershy who had tears streaming down her face taking a deep breath, her and the girls began to discuss what they should do next. After a few minutes of discussion they all decided to get take out from a restaurant that they had passed by during the shopping district. Making their way out to the sidewalk Applejack summoned a carriage to take them to the restaurant jumping into the carriage Pinkie said "We should get our food to go and continue watching those marvel movies."
"Ah agree Pinkie........should we text James and ask him to hold off showing the fillies anymore of those movies so we can watch together ?" Applejack asked pondering the thought Rarity pulled out her phone and began to text James while doing this the rest of the herd began discussing what to do tomorrow Fluttershy was the first to speak "Uhhh girls I know we told James he would only have to watch the fillies for two days but I think we should have an us day tomorrow and leave the day after."
"I agree with Fluttershy, I'm gonna call James and ask if that's ok." Twilight said fidgeting a little bit because she didn't want to upset James with their decision looking up she saw that Rarity had finished texting him smiling she said "Ok so I asked him what movie he stopped at with the girls and its Thor the dark worlds, I also asked if he could hold off showing anymore movies to the girls."
"What did he say Rarity ?" Pinkie asked smiling Rarity showed her the texts Pinkie than giggled turning to Twilight she gave her a wink before saying "Go ahead and give him a call Twilight when we get to the hotel."
"Sounds good Pinkie....hopefully he won't be to upset with us." Twilight said her ears swiveling against her skull and down cast look coming across her face feeling a pair of butter yellow arms wrap around her turning to Fluttershy the mare said "I wouldn't worry about him Twilight James is a good stallion, I think he'll be fine with watching the fillies for another day."
"You think so Fluttershy ?"
"Yes I do." Fluttershy answered giving Twilight a gentle nuzzle and a small kiss on the corner of her mouth, turning her head Twilight returned the gesture with the cooing of the others coming from around them.
(Back at the Hotel room)
Sitting down at the table while the other girls got dinner and the movie set up Twilight began to call after a couple of rings James picked up "Hey Twilight what's up ?"
"Hey James it's Twilight.........and you knew that."
"That I did.......so I take it the date went bad ?"
"You have no idea James, which is why I'm calling me and the girls had decided to stay one more night to cool off." Twilight said with a somber tone in her voice hearing a sigh James he said "Nah Twi I get it take the day and do whatever."
"Really James aren't you a little mad that we are taking an extra day."
"Nope."
"Nope, that's all you have to say."
"Yup, just enjoy your guys time together."
"Thanks James.......do you think when the girls and I get back could we hang out ?"
"Sure, my place or yours ?" James asked hearing the question Twilight took a deep breath and quickly began thinking of what he meant by that after a couple of minutes of silence James spoke up "Twi you okay ?"
"Oh sorry I spaced out for a sec your place sounds fun !"
"Cool so is this like the day you get back or day after ?"
"Lets say day after.......and James."
"Yeah Twilight."
"Thanks for watching the fillies and extra day for us." Twilight said meekly over the phone hearing the fox chuckle she felt her spirits rise a little bit after a few seconds James answered "It's no problem, so you enjoy those movies and have a nice night Twilight."
"Thanks James and you have a nice night also." Twilight said pulling the phone away from her ear she ended the call turning to her friends she saw a few smiles on their faces giving them a nod they all let out a small sigh. Getting up from the table Twilight made her way over to the couch and found a spot between Pinkie and Rainbow Dash taking a seat Rarity hit play on the iron man movie continuing off from where they were. After watching three more movies the mares decided to call it quits and continue the marathon in the morning making way to the bed they all piled onto the bed and began to drift off as she did Twilight felt a pair of arms wrap around her and heard Pinkie say "Tomorrow is gonna be a good."

Twilight looked at herself in the mirror judging the outfit she had chosen to wear over to James looking at the baby light lavender sundress using her magic she made a quick adjustment to her hair after finishing up she turned to leave her room. As she left her room Twilight went downstairs to find Spike to let him know that she was leaving to hang out with James for a few hours after saying her good bye Twilight went outside and began to make her way to his house. Passing through town Twilight couldn't believe how hot May was already at some point she would have to start swim suit shopping with the herd along with planning the annual trip to the rainbow lake. Taking out her phone Twilight began to look through her schedule to set a time for the herd to meet and shop/discuss the trip with them, sighing Twilight couldn't help but think about how the last three years have been for the herd as she moved through town Twilights thoughts began to focus solely on the herds future. As the thoughts began to cloud her mind like a storm she felt her mood decline thinking to herself she thought 'Who knows maybe we should just give up on the dating scene.' before she could continue she felt herself run into something soft and solid falling down she groaned "Twilight you ok ?"
"JAMES !" Twilight yelped looking up to see the fox she was going to meet today he was wearing grey shorts and a black T-shirt with a shark biting a hockey stick on it. Holding out his hand James looked a bit squeamish realizing he caused the mare to fall, taking the hand Twilight felt him pull her up onto her hooves letting go to his hand she began to pat down her dress "Wow Twi you look great."
"OH.....really ?" Twilight asked looking off to the side with a blush trying to think of something to say until she heard a gurgling sound looking back at she saw James with an embarrassed look on his face giggling she said "How about we go to Sterlings family restaurant."
"Sounds good I had to skip breakfast." James said turning around he and Twilight began to walk to the café as they walked talked about the new shop James was opening after Twilight had developed a magic to enchant his 'tattooing' tools to permanently changed the fur a different color. After a few test runs with magical clones Twilight made a few adjustments so that the tools could tattoo with the same detail he used to do in his old world. After a few minutes they reached the restaurant Twilight had begun to ask about how business was going sighing James said "Decently so far, I mean you guys magically get tattoos on your hips and shoulders so not many pony’s are interested."
"True.........but hopefully business will pick up for you." Twilight said with a small smile and a blush shaking his head James scratched his arm before saying "Luckily I've had some ponies come in two said they were part of something call the Wonderbolts."
"Really you had two Wonderbolts get tattooed at your shop !"
"Yeah I think one said her name was Spitfire she also mentioned that she would pass the word on or something." James said scratching the back of his head with a small smile looking back at Twilight she saw a smile forming on her face patting his shoulder Twilight said "If Spitfire said she'd spread the word you should be expecting more ponies to show
“ I believe that she said something about showing it off on a talk show plus the extra hundred bits she gave me as a tip was nice.”
“Wow a hundred bit tip, how much did you charger her ?”Twilight asked giving the Fox a quizzical look turning away James began to think back to when she came to after a few moments James said "About 200 bits she got something pretty big on her right arm."
"So you got three hundred bits from her, what exactly did you do ?"
"You’ll have to wait and see Twilight I think her and her friend are gonna show it off in he talk show.” James said giving Twilight a snarky smile growling at him she gave the fox a small swat on the arm laughing at her James noticed they had reached the small restaurant once they were near the door James quickly opened the door for Twilight letting her walk in first. After making his way inside James saw Twilight already asking for a booth making his way up to them James said "So Twilight could I ask you something ?"
"Sure lets get seated for first." Twilight said nodding James began to follow the host to their booth after being seated and handed the menus flipping it open James began to look through it but quickly put it down to ask Twilight his question "So Twilight I've noticed that there are a lot more mares than stallion like this town I mostly mares except for like four guys not counting me."
"Oh yeah the ratio for colts and fillies being born has been 6-1 for about a hundred thousand years."
"Ahhhh ok that's a pretty big gap."
"Compared to your world yeah." Twilight said looking to her right she noticed a mare and stallion enjoying what looked to be a date, noticing this James followed her gaze seeing the date she was looking at. James thought about another question turning to Twilight he said "So Twilight how do stallions choose mares to date ?"
"Well it depends on the stallion but mostly depends on the body structure and the coloration of the mares."
"I get body structure cause some guys prefer........certain things, but coloration ?"
" Yeah coloration choice is basically the brighter her colors the better chance she has finding a coltfriend." Twilight said her ears pinning back James realized that he brought something up that he shouldn't have coughing into his hand he said "So Twilight do you have any family ?"
"Oh yeah my BBBFF is a captain of the crystal guard, my mom is a lawyer, and my dad is a famous author."
"Wow sounds like your family does a lot." James said with a small smile leaning on one of her hands Twilight had a small smile on her face, looking James over she asked "So can I ask about your family ?"
"I don't mind you asking me, my sister is actually trying to open a bar with her husband, my dad runs a decently sized company, and my mom is an accountant for said company."
"Wow so your dad runs an entire company ?"
"Yup."
"So are you rich ?"
"Kinda but the thing you have to know about my dad is that he and my mom raised us to be good kids we live in a three bedroom two bath house that was a little larger than the house I live in now."
"Really ?"
"Yup my dad had us concentrate on school and being good little monsters instead of spoiled brats.”
“That’s good to hear what kinda education do you and your sister have than ?”
“ Public school BUT my sister literally went to the best business school in our country and is using her degrees to open a bar shoulda seen her professors face when she said that in her graduation speech.”
"What about you ?"
"I mostly concentrated on art and took lessons from my sis about running a business ."
"So tell me how you got into tattooing ?" Twilight ask chuckling James was about to explain how he ended up in the profession when the waiter arrived asking what they wanted to drink, after giving their respective orders James turned back to Twilight "A friend of my dads who used to watch me when I was a kid."
"Wow so when did he start teaching you ?"
"Hmmmm I graduated from art school at 20 so eight years ago."
"Wow so you've been doing this for eight years ?"
"No I didn't start doing it by myself professionally until I was about 24."
"But some of the pictures you've shown me from your old world are amazing."
"Yeah I guess, I just got lucky and could draw that good." James said shrugging his shoulders Twilight began to laugh at how nonchalantly he said that it wasn't a brag or him gloating he was just talking to Twilight, walking up to the table the waiter placed their drinks in front of them after doing that the two placed their food orders. After he had placed his order James adjusted his seating position a bit before asking "So what about you Twilight I heard your the private student of Princess Celestia."
"Yeah it was when I turned 8 years old my parents took me to an orientation class for her school and after a little mishap I caught her attention."
"Wait how exactly did you catch her attention ?"
"Uh my magic went hay wire and I turned the examiners into potted plants and blew the roof off the testing area." Twilight said while blushing her ears were splayed backwards pinning to her head James giggled how cut she look ed ignoring him Twilight continued "Then I ran from the hall and ended up teleporting into the throne room, I was there for a little over an hour before she found me and calmed me down afterwards she told me I made it into her school but due to my magic power I would have to live in the castle and train under her."
"Wait were you taken from your family ?"
"WHAT NO Princess Celestia wouldn't do that she let me go home when ever I wanted, plus she even joined our family on multiple occasions."
"So she's like a second mother to you ?" James asked only to get a small nod from Twilight chuckling at the cuteness she was displaying in front of him before they could continue the conversation the waiter approached again with their food. Once they had the food in front of them both thanked the waiter than began to eat after a while of eating James thought back what happened yesterday when the main six showed up to pick up the crusaders looking at Twilight James asked "So Twilight what's up with Rainbow and Applejack ?"
"What do you mean ?"
"Well after you guys came to pick up the crusaders Rainbow seemed to be a little upset about something but than when they mentioned how much fun they had and wanting to stay with me again her mood got worse and Applejack had a cross look."
"Oh well Rainbow lost an earlier bet and now Rarity gets to dress her for the next date we go on."
"Wait so was there another bet between you guys ?"
"Yeah but that one we kinda have to keep between us." Twilight said looking down to the side nodding at this James turned the conversation to a different question. After lunch both of them spent the day walking around the town enjoying the day with each other after a few hours they both said good bye and went there separate ways, making her way home Twilight had a little skip in her. Opening her door to the house Twilight made her way in after a few steps into the house Twilight noticed how dark it was until a voice spoke up “So Twili did you enjoy your date ?” jumping a little she turned to the voice to see Pinkie sitting a leather chair with Opal on her lap growing Twilighht said “Pinkie how many times have I told you not to break into my house !”
“849 times counting this one but you didn’t answer my question.”
“84— wait what date !” Twilight exclaimed finally realizing what she had asked earlier before she could continue Pinkie said “Please you dressed SUPER nice you took him to lunch and the way he was looking at you the entire time, it was a date.”
“Pinkie it wasn’t a date and did you spy on use ?”
“Yup, and it totally was.”
“No it wasn’t we were hanging out as friend and even if it was he wouldn’t want to date someone as plain and ugly as me.” Twilight said her mood deflating realizing her mistake she got up and gave the mare a hug while whispering “Twi don’t say that your one of the prettiest and funnest mares I know inside and out.”
“Thanks Pinkie that means a lot, and Pinkie ?”
“Yeah Twilight ?”
“Why are you naked ?” Twilight asked looking down at the naked back and bare bottom of the baker sighing Pinkie patted Twilights back while saying “Don’t worry bout it.”
(7:40 p.m. James house)
Sitting down to watch some horror movies James popped the cap of a beer, leaning back he looked between the three choices he had IT(2017), Alien (1979), or A quiet place (2017). The sound of rain hitting the roof of his house James let out a sigh, his decision was at an impasse he wanted to watch all three but couldn’t decide which to start with all taking a breath he thought ‘ I might have to resort to the old dart board to choose.’ getting up to grab the board James placed his beer on the table. Before he could get to the room which he had everything somebody had started knocking in the door, stopping James turned to the door walking up to it pondering who it could be after a moment they spoke “James it’s Applejack can we talk ?”
“Yeah.” James called back opening the door he was greeted the the orange mare looking her over she was wearing a red/black plaid shirt and worn denim jeans sitting atop her head was the signature stentson. The mare was soaked from head to toe from the rain, moving out of the way to let her into his house. Turning around James saw Applejack staring at his tv, walk-in past her he made his way to the restroom to grab a towel so she could dry off. After Applejack finished drying herself off she turned toward him a serious look forming on her face thinking he had done something to offend her James was about to apologize when Applejack said “ Ah was wrong about you James.”
“Thanks Applejack........so you want to join me for a beer, unless you want to brave that storm?” James asked as he went into the kitchen to grab some junk food pondering the thought Applejack replied “Sounds good ah don’t think the rain is goin anywhere soon.”
Returning with her beer James began to explain some of the horror movies of his world, after finishing his explanation Applejack smirked at him and told James that her and Pinkie were big into watching horror movies. Asking if they could watch Alien James picked up the remote and hit play, forty minutes into the movie they heard the sound of rain hitting the roof intensinfy. Groaning a bit Applejack muttered something her breath turning to her James said “ Just take my room for tonight.”
“You sure James ah don’t—“
“Applejack it’s all good just take the room.” James said as he directed his attention back to the movie looking at the fox Applejack couldn’t help but chuckle at him. After finishing Alien they moved onto another, than another after a couple more movies with out realizing Applejack fell asleep during fourth movie. Looking at her James let out a small chuckle carefully picking her up James walked her to his bed, gently placing her in the bed and tucking her in Kames noticed that her Stetson was still in her head taking it off her head and placing it in the night stand he went to leave the room when she tiredly mumbled “Night daddy.”
Chuckling a bit James walked out of the room and made his way back to the couch turning off the T.V James got comfortable on the couch, after a few minutes James felt himself fall asleep.
( the next morning)
As James began to wake from his sleep the first thing he noticed was the smell of pancakes and bacon in the air, groaning a bit he swung his legs off the side of the coach and stood up. Turning around he saw Applejack in the kitchen preparing breakfast, looking over to the table he noticed a few pancakes already set out along with two plates and glasses. Turning back to the kitchen James made his way over the fridge and pulled out some milk, turning to Applejack he asked “ Do you want me to grab anything for you ?”
“Ah’ll take some of that milk if you don’t mind.”
Nodding his head James made his way over to the table and poured some milk into both glasses, looking back to the pancakes he took a quick whiff before saying “Man Applejack these smell amazing.”
Puffing our her chest Applejack boasted “Course they smell amazin these here pancakes are made with a family recipe past through the generations.”
“Cool can’t wait to try them.”
Bringing the last of the pancakes to the table Applejack took a seat while saying “You’ll love’m ah used mah great great great great granpappies recipes.”
“Wow that’s a lot of greats.” James said with a chuckle she began to eat the pancakes, taking a bite out one of the pancakes James mouth was light up with the taste from the pancakes, looking down at the golden discs James swapping the food in his mouth he went slack jawed. Chuckling at his expression Applejack began to eat her own stack, after a minut or so of slack jawed staring James snapped out of his stupor and started to shovel the pancakes into his maw. After finishing breakfast Applejack looked over at the stove to see the time 9:23 a.m. gasping she exclaimed “ Ah got to get going !”
“You late for work?” James asked as he tossed a towel over his house giving him a quick nod, James motioned for Applejack to follow him as she did they both went into a dark room filled with some junk. As she walked past him James turned and flipped a switch turning the lights on, sitting in front of her was a strange looking black carriage. Tapping her on the shoulder James told her to hop in walking to the other side she opens the door and got in with James getting in on the other side. Reaching up James flipped down the visor letting a pair of keys fall into his hands, reaching forward James inserted the key into the ignition turning the key he started the truck jumping Applejack looked panicked chuckling James said “What you never been in a truck ?”
“A truk?”
“Yup that’s what this is a truck.”
“But what is it.”
“A truck is a type of vehicle from my world.” James clarified reaching back to the visor he clicked a button on a remote looking forward Applejack saw the wall move up chuckling James said “ Yeah that was a door, so any questions.”
“So what kinda truck is this ?”
“It’s a 2013 Toyota Tacoma I’ve had it for about four years now.”
“ So are there a lot of these back in your world?”
“Yup there are hundreds of different vehicles.”
“Wow.”
“Yup but before we go any further copy what I’m doing.” James said looking at him Applejack saw him reach for some type of strap pulling it over his shoulder than clipping it to a slot, after watching him do that she copied his movements once she finished James started moving the truck out of the garage. During the drive James and Applejack talked getting to know each other James to the best of his degree explained how agriculture was done back on world James also asked Applejack how they farmed. Chuckling Applejack told James it’s best to watch her and the family farm than raising an eyebrow at her James was about to ask what she meant, ignoring him Applejack pointed to her sign indicating they had arrived at her family’s farm. Turning right James drove the truck toward her house parking parallel to the hous both of them exited the truck, looking up at the house James saw the door open up revealing Applejacks older brother Big Mac. Smiling at the sight of his sister Mac began to walk over to the truck to greet her, heading in the opposite direction James couldn’t help but admire the scope of the family’s farm. From the looks of it the majority was an apple orchard but as James looked around her could see some other types of crops, taking a deep breath James enjoyed he fresh air and quiet until a small yellow and red blur ran into him falling to the ground James let out a yelp. Hearing something hit the ground both the Apple siblings ran over to the sound looking over they saw James on his back with Applebloom sitting on his stomach, grinning at the sight Applejack walked up pulling the filly off the fox grinning Applebloom turned to her sister and asked “ Is James gonna help us today ?”
“Nah Applebloom he—“
“I can help out Applejack it’s no problem.” James groan whil being picked up by Big Mac letting out a Cheer Applebloom began to dance around, chuckling at his sister Mac set the fox down before grabbing his sister to calm her down sighing Applejack began to walk into the orchard while saying “Fine me and Mac we’ll handle the Applebuckin you and Bloom will grab the baskets and take them to the cart.”
“Applewhating now ?” James asked while following the siblings into the orchard “C’mon what’s Applebucking ?!?”
The day finally ended and the fox was glad for it making his way up to the Apple house James saw a couple of chairs on the porch immediately taking a seat he let out a small whine feeling his muscles slowly unwind James thought ‘Everything hurts.’ hearing someone chuckle James looked to his right seeing Applejack with a. Couple drinks in her hands. Groaning James reached out and took one of the bottles quickly taking a swig of the wonderful liquid Applejack leaned against the railing of the porch. Noticing a smirk on her muzzle James placed the drink on the arm of the chair and asked “What’s with the look ?”
“Nothin Sugarcube just can’t help but notice that you’re lookin a bit sore.”
“I think every muscle in my body is aching.”
“You can hang out In the house if you want.” Applejack said pointing to the house looking following her finger James said “ I think I’ll stay out here a bit longer.....you know enjoy nature.”
“James ?”
“Yeah Applejack ?”
“You can’t move can you?”
“No I can not.” James said giving the mare a small smile, giggling at the fox Applejack sat down beside the fox. Giving her a quizzical look Applejack leaned back letting it a small ‘groan’ smiling a bit James took a sip of his drink looking out to the fields Applejack said “ James you can call me AJ if you want.”
“Really but I thou-“
“James your a friend of mine so you can call me AJ.”
“Ok....AJ you mind if I get dinner with you guys ?”
“Of course we don’t mind....hell Granny Smith and Applebloom will be excited to have ya over.”
“YOUR GONNA EAT DINNER WITH US JAMES !” Applebloom yelled turning not James and Applejack saw her head sticking out the window a bright smile laughing at her Applejack reached up ruffling her sisters hair while saying “ Of course he is.”
“Yeah Applebloom I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
(After dinner)
Driving home James felt fuller than he’s ever been the Apple family can really cook. Smiling James couldn’t help but think about how lively that house and the happiness he saw. After a few more minutes James saw his house and he pulled into the garage. Exiting the truck he made his way into the house tossing his keys onto the table James couldn’t help but notice the.....quiet. Sighing he went to his bathroom to shower and get ready grabbing some spare clothes and and extra towel James went into the bathroom, turning on the water James stripped down and got into the water. After he finished washing his body James got out of the shower and began to dry off once dry he slipped into his sleep wear. Laying down in bed James couldn’t fall asleep he found himself staring at the ceiling thinking he was in this world for almost three months four in a week, and at this moment he finally realized how alone he truly was closing his eye James thought ‘Happy birthday sis...... sorry I missed this one.’
(3 days later)
Sitting in his shop James was cleaning the armchair and watching some T.V after finishing cleaning up he sat down a the facilities computer. Pulling out a sketch book James grabbed a pen and began to sketch his eyes glued to the paper his hand flowed over the paper and a picture began to form he was about to apply finish when “Whoa James that’s so cool !” jolting up James fell from the chair and landed in his back groaning James looked over to see Applebloom watching him standing up James said “ What’s up Applebloom.”
“Not much James I just came by to ask you something ?”
“Ok what’s up ?”
“What can you tell me about love.” Applebloom asked feeling a knot form in his stomach James gave the filly a confused look walking up to her James asked “Why are you asking me ?”
“Um between you and me my sisters haven’t had the best of luck at dating.”
“Oh I didn’t know that.”
“Yeah they always get stuck with big jerks.” Applebloom said blowing a raspberry laughing at her James looked at his watched smirking he said “Ok Applebloom let’s go get lunch and I can try my best to talk about this with you.”
“Ok..... can we go to my clubhouse ?”
“Yeah no problem.”

As they walked up to the club house James had to duck down to enter the building, after finding a good spot James sat down while placing a bag with sandwich’s onto the table. Opening the bag James handed Applebloom her sandwich before taking out his own, looking at the filly he asked so “What’s the main reason for asking these questions.”
“Ok I’ve noticed that a lot of ponies in town are in or starting herds or relationships.”
“Right.”
“But why do my sisters have such a hard time?”
“I can’t really answer that Applebloom, even before I came here I was never great at he whole dating scene.”
“Really ?”
“Yup any and all dates I’ve been never turned out well.”
“How come.”
“We just never clicked I guess ?” James suggested scratching his head before taking a bit out a his sandwich looking at him Applebloom asked “What do you mean by click ?”
“Like........ok when you see Big Mac and his herd do they get along ?”
“Yeah they him and the others do.”
“Ok so clicking is basically that its when two or more people get along.”
“Really ?”
“Yeah a good example would be you and your friends.” James said pointing to the young filly tasing an eyebrow asked “What do yah mean.”
“Ok when you met your friends did you get along almost instantly.”
“Yup on the first day of school we started to hang out and became BFFs.”
“Right that’s clicking its meeting people you get along wth because of personality, hobbies and other stuff.”
“Wait so all Ah have to do if fine somepony they all get along with ?”
“Uh yeah I guess.” James said shrugging his shoulder smiling Applebloom was about to jump out of her seat when a knocking can from the door turning both of them saw Applejack standing at the door smirking she said “So ah take it you both are havin a meeting ?”
“No AJ I just wanted to hang out with James.”
“Really now, you guys want to get some desert ?” Applejack asked looking at both the filly and fox both of whom had large grins on their faces chuckling at them Applejack said “Ok c’mon let’s go.”

Opening he door for the two girls James let them out and followed, happily munching on a bag of jelly beans he looked to see Applebloom eating some peanut/chocolate bark while her sister ate a candied Apple. Chuckling to himself James threw a couple jelly beans into his mouth turning to him AJ gave the fox a small glare while saying “What’s so funny?”
“Nothing.” James said giving the mare a small shrug taking a bit out oh her Apple AJ waved it at him with a glare while saying “Ah heard that chuckle James.”
“What I just think it’s funny how much you like apples.” James said giving her a small smile giggling at them Applebloom watched the two banter trying to one up each other. After a twenty minutes the three of them found themselves in the park seeing a play set Applebloom urned and asked “Can I go play sis ?”
“Course you can Bloom me and James we’ll be on the bench watchin you.” Applejack said poiting to a where they would be sitting after giving her a nod Applebloom ran off to join the other children and have some fun. Following AJ James took a seat after her smiling at the young Apple he said “ Do today has been fun.”
“Glad to hear.....you have been kind down the last couple days.”
“........yeah just been a bit stressful.”
“Ah heard since Spitfire showed off her fancy tattoo Twilights said you’ve had ponies callin nonstop.”
“That’s part of it starting next week I’m booked all the way to the start of school.”
“Wow that’s impressive.”
“Thanks.”
“So What’s the other thing ?”
“Other thing?” James asked turning to look at AJ placing a hand on his she asked “The other thing that’s bothering you.”
“Oh that.......I’ve told you girls about my sister right ?”
“Yes.”
“Well a few days ago was her birthday and I have never missed her birthday.”
“Never ?”
“Never ever I would always call, write, email or visit her on it and she did the same for me.”
“Sound like you two were close.”
“Probably a twin thing but yeah we never left each others side always helping and pushing to better ourselves.”
“And it’s bothering you that you missed it.”
“Yeah.” James sighed feeling Applejacks hand tighten on his he gave a small squeeze back and said “But today’s been fun and I think I feel a lot better.”
“Well you know what my momma always told me and mah brother ?”
“What ?”
“That the fastest way to smile is to have a little fun.” Applejack said while standing up and stretching a bit looking down at the fox she gave him a small push and said “So that why you are IT !” after the last word she turned and ran toward the set where Applebloom was finally catching up James pushed himself off the bench and began to chase the Apple sisters through the park each taking turns at being it. After playing tag for almost two hours the three of them were tired and ready to go home, as they began to make there way home James notice Applebloom drifting up stopping down he picked her up and carried her holding tight to him she rested her head on his shoulder. After a few minutes both Applejacka and James’s saw the house walking up to it James heard soft snoring coming from Applebloom whispering to Applejack he said “Man she is Tuckered out I can walk her upstairs for you.”
“Thanks James I really need a shower.” Applejack said giving him a pat on the back reaching the Applejack informed James where Appleblooms room was taking her up James gently sat her on the bed and tucked her in making sure she was comfortable he whispered “Night Ab.”
Turning to leave the room James gently shut the door and began to walk downstairs turning the corner he Alamo’s ran into a dark purple mare with bright pink hair. Staring at her wide eyed he notice all she had on was an oversized plaid shirt that was at least three sizes to big for her,smiling James quickly introduced himself and explained why he was in the Apple house smirking at him the mare said “My name is Cheerilee I’m married to Big Macintosh and I already knew who you were.”
“Oh.”
“Yup.....I heard from Twilight that your from another dimension ?”
“That’s true.”
“Hmmm I may need your help, I’m a school teacher and we both know that’s starting in a month.”
“I didn’t actually know that.”
“Anyway the second month of school I usually have a few gust speakers come in and talk to my class.”
“Ok and you want me to come in ?”
“Yes and talk to them about yourself and your job.”
“Ahh ok I could do that what day would you need me to come in ?”
“September the 15th if you don’t mind.” Cheerilee said pushing past James a little to head up the stairs keeping by his eyes trained to the ground James turned while saying “ I can defiantly do that for you.”
“Thanks James.” Cheerilee said heading up stairs turning back around he began to leave when Applejack caught him. Seeing her carrying a change of clothes James said “I’m about to head out AJ.”
“Ok James.” She replied smirking she turned to the staircase and said “Ah heard the conversation it’s real nice what yer doin.”
“Eh I did it all the time back home figured I could do the same here.” James said backing up to the front door following him out Applejack places her clothes on the coffee table. As both the adults stepped outside James found himself staring off into the horizon watching as the sun set smiling up at him Applejack said “So I talked to mah brother and Granny.”
“Oh about what ?”
“You mostly.”
“Oh.”
“It’s nothin bad ah was just telling them about how I was gonna give you an open invitation to visit the farm whenever you felt like.”
“Really now ?”
“Yes really the girls like yah, most of tha herd likes yah and even mah family thinks yer a good stallion.”
“Yeah I remember your grandmother saying something when you had me over.”
“James.” Applejack growled know exactly what he was going with smiling a bit he turned to the mare and said “Something about-“
“James ah’m warnin you.”
“-that you should really-“
“James ah will kick your-“
“Keep you guard up.” James finished booping Applejack on the nose he hopped the porches railing and began to run away yelling “Your IT AJ !”
“Ah’m gonna get you fer that James just you wait.” Applejack yelled while rubbing her nose growling a bit she turned to head back into her house until a raspy voice spoke up “Seriously AJ ?”
Turning around she saw Rainbow Dash standing on the porch arms crossed dressed in her usual work out clothing glaring at the mare. Frowning a bit she turned back to the door and made her way inside trying to ignore the look Rainbow Dash was giving her grabbing the clithes from the table she headed to the bathroom, huffing angerly Rainbow Dash began to follow Applejack while saying “Seriously AJ do you trust that fox !”
“Ah do now Dash, he’s a good stallion.”
“Please no stallion is a good stallion.” Rainbow barked at the mare sighing AJ ignored her and pushed into her bathroom and tossed her clothes onto the sink before saying “Rainbow ah’ve been getin to know him and he is a good stallion.”
“And how do you know that, you’ve hung out with him like once !”
“Three times actually a few days ago ah had a beer at his place and we watched horror movies.” Applejack countered as she started the shower growling at that Rainbow said “Wait you had beer with him at his house !”
“Yup and ah had a good time.”
“Wait was this during that huge storm ?”
“Yes why do yah ask ?”
“Did you spend the night over there !”
“Ah did.”
“WHAT !”
“Dash it’s not a big deal.” Applejack said noticing that some steam was coming off fron the shower she began to strip taking a breath she continued “Plus I still don’t know why you are givin James a hard time.”
“Oh well let’s see one he Is a GUY, two he came from an entirely different dimension and three he has to be up to something !”
“Dash how about instead of judging him YOU try to spend a day with him and find out what he really is like instead of spyin on him !” AJ growled back poking the smaller mare in the chest, ignoring the finger on her chest Rainbow started to ogle her friend in the buff grabbing her chin AJ adjusted her gaze to be looking her in the eyes “Now tomorrow he is gonna have to spend the day hangin out at Rarity’s and YOU are gonna join him !”
“What why !” Rainbow protested smirking at her Applejack used her other hand to grab Rainbows left ass cheek pulling her close she whispers “Cause if you want anything from me and tha girls fer the next couple weeks yer gonna do this.”
“Grrrrr fine i’ll Do it.”
“Good ah’ll text Rarity and let her know yer comin over.” Applejack purred taking her hand away from her chin she began to grope Raibows right breast while saying “Now let’s get you outta these.”
“Ok AJ.” Rainbow said as she felt her body starting to tingle but before anything could be done Applejack brought the mare into a deep kiss as she began to pull the mares pant off.
(The next day)
Walking up to the courisale boutique James couldn’t help but shake a bad feeling as if helping Rarity with a project was a bad ideas........ a VERY bad ideas. Staring at the door James taook a deep breathe and pushed his way inside only to see a completely empty store, walking in he saw a bell on the counter and rang it after a moment he heard Rarity’s voice call out “One moment darling I’m the back but I will be right with you.”
“Rarity it’s James !” He yelled to her waiting a moment James was about to make his way back when a familiar feeling of vertigo took over and he found himself standing next to Rarity looking down at the mare he noticed that she was dressed semiformal compared to how she usually did looking up at him she said “James so glad you could make it.”
“It’s no problem.....so what’s with the get up ?”
“Oh this well since the store has been a bit slow the last couple days I figured I would take the time to tidy up.”
“ahh ok.......but why are you dressed like your going to a small party ?”
“These are my cleaning clothes thank you very much.”
“Rarity what I’m wearing would be considered cleaning clothes.” James said motioning to his pant splatter shoes and shorts along with the t-shirt that had a couple bleach stains on it. Looking at him over Rarity scrunched up her nose and took a deep breathe turning around she said “Well I don’t-“
“I brought a change for you.” James interrupted showing her a brown paper bag that he had in his right hand “They may be a bit big for you but the clothes I bought would be a better fit for cleaning.”
“Wait you brought a spare set ?”
“Yeah I had no idea why till now.” James said handing her the bag groaning a bit she mumbled “But what if somepony sees me.”
“I’ll put up the closed sign so no one comes in.”
“But-“
“No buts these are cleaning clothes now go change.” James stated as he began to exit the room informing Rarity’s arguments about wearing this attire. As James made his way back to the front he noticed Rainbow Dash placing a closed sign on the door, glancing over her shoulder to look at the fox walking around he counter she said “Heard yah in the back figured I’d help out.”
“So you hear to help ?” James asked leaning against the counter and folding his arms
“Yup AJ said I had to do this.”
“Ahhhh.”
“What about you ?”
“Technically I was tricked into helping her.” James said shrugging smirking at him Rainbow walked up to the counter using her wings for lift she sat down on the edge and said “I can see that.”
“So what’s got you in a good mood.”
“What do you mean ?” Rainbow growled looking up at the fox holding up his hands he said “Well you never really talk to me and even than it’s a bit......aggressive.”
“I just am ok.”
“Not gonna argue with that logic.” James said hearing a noise behind the two they both turned to see the fashionista with a irritated look on her face wearing an old faded Scooby do t-shirt that had multiple stains and some basket ball shorts her hair was tied up loosely. After a moment Rainbow fell of the counter laughing while holding her sides James chuckled a bit and said “Jeez Rarity you don’t have to look so mad.”
“James darling I am in a stained T-SHIRT that has a cartoon dog on the front ALONG WITH BASKETBALL SHORTS !”
“C’mon you know you like it.” James said walking around the corner he gave the mare a small tap on the shoulder growling at him she said “ I assure you I do not like THIS.”
“Oh why ?”
“The collar rides to high on the front.” Rarity stated pointing to her neck following her finger James noticed the tag sticking out. Pulling herself off of the ground Rainbow was wiping away a few tears from her eyes when she saw James and Rarity staring at each other Rarity had an irritated look while James was bewildered but before Rainbow could say anything James said “Rarity you put the shirt on backwards.”
After fixing her shirt Rarity began to give instructions to her helpers, Rainbow was incharge of sweeping the floor, James was in charge of moving things around in the store, while Rarity had put herself in charge of dusting. After getting their instructions they got to work Rainbow began sweeping while Rarity dusted and told James which items needed to be moved. After almost three and a half hours of work they took a broom wiping off her brow Rarity went upstairs to grab them all a drink, after she went up the stairs Rainbow and James took a seat by the window looking over to Rainbow James noticed that she didn’t appear fatigued smirking he said “Jeez Rainbow you don’t look tired.”
“Yeah this is nothing.”
“Really I’m pretty beat.” James said looking up at the fox Rainbow frowned but before she said anything her eyes roamed over the store, motioning for James to lean in she whispered into his ear “I’ve been through to many shopping sprees with Rarity to get tired.”
“That bad ?”
“Oh yeah so if you piss me off I will make Rarity take you on her next run.” Rainbow growled backing away slightly James saw how serious she was nodding his head he said “Yes ma’am.”
“Good.”
“Ok darlings I got the lemonade.” Rarity chimed walking in the room looking up both individuals got up from their spots thanking the mare while they sipped the drink going wide eye James said “Whoa this is really good stuff Rarity.”
“Really darling ?”
“Oh yeah.” James said nodding his head before taking another sip smiling at the compliment Rairty set the tray on the counter, picking up her glass she took a few sips while looking around the store nodding at the progress she said “Ok I believe that we are almost done.”
“Thank goddess Rarity.” Rainbow said crossing her arms with a small huff, smirking at her Rarity let out a small sigh saying “Well If you want you can leave.”
“Really ?”
“Yes but I figured as a reward I could cook for both you and James.”
“......your cooking.”
“Yes I am.” Rarity said with a small smile on her face she then put a hand to her mouth letting out a huff “I was gonna make one of my great grandmother’s pasta dishes.”
“W-w-which one ?”
“The chicken one with the white sauce.” Rarity purred when she heard this Rainbow jumped up and said “What else do you need me to do.”
“Well the store does need to me moped.”
“I’m on it !” Rainbow said zooming off into the store to get the cleaning supplies giggling at her actions turning to James Rarity said “You James get to help in the kitchen.”
“Alright lead the way madam.” James said giggling at him Rarity lead James upstairs to her kitchen. Once they reached the top floor James was caught off guard by how big the upstairs was giving a low whistle while muttering “Must be magic.”
The upstairs looked more like a penthouse sweet with its size following Rarity to the kitchen she showed him where she kept her supplies while he leaned on the island in the kitchen. Once her tour was over she went to exit the kitchen giving her a curious look James asked “Where are you going ?”
“To change darling I’m covered in sweat and grime so while I shower and change clothes I want you to set up for the cooking.”
“Oh ok.”
“But while I’m gone I expect you to take out a few things that are on this list.” Rarity said her horn glowing a royal blue James then saw a piece of paper with the same glow float over to him landing onto the island picking It up he began to read the list “Oh and darling don’t start cooking till I get back.”
“I promise only to get out the stuff.”
“Good boy.” Rarity said giving James a predatory grin before leaving feeling a shiver run up his spine James began to grab things from the list. Hearing someone come up behind him James turned to see Rainbow walking up to him looking around the kitchen she noticed the piece of paper and began to help gathering the dishes needed. After a few minutes the two of them had gotten all the things needed for the dinner tonight, nodding at what they’d pulled out James went to sit down at the dining table he heard Rainbow rummaging around behind him after a couple minutes she came over with a couple glasses of lemonade. Sitting down has placed both glasses on the table pushing one over to James he gave the mare a nod, both heard the shower stop placing the glass down James said “Wow Rarity takes a long shower.”
“You have no idea,” Rainbow said taking a sip she continued “but she’ll be in there for another twenty.”
“Jesus I thought my sister was bad.”
“Oh yeah you mentioned her before.”
“Yup.”
“Do.......do you have any other siblings ?”
“I do.....he was adopted by my mom.”
“Really.”
“Yeah he was a friend from school.”
“Oh.....cool.”
“So what about you ?”
“No I don’t........” Rainbow muttered while tapping her fingers on the table sipping his drink James asked “So what’s it like being a wonderbolt ?”
“How did you know about that ?”
“Scootaloo when I watch her your all she talks about.”
“Oh.......yeah I was for about a 2-3 years.”
“What happened.”
“Scootaloo.”
“What do you mean ?”
“I don’t mean anything bad ! I just wanted to be there for her I missed birthdays and story time and-“
“You were never home.”
“Yeah it sucked.”
“I get it Rainbow.”
“So......why did you ask.”
“Just curious cause I’ve met a wonderbolt.” James said giving the mare a shrug smirking at him Rainbow leaned back and said “Yeah you did give Spitfire one of this ‘tattoos’.”
“Yeah she was pretty cool after hearing about these wonderbolts I kinda want to see them .”
“I have some recordings.”
“Cool maybe I could borrow them sometime ?“
“If you want you can come over to me and Shys place to watch a couple of them.”
“You think Flutters will be fine with that ?”
“It can wait till tomorrow or the day after but I think she’ll be cool with it.”
“Ok just wanted to make sure I wasn’t stepping on any toes.”
“Nah your fine she loves when friends come over, so what about your world any cool sports ?”
“Uh yeah a couple but my favorites are football and hockey.”
“Hmmm sounds interesting.”
“Yeah I know college football starts soon but hockey doesn’t start till October.” James said finishing off his drink looking back at Rainbow he added “If you and any of the others want I could look up when the first game is and invite you over ?”
“The whole herd ?”
“Yeah it’s always more fun with others.”
“Ok that does sound like fun.” Rainbow said chewing her bottom lip she was about to say something else when Rarity made her way into the room smiling she said “Alright darlings let’s get cooking.”
Turning around James saw Rarity standing by the island In her kitchen looking over the pots and pans they had pulled out for her. Clicking her fingers multiple ingredients landed in the island smiling at them she turned to the fox, pointing a finger at him she made a come here motion getting up he made his way over to her smiling up at him she said “You are gonna help me make my great grandmothers recipe tonight.”
“Uh ok........are you sure ?”

Leaning back In his chair James let out a groan while he stared down at the plate smirking at him Rarity said “So what do you think darling ?”
Looking up at her James said “Rarity where were you when I was in college?”
“Oh you know darling saving a country and being a good big sister.”
“Where is Sweetie Belle by the way Rarity ?”
“Oh she and the other girls are staying over at Twilights tonight.”
“Ahhh ok.” James muttered giving the mare a nod smirking at him Rarity said “Yes during the summer we let them jump between our houses and spends nights together.”
“That’s pretty cool, but I’m guessing during school they stay at one location ?”
“Yes they do.” Rainbow said jumping into the conversation digging in her pocket she pulled out her phone to see the time 11:55 pm hissing at he time Rainbow said “I gotta get going.”
“Are you sure Rainbow you’ve had quite a bit to eat tonight.” Rarity said giving the mare a worried look getting up Rainbow said “I’ll be fine I promise.”
“Rainbow let me walk you home.” James Jumped in catching both mares off guard scowling a bit Rainbow was about to say something but Rarity interrupted her “You are a gentlestallion James.”
“Just trying to do what’s right, but I do owe you dinner sometime.”
“I’ll hold you to that darling,” Rarity said standing up she walked over to James leaning in she whispered “Now make sure Dashie gets home safe.”
“I will.” James said standing up he then offered his hand to Rainbow ignoring it she stood up and headed to the door. Sighing James wished Rarity a good night than followed the rainbow maned mare outside, they walked in silence for the first few minutes but once they reached the towns edge Rainbow spoke “Sorry for ignoring your hand.”
“No I get why you ignored it.”
“James could I ask you something ?”
“Sure.”
“Why are you so nice to us ?”
“What do you mean ?”
“I just mean you treat us all kindly you don’t use stupid pick up lines with us you don’t try to get into our pants !”
“Rainbow your great mares and well i was raised really well.”
“Right......what does that mean.”
“My mom always told me and my siblings that we should treat others kindly and to be the best versions of ourselves.”
“Really.”
“Yup but each time she would add ‘the reason I say this is when you do snap when you do show people your wrath.....well god help them’ and we live by that sentiment.”
“Wow your mom must be terrifying.”
“Yes she is......more so than my dad but still you never crossed either of them.”
“I can see that.”
“Hey Rainbow.”
“Yeah.”
“I think Fluttershy is pissed at you.” James said pointing to the front door of a cottage a few feet away looking up Rainbow saw a very angry Fluttershy. Gulping Rainbow walked up to her trying to think about what to say but before she could say anything Fluttershy said “Rainbow your LATE !”
“*gulp* Flutters I’m-“
“You didn’t call Dashie......I thought you weren’t gonna come home.”
“Fluttershy you know I would never ditch you like that.” Rainbow said walking up to the mare giving her a hug while whispering something to her, pulling away Fluttershy wiped away a few tears looking passed Rainbow she said “James did you walk Rainbow Dash home ?”
“Uh yeah Flutters it was no problem.” James said turning to leave he felt something grab his arm and heard a soft yet firm voice state “It’s almost 1:30 in the morning you can sleep on our couch.”
“Flutters-“
“Couch now.” Fluttershy growled giving the fox a stare that struck every primitive part of his brain that told him to run gulping he said “O-o-ok.”
“Good now follow us inside.” Fluttershy said smiling up at the fox she turned and began pulling him into her cottage along with Rainbow who gave the fox a shrug. After a few minutes of getting settled James found himself staring at the ceiling of the living room, letting out a loud yawn James felt his heavy as sleep took hold taking a few deep breaths James went intot the abyss.
(10:00am the next day)
Sitting up James rubbed his eyes while stretching once he had a bit more awareness James noticed a sweet smell in the air, standing up he began to follow the wonderful scent finally reaching the source of the smell James saw Rainbow Dash at the stove. Walking up to her James gave a small cough turning to look at him Rainbow gave the fox a nod, walking up to her James said “Hey Rainbow I’m gonna be heading out.”
“No breakfast ?”
“No I’m already late opening my-“
“Dude it’s Saturday.”
“Really ?”
“Yeah.”
“Ok well I do-“
“JAMES !” a voice yelled turning around he saw Scootaloo running up to him, colliding with him she wrapped her arms around his waist looking down at her James said “Hey Scoota What’s up ?”
“Not much James, are you joining us for breakfast ?” Scootaloo asked giving the fox a quzzical look sighing he looked behind him to see Rainbow giving him a nod. Picking up the filly he give her a smile and said “Course I will Scoots.”
“Yay and could we play today ?” Scootaloo asked frowning a bit James said “Sorry Scoots I gotta shop today BUT I’m coming over tomorrow and we can defiantly play then.”
“Really ?”
“Really really.”
Wrapping her arms around James neck Scootaloo squeezed, hearing some giggling James turned around to see Fluttershy holding an orange back pack. Putting the filly down James ruffled her mane, thanking both Rainbow and Fluttershy for letting him sleep in their house he went to shop in town. As they watched him leave Fluttershy turned to Rainbow and said “Your being nicer to James Rainbow.”
“Yeah yeah.”
“Are you giving him a chance momma Rainbow ?” Scoots asked her looking down at her daughter Rainbow kneeled down she gave her a small smile and said “Yeah I am squirt.”
“How come.”
“Well momma Applejack..........made a convincing argument and I had to agree.”
“Really ?”
“Yeah squirt now go unpack and then we can get breakfast.” Rainbow said giving her daughter a kiss on her forehead before giving her a gentle push. Running past Fluttershy Scootaloo grabbed her backpack and raced to her room, watching her go Fluttershy said “She seems to like James.”
“Yup.”
“So what did Applejack threaten to do ?”
“Nothin.”
“Rainbow.”
“UGH fine she threatens to cut me off if I don’t give him a chance.”
“Hmmmm well I’m glad your giving him a chance.” Fluttershy said giving Rainbow a peck on the cheek smiling at this Rainbow said “Yeah I couldn’t imagine not being able to sleep in the same bed with any of the herd.”
“You are a cuddler.”
“Hehe yeah.” Rainbow said smiling at her long time marefriend smirking at Rainbow Fluttershy whispered “But it IF you do....... become counter productive to making him a friend I will make sure you are on the couch for the next FOUR months.”
“Y-y-yes ma’am.”
“Good, but I know you want to be his friend.”
“Oh yeah ?”
“Yup.”
“Pray tell how you know this.”
“Cause he treats Scootaloo as if she were family and is always helping our herd.”
“Pffft that doesn’t mean I-“
“Dashie you trust him,” Fluttershy stated pulling away she went to the cabinet and began removing plates to set the table she continued “, after all you wouldn’t have invited him into our home if you didn’t.”
“Fine I’m starting to trust him.”
“Good now what recordings are you going to show him tomorrow ?”
“Just some classics.” Rainbow said finishing the last of the pancakes, smiling at her marefriend she was about to say something when the sound of pounding hooves came from behind her turning she saw her little filly running up. Taking a seat at the table Scootaloo waited patiently for her breakfast to be served, once that was done Fluttershy and Rainbow got their own food and sat down to eat. After a few minutes of them conversing between each other until Fluttershy let out a quiet gasp turning to her Scootaloo asked “Momma Fluttershy What is it.”
“We have to start shopping for school.”
“Ahhh crap that’s right squirt starts in two weeks.” Rainbow groaned while slapping her forehead pulling out her phone she said “Ok I think we should start the day after tomorrow.”
“You sure Dashie ?” Fluttershy whispered giving the mare a concerned look, still staring at her phone Rainbow said “Yeah I’m texting Twilight now asking if she wants to join us.”
“Oooh see if momma Pinkie will come to!” Scootaloo piped up with a hopeful look on her face
“Sorry squirt Pinkie is outta town on a delivery.”
“Oh......when is she getting back ?”
“Hmmm I think she said in four days ?” Rainbow said scratching behind one of her ears smiling at that Scootaloo went back to wolfing down her pancakes. Feeling her phone go off Rainbow looked down to see that Twilight had agreed to her proposal, sending a quick reply she went back to eating.
(The next day.)
Walking up to Fluttershys cottage James had a bag of chips and some juice all in one hand, reaching the front door James gave it a couple of knocks. After a few moments the door opened to reveal Fluttershy dressed in her usual turtle neck sweater and knee length skirt, smiling up at the fox she opened the door further with a smile she said “James I’m glad you came.”
“Any chance to make more friends.”
“I’m glad you said that, I know you’ve been doing your best with us.” Fluttershy said while leading the fox into her house, making their way through she showed James the living room. Already sitting at the coffee table Rainbow and Scootaloo we’re in the middle of a card game looking up Rainbow said “Sup James we can start one of the recordings in a sec.”
“R-r-rainbow I a-already chose one.”
“Oh thanks Fluttershy.” Rainbow said giving her a smile, nodding her head Fluttershy took a seat on the couch looking up at James she patted a spot next to her. Taking the hint James sat down beside her and started to watch Raimbow and Scootaloo play there game, after about ten minutes the victor was declared pumping her fist Scootaloo said “Yes I won this one.”
“Good job squirt now let’s clean this up.”
“Ok.” Scootaloo said grabbing the cards she began to place them back into the box, standing up Rainbow grabbed a box off a bookshelf that was filled with other games bringing it over to the table she held said box out to Scootaloo. Tossing the cards into the box Scootaloo got up from her spot, grabbing the box she ran it back to its place on he bookshelf, moving over to their television Rainbow began to set up the recording. After a few moments the video was ready to play quickly running over to the couch Scootaloo took a seat by Fluttershy while Rainbow sat on Scootaloos other side, once everyone was comfortable Rainbow started the video.
(3 hours later)
“Whoa that was pretty cool.” James said as they finished the final video of the wonderbolts, looking over to Rainbow he pointed to the screen and asked “So you did shows like that ?”
“Yup at the time I thought that was the coolest I could be.” Rainbow said with a small smile but it soon faded from her face looking down at Scootaloo who had her eyes glued to the television Rainbow ran a hand through her mane while saying “Than I adopted Scootaloo and found out being a mom made me the coolest mare on Equis”
“Yeah you’re the coolest mom I’ve met Rainbow.”
“Thanks James.”
“So after watching that ,I think I should show you the some of my worlds air shows.”
“Definitely, but that’ll have to wait another day.” Rainbow said while looking at her watch she noticed the time standing up she said “Looks like it’s about six o’clock I think we should go out to eat tonight.”
“Yeah I probably-“
“James your coming along.” Rainbow said giving her a surprised look James opened his mouth to say something only for Rainbow to continue “James your coming along and that’s final.”
“Ok ?”
“Rainbow I think we should take him to Grand Spice’s restaurant.” Fluttershy suggested giving her a nod Rainbow got off the couch pulling Scootaloo along, she went off into the house to change turning to James Fluttershy said “Have you eaten anywhere in town yet James ?”
“Not yet Flutters I enjoy cooking more than going out to eat.”
“O-o-oh, Well Spice’s restaurant is really popular and she serves the best food.”
“Wait doesn’t she own the Punch Out bar ?”
“Oh no that’s actually her herd mate Berry Punch who owns that.”
“Oh........that makes way more sense.”
“Hehe I promise James you’ll like it her restaurant is very comfortable and affordable and the food is very very delicious.”
“Really now ?”
“Yes you’ll love it.” Fluttershy said smiling chuckling at her expression James got off the couch, turning he offered his hand for Fluttershy who took it. As James pulled Fluttershy off the couch he heard the sound of hoof falls behind him turning he saw Rainbow and Scootaloo in street clothes smirking at him Rainbow said “All right lets go get our grub on guys.”
(At the restaurant)
Following the hostess the four were sat down at the booth stepping to the side James let the mares slide into place first. Once they had gotten comfortable James took a seat by Scootaloo after all on the way to the establishment she had called sitting next to the fox, being handed the menus James looked through it after a couple of go throughs he whistled and said “Wow everything looks good on here.”
“Well you better hurry and choose cause we aren’t gonna wait for you.” Rainbow said looking over the top of her menu smirking at her James said “Alright then I think I’ll go for the ‘Famous Jalapeños Steak’ it sounds good.”
“What you can’t be serious, you’ll melt your face.”
“What can’t a fox enjoy some spicy food ?”
“Uhh James I agree with Rainbow it may be too spicy for you.” Fluttershy whispered giving both mares a quizzical look James shrugged his shoulders and said “Look I’ll be fine.”
“James momma Applejack and uncle Big Mac cried when they ate the steak Ms.Spice cooked.” Scootaloo said giving the fox a very worried look reaching over the fox ruffled Scootaloos mane before saying “Don’t worry It’ll be fine.”
Looking up the group noticed the waitress had come by to take the orders ,after going around the table she recited the orders then left to go and deliver them to the kitchen. Looking at the group James still saw worried expressions on their faces givin them a wink he said “Look I’ll be fine you’ll see.”

James pushed himself out of his bed while letting out a yawn, making his way to the kitchen he began to think about the last couple days. Opening up his fridge James grabbed a carton of milk and went to grab a glass when a pink blue slammed into him, landing on his back James let out a low groan while a cheery voice exclaimed “James I’m so glad your not in the hospital !!!!”
“Pinkie why would I be in the hospital ?”
“It’s just something I read in the comments.” Pinkie said still clinging to the fox as he tried to pick himself up while asking “What are you talking about ?”
“Nothing......so you wanna hang out today ?”
“What do you mean ?”
“James you haven’t even hung out with me for the last few weeks.” Pinkie pouted while puffing our her cheeks James sighed while gently pulling Pinkie off him James said “Uh.....ok let’s hang out.”
“Yay !!” Pinkie exclaimed while she jumped up and down watching her James asked “So what do you want to do today Pinkie ?”
“I want to go to the movies !” Pinkie said while placing her hands on her hips and looking off at an odd angle, pouring himself some milk James gave her a deadpanned look and said “Ok.....but let’s get breakfast first.”
“Sounds wonderful !!”
“Alright What do you want ?”
“I’ll make blueberry muffins.” Pinkie started while pushing James out of the kitchen turning his head James tried to say something only to have the pink pony cut him off saying “Now go get dressed and I’ll get the muffins ready.”
Sighing James exited the kitchen one she heard the door close Pinkie had a slight scowl while muttering “Can’t believe commenters had me worried about James for nothing.....better not happen again.”
(20 minutes later)
Sitting at the table Jame and Pinkie were enjoying the blueberry muffins and some small talk, after awhile the two began to catch up on the last few weeks and what’s they had a planned in the coming weeks. After a few minutes Pinkie and James began to clean up by the kitchen and discussing what movie they should see, by the time they finished cleaning Pinkie had talked James into taking her to see a movie called ‘Scarecrow of Stalliongard’ Pinkie has told James it was the highest acclaimed horror movie of the year. Chuckling at the mare James pulled out his phone and looked up times for the movie noticing that one was starting in an forty minutes he showed his phone to the mare, looking over the time Pinkie said “Yes if we leave now we can make it !”
“Sounds Good Pinkie,” James said taking his phone back while walking back to his room he added “So I’m gonna go change and I’ll meet you outside.”
“Okie dokie.” Pinkie said giving the fox a salute before walking outside, smirking to herself Pinkie add a small sway to her hips knowing full well James would look. Following her out James tried his best to not stare at Pinkies butt ,but failed miserably, once she was outside and the door clicked shut James shook his head and thought ‘Why did you stare you idiot, Pinkie is just a FRIEND don’t fuck this up !!!’. Going into his room James grabbed the clothes he would need for the day and got dressed, once dressed James grabbed his house keys and wallet before heading out to meet Pinkie. After his house was locked up ,James and Pinkie headed off to the movie theater as they walked side by side they continued their earlier conversation.
“So I heard your gonna be speaking at Cheerilees class soon.”
“Oh yeah she asked me to come in September 15th to talk to them.”
“That’s sounds amazing !”
“I guess back home not many people saw being a tattoo artist as an actual ‘career’ so I never got asked to speak to classes.”
“Wwwweeeeellll maybe I can help you get ready.”
“Thanks Pinkie......I’m actually pretty nervous about this.”
“Don’t you worry Pinkie will help you out !”
“So the class speaking is in two weeks, maybe we could meet up twice the fist being a week before the day and then three days.”
“Sounds like a plan.” Pinkie said grabbing James arm and holding on to him, feeling her softness James blushed looking away he noticed they were getting close to the theater clearing his throat James asked “So after spoiling you guys with my movies what can you tell me about your universes ?”
“Eh James there’s not much of a difference between our world from what I’ve seen.”
“Ahhh ok so have you guys enjoyed the marvel movies ?”
“Yuppers the herd actually just reached that infinity war movie, we planned to watch it this weekend.”
“Oh......”
“What’s up ?” Pinkie asked looking up at the fox who had a nervous look on his face, frowning a bit James coughed and said “Uh nothing it’s just that I watched it as soon as I could.”
“Annnnnd ?”
“Just uh......be prepared ok.”
“Prepared for what ?” Pinkie asked cocking her head to the side like a puppy while looking up at James coughing a bit he noticed that they had reached the theater smiling he said “Sorry spoilers lets see if this movie is any good shall we ?”
“Okay but your paying.”
“Yes ma’am.” James said giving the mare a small salute as they reached the counter giggling at the fox pinkie gave him a small swat on the arm, looking up at the clerk who was a tan earth pony with braces giving him a smile James said “Could we get two tickets for ‘Scarecrow of Stalliongard’ ?”
“Yes sir......the price is 19.50 bits.”
“Ok here yah go.” James said handing the kid his bit card taking the card he quickly ran it, after handing the card back he pointed inside and said “Ok your movie is in theater 7 on the right side.”
“Thanks.” James said nodding his head at the pony before heading inside, as they made there way into the building Pinkie asked “James could we get some snacks ?”
“Sure Pinkie.”
“Yes.” Pinkie whispered giving a small fist bump while they went over to grab snacks after forking over another sixty bits James and Pinkie walked away with a large popcorn, two medium sodas and one Hershey’s bar. Making there way into the theater James noticed how empty the theater was he looked to Pinkie who just gave him a small smirk, shaking his head James thought ‘I guess this is her Pinkie sense.’ making their way to the top row and sat down next to eahother.
(2 hours and 15 minutes later)
Exiting the theater James and Pinkie talked about the movie they watched together after awhile they began to tell each other jokes, both had wonderful ammunition that caused them to burst into laughter as they walked through town the two drew a lot of attention. After a few minutes the joking began to die down and the conversation drifted more to hobbies and interests and stuff, after awhile the two had gotten to know each other better than before once they reached Pinkie house/workplace James asked “So do you have time maybe Monday or Tuesday so we could have the meeting we talked about.”
“Hmmm I can ask for Tuesday off and we can meet up at your shop.”
“Sounds like a plan Pinkie.” James said giving the pink pony a small smile which Pinkie returned which her signature smile chuckling at her James said “Alright I’ll seeya Tuesday, have a nice night.”
“You too James sleep tight !” Pinkie called as the fox began to head back to his house giving her a small wave as he left, watching the fox leave Pinkie waited till he was out of sight before heading back into the bakery she began to hum. Once Pinkie made it upstairs she headed to the bathroom to clean herself up, after stripping down she was about to jump into the shower when she heard her phone ring walking over to her pants she pulled out the phone and looked to see that Rarity was calling her. Hitting the green pick up button she said “Hey Rarity’s What’s going on ?”
“Nothing much darling, I was just calling to ask if you’re still bringing the snacks for movie night ?”
“Yup and I’ve got the best snacks prepared for that night.”
“Yes well I think Sweetie and the girls are excited to watch this Infinty War.”
“Yup......say do you know how long we’ve know James ?”
“A few months now Pinki I think he appearded around April maybe May, why do you ask.”
“No reason it’s just I think the author forgot to say when James arrived and how long he’s been here.”
“Well....ok, so how are you today ?”
“I’m dandy , how are you and the girls Rarity ?”
“Oh we are wonderful ,tonight I figured we could try watching one of those Disneigh movies that James talked about.”
“Ooooh well I hope you enjoy it.” Pinkie said turning around she noticed that steam was starting to form, smiling she gave a quick goodbye to Rarity after hanging up she tossed he phone atop some clean clothes and jumped into the shower and began to clean herself off moving along her body she reached toward her chest reaching toward the perky mounds she said “Time jump !”
(Saturday night)
Staring at the screen the herd and cmc were shocked and slightly horrified by how infinity war had ended, looking at each other the first to speak was Applejack saying “Ok hold up they lost !?!”
“B-b-but they won e-e-everything else.....how come they lost against him !” Fluttershy whispered while covering her eyes trying not to watch the credits as they rolled past holding onto her Twilight said “Ok girls maybe the end credits will be better ?”

“WHAT FURYS DEAD !!!” Rainbow exclaimed while a shock look took place on her face looking around she grabbed her mane and asked “And what’s up with the pager ?”
“I don’t know we’ll have to ask James when we get the chance.” Rarity said standing up she brushed some crumbs off her pajamas and began to usher the cmc to their rooms while saying “But that can wait another day I think we should get these fillies to bed.”
“Raritys right , plus I’ll ask James about this Tuesday.” Pinkie said standing up while her mane, tail and coat got a little darker in color she added “While also giving him some choice words.”

Sitting on his couch James was playing the new Spider-Man game on his ps4 when a shiver ran down his spine, shuddering James looked around confused all the while his gut telling him he was a dead man. Giving one final shudder he went back to fighting the criminals of Manhattan and making sure the city was safe and sound, quickly though a thought formed in James ‘Ok so Pinkie and the herd probably finished watching infinity war......defiantly should do something for Pinkie when she comes over Tuesday.’
After a few hours James let out a yawn and looked at his phone noticing that it was ten minutes to midnight he saved his progress in the game and headed off to his room. Once he reached his room James plugged in his phone and changed into his pajamas hopping into bed James felt sleep take hold of hims instantly.
(Tuesday )
Sitting at his desk James was sketching out some ideas he had for tattoos, today was gonna be dead for some reason his Tuesday’s always were but he wasn’t gonna look a gift horse in the mouth. Hearing the front bell ring James looked up to greet the possible customer but had his tongue freeze in his mouth, standing before him was Pinkie dressed in yoga pants and a V-neck shirt that showed just enough to drive somepony crazy. James felt his mouth dry up a bittrying to think of something to say Pinkie sauntered over giving him a smile she said “So time for the meeting right ?”
“Yes.”
“By the way I’m mad at you.”
“Um about ?” James asked seeing Pinkie lean over a bit James tried his best to not look down her shirt, placing a finger under his chin and forced him to look into her eyes Pinkie said “Well me and the girls watched infinity war Saturday.”
“Oh ok.”
“And well the ending shocked us all.”
“Right......Pinkie Uh I brought-“ James was cut off by a soft pink finger against his lips and Pinkie saying “Shhhh I already at those brownies, BUT I still need to talk to you.”
“Tlk tuh meh ?”
“Yes TALK.” Pinkie said leaning in a bit James saw a fire burning in her eyes the kind that no happy person should have gulping he said “Okeh.”

“Hmm ok well now that that’s outta the way me and you can get onto the meeting !” Pinki me exclaimed excitedly to her audience giving her a blank stare James asked “That’s great Pinkie.....but why am I tied up ?”
“Because you tried to run away.”
“Pinkie I didn’t try to run when you wanted to ‘talk’.”
“Hmmm that might have been in the original chapter.”
“The what ?” James asked Pinkie cocking his eyebrow giggling she hopped over and undid his bindings while saying “It’s nothing silly so how are we gonna start this lecture school talk.”
“Uh I figured o could introduce myself.”
“Right and we could have pyrotechnics going off, while you rise up from the floor and you’d be carrying a Phoenix while dressed like a superstar iand the bird would ride on your shoulder while somepony famous announced your arrival.”
“Uh Pinkie I think that’d be a little much it’s just a class of kids.”
“Really,” Pinkie said looking at the amazingly detailed picture she had drawn on the dry erase board before continuing “I mean you said this is your first time talking to a class.”
“It is......but I mean I don’t want to accidentally catch a school on fire, Well another one.”
“Wait you’ve burnt down a school ?”
“It was an accident......Look I’ll tell you that story after this meeting.”
“Sounds great so with that idea shot down how about this, we get Ratity to make you a nice semi fancy suit and you wear it to school.”
“Ok.”
“And you of course do a normal introduction.”
“Right.”
“But the question is what are you gonna talk about.” Pinkie said walking back and forth in front of the board following her from his seat James said “Well I was just gonna talk about my job and how some of my tools work.”
“Yes but which one the human tattooing or the pony tattooing ?”
“Oh i hadn’t thought of that.”
“Alright then, I think Cheerilee is gonna give you a fair amount of time so why not cover both.”
“Hmm I could touch on human tattooing then move onto the one version.” James said smiling at him Pinkie wiped off the board and listed down what they had been discussing and this continued for hours each bouncing ideas off each other. Once the presentation was put together Pinkie took a seat next to James and let out a small groan, looking over the board they both nodded their heads looking over to James Pinkie asked “So want to run over to Grand Spices and eat some food ?”
“That’s does sound good BUT i went there with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash last week.”
“Oh yeah they told me how you ate her famous Jalepeno Steak.”
“Oh yeah it was great.”
“Is it true that you ate it and don’t have any problems ?”
“Yeah they all warmed me about it’s spiciness.”
“Wow and it dint bother you at all ?”
“Nope, is it true it made Big Mac and AJ cry ?”
“Yeah I was there and both ended up crying.”
“Damn......hmmm well how about we go to Deep seas ?”
“Oooh yes sea food sounds great and you’ll love there grill tuna !” Pinkie said getting excited but that soon passed as she realized she had forgotten her purse at home, noticing her down cast look James said “Look I can pay for dinner.”
“James you don’t-“
“It’s fine Pinkie after all I owe you for the help, at least let me talk you out to dinner.”
“Hehe ok sounds good let’s go.” Pinkie said standing up she pulled James up after her following her out the door Pinkie turned to James and said “Ok so let’s go eat our grub on !”
(Deep sea restaurant)
Walking into the establishment James noted the wall decorations cocking an eyebrow he thought ‘Ok so maybe it’s a multiverse thing to have your restaurant to look like a boat or bait shop.’ sighing he followed the hostess and Pinkie to there seats. After asking for their drinks Pinkie and James began to talk about the last week or so, James asked Pinkie about the delivery she had been on last week smiling at him she began to talk about the trip to Manehatten and what the party they had catered. After awhile the waitress had come back and given them their drinks looking to both she asked “Are you ready to place your orders ?”
“Uh yes I will take the Grilled tuna with lemon seasoning and a side of broccoli.” James said handing her the menu he also excused himself from the table after leaving Pinkie said “I want the Shrimp scampi with noodles and squash.”
“Ok I’ll get your orders,” the waitress said taking Pinkies menu looking in the direction that James had left in She whispered “Good catch Pinkie hope he isn’t a jerk.”
“He isn’t Gazer,” Pinkie said casting a quick glance at the fox who was coming back she quickly said “My sense is telling me he’s a catch.”
“Glad to hear it girl.” Gazer said before walking off passing the fox on the way she muttered “I do hope her sense isn’t wrong about him.”
Taking his seat back James gave the party pony a bewildered look only to earn a raspberry being blown at him, chuckling at her childish behavior James quickly jumped back into the conversation as the talked Pinkie thought about throwing the fox a small curve ball that’d help in her plans so she said “So do you do this often James ?”
“Do what often ?”
“You know take mare out to eat a lot ?”
“*cough* What *cough* do you *cough* mean ?” James choked being caught off by her question which she gave to him mid sip giggling she said “Well it’s just you went to Grand Spices restaurant with Rainbow and Fluttershy, and a couple weeks before that you took Twilight to lunch OH and a couple days before Grand Spices restaurant you had dinner at Raritys.”
“Look Pinkie I-“
“I’m messing with you James.”
“Oh ok.....sheesh you almost made me chock ?”
“Hehe sorry about that James.......could I ask you something ?”
“Sure Pinkie What is it ?”
“Am I attractive ?”
“What do you mean ?” James asked looking at he mare across from him seeing a couple of tears form in her eyes she mumbled “It’s just that compare to the other girls I’m a bit heavier and I’m childish along with-“
“Enough, Pinkie you are beautiful, fun and who cares about your weight I think your figure is nice.”
“R-r-really James ?”
“Yes and plus who gives a shit if your ‘childish’ i think that’s what makes you as fun as you are.” James said taking her hand into his he added “Pinkie YOU ARE FINE THE WAY YOU ARE.”
“James your making me blush.” Pinkie said in a shy whisper while looking away from the fox realizing he was still holding her hands James let go and said “Sorry for taking your hands like that.”
“It’s fine James.”
“But what brought this on ?”
“Nothing just a thought that came to mind.” Pinkie said giving the fox a small smile chuckling the two moved on from the conversation, all the while Pinkie thought ‘I hope this doesn’t make me a bad pony trying to speed up the herd dating him.’
Looking deep into the foxes green eyes Pinkie las thoughts were ‘I really can’t wait till we start dating James I really have fallen for you these last couple months and I know the herd feels the same way too.’
(Day before presentation)
“......now does anypony have any questions for me ?” James asked looking at the three mares in front of him clapping their hands Pinkie, Fluttershy and Twilight were giving the fox praise for his presentation. Today James and Pinkie had taken his presentation over to Twilghts so she could look it over, but upon arrival the two saw that she was already in the middle of tea time with Fluttershy. After explaining the reasoning behind their arrival both Twilight and Fluttershy said they’d love to hear it, so after the presentation James took a seat across from the mares and asked “So Twilight do I need to fix anything ?”
“Nothing I can think of James it’s very well done I think the colts and fillies will enjoy it .”
“Really ?”
“I-I-I agree with Twilight James I-I-it’s really good.”Fluttershy whispered looking up at the fox smiling James let out a small sigh and said “Thanks you guys I’m actually really worried about this going well.”
“You’ve got nothing to worry about James it outstanding.” Pinkie said while bounding in her seat a bit smiling at her James said “Thanks Pinkie.........I actually wish my siblings were here.”
“Oh yeah, you mentioned before that you had a sister at your welcome party.” Pinki said cocking her eyebrow a bit peeping up Fluttershy said “Rainbow also said you had an adopted brother.”
“Yup a good friend of mine that my mom adopted.”
“Could you tell us a bit more about them James ?”
“I can, let’s start with my twin sister Grace, she’s bright happy person, she enjoyed challenging herself anychance she got , hell almost everything she did came easy to her.”
“Almost ?”
“Hehehe yeah her dancing is bad it’s like a drunk penguin on stilts absolutely awful BUT one thing you should know about her was that she always dreamed about running her own bar since she was ten.”
“Wow I know you told me she was opening a bar with her husband, but she dreamed about opening a bar since she was ten.” Twilight said remembering James telling her about his sisters bar, chuckling James nodded his head and said “Yeah to this day we still don’t know where it came from.”
“Wow.....so what else could you tell us about her ?”
“Hmmm she loved football, could drink a Russian sailor under the table, enjoyed awful B-movies and met her husband by breaking out of a zoo.”
“Wait back up she met her husband breaking OUT of a zoo, shouldn’t it be breaking in ?” Twilight asked as a confused look appeared on her face giving her a small shrug James responded “Nope, our family does this thing where we either bet or dare someone to break out of zoos and stuff.”
“You didn’t steal did you ?”
“What no C’mon Twilight we would never do that !”
“Ok ok I’m sorry.......so was that hard for her ?”
“Pfffft heck no she got an easy one that time.”
“What do you mean James ?” Pinkie asked trying to hold in some laughter while Twilight and Fluttershy gave James disapproving looks gulping James scratched the back of his neck and said “During our annual trip to Disney World they had dared me to do the same with Magic Kingdom.......almost got caught three times.”
“Wait you said family thing did your parents participate ?”
“PLEASE who do you think came up with the game, hell on that very same trip my mom dared my dad to break outta Epcot.”
“So what are the rules ?” Twilight asked her face now finding a home in her hands while Fluttershy continued to give James a disapproving look seeing this he began coughing into his hand and explained “Oh all you have to do is go to the furthest part of the zoo, park or building from the entrance and make your way back to the entrance and not get caught.”
“Wow......did any of you ever get caught ?” Fluttershy asked he look slowly turning into the dreaded angry mom stink eye James felt a shiver run up his spine and said “Surprisingly no......but that was very very bad to considering we always did It whenever we could.”
“That’s really bad James, so did Pete participate ?”
“Oh yeah he praticpated, on a different trip we had a race where we had to break out of Universal Studios theme park, I got the studio half while he got Islands of Adventure.” James said a small chuckle escaping his lips as he thought back to the past experiences, after his explanation Pinkie was now laughing her flanks off while she held her sides looking at the pink mare Twilight let out a small sigh before saying “Ok how about we get back on track a bit ,so did her husband work for the zoo?”
“Yup he was the veterinarian........when she landed on him they kissed and before she ran off, and this is how he says it, she told him ‘Wow your a great kisser’ and took off.”
“Wait she lands atop of him, accidentally kisses him, then runs off so how did they even start dating ?”
“Oh right, Well apparently she dropped her phone he used the emergency contact button and called my parents.”
“Wait was he going-“
“Nope he actually asked her out and took her to dinner and they’ve been dating ever since.”
“WAIT I have to back track a bit did her husband ever partake in the dares ?” Pinkie suddenly asked giving the fox a serious look smirking at her James began to chuckle and said “Yes, everyone in the family did, for him I guess it was an initiation or something.”
“Ok, so how long did they date before marriage ?”
“Hmm they got married last year and they met when she was twenty-one so about six-seven years.”
“Wow, So what can you tell us about Pete?”
“Pete he’s my best friend in the entire universe, he’s the nicest guy you’d ever meet and has literally given the shirt off his back on multiple occasions, he was always ready to help the community and volunteer his help, but he was self conscious about his height and weight.”
“Wow, so why was he self conscious ?”
“Well he stands at 6’ 8” and weights about 278 pounds.”
“Oh wow that’s big, so when did your mom adopt him.”
“During our sixth grade I found out he was in the foster system so I told my mom about it and like two years later he became family.”
“So what did he do for a living ?”
“He works as a software designer for multiple large companies, from what he says he makes a pretty good living.”
“What else could you tell us about him ?”
“Well from the last time we talked it sounded like he was looking into starting a ice cream shop.”
“Really what was he gonna call it ?” Pinkie asked a small smirk forming on her face James noticed the look shrugging it off he answered “I believed he wanted to name it Polar Beat Pete’s ice cream.”
“Awww that’s cute.” Fluttershy said giggling at the name and cuteness, chuckling with her James said “Yeah.....before all this I was planning on designing the sign and was gonna pay for the next family trip.”
“To this disneigh world ?”
“Uh yes.......well for the tickets at least.”
“Why just for the tickets what about the hotel ?”
“Oh we don’t have to worry about that.”
“Why not ?”
“You remember when I told you guys how my dad ran a business?”
“Yes.” They all said in unison smiling James stood up and began to pace a bit and then said “Well he did it was a small business just a furniture store, BUT a decent amount of our money came from ran investment my great grandfather.”
“What did he invest in ?” Twilight asked with a small quizzical look on her face seeing the look James started chuckling before sayimg “C’mon Twilight I know you’ve researched my world a bit Twilight I know you know what the Disney company is right ?”
“Yes I do.”
“Well my great grandpa helped start the company he was a silent partner at the very beginning and we still have stock or whatever In the company.”
“Wait hold up your great grandfather helped start one of your worlds biggest companies ?”
“Pretty much.”
“Ok.......so why if you own a portion of the company do you pay to get into the parks ?”
“C’mon Twilight you know why.”
“Because your dad raised you to be upstanding citizens and not be spoiled brats.”
“Yup, so each year we switch what we pay for so next year if I draw the short straw I would have to pay for the hotel rooms and the year after that it’s back to paying for tickets.”
“Ahh ok.....so what else could you tell us about Pete.”
“Well he loved to watch tv/movies, always participated in triathlons, volunteered in the community and despite doing all those things Pete was the shyest guy you’d ever meet.”
“Really ?”
“Yeah took a lot to get him out of his shell when I first met him......but once he came out of his shell we became inseparable.” James said a smile forming on his face, turning he looked down at his watch than at the mares and said “Anyways it was nice talking about my siblings but I think I’m gonna head home and take a nap.”
“Okie dokie James you’re gonna do great tomorrow.”
“Y-y-you’ll do wonderful J-j-James.”
“James your presentation is terrific those colts and fillies will love it.” The mares each gave their praise as the fox grabbed his presentation smiling James felt his spirits rise at the praises before exiting the library James said “Thanks girls this really helped in more ways than one, I’ll uh I’ll seeya later.”
After James had left the library the mares began discussing the last week along with what they just learned about James and his family chuckling Pinkie said “As impossible as their whole escape game sounds I think it’d be cool to do.”
“Pinkemena Pie don’t you dare.” Fluttershy warned pointing a finger at the party pony giggling at the Pegasus she said “Flutters you have nothing to worry about as much as I like to have fun I wouldn’t do THAT..........plus we have magic to worry about.”
“Still I don’t want to have to bail you out of jail.......but I would like to learn a bit more about James’s worlds zoos.”
“That can be arranged Flutters maybe after his presentation you could schedule a day to talk with him about his worlds zoos......but I doubt that they’re any different than our zoos.”
“You think so Pinkie ?”
“Yup I bet that they have timberwolves, manticores and wyverns just like any other zoo here.”
“Oh my gosh maybe his worlds zoos have phoenixes and basalisks too !” Fluttershy exclaimed her eyes sparkling at the thought of learning about his world, giving her a loving smile Twilight suggested “Maybe tomorrow you text him and set up a date to meet him and discuss.”
“T-t-that’s a good I-I-IdeaTwilight,” Fluttershy saidher mood deflating a bit she looked down at her skirt he hair covering her eyes she said “, but what if I annoy him......I-i-i don’t want to annoy him.”
“Fluttershy I doubt you’d annoy him, from what we’ve learned about James so far it all points to how good of a stallion he is so just ask him and he’d most likely say yes.” Twilight said her voice holding confidence that was contagious feeling that contagion infect her system Fluttershy stood up and said “Ok tomorrow I’ll text him and ask for time to meet and talk !”
“That’s great Fluttershy......Wait isn’t it 2:40 right now ?” Pinkie asked looking up at the clock on the wall noticing the time, Fluttershy gasped as she realized school was almost done for the fillies, saying her goodbyes she raced out of the library and headed to the school. Looking at the purple librarian Pinkie gave her a gentle nudge and asked “So you’ve researched his world right ?”
“Yes.”
“Are his zoos cool ?”
“No.........they are criminally boring compared to our zoos.”
“Oh....... so do they-“
“No the most interesting thing they have is a Komodo Dragon.”
“Oh does-“
“No.” Twilight said with a stoic expression sighing Pinkie leaned back and thought ‘Hope Fluttershy doesn’t get bored......jeez I can’t believe they don’t have a single fire breathing dragon in there zoos that must be boring .’
(Presentation day)
Sitting outside of Ms. Cherilees classroom James adjusted the tie he had on again, today James was wearing a black dress shirt and pants with a sliver tie on his neck. Bouncing his leg James was beyond nervous this being his first time speaking at a school.....taking a deep breathe James held it than exhaled, after a couple of times James felt his nerves begin to calm looking to the door James leaned in a bit and heard “.....now class I’ve brought a special speaker today that has an interesting career and is still fairly new to our community, now I’m going to go get him and I will like to give give him a warm welcome.”
Leaning back James waited for Ms.Cheerilee to grab him, after a few second he heard the door handle turn looking towards it Cheerilee gave the fox a smile and motioned for him to come with her. Standing up James grabbed a brown bag that held a few items he was going to show the class, making his way into the classroom James payed he children no mind while he went to the front. Once he was at the front James pulled out a small usb and plugged it into the computer, after pulling up his presentation James turned on the projector once everything was ready he took a spot at the front of the class. Once James had his spot at the front of the class he looked it over, smirking to himself James noticed the cmc sitting together giving him thumbs up. Clapping his head together James caught the attention of a few groups James said “Hi my names James Levingston I’m 28 years old and I work as a tattoo artist.”
Immediately four hands shot up looking at the kids James looked over them, pointing to a young boy with a grey coat and black mane he said “Yes uh ?””
“My names Rumble and what’s a tattoo artist ?”
“Oh well a tattoo artist is just like any artist but are canvas’s are people.”
“What do you mean ?” a light pink girl asked with a dark lavender and white mane, smiling James turned and clicked a button on the remote in hand showing a few pictures of tattoos while saying “Well these are tattoos now the way they get done is by...........”
(After the presentation)
Sitting on a bench eating outside James had been invited by Ms.Cheerilee to have lunch, eating his peanut butter sandwich James watched as the class played taking a sip of his juice he failed to notice Ms.Cheerilee approach taking a seat next to him she said “That was very well done James.”
“Thanks but I had a bit of help from Pinkie, well actually a lot of help.”
“Really now...... did anypony else help ?”
“Yesterday both Twilight and Fluttershy helped too.”
“Oh that was nice of them,” Cheerilee said giving the fox a small smirk as a mischievous idea began to form in her head she said “Those girls do seem to have taken a shine to you.”
“I guess.”
“Hmmm really now you guess......so what are your thoughts about them ?”
“My thoughts ?” James asked looking at the mare who gave him a small nod, looking around James said “Well I think there great.”
“Just great ?”
“Well.......I mean they’re amazing women and I’ve become great friends with them over the last few months.”
“Really how often are you spending time with them ?”
“Hmmm quite often now that I think about it I usually hang out with either one or two of them every two weeks or so.”
“That’s quite a bit, do you enjoy hanging out with them ?”
“Definitely, I always look forward to spending time them.”
“You do ?”
“Yeah......can’t really think of a reason why but I just do.”
“Hmmm well I think the same goes for those girls.”
“You do ?”
“Yes after all I am their sister.”
“Oh right.......so what do they have to say about us hanging out.”
“Well as much as I would love to continue this conversation it looks like you have some clients coming over.” Cheerilee said pointing over to the playground, following her finger James saw the cmc racing over to them, once they reached the table the asked James to join them for a game of kick ball getting up he followed the cmc while saying goodbye to Cheerilee. Watching them go Cheerilee couldn’t help but chuckled under her breathe and said “Damn idiot has a crush on those girls.”
After playing a number of games with the class for nearly two hours James said his goodbyes to the class and once he grabbed his stuff he began to head home. Walking through the town James felt a his spirits rising the class loved his presentation, heck a couple of the kids said they wanted to be tattoo artist. As James walked through the twon he felt his phone vibrating pulling it out of his pocket he saw that Fluttershy was calling, hitting the receive button he said “Hey ho Fluttershy.”
“Oh.....James hello......um I w-w-would.....like to.....um talk.”
“Uh ok what would you like to talk about ?” James asked his eyebrow rising on his face, passing a few stalls he gave a small wave while Fluttershy said “Oh I w-w-would like to learn a-a-about your worlds zoos.”
“Ok I can defiantly do that, the CE app has some zoo documentaries on there.”
“Really !?!”
“Yep there are a quite a few of them.”
“Could we watch them ?”
“Uh sure......I’m actually surprised you haven’t seen them.”
“Oh uh um........ it’s just....i.......it’s uh-“
“Shy I’m just messing with you, I know you’ve been busy.”
“Ok.......could we maybe meet at your house ?”
Stopping James had to think a moment trying to remember how clean his house actually was at the moment, but his thoughts were interrupted by the yellow Pegasus apologizing “It’s ok James if you don’t want me to come over I understand, maybe we could just come over to my house I don’t want to annoy you or step on any toes.”
“It’s fine Fluttershy you can come over I just paused because I couldn’t remember whether I’ve cleaned my house.”
“Oh so am I.......bothering you.”
“Of course not, Fluttershy you know I love hanging out with you girls.”
“You do ?”
“Yeah I do.”
“Ok......well could we maybe do it next weekend ?”
“That sounds great I can defiantly do that weekend.”
“S-s-should I bring s-s-snacks ?”
“No it’s all good Fluttershy I have to do some shopping next Thursday so I’ll pick some up.” James said noticing how close to home he was, listening to Fluttershy some more he walked up to his door and said “Alright Fluttershy next Saturday just stop by around 11:00 ish.”
“Ok I will James......and thanks for doing this.”
“No problem Fluttershy, hope you enjoy the rest of your day.”
“You to James.” Fluttershy said before hanging up smiling to himself James placed the phone back into his pocket, pushing open the door he walked into his house and looked it over. Seeing a small pile of clothes, multiple open snack bags and what used to be oatmeal sitting on the coffee table frowning he said “Huh coulda sworn I cleaned this mess yesterday.”
(Second Chance:Polar rough draft)
Pete Levingston a young man who’s life has taken a turn for the worse, he recently lost his job, despite his family saying it’s not his fault he blames himself for the death of his brother and due to a paper mix up along with mistaken identity his new business is axed. But despite all that Pete’s day......nay year has gotten so much worse due to a bank robbery, but maybe his new life will be better ?
Standing in front of James’s door Fluttershy had her arm raised ready to knock on the door but didn’t, her mind was full of conflict one part feared she was being a nuisance while the other was reminding her that James didn’t see her like that. Taking a deep breath she steeled herself and was ready to knock when the door swung open revealing the fox smiling at the mare he said “Hey Fluttershy you ready for today ?”
“Yes Yes I am.”
“Ok,” James said staring at the pale yellow Pegasus infront of him today she wore a dark green collared shirt and a beige skirt, realizing he was staring James continued “C’mon in I have some snacks ready and a few documentaries queued up.”
“Really......do do I get to c-c-choose ?”
“Of course you do.” James said backing away from the door he invited the pegasus into his home, walking inside Fluttershy took note of how clean the home looked and smelled before saying “Ok........but......should I wait to pick one of the documentaries with you ?”
“You don’t have to do that Fluttershy, just pick what you want.”
“Ok.....thank you James.”
“No problem, just grab a seat and I’ll bring the snacks.” James said pointing to the sofa nodding her head Fluttershy took a seat and began to flip through the documentaries he had picked, looking over the screen she saw that he had picked a little over fifty movies for her. Feeling a smile come to her face at the kind gesture Fluttershy let out a small giggle, flipping through some of the titles she picked a movie called ‘Tour! Jacksonville Zoo’. Once she had the documentary picked Fluttershy set it so she just had hit play placing the remote down she started looking around the room.
With some thinking Fluttershy had a small realization that this was her second time in James’s house, frowning a bit she felt bad for not spending a lot of time with him but maybe she would try having lunch......tea.......maybe dinner. As her thoughts began to take off they were interrupted when James plopped down next to her with a full bowl of popcorn. Looking at her James smiled and offered her some of he popcorn smiling she took a handful and popped some into her mouth, picking the remote up she started the movie.
(Three movies later)
Finishing the third movie Fluttershys eyes were full of stars the videos had shown her a slew of different and exotic species from James’s home. All the species that she saw were amazing she loved seeing the bengal tiger, snow’ leopard, and and heck she loved all the new animals she saw. Letting out a squeal she began to jump up and down around the living room, she had so many questions about James’s world now and what other species were there. Walking around the corner James saw the pegasus dancing around chuckling he walked up to her and said “So I take it your enjoying yourself ?”
“Yes immensely James I have so many questions !”
“I’ll answer them as best as I can.”
“Ok ok are your zoos like ours where they each have there own design and species variation or are they all built the same with the exact same number species ?”
“Well each zoo is designed differently, certain zoos are larger than others but that’s due to where there location or the amount of funding they have, now for species some zoos have a wider variation of exotic species than other.”
“Really ok, so is species variation common ?”
“Eh sorta I mean most zoos will have the same species but depending on the size they may have a few more species compared to others.” James said taking a seat on the couch leaning his head back he looked up at the ceiling, sitting next to him Fluttershy asked “So the zoos they were started for conservation and study ?”
“Yeah the animals at zoos are pretty well taken care of......well in most cases.”
“What do you mean ?”
“Well professionally built and funded zoos are amazing and wonderful because they have actual compentant people running it who want to help animals but other-“
“Wait are you saying ?” Fluttershy gasped filling in the gap frowning James gave a small nod before saying “Yeah there are assholes who opened up shitty ‘zoos’ for a quick buck or for illegal activities.”
“Like what ?”
“Well somewhere in my world was a zoo that barely took care of their animals and usually sold them off for their body parts.”
“That’s horrible why would people allow it !”
“Corruption, laziness, indifference and a slew of other reasons none that are good.”
“B-b-but not all zoos are like that.......right ?”
“Of course not, a good amount took great care of their animals.”
“Oh that’s good......I wish I could visit one of them.”
“Yeah I think you’d love them, zoos are usually built to make learning about animals fun and they would have many activities for kids.”
“That sounds wonderful.”
“Yes it was, maybe if I get the time I’ll visit a zoo here.”
“Oh if you do visit one go to the Cloudsdale zoo they are wonderful I actually used to work there.”
“Really, what did you do ?”
“Oh I was a technician before I became a caretaker.”
“That’s so awesome Fluttershy !” James excitedly said sitting up suddenly letting out a small eep she look up seeing the smile James had, Fluttershy said “Thanks James, so maybe we could go one day.”
“Sounds like a plan, so what else would you like to know about my worlds zoos ?”
“Hmmm I know we keep going back to this but did disneigh have a zoo.”
“Yes, they called it Animal Kingdom It’s my favorite section of Disney World.”
“Ok, well I want to watch a video about the sea now.”
“Ok I have the perfect video for that.” James said scrolling to a video called Blue Ocean clicking play the video started, feeling something behind her Fluttershy realized James arm was behind her. Taking the chance she scooted a bit closer to him and placed her head on his shoulder, feeling the mare put her head on his shoulder James thought ‘Ok stay calm, breathe in, breath out, breathe.......is that mango ?’ realizing he was sniffing the mare James snapped his mind back to the screen. Feeling the James’s breath on her mane and his heartbeat on her arm Fluttershy began to relax, turning to the screen she watched as the camera zoomed in on some fish called a ‘Clown Fish’ giving a small giggle she continued to watch.
(Sometime later)
“Uh Flutters.” A much deeper voice spoke jerking away Fluttershy looked up to see James giving her a nervous smile his ears were pinned back, seeing her wide eyed look James quickly said “So you want to go get breakfast with me ?”
“Uh yes I would........but I need to make a quick call and change.”
“Ok I’m just gonna go.......change.” James said standing up he went to his room, after hearing the door close Fluttershy quickly pulled out her phone and dialed to call Rarity, waiting for her to pick up Fluttershy had no luck and only got her voicemail......which Pinkie had done “Hey Fluttershy don’t worry I let the girls know where you were, I also snuck in and left you a change of clothes, now when you meet us in two weeks for our biweekly get together tell me just how comfy James was......ok bye bye love yah !”
Feeling a bit shocked Fluttershy couldn’t believe the message Pinkie had left, after a few moments she had realized the beep went off quickly leaving her message Fluttershy hung up her phone. Placing her phone Fluttershy on the coffee table she got up to get some water when James walked out holding a brown bag, walking up to Fluttershy James showed her the bag saying “I found this on my bed.......I think Pinkie broke into my house to do this.”
“Oh.......she does that.”
“Ok.......but everything was locked.”
“James you’ve met Pinkie.” Fluttershy said giving the fox a small deadpanned look, thinking back James remembered all the impossible things that Pinkie can do nodding his head James said “Moving on I think this bag has your clothes in.”
“Oh yes Pinkie told me.”
“When ?”
“Oh I called Rarity’s phone and Pinkie hijacked her voicemail and told me.”
“........wow.”
“Ok I’ll go get dressed so we can get breakfast.”
“Ok, I’ll wait outside for you.” James said while holding the bag out for the mare, gingerly taking it she walked back to the bathroom. Exiting the house James took a seat on the single step before his door, pulling out his phone James noticed a few texts from Rainbow and Pinkie raising an eyebrow he unlocked his phone to read them. Clicking on Pinkies text he read ‘James for breakfast take Fluttershy to ‘Flapjacks house’ it’s her favorite place !’ smiling he sent a quick thanks to her and moved on to Rainbows message it read ‘James I need a favor from you all me when you can !’. Raising an eyebrow James quickly called Rainbow after a couple rings she picked up saying “James thank Celestia I need your help !”
“Ok Rainbow What is it you need ?”
“Look next weekend me and Shy were gonna clean out our cottage while Scootaloo was at AJ’s, but I won’t be able to help her.”
“Uh ok.....why can’t you ?”
“Rarity and her parents want me to come over next weekend something about her cousin...........it sounded important.”
“Ok ok I’ll help you out just talk to Shy about this.”
“I pinkie promise I’ll do that........I owe you one James.”
“Pfffft Rainbow your my friend so just grab a drink with me sometime.” James said hearing some noise behind him he turned to see Fluttershy exiting the house, hearing Rainbow snort she replied “You got it.......is Shy with you now ?”
“Yup.”
“Ok could you hand the phone off to her ?” Rainbow ask in a small voice looking behind him James explained some of what was going on to Fluttershy and handed her the phone. Standing up James offered his arm to Fluttershy smiling she took his arm and he led her away from the house, while Fluttershy talked to Rainbow they walked through town making there way to Flapjacks house. Hanging up the phone Fluttershy let out a small sigh and handed the phone over to James, taking it and sticking it into his pocket James asked “So are you mad at her ?”
“No no im not........I’m a bit upset but she explained what’s going on.”
“I’m glad......she sounded pretty upset about ditching you.”
“Yes well we’ve know each other since grade school.”
“Really now ?”
“Yup.”
“Sorry for asking this but when did you two........you know ?”
“Start dating,” Fluttershy asked looking up at the fox a blush coming to his face he gave a small nod giggling she continued “Since senior year of highschool we both confessed to each other and well the rest is history.”
“That’s nice......wait so when did you meet the rest ?”
“A year later when we became the elements.”
“Oh ok when did you become a ‘herd’ ?”
“About a two years later ?”
“Wow so you’ve been a herd for about five years ?”
“A little less but yes.”
“Huh ok so I know guys shouldn’t bring up age but isn’t twiligh a year younger than y’all ?”
“Uh yes me, Dash, and Applejack are a year older than her.”
“Wait so how much older is Rarity and Pinkie ?”
“Oh well there twenty six.”
“Ok so both of them are the oldest.”
“Yup.......please don’t tell them I told you this.”
“Tell them what ?” James asked with a cheshire grin giggling at him she noticed that their arms were still interlocked, blushing she was about to let go when James said “Alright we’re here.”
Looking up Fluttershy realized that they were at her favorite breakfast place, seeing the Flapjacks House sign looking up at James he said “Pinkie told me this was your favorite place.”
“Well I’ll have to thank her for telling you.”
“Yeah I already sent my thanks, so after you milady.” James said while he opened the door with a small bow, giggling a little Fluttershy walked in giving her thanks to him.
(Across the street being a creeper)
Watching the two of them walk into the restaurant a figure with a medical mask dressed in a black hoodie and sweat pants sat in the bushes with small amounts of pink fur showing, following the two with a telescope she giggled to herself and said “Good now everything’s falling into place !” seeing them laughing and having a good time together Pinkie was constructing her next steps of what to do to further her plans for the fox over the next few months.
(Next weekend)
Walking up to Fluttershys cottage James was dressed in his cleaning clothes, making his way to the door he gave it a couple knocks and waited. It only took a minute for her to open the door looking at the pegasus James noted that she was wearing a stained blue shirt and stains grey sweats she had her mane tied up in a messy ponytail. Seeing the fox a wide smile came to her face grabbing his arm she dragged him into the cottage and explained what needed to be done.
After getting his orders James immediately got to work cleaning starting with the kitchen, walking James noticed cleaning supplies already set out to be used grabbing a sponge and some counter-cleaner he began scrubbing. After an hour and a half James finished cleaning the whole kitchen, walking out he saw Fluttershy walking down the stairs with some other supplies for cleaning. Smiling at the fox she instructed him to dust the shelves while she swept, nodding his head James began working while whistling a small tune giggling at the fox Fluttershy said “So James would you like to stay here for dinner ?”
“Sounds good Shy, will Scootaloo be joking us ?”
“Yes her and Sweetie, AJ is gonna drop them off in a little bit.”
“Oh ok, so what are you cooking ?”
“Oh I was just going to do a pasta dishes.”
“Mmm sounds good,” James said turning to look at the mare seeing her looking down seeing the upset face she was making James asked “What’s up Shy ?”
“Oh um nothing.”
“You sure Shy cause you can ask me anything.”
“Well I was curious if we could watch some of those disneigh movies.”
“Hehe yes we can I’m actually surprised none of you girls have watched them.”
“Oh well Rarity is caught up with her fashion and reality shows, Twilight has been watching a lot of documentaries, Pinkie and Dash have been watching comedies, sports, and any other shows they can while AJ doesn’t really watch it except for the sports.”
“Ahhh ok well that’s not problem I don’t mind watching them.”
“Really......I feel like I’ve been bothering you with all the disneigh stuff.”
“Shy you haven’t been bothering me with it I promise......but we are gonna start with my favorite if that’s ok.”
“No that’s fine........I’m if you don’t mind me asking what’s it called ?”
“Aladdin,” James said while he placed the rag and dust cleaner away in a basket he continued he continued “But since it’s only twelve would it be alright if I run home and change.”
“That’s ok I actually had to do some shopping.”
“Alright I’ll meet you back here around ?”
“Uh I should have everything ready around five.”
“Ok I’ll seen you then.” James said walking to the door he was stopped by the bare grabbing his arm stopping he asked “What’s wrong ?”
“Oh sorry it’s nothing......just be safe going home.”
“I promise, you have fun shopping.” James said giving the mare a nod while he walked out of her cottage, once the door shut Fluttershys face lit up like the sky on the Fourth of July. Collapsing against the door she felt her heart beating against rib cage, taking some deep breaths trying to calm herself she thought ‘Ok I’m gonna get cleaned up wait for Scootaloo to get home and then we’ll go shopping.’
Standing up she headed upstairs to get ready for the day after getting her clean clothes on she heard a knock coming from her door, walking downtown the stairs she opened it up revealing two of her daughters acovered in dry mud from head to toe with AJ behind them. Sighing she told both fillies to go upstairs and shower once the two were upstairs the mare turned to Applejack and asked “So what did they try this time ?”
“Well ah actually don’t know one minute they were tryin to earn ‘farming cutie marks the next they all were mud wrestlin.”
“Ahh ok......did they at least have fun ?” Fluttershy asked while looking behind her after the shower started, hearing her herd mate chuckle she turned back to see her wiping some tears away while she said “Yeah they did, ah think Sweetie enjoyed it tha most.”
“Well thank you for bringing both fillies home.”
“It’s no problem......sorry if they made a mess, tha place looks good though.”
“Yes James helped quite a bit we actually finished an hour ago.” Fluttershy said looking behind her to look at the job she and James had done nodding her head Applejack said “Ahhh ok......so you takin mah advice and makin him dinner ?”
“Um yes I invited him over.”
“Well what you got planned tonight ?”
“Not much he was gonna show me one of his favorite disneigh movies and I was gonna cook one of my pasta dishes.”
“Sounds fun........could yah ask him tah call me tomorrow when he comes back ?”
“Yes I can AJ.” Fluttershy said giving her herdmatw a nod smiling at the mare AJ leaned down a bit and gave Fluttershy a quick peck pulling away she said “Alright darlin I’ll seeya in three days fer our get together.”
“See you then, I love you.”
“I love yah too.” AJ said giving her a hug she turned and left to head home, watching her walk off Fluttershy turned to walk into the house taking a seat on her couch and waited for her daughters to come down so they could go shopping.
(Five o’clock)
Walking up to Fluttershys house James was looking forward to having dinner with her and her daughters. Reaching the door James knocked and waited for someone to open the door, he didn’t need to wait long before the door swung open revealing the orange pegasus tomboy and the pearlwhite unicorn girl. Smiling up at the fox they quickly dragged him inside and began telling him how excited they were, chuckling at them James let the two girls drag him into the living room and sit him down on the couch.
Walking out of the kitchen Fluttershy poked her head around the corner and saw her fillies talking to James, smiling at the fun they were having Fluttershy let out a small cough catching the threes attention she said “Ok you three dinners gonna be ready in five, after we eat we can watch the movie.”
“Ok !” Both fillies said giving their mom a salute giggling at them Fluttershy went back into the kitchen, smiling at the mare James looked at the fillies and said “Hey how about we go get the table set so Shy doesn’t have to worry.”
“That’s a great idea James I’ll get the utensils while you and Scootaloo get the plates and glasses.” Sweetie said pointing to the two while she walked into the kitchen, looking at each other James shrugged and said “You want to help me get the plates ?”
“Sure.” Scootaloo replied shrugging her shoulders standing up James followed her to the dining room, once there James walked up to a cabinet and grabbed four plates handing them to Scootaloo who then set them on the table. After the plates were placed on the table Sweetie walked in holding some glasses and utensils in her hands she placed them by the plates, walking out behind her was Fluttershy who was carrying the pasta dish. Setting down the ceramic dish she removed the lid letting the steam rise up taking a deep sniff James said “Whoa Fluttershy that smells delicious.”
“Oh thanks James it’s just a little something.”
“So does everyone in the herd know how to cook.”
“No James.......Momma Twilight is bad.” Scootaloo said a dark look coming across her face, looking down at the pegasus James asked “That bad ?”
“She made me a cake once.......it ran away.”
“It ran away ?”
“James it broke a window.” Fluttershy said looking over at the mare James gave her a surprised Look opening his mouth only for Fluttershy to say “Um I’ll tell you later we should eat before it gets cold.”
“Right right sorry, so let’s eat.” James said walking over he pulled out the chairs for each of the girls, once everyone was seated James took his seat and passed the dish over to Fluttershy who served herself. After everyone was served James took a bit out of the food and let out a small hum of approval looking over to Fluttershy he said “This is insanely delicious Fluttershy.”
“Thank you James I’m glad your enjoying it.”
“No problem Fluttershy thanks for feeding me.” James said his attention going back to his food while he answered some questions from the girls, looking up at the fox Fluttershy couldn’t help but smile at James and his kindness.
(After dinner)
Finishing setting up the app James had the movie set up and ready, taking a seat on the couch beside Sweetie looking up at the fox she asked “So James is this a disneigh movie ?”
“Uh yeah Sweetie......so have you or the other cmc watched any of the Disney movies ?”
“Not yet.....the night we watched Infinity War we were but that ending.”
“Right right.......well you guys should enjoy this.” James said looking down at the girl smiling at him she was about to say something until Fluttershy and Scootaloo walked In with popcorn smiling Fluttershy said “Ok the popcorn is ready.”
“Same with the movie Shy.”
“Ok let’s hit play.” Fluttershy said about to sit on the edge her intended spot was taken by Scootaloo, looking up at her mom she smiled giving frowning Fluttershy gave her a small glare. Taking a seat by the fox Fluttershy felt a small blush come to her face, looking up at her mom Scootaloo thought ‘I did what momma Pinkie asked me......I wonder how long I’d have to wait for the surprise she mentioned.”
Watching the screen the two fillies watched the silver castle appeared with the words ‘Walt Disney’ at the bottom, after a couple seconds music started to play and a voice sang “I come from a land, from a faraway place.........”
As the opening scene played James stole a quick glance at the three girls around him seeing their entranced looks James placed arms behind the couch and relaxed, after a couple minutes he felt two heads rest on his shoulders, letting out a sigh James relaxed and felt a smile creep onto his face while he watched the merchant scene and let out a small chuckle at the jokes while he thought ‘I hope they enjoy the movie.’
Scratching his head James noticed the clock beside his bed read 9:48 am letting out a sigh James remembered that he was supposed to call AJ. Sitting up he began his usual routine to begin his day, once he had finished evrything James went to the kitchen and sat down to eat the breakfast had prepared pulling out his phone he said “Siri call AJ.”
“Calling AJ.” The phone responded and began dialing the number, after a few moments of ringing Applejack picked up and said “Hey James glad yah called.”
“No problem AJ, So what’s up ?”
“Not much James I just wanted tah ask if yah could help me and Mac Friday.”
“Hmm I could close down my shop to help you, so what needs to get done ?”
“Not much ah can explain more when yah get here, bloom and her class are gonna be gone on a field trip.”
“Right Scoota and Sweetie told me about it last night said they were going to Canterlot.”
“Yup they’re very excited for it.” Applejack chuckled hearing a voice calling for her James said “They told me they leave tomorrow.”
“Yep they leave tomorrow mornin.” Applejack informed James nodding at her comments James looked down at his calendar and asked “So before you go what time should I be up at the farm ?”
“Yah just need to arrive at the farm around 11:00 in tha mornin.”
“Alright seeya then AJ.” James said before hanging up the phone placing it back on the table James thought ‘Wonder what AJ needs help with ?’ looking at his phone James noticed that the time was 10:20 a.m. sighing he stood up and said “Alright time to get the day started.”
(12:00 p.m. Fox’s Ink House)
Waving goodbye to his most recent customer James thought ‘Another satesfied customer.’ standing up James went back to his workbench and began to cleaning the station. Once everything was picked up or thrown away he heard the bell to his shop ring, going full autopilot, he said “Welcome to Fox’s ink house, what can I do for you ?”
“Well darling me and Scootaloo thought we would take you to lunch today.” An elequent voice answered recognizing the voice James turned seeing Rarity and Scootaloo standing at the entrance. Seeing Rarity a knot formed in the foxes throat today she had decided to wear a spaghetti strap, levender sundress with a hem that ended just abover her knees gulping he thought ‘Wow.’ Quickly shaking his head James walked over to them saying “That sounds wonderful, but I can’t help but ask what brought this on ?”
“Well Scootaloo wanted to ask you something.” Rarity said placing a hand in the young fillies shoulder chuckling James leaned back in his chair and asked “And you Rarity ?”
“What ? Can’t a mare enjoy the company of her favorite fox.” Rarity asked a thin smile coming onto her face, chuckling at her James walked over to the front desk taking a seat he tried to rebuttal with “I’m the only fox you know.”
“Yes and your the cutest one I know.” Rarity said leaning forward a bit while her smile grew, feeling blood rush to his face James crossed his arms and looked to the side while asking in a childish tone “So where are we going ?”
“Momma Rarity is gonna take us to Sunflower Cafe.” Scootaloo said piping up looking between the two adults she couldn’t help but catch a bit of what was going on and thought ‘Could they like each other ?’
“Wow swanky, should I dress up ?” James asked remembering that Sunflower was a bit...... upperclass especially considering the ponies his seen coming and going.
“Darling it’ll be fine, I’ve already booked a private booth for the three of us.” Rarity said giving the fox a smirk, chuckling at her James walked up to the door and opened it for them while giving a small bow and said “Well ladies let’s get some lunch.”
Giggling at him the two mares walked out as they passed the fox Scootaloo glanced up at her Momma and when she did she saw a sparkle in her eyes that had met been there few the last couple years and thought ‘I gotta tell AB and Sweetie about this.’
(Twenty minutes later.)
Leaning back in the booth James’s was enjoying his conversation with Rarity, but he soon realized that a particular voice hadn’t spoke in awhile. Looking down at Scootaloo he noticed that she was watching the two of them, smirking James asked “So Scoota what did you want to talk about ?”
“Oh right !” Scootaloo exclaimed reaching into her hoodie she pulled out a crumpled piece of paper and handed it to James. Taking the paper he uncrumpled it to get a better look at it once read James asked “So you want to shadow me Scootaloo ?”
“Yeah I think what you do is awesome !”
“Well I guess, but my job is fairly boring.”
“But what job isn’t boring ?” Scootaloo asked giving the fox a quizzical look, sighing he nodded his head knowing she was right he asked “So why me ?”
“Well I think this’ll help me find my cutie mark.”
“Ahhh ok.” James said continuing to look over the paper, looking up at him Scootaloo gulped and wondered what he was thing taking a small breath she said “Sweetie got her’s last month and AB got her’s a month before a month you arrived, so I’m kinda hoping you can help me with finding mine.”
Nodding his head James began looking over the dates the job shadowing started on January 8 and ended Januar 12. Handing the paper over to Rarity, James already knew what days that would be best to allow scoots to shadow smiling he said “All right Scoota you can come thebest dates are the tenth and eleventh.”
“Yes !” Scootaloo said pumping her fist chuckling at her James looked to Rarity and said “All I need is for your guardians to sign off.”
“I can get those tonight darling, me and the fillies are meeting tonight after all.”
“Really is this for the upcoming trip ?”
“It is indeed me and Dashie are going on the trip and a few of them want souvenirs.”
“Makes since, so-“
“Are you ready to give your order ?” Their waiter asked suddenly appearing, looking at the table they each gave a nod James said “I’ll allow the mares to go first.”
“Why thank you darling.” Rarity said giggling looking back at the waiter she gave her and Scootaloos order, after giving his order James handed the menus back to the waiter turning back to Rarity he asked “So as I was saying, this trip is up at Canterlot correct?”
“It is darling,” Rarity said going into a bit of detail of the city, looking between the two adults Scootaloo saw both were smiling and enjoying their time together Scootaloo thought ‘They defiantly are into each other.’
(Later That night)
Peeking outside their room Scootaloo looked up and down the hall and listened for anypony hearing no noise she pulled back into the room Scootaloo hopped back into her bed. Looking at her friends who were waiting for her announcement she whispered “Fillies I have something huge to tell you guys !”
“What is it scoots we’ve got school tomorrow.” Sweetie mumbled as she leaned against Applebloom who was also having some trouble keeping her eyes open sighing Scootaloo excitedly whispered “I think Momma Rarity likes James !”
Sighing both fillies looked at each other having a silent conversation before Applebloom asked “Are yah sure ?”
“Positive AB when Momma Rarity took me to talk to James they were getting along really well.”
“So Momma Rarity gets along with a lot of people Scoots.”
“True but this was different, there were sparks !” Scootaloo said jabbing a finger into the bed, thinking about what she said Applebloom hummed and said “Well ah have noticed mah sister acting differently around him.”
“Different how ?”
“Well she’s been inviting him over quite a bit and she’s hung out with him every so often to watch sports.”
“Oh and don’t forget about that night when he had dinner with us at momma Fluttershys.” Sweetie said remembering how Fluttershy had been acting that night, smiling Scootaloo pointed to her friends and said “So I think while we’re on our trip we try to convince Momma Rarity and Rainbow to talk to the herd about asking James out .”
“How do we do that Scootaloo ?” Sweetie asked getting off Appleblooms bed and making her way back to hers humming to herself she said “We have two more days till the trip let’s form a plan till than.”
“Sounds good Scoots,” Applebloom said sliding under her blanket she yawned before saying “Let’s discuss this tomorrow.”
“Ok goodnight guys.” Scoots said laying down she felt herself slowly falling asleep her mind raced with ideas of getting her moms together with James.
(Thursday 11:00 a.m.)
Taking a sip of his coffee James let a small sigh, looking up he saw Applejack waiting at the entrance. Finding himself staring at her today she wore a dark red and blue shirt with some jean short shorts, quickly looking away James thought ‘Jesus What’s up with me lately?’ looking up Applejack finally noticed him walking up smiling she walked over while saying “Hey James Thanks fer comin.”
“It’s no trouble AJ so what am I helping you with ?” James asked as the two began walking up to AJ’s house, looking at the fox Applejack said “Nothing to big me and mac just need help with setting the barn up for next season.”
“Alright, so is it just the three of us today?”
“Nope Twilight offered her assistance so she’ll be helpin out today too.”
“So what are we doing exactly?” James asked looking at the mare smirking Applejack gave the fox a small love tap on the shoulder while saying “All we’re gonna do is clean out any junk that may be in tha barn while also finding anythin that may need repairs.”
“Makes since so when is Twilight supposed to get here ?” James asked noticing they had already reached the barn in question they pushed there way in when a voice called out “I’m already here James !”
Looking up James saw her on the second floor gulping he found himself staring at her, today she had running shorts and a purple work out shirt on today. Tearing his eyes away James looked down at his coffee thinking ‘ Stop staring dammit they are your friends !’
(Second floor)
Tossing down a box full of trash to the bottom level Twilight found herself looking down at James. Finder her eyes wondering over him she slowly began to ogle him, today he was wearing faded jeans and a tight plain grey shirt, gulping she watch as he picked up a large box filled with junk and carried it out of the barn with little effort. Gulping she watched the movement of his muscles while he worked and thought ‘I didn’t know he was that strong and muscular.’
Realizing she was staring Twilight shook her head and tried to concentrate on the work given to her by the Apples. Looking through the junk she heard some hoof steps behind her, looking over her shoulder she saw AJ walking up behind her smiling she asked “Do you need something AJ ?”
“Yeah Twi ah just need yah ask yah something.”
“Ok about what ?” Twi asked getting back to her task, hearing the mare behind her sighed before saying “Well ah got a text message from Rarity.”
“Oh ?”
“And it seems she’s bringing trying one more date......”
“Really with who ?” Twilight asked while she packed a few things into a box, hearing a small scuffle Applejack knelt beside her and whispered “She said to try and ask James.”
Smiling at this Twilight quickly looked down to make sure James wasn’t paying attention, seeing that he was busy talking with Big Mac she pulled back, turning to Applejack she whispered “What brought this on ?”
“Ah don’t know actually we were talkin last night and she just brought it up.” Applejack said standing up she went over to a small pile of objects she began to pick through them looking back to the first floor Twilight said “Hmmm I don’t see why we can’t try......but the question is what will he say.”
“True we don’t rightfully know if he’s even attracted to us.” Applejack said as she tossed a boot shaped lamp into a box marked ‘junk’, standing up Twilight walked over to her friend she gave her a hug. Trying to think of the best thing to tell her but was coming up blank till the sound of a kazoo play, letting her go Teilight pulled out her phone and read the text she just got from Pinkie ^Don’t you guys worry he defiantly thinks we’re attractive, Plus the chance to make our feeling know will be coming in a couple chapters !^
Showing the text to Applejack the farm mare simply stared at the text, looking back at the librarian Applejack said “Pinkie being pinkie.”
“Yes pinkie being pinkie.” Twilight agreed while shaking her head, putting the phone away they both went back to cleaning.
(First floor)
Picking up another box James took it out of the barn and placed it with a slowly growing stack, rolling his shoulders he went back in seeing Big Mac closing up another box. Walking up behind him James went to grab the box only to be stopped, the stallion simply pointed his chin at a different one sitting by a stable. Grabbing the box James followed the stallion outside after setting them down Big Mac suddenly spoke “So James ah gotta ask yah something.”
“Uh.....ok ?”
“What’s do yah think about mah sister and the herd ?”
“Well....that’s a really........uh,” James said being caught off guard by the question, sighing Mac said “Look ah just was curious is all.”
“No I get it random guy comes outta nowhere and starts hanging around a bachelorette herd that your sister is part of it raises some questions.”
“Eeyup.”
“But in truth I think there all wonderful woman, I mean If I knew I had a snowflakes chance in hell with them I might try.”
“Hmmmm.” Big Mac hummed looking the fox up and down he placed a hand on the James shoulder and said “James ah think yer a good stallion and yah don’t seem like the kinda fella that would take advantage of mah sister or the herd.”
“Your right about that Mac.” James said as he stared up at the stallion who could rip him in half as if he were wet tissue paper while thinking ‘I may have done some stupid shit in my days but I would never do that !’ smiling at him James asked “Is there anything else you want to tell me ?”
“But If yah ask me ah believe if yah were to ask ‘im they’d accept yah easily.”
“You think so ?”
“From What ah’ve seen, been told, and can guess they’ve taken a shine to yah.” Big Mac said turning to walk back to the main house, backing for the fox to follow James had a thought and decided to voice it “Wait so what mad yah bring this on ?”
“Oh yah know just something that’s been on mah mind for the last couple days.”
“Ok.” James said scratching his chest he continued to follow the red stallion into the house while thinking ‘Ok it’s odd but I Mac is a good stallion doubt anything weird is going on.’
(Across town)
Writing down some new ideas and complaints to share with a certain somebody, Pinkie suddenly felt a chill go down her spine looking around she muttered “Looks like the subliminal messages I asked Cheerilee and Berry to give to Mac worked.”
Picking up the paper Pinkie placed it into an envelope and tossed it out the window for delivery, flipping over on Pinkies mind began to think about what steps she would need to take everything was coming to a head and the goal was insight yet why was she so scared ?
Sighing Pinkie swung her legs off the bed and began to make her way downstairs she began thinking ‘I think I’ll bake some snacks for the group, hmm I think I’ll even bake something special for James.’
Feeling a smile spread on her face Pinkie began to skip down the stairs while humming a small tune from her foalhood.
(An hour later)
Making her way up to the farm house Pinkie carried a small basket filled with dozens of different goodies she had baked. Seeing the lights of the living room she giggled to herself thinking ‘I hope James enjoys my baking especially the special I made pastries I made for him.’
Walking up to the door Pinkie rang the bell and waited for the door to open, after a few minutes the door swung open revealing Applejck smiling at the mare she stepped to the side and allowed her access.
Making her way inside Pinkie saw that James was seating on the couch with Twilight to his right while But Mac was sitting in a armchair. Walking to the coffee table she set down the pastries and let everyone know what types there were and how many, smiling James reached forward and grabbed one of the cranberry orange filled croissants. Taking a bite James eyes bugged at how delicious the pastry was looking down at the food in his hand he said “Holy crap this taste just like my dads recipe.”
“I-is That a bad thing ?” Pinkie asked her color dulling and ears going flat against her head, quickly looking up at her James said “Nononono Pinkie I meant it in a good way, I’m sorry if I made you think that.”
“I’m glad to here that,” quickly jumping into the couch next to James she pointed to a different kind and said “I also made marshmallow, blueberry/strawberry mix and a raspberry/blackberry mix.”
“Mmmmmm they sound good.” James answered the mare looking at the three flavors she pointed out, making her way over AJ took the spot next to Pinkie grabbing a couple pastries tossing one to Twilight than Big Mac. With everyone settling down and getting comfortable the four of them began talking, each of them told stories from there childhood, where they grew up or what they each thought they’d be doing by now.
After a couple hours James pulled out his phone and looked at the time 10:40 p.m. letting out a small groan he stood, looking at the fox Mac asked “What’s up James ?”
“Oh nothing just realized it’s almost eleven so I gotta go.”
“Ah actually thing you’ll need to stick around tonight,” Big Mac said turning to Twilight and Pinkie he added “Same goes fer you two, the farms close to the forest and with the moon the way it is the timberwolve will be especially restless.”
“Ok sounds like a-“ *BZZZZZ* hearing his phone go off James stopped looking at the phone he saw someone was calling him, looking at the trio in the room he “Sorry it might be a client just need a second.”
Nodding there heads James hit the recieve button and placed the phone to his ear “Foxes Ink House this is James how can I help you today ?”
“J-j-James I-i-it’s Pete, I really need you help.”
