Chapters Equestria into Darkness - Return of Nightmare
He remembers it like one would a dream, looking back upon his previous life as some distant memory he needed to wake up from. He stirs awake and gets to his hooves, standing upon the crumbled stone, aged by a millennia, his new ethereal Mane flowing behind him with his tail doing the same, each displaying a vast star scape of a galaxy. He remembers coming here, in search of... somepony. Somepony he admired, greatly... memories returning, slowly at first, of the day’s events. The White Haired Pegasus, larger than most, headed out to the ruined castle of the two Alicorn Sisters, where SHE had been defeated and where he would find a way to bring her back.
The Memories were coming back quicker now, the transformation occurring only moments ago, how the ex-Pegasus discovered the remnants of the Dark Queen’s Armour, bowing before it and paying his respects to, in his mind, the TRUE ruler of Equestria... Only to then be seized by wisps of blue smoke, surrounding him quickly and dancing around his form. He is startled at first, but something about the Smoke felt right; and with almost a whisper the whirling smoke spoke to him, asking of his greatest desire. He did not answer but only to close his eyes and the smoke quickly shrouded the Pegasus’ form, only his silhouette, which visibly began to warp and change as a dark Aura surrounded him. The Pegasus having given into the darkness of his own volition, the smoke dissipating once the transformation was complete and reveals the now dark haired colt standing upon the crumbled stone floor. Finally opening his eyes to reveal the whites to be a Turquoise green, his irises, a deep blue and slitted pupils, like those of a snake, a deep sounding chuckle escaping his lips, fanged smile spreading over his muzzle, the Nightmare was reborn...
He takes a moment to admire his new form, powerful, dark grey wings folded and unfurled from his back easily, a silver-blue aura igniting his horn as he felt revitalised power flowing through his new host body... No... HIS body, the Pegasus had given in so completely that his and the spirit of Nightmare had merged perfectly into one. Upon this revelation, he found he now had access to HIS old memories, sifting through them until he comes across one of a Purple haired Unicorn. The mental image of the one pony that had successfully sealed him away before! It made his blood boil to see her smiling face in his mind, but calms when he looks further, a time travel spell, Interesting. A smug smile spreading over his muzzle and his horn ignites once more, getting brighter and brighter until it nearly engulfs his body completely and with a loud ‘Zap’ he was gone.
A brilliant white Flash occurs on the outskirts of Ponyville as well as a strange Vortex opening in the sky, a shadowy figure diving through before it closed and dark silhouette took flight into the night, and heading to the town hall where everypony was gathered. Silently he looked through a nearby window and surveyed the ponies inside, as well as his past self, standing in her former glory, being stood up to by that same purple Unicorn, declaring her past self’s name to be ‘Nightmare Moon’. Biding his time, he waits for all the other ponies to run in fear, now was his time to act; taking to his smoke form, he leaves a subtle message to his past self as she too takes to her ethereal form, and taking off into the Everfree forest, the Purple Unicorn and her friends in tow, heading to the Castle of the Two sisters himself and waiting there for his past self to arrive...
Nightmare moon was trying to stop the purple unicorn and the other ponies that were with her, but she remembers the request from the unknown force demanding to see her, she heads to the location, she was told to go to, she reforms from her cloud form to her physical form and shouts, "show yourself, I demand you, show yourself to your queen now!" she says demandingly, looking around to see if the pony would come out of the shadows, her guard up and ready to fight.
There was an odd atmosphere to the old ruin of a castle, it felt dark and yet... somehow familiar to the midnight black Alicorn Queen. A low resounding chuckle, echoing around her in reaction to her demands, “Ahhh... how nice to hear my old voice again, it really has been FAR too long, forgive me if I do not revel in the moment... Hm, Hm, Hm,” The voice says with yet another chuckle. Seeing that she was about to repeat her demand for him to show himself, he remembered enough about his past to know he didn’t like repeating himself for a third time, “Very well... Nightmare Moon, I shall come out of hiding...” he says, while his body materialises from the shadows, his dusky Grey coat, and flowing, Midnight Blue mane enough insight for the Dark Queen to hazard a guess of whom she was actually talking to, as the rest of the Male’s body emerges from the wall, his flowing tail also an indicator, “If you need more of a hint...” he says, a set of Translucent blue armour that mirrored hers appearing on his body, “Then maybe this shall suffice? My name is Dusk, and I am you Nightmare, what you will be two years from now in fact.”
She stared in shock but was impressed by what stood in front of her eyes, she walks a little closer to the Male Alicorn, "how could you be me in two years, what happens to me in those two years to make you travel back through time to speak with me? And WHY did you travel back through time to speak with me?" She asks with utter confusion and concern, not knowing what she had to do or what to do to prevent future events from happening, but she takes a deep breath, "well, it’s nice to see a loyal subject I suppose, and I think I like your name, Dusk" she smiled at him, pleased with this fine specimen of a stallion.
Dusk bows, before Nightmare in respect, “You’re words are too kind my Queen, But we must hurry, the reason I have travelled back in time, is to undo the events that are yet to happen, THIS very evening you shall be defeated by the very same elements of harmony that sealed you away in the moon, however, this time it is not Celestia that will do it, it will be the very band of six ponies that followed you here through the Everfree forest, for they are the physical embodiments of the six elements, you will not be able to stand against them...” Dusk says with seriousness to his tone as he explains what will happen in her future and his past, but soon a slight smirk spreads over his lips, “However... there is now a solution that you can utilise, that will make the elements useless...” Dusk says, bowing once more before her, “That solution, is to devour me my queen, devour me and absorb my magical energies, with it you will wield an evil power that not even the Elements of Harmony can possibly overthrow. “ Dusk says humbly, “But you must act quickly, as the element bearers will be arriving at the castle within the hour.”
She looks at the Alicorn in a surprise manor "eat you? Am I hearing correctly?" She shrugs and accepts "if you want me to succeed then I will eat you and I will reward you for your loyalty to me but just to be quick I will have to teleport you in my stomach" as her horn glows a flash of light happens, attempting to Teleport the male Alicorn into her stomach.
Dusk frowns at hearing this, his own horn igniting a Silver-Blue aura which cancels out Nightmare’s teleporting attempt, the Male Alicorn standing in place where he once bowed before her, a look of disappointment upon his face, “Sadly... you misinterpret my meaning, for this plan to work, you MUST devour me orally with only the use of levitation magic as an aid. Magic cannot be used as a shortcut. For if I were to be teleported into your stomach, it would not secrete the specific, magic infused acids needed to break down my body and convert it into magical energy. Put simply, your body needs to ‘go through the motions’ as it were.” Dusk explains calmly, trying not to display his disappointment in such a blatant shortcut.
She looks pissed off because she knows she has to rush, but she complies with the Alicorn’s wishes and starts devouring him head first as saliva overflows from her mouth trying to swallow him as hard as she can, having never eaten anyone as big as the Alicorn she is now, slowly working into her stomach.
Dusk has since knelt down before Nightmare, his armour evaporating to smoke, closing his eyes as he feels the warm saliva of Nightmare’s mouth, stretch widely around his muzzle and face, casting a spell upon his own horn to make it malleable like rubber, it bending back as his head is guided further into the Dark Mare’s jaws, staring down her throat as his neck and flowing mane begin to enter her mouth, having folded his wings back also as she continue making decent progress in getting him down. The experience of sliding down, his past self’s throat is... stimulating, the Pegasus he once was had dreamed that his queen would do this to him if he ever met her in real life.
The insides of the Dark Mare were everything he had imagined, a Dark, fleshy sac, moist yet warm, with soft walls massaging around him as more of his body enters. The sensations felt bizarre but also very welcoming, as if he knew this was where he belonged, this was his purpose, a slight blush appearing upon his Dark grey cheeks, his hair and mane slicken down greatly with the mucus and saliva around him and feeling a new liquid pooling beneath him too, while outside his prized, impressive wings were slowly sliding out of sight, along with the barrel of his torso, into Nightmare’s jaws, and at last his hind quarters are levitated off the ground for ease of swallowing.
She sits down, tilts her head all the way back and gulped, feeling the rest of the stations barrel go down her throat, Working down his flanks as well, her stomach growling loudly, getting ready to accept the ‘pony’ that will soon be in its acids. Nightmare smiles, knowing she will be very powerful thanks to this ‘pony’ she is devouring, she seemed aroused by the sensation of eating another Alicorn alive, but happily carried on devouring him, until the rest of him was curled up in her dark stomach, warm saliva dripping from its walls and onto Dusk's head.
Nightmare rubs her belly slowly, heartbroken that she can't have Dusk by her side, "I am sad that I can't reform you, but I have no doubt you shall make me the greatest queen to ever live!" she nuzzles her belly softly, to nuzzle the pony inside her stomach, she knows his destiny was to help her bring about eternal night forever.
A smile spread to Dusk’s face, hearing the Dark queen’s sorrowful words brings a tear to his eye and then a spark of inspiration, “There may be a way for me to be by your side, my queen. When this is all over, seek out a larger than average, White Haired, Pegasus Stallion by the name of Lightning Flash, he currently resides in Cloudsdale, he is my previous self and a great admirer of yours.” Dusk says, grunting slightly as he begins to feel the magic enhanced acids work away his body at an increasing rate, Nightmare’s stomach lets out loud ‘gurgles’ of digestion, beginning to round out and recede steadily.
"Hmmm, very well... It will probably make him smile, knowing I'm going to choose him for my personal guard, but I must destroy those ponies first!" she feels herself getting stronger and more powerful from feeling Dusk digest and turn into mush, since she can't fly, she walks to the castle instead, feeling her belly getting smaller with each step.
Dusk makes little to no sound now, aside from the audible gurgling coming from his melting, digesting body. Nightmare’s stomach, receding rapidly now as the male Alicorn is worked away and his magical essence to be absorbed, once nightmare enters the castle, she quickly changes to her smoke form and travels to the great hall where the elements are kept hidden, arriving to see Twilight arranging the elements into a circle, attacking her immediately to then stand tall between her and the elements smashing them with her hooves in triumph, believing Twilight had failed!...
Equestria into Darkness - Return of Nightmare
A great surge of energy erupted from the necklaces around her friend’s necks as well as her own tiara, a stream of rainbow coloured light arching high and then down, surrounding Nightmare Moon, whom lets out a yell of terror at her ‘supposed’ defeat. The Rainbow encircling her constantly, it doing so for several minutes... and yet, there seemed no change in Nightmare’s power, “Uh... Twilight, how long does this ’ere ‘Element of Harmony spell’ do hickey last for?” asked Apple Jack curiously, the Rainbow having ensnared Nightmare Moon for more than 5 minutes now.
The remaining five ponies looked mortified, having just witnessed their newest friend just get eaten before their eyes, “How’s about I serve you THIS!” Rainbow yells, being the first to go on the attack and dive toward Nightmare with a rear hoof kick, she aiming for it to connect right with her forehead and smash in the Dark Mare’s cranium.
“Rainbow, Noo!” Apple Jack yells out, just missing grabbing the Rainbow coloured tail of the Cyan mare, noticing too late Nightmare opening her mouth once maw, ready for Rainbow’s attack.
Nightmare has her jaws wide as the mare flies straight into her mouth with great speed, then all that is heard next is a heavy ‘gulp’ and bulge of the cyan Pegasus glides down her throat. Nightmare Moon looks at her belly with a smirk, seeing the mare slide in next to Twilight, "ha-ha, it seems she did not want to serve me, but instead wanted to join her friend, as my food, well what about the rest of you?" she walks around them as the muffled screams of both Ponies can be heard from her stomach as it, already, gets to work digesting them both.
The four remaining ponies each having different stages of fear, A.J. appears to be fairing the best out of them, trembling only slightly and nervous before the imposing Dark Queen of the Night, Rarity curled into the foetal position on the cold stone floor, wailing hysterically about being too young to be eaten and having her whole fashion career ahead of her, Fluttershy being paralyzed with fright curled up into a shivering whimpering ball, tears streaming down her eyes after witnessing two of her newest friends being eaten, and lastly Pinkie, her mane and tail deflated and crying loudly with fountains of tears coming from her eyes. This wearing thin on Nightmare’s ears considerably.
This declaration from A.J makes Rarity, and Pinkie gasp, “What... N-no...!” Fluttershy squeaks out.
“Apple Jack, you can’t! You can’t trust her!” Rarity says, pleadingly.
“Yeah... Digesting is no fun... no fun at all!” Pinkie adds.
“My mind is made up, I give mah word Nightmare, agree to let my friends go and you can eat me.” A.J. says resolutely, removing her hat from her head and tossing it to Rarity, “Rarity... make sure to give that ta Apple Bloom...”
“I will darling...” Rarity says solemnly to A.J.
Nightmare sits in front of AJ and looks at her, raising A.J’s chin to look at her cold face, "hmmm... I could accept that deal but, if you were to serve me then all of you will be unharmed and i will let you live in my new castle for the rest of your nights and I would personally see to it that no harm would befall you, but if you are sure, Apple Jack was it? I will leave, just leave the rest of your friends be, I seem to have frightened the rest to my satisfaction, plus I'm feeling a tad full, but I’m sure I have room for one more." She grins, rubbing her belly as it starts to round out, the two ponies being digested inside.
A.J has a confused look upon her face in reaction to Nightmare’s offer “Come again...?”
“Take the deal Apple Jack!!” Rarity yells out in earnest.
Sighing heavily, A.J. looks up at Rarity, “I can’t... I gave mah word... to go back on it now... well, that just wouldn’t be honest.” A.J. says, sticking to her principles.
“Apple Jack... this, is, your, LIFE! We’re talking about... surely it must mean more to you than keeping your word to a tyrannical mare as her”, Nightmare shooting Rarity a deadly glare, “I mean ah... beautiful and... fashionable, Mare...” Rarity, says chuckling nervously.
“A-ar-are you s-sure Apple Jack...” Fluttershy asks meekly, A.J. nodding a solid nod to Fluttershy confirming her fears, “Th-then... um, I-I’m going too...” She says softly.
“Wait what! No Sugarcube, I’m doin this to protect ya’ll, so it won’t mean nothing if ya’ll go vollunteerin!” A.J. exclaims and making Fluttershy flinch, all the while Nightmare watches the 4 remaining Element bearers bicker amongst themselves and the two in her stomach digest away to nothing, opening up another free spot.
“I-I know that... It’s just, y-you’re the only friends I’ve ever had, and I just couldn’t live to be without any of you.” Fluttershy says softly, this possibly being the first time she’s sure about anything.
“But... what about all ya’ll little critters Sugarcube, I’m sure they’d be mighty scared without you around to care for em.” A.J. says, placing a hoof to Fluttershy’s shoulder.
“Oh... I know, but...” Fluttershy says, looking to the imposing Nightmare Moon and shivering a little, “M-m-miss Nightmare Moon... W-would it be ok... i-if you could... m-maybe, take care... of my animal friends, i-if I were to a-allow you to... eat me? O-only if you want to of course...” Fluttershy says quietly, shrinking into herself.
“Are you both crazy?!!!” Pinkie finally blurts out, “you’re actually wanting to be eaten?! This isn’t some Vore Fan-Fic where you come back in another story, this is REAL LIFE!!” Pinkie says franticly, Rarity and A.J. both wearing confused expressions on their faces, “Well forget this! I’m not sticking around to see two more of you digested!” she says, racing back to Ponyville.
Nightmare Moon smiles and observes, the now, three ponies before her, "So, now you ALL wish to be in my stomach, wow... this is just fascinating, that you would each sacrifice yourself to save each other." she starts to laugh in amusement as she circles them again, unsure what to do with her prey, but she smiles menacingly, enjoying their bickering to one another.
The remaining trio of friends start to argue, A.J. and Fluttershy each willing to give their lives to save the others and Rarity the one who wants to take the safe way out and submit, after much deliberation between A.J. and Fluttershy, A.J constantly making sure that she wanted this, they both reach a conclusion, “Well alright... if it’s really what you want Sugarcube... Uh, miss Nightmare Moon Ma’am... me and Fluttershy have reached an understandin and agreed to let ya’ll eat us both, but with one condition... that ya’ll take care of Fluttershy’s critters, deal?” A.J. asks, Fluttershy hiding herself behind Apple Jack.
“You two... really aren’t backing down from this are you?” Rarity asks with concern in her voice, “Well, I don’t know about you two, but I have a lot of other things I’d rather be doing than getting eaten by an Evil, power hungry mare, in which case, with the alternative being what it is, I’d rather be a loyal subject than a meal, and that’s my final decision.” Rarity says, re-fixing her mane and approaching Nightmare Moon timidly, shivering slightly under the gaze of the Dark Queen, “I... am your humble servant... my queen...” Rarity says bowing before her.
“Tch... figures...” A.J. comments on Rarity’s display.
Nightmare looks to Rarity and smiles, "Excellent choice Rarity, welcome to your new life under the night, if you have anything to say to your friends then I suggest you say it now," she looks back to A.J and Fluttershy with a hunger in her eyes, "hmmm... I will have one of you and then the other, I will decide who will go first when I make up my mind," she says hungrily.
Rarity gets up from her bow, having heard A.J.’s snide remark, “I made... my choice Apple Jack. There is no shame in submitting in exchange for a chance to live.” Rarity said factually, walking to the side, of the room out of the way.
“The exchange of givin up yer freewill and freedom just so you can live longer and make yer darn Dresses, what in tarnation kind of exchange IS that Rarity? At least Rainbow and Twilight both died doin what they thought was right!” A.J. says in a harsh tone to Rarity, only to get an emotionless facial expression in return, as if she were made of stone, this only aggravating A.J. more, “Well fine then... go and be a coward.” She says stepping up to Nightmare, “Allow me to make yer decision easier, Sugarcube... I’M yer next meal...” A.J. says to Nightmare, staring her right in the face, unflinching in her resolve.
Nightmare Moon smiles intensely, "well, well... thank you for serving yourself on the hot plate Apple Jack, I think I'm going to enjoy you," she says with a sinister grin and opens her mouth wide, her saliva dripping onto Apple Jacks face, drenching her as her black mouth just wants to wrap it's self around Apple Jack’s head, to send her to her stomach.
A.J half thinks about pulling her head away, the gross feeling of Nightmare’s warm drool matting down her golden locks making her cringe, yet she holds her ground, looking up into the fleshy, cavernous mouth of the Dark Alicorn, tongue licking at her chin and neck as her head enters Nightmare’s jaws, A.J barely able to see the dark entrance to Nightmare’s throat open up to accept her into it, as the dim light of Moon is blocked out by the encroaching jaws. A.J keeping still as a tree until, finally, her muzzle and head squish into Nightmare’s Throat. The Apple mare making a distinct bulge in her neck as more of A.J. slides inside, Fluttershy shaking like a leaf before the terrifying spectacle, knowing that it would be her turn next, filled with even greater dread, and she had Volunteered for it!
Nightmare makes loud gulps as AJ starts to slide down her throat, sitting down, she tilts her head back and letting AJ go down her throat with ease, A.J’s body bulging out Nightmare’s throat licking the mares body as it goes down for a taste of here, she purrs gently, enjoying the taste with a hint of Apples, she does a final gulp, closing her jaws around A.J’s rear hooves and tail as they glide down her throat to her stomach, which is still half full with acid and remains of two skulls and the bones of Twilight and Rainbow Dash, still yet to dissolve away, "Enjoy your new home Apple Jack, while it lasts," she Chortles maniacally and then stares at Fluttershy, thinking whether to eat her or not.
Rarity’s steely gaze, unchanged from witnessing Apple Jack slide down her queens throat, it affected her very little, though she’d only properly met her that afternoon, she already didn’t care much for the Apple mare’s brash attitude toward her, and therefore could have cared less when A.J’s neck bulge disappeared into Nightmare’s stomach, But when looking to Fluttershy, and seeing the state of utter panic and terror she was in, her heart couldn’t help but melt and weep for the poor thing, “~Say it, Darling... just say it and it’ll all be over... ~” She repeats in her mind, biting her lower lip in concern.
“I... I...” Fluttershy says, sobbing still, “I agree to serve you... I just want to go home...” Fluttershy weeps, burying her head in her hooves, Rarity giving a sigh of relief and trots over to Fluttershy and bringing the poor dear into a warm embrace.
“That’s it dear... just let it all out.” She says in a consoling tone, her own eyes threatening to tear up also.
Nightmare moon shows mercy to the frightened Pegasus, "Thank you for saying that Fluttershy, you may return home and I will see to it that you remain comfortable and happy, Rarity... As your new ruler, the first task I give you, is to look after Fluttershy, I have some business I must attend to while I digest the traitor that now resides in my perfect stomach," she grins, Satisfied with how this encounter went and started walking away to find a certain white Pegasus, mentioned by the Alicorn that sacrificed himself to give her the power to defeat the elements of harmony.
Rarity Bows in respect to her new ruler’s order, “Of course your highness.” She says with a smile, “Come along, Fluttershy, and let’s get you home.” She says, looking her in the eyes with a comforting smile.
“*sniff* O-ok... thank you, Rarity.” Fluttershy says, sniffling softly as the two friends head back to Ponyville after a rather, traumatic evening...

This was the first time writing for the mane 6, I hope I did the characters justice in keeping to their show cannon personailties.
On a personal note, I surprised myself with how sad and heart felt the interaction between Fluttershy and Rarity came out. ;_;
Equestria into Darkness - Return of Nightmare
Back in Ponyville there was mass panic, Mayor Mare Struggling to keep ponies under control, nearly everyone were huddled up in their homes all knowing the overwhelming truth, that Nightmare Moon had returned, though... for a select few whom were dotted throughout Equestria, the news of the Dark Queen’s return was one of great celebration. One resident of Cloudsdale in particular was ecstatic at the news, a White Haired, above average size, Stallion with Silver in his mane and tail, Commander Lightning Flash of the Wonder Bolts. He had discretely slipped out from a Meeting of the senior members to see if the rumours were true. As he travelled through the cloud paved streets of Cloudsdale, he saw various Pegasi talking in small groups with slightly fearful expressions, but when noticing Lightning and his permanent giddy smile practically trotting by, he’s met with looks of a different nature. These looks didn’t go un-noticed by him and thought it best to head home, doing so quickly.
Nightmare moon smiled with triumph, seeing so many ponies with fear in their eyes made her want to laugh loudly as she walked past, she revelled in their fear but welcomes the odd smiles from the few loyal followers of hers, happy to see her as she walked around, soon walking up to a Pegasus and asked them where ‘Lighting Flash’ lived smiling widely when finally told where he lives, she planned to pay him a visit, flying to his home in Cloudsdale and wait for his return, but when she arrived, she notices the house was empty and so teleported herself inside, taking a seat and getting comfortable, awaiting the arrival of her, soon to be personal guard.
As he drew closer to his home, he finds no other pegasi around, that or hiding in fear, he finds this fact odd when approaching his home, opening the front door with his wing and walking inside. What he finds within he would never forget for the rest of his life, there, sat in his front room was the Dark Queen of the night herself! He couldn’t believe his eyes, not only for the fact she had returned but now that she was sat in his home, plain as the eve. He drops to his knees and bows humbly, the biggest smile he’d ever have, on his face, “My Queen... it’s such a great honour to have you in my home.” His words filled with both pride and excitement.
Nightmare Moon smiles and walks up to the bowing Pegasus, "Your loyalty shall be rewarded, I am making you my Personal Guard Lightning Flash," she says grandly, leaning in and kisses his lips in gratitude for giving her the power to rule Equestria, "without you, I would not be able to stand in front of you and make you my guard, so it is I that am honoured to be in your home."
This is all too fast for his mind to process, first he discovers the Dark Queen of the Night, Nightmare Moon in his home, and then he is appointed to be no less than her own, Personal Guard, which is the greatest honour in itself, but most unexpected of all he finds himself sharing an intimate kiss with the Dark Monarch, his tongue feeling over her sharp fangs which makes him blush deeply, however, he does become confused at her explanation afterwards, “WithOUT me? I’m sorry my Queen, but I don’t think I understand, this is the first I’ve met your highness in person, not that I’m complaining of course, you’re as beautiful as I imagined you would be,“ Lightning says with a blush.
Once more he can’t help but blush, due to the fact that, in his mind, the True Queen of Equestria was in his home, still being giddy about this fact, but he can’t help but smile in reaction to her soft giggle and seemingly gentle nature around him, he never knew that the Dark Queen could be so... affectionate to one such as him. Lightning makes sure to hold still as Nightmare places and fastens on each part of his new Royal Guard’s Armour, once the set is on securely, he walks over to a full length mirror nearby. A great swell of pride filling his chest as he admires his new armour, it being similar in design and colour to his Queen’s armour, but little personal touches she had added in herself, making the armour light weight and sleeker in order for him to fly at great speed with minimal drag. Looking back to Nightmare, he unfurls his large wings and bows in respect, “Thank you, so much my Queen, I don’t know what else to say, except that I will perform my duties to the best of my abilities.” He says with pride in his voice, “If your highness would allow me to ask, what are your plans for Celestia, you would need to overthrow her in order to cement your rule.” Lightning asks with concern in his voice when stepping over to Nightmare.
A confident smirk spreading over his muzzle, as he observes Nightmare walk out the front door, he closes it behind her with one wing and presses a concealed button with his hoof, then a slow cranking sound starts up and a hole opens in the house’s ceiling, the mechanism set on a timer, unfurling his wings and readying for a vertical takeoff once the wholes are wide enough, “Easy...” he says to himself, muscles tensed in his hind legs and wings, “NOW!” he yells, and with, an explosive release of pent up energy, he rocketed up through the holes with them each snapping shut behind him. Stopping after climbing fifty odd feet in the air and looking down to see Nightmare takeoff herself, grinning, Lightning Flash speeds after her, catching up with ease, “Evening your highness...” he says with a cocky tone, “these wings are more than just for show ya know.” He says, flying faster and heading toward the palace.
Nightmare smiles, happy that her own guard would impress her with a little show, "come back here you," she giggles, Actually feeling happy that one pony is making her smile, she starts picking up her pace and catches up with Lightning, "not so fast are you," she smirks showing her fang like teeth, then started to fly even faster, to start a small race as they were getting closer to the castle where Celestia resides.
Landing beside Nightmare, Lightning remains silent, listening to her whispering words and joining her in thinking of a solution to their current situation, looking to her form once more, “Your highness, you can change your form, maybe disguise yourself as another pony?” Lightning asks.
Lightning scrunches his muzzle up at hearing Celestia’s voice and snorts softly, clearly the situation is making him feel uncomfortable as they’re both allowed access into the room if he had to choose between wearing this stupid Armour week and pretending to be nice to Celestia, he’d would rather pick the armour, following Nightmare’s example and bowing before the sun princess, “Thank you for coming captain, I assume you have an update for me regarding the rumours that Lu... I mean Nightmare Moon wasn’t defeated, is this true?” Celestia asks in her soothing voice, correcting her momentary slip of the tongue, though she becomes curious as to why the Unicorn Guard had decided to lock the door, perhaps as a precaution? She the looks to the other Guard, a rather large and impressive Pegasus Stallion, “Hmmm... I don’t believe we’ve met are you relatively new to your station private?” she asks in a, polite, sweetly tone that irritates Lightning’s ears, holding back a cringe and scowl, “Yes, your highness...” Lightning Says reluctantly.
Nightmare tares intensely into Celestia’s eyes, speaking with a deep voice, "yes, I have not been defeated and I’m more powerful than ever now and will not be stopped until I have brought about eternal night! Now, dear sister, it's time for you to reside in your new home," she says with a smug smirk, waiting to see if Celestia caught onto her words before she, turns back to her original form, wanting to torment Celestia in so many ways before eating her, she smiled just wanting to laugh and be her true evil self once more, "I can sense my guard his heart belongs to me, ha he’s actually really tense around you, it's funny.”
Celestia’s calm expression turns to that of dread and sorrow, “No... This can’t be. This... this wasn’t how it was supposed to be, you were supposed to come back to me Luna...” Celestia says stretching out a shaking hoof to Nightmare’s intensely grinning face, while, unnoticed by both, of them, Lightning’s breathing deepens, his armour changing back to his original set that Nightmare had given him personally, the pieces glowing slightly, “Don’t... you EVER SAY HER NAME!!” Lightning shouts at Celestia, his burst shocking even Nightmare as he glares at Celestia, fear growing on her face from two fronts now, one from Nightmare Moon, the fear of possibly never getting to see her little sister again and the sudden outburst from the enraged male Pegasus, “Personal... Guard, Is it not enough to have corrupted my sister’s mind, now you do it others as well?!” she exclaims in distraught. Lightning begins walking toward the cowering Celestia, currently sat on her flanks and backing away slowly, “No one... is corrupting me... Unless you count yourself ruining your own sister’s beautiful starlit night with your ‘sunrise’,” he says, spitting bullets with each syllable, “I would do ANYTHING for my Queen, the TRUE ruler of Equestria...” he says, leaning in and his facial expression shifting into a smug smile, “Including the assignation of you.” He says with an almost light hearted tone, backing up to now stand by Nightmare’s side, both of them in their transparent blue armour.
Nightmare moon opens her wings in triumph, "it seems my guard has his own hatred of you sister and I'm not your sweet little Luna anymore!" she spat on the ground just in front of Celestia as she starts to slowly walk closer to her, "You’re going to make a great meal sister, and I will be the queen of this land, Equestria is mine, and it will exist under my night FOREVER!!" She laughs loudly and in an evil tone, when she looks at Celestia her pupils turn into a sharp slits as her mouth starts to build up with saliva, getting ready to eat the princess of the sun, meanwhile in the background there is sounds of guards galloping to Celestia's room.
Lightning smirks at watching his Queen berate and torture Celestia so exquisitely, Noticing Celestia’s facial expression turning from a look of fear to pure terror at the sight of Nightmare’s mouth widening before her, Lightning’s smile widening also, “She shall make a lovely morsel my Queen.” He says with a deep intensity, his head snapping around at the sound of Galloping hooves heading toward the bed chamber, turning sharply with wings unfurled he readies himself for battle as a spear made from the same metal as his armour materialises in his hoof, “My Queen... was this you?” he asks, turning his head only to catch Celestia’s head entering Nightmare’s wide jaws and then sliding into her throat, the sight distracting him a moment, a slight blush on his cheeks at watching Dark Alicorn he admired so devouring the Princess of the sun. His attention alerted back to the door as it bursts open and at least 6 guard’s ponies charge into the room, “Enjoy your meal my Queen handle these traitors.” He says fiercely.
“The only traitors here are you two! Charge!” one of the Guard’s announces as all 6 attack at once, Lightning smiling, raring to fight, “C’mon then!” he yells, dashing in and taking out 2 guards with 1 body slam, a third with a hind buck kick to the jaw and a slitting a 4th’s throat with the sharp end of his spear, being a Wonder Bolt Commander meant he was well versed with Arial and hoof to hoof combat.
By this point Nightmare has just widened her jaws over her large wings, pinned to her side by magic and right now gliding down Nightmare’s throat her stomach starting to bulge massively from the princess sliding into it as she continues gulping. Lightning standing his ground between the feasting Dark Alicorn Mare and the Loyal Solar guards trying to pass and save Celestia, though, from a glance, there wouldn’t be much TO save as Celestia’s Sun cutie-mark vanishes past Nightmare’s jaws, sat on her haunches and head tilted right back while levitating Celestia’s rear hooves, securely in the air. Her previous Alicorn meal of Dusk had been excellent practice for her current feat of gluttony, gulping loudly as the hind legs of the white mare descend down her throat with ease and her stomach bulging massive, gurgling noises sounding around Celestia from within already, a clear sign that her stomach is eager to break her down.
All that can be head from the Dark Queen, now was her moaning with pleasure as she commits to a final gulp and her stomach bulges massively with the last of the princess sliding into it, it’s now that she notices Lightning and the Guards preparing for another bought, "STOP NOW MY SUBJECTS!" she announces in her very Royal voice, "your princess is now within me and soon to be digested, so you might as well surrender and serve me or be executed for treason and miss out in my great night, it is your choice," her horn glowing with lightning levitating over to her as she places by her side, she stares at the surviving guards, "you did a great job Lightning, thank you," she says with genuine praise and began to rub her belly as Celestia does not fight, knowing she is defeated, but, oddly, she is happy to be in her sister’s stomach, she knows it's not truly Luna, but it felt like her. She starts rubbing the inside of Nightmare’s stomach, to show her forgiveness for her actions, a sentiment that nearly all but ignored by the dark Queen where she now lay.
Lightning does not resist when being levitated over to his queens side, struggling to stand on his hooves once Nightmare’s magic releases its levitative hold on him, bending down and laying his head upon Nightmare’s large stomach, purring softly at hearing it softly gurgle and churn around the Ex monarch, rubbing her belly soothingly as he’d promised her before, “Mmmm, she sounds delightful, digesting inside you my Queen.” Lightning says happily. The guards were at a loss, they had just witnessed the impossible, their sovereign princess had just been devoured by Dark Alicorn, and now proclaiming herself as queen while the Princess they were loyal to digests within the massive, yet steadily shrinking stomach. There was no choice left for them, the three remaining guards laying their spears down on the floor and bowing before the Black Mare, “We are your humble servants my queen, what would you ask of us?” the one Guard asks.
Nightmare smiles at the Guard’s submission, "excellent, you made the perfect decision, now go put on your new armour, the armour you currently wear insults me," her horn glowing as a door opens, leading to a room with new armour and weapons on display for her new guards. As they walk away, she closes her chamber door and looks to lightning, happy that he enjoys being with her as she lays a wing over him to keep him warm and comfy, "are you enjoying your cushion, Lightning?" She asks softly, as if she was treating him like she loved him.

Equestria into Darkness - Return of Nightmare
Nightmare moon sits on her throne, smiling as she looks out at her world, she is proud to have her guard and loyal follower with her for she has a little surprise planned for him.
It had been a few months since Nightmare Moon had come to power in the land of Equestria, though she had not been as ruthless as many may have dreaded, after waiting one thousand years on the moon she had learned the value of patience, and therefore did not force her night upon Equestria’s citizens straight away, she gave them time... time to become ‘acquainted’ to life in the night, allowing for the sun to be risen in the day and set in the evening, to allow for crops to grow naturally until Canterlot’s best magical scientist could successfully adapt crops that could grow in the moon light. She did however; gradually extend the night hours each day by a few minutes, which added up to an additional hour after the first month. She also decreed that all Citizens of Equestria spend the additional night hour looking up and admiring her night sky, creating vast light shows of meteor showers to better ‘motivate’ her followers.
These ‘performances had the desired effect, more and more ponies stayed up the additional hour at night to watch their queen’s shows. Although, Lightning had noticed that her nightly shows were beginning to put a strain on NMM abilities, approaching her while at her side one evening, “My queen, though I greatly admire what you’re doing to gain the favour of the ponies of Equestria, I do think that you maybe over taxing your abilities, Perhaps reducing your shows to only twice per week?” Lightning Flash suggests.
She looks at him in confusion, “why would I do that, every pony Finally likes the night I am Finally happy,” as she finished her sentence she places her hoof on her head as she quietly said in pain, “ow this headache I need a to res a little.”
Lightning Flash reacts quickly, catching Nightmare as sways slightly, dizzy and disorientated from over exertion, “With all due respect your highness, you are not fine, I’ll help you back to your room.” Lightning says, draping one of her front hooves over his shoulder, providing support as they both walk back to her quarters. Once entered, Lightning takes Nightmare over to her bed and lays her upon it, resting beside her, looking at his queen with concern, do you need anything my queen?” he asked in a soft, caring tone.
Lying down, she looks at him and smiles, “yes I just want one thing, I want you... I always wanted you; I want to make you my son.” She says affectionately.
Upon hearing this Lightning Flash’s muzzle goes beat red, “Y-you what?” He stammers out in surprise, “You... want ME, to be your YOUR son?” he repeats her question, just to clarify if he had heard her right, “B-but, how... aside from adoption, and even then I think I’m a bit too old to adopt” he says , trying to reason with her, not that he would reject such an off- he stops mid thought, noticing that Nightmare was slowly reverting back to her previous form of Princess Luna, “My Queen, Nightmare? Nightmare Moon, My Queen wake up!” he says, attempting to shake her awake but his attempts fail and he became more and more distressed, he didn’t want to serve Luna, a Pony unworthy of the title of Queen of the Night, he wanted his Nightmare Moon back, he wanted the dark Mare that he’d looked up to these past months a Queen, not a ‘Princess’. Despite this fact, he stay by the side of her bed, hoping that, buy morning, she would revert back to her evil self once more after which he would take steps to make sure she would NEVER revert back to her weaker self ever again.
Once the sun had risen she opens her eyes, for she was still in her evil form, only her eyes had reverted back to being those of Luna, laying a wing on Lightning as she whispered in his ear and said, “there is another way you can be my son, but I have noticed that I am changing and I don't know how to stop it, but if you have a plan then do it, then, once I'm back to my evil self, I will tell you the other way to make you my son.”
The soft whisper in his ear was like velvet in his mind, beautiful, soft and smooth, it had a hint of Nightmare Moon in it but was mostly Luna’s soft voice, This fact only spurred him on that following morning, bursting into the Lab of where the Canterlot Magical Scientists resided, demanding a cure for Nightmare’s ‘degenerating’ condition, but he is only met with frustration as none the magical experts had any clue as to why she were reverting back to her normal self. This left him no other choice and so he travelled out to the Everfree forest seeking the help of the Zebra Sharman that lived there, “Zecora, Zecora I need to speak with you it’s regarding a ‘friend’ of mine she isn’t well, she’s not herself, she’s developing characteristics that are... not normal to her usual character,” He says, bending the truth slightly so as not alert the Zebra to his True intentions.
Zecora looks at him with a narrow stare as she speaks, “whom you speak of, this pony is turning back, from an evil form to her true self, her destiny back on track, and you come to me to seek advice and my help, so that you may reverse this fate to one that will make ponies yelp,” she said in her riddle like tone, for she knew who lightning was talking about.
Grumbling under his breath after hearing Zecora’s answer, his rouse clearly seen through, he looks at her with a stern expression, “Zecora, answer me this... has Nightmare Moon, forced her night upon the ponies of Equestria, with no consideration to their well being? No, she hasn’t, she’s implementing a gradual change that will take place over time, allowing for the development of special crops capable of growing in moon light, and other magical and technological advances that will help ponies ease into the transition of Eternal night, all I ask, is for a potion to reverse the change that is taking hold in her, to return her to being the Dark Mare that I admire and lo-“ He stops mid speech and blushes slightly, “the mare that I l-love...” he admits in a softer tone.
Sighing heavily, Zecora starts walking around her hut, collecting ingredients and puts them into a caldron, it starts turning a dark purple then she puts the liquid into a bottle, “I will only do this once, but you better not show your face to me again as I will not give you a second chance!” she says firmly, putting on her robe and walks out the door, disappearing into the forest.
Taking the potion in hoof and placing it safely in his knapsack, he takes off for Canterlot, being sure not to rush, fearing he may lose his one chance to get back the mare he loves, “Nightmare I’m back, I got a potion from Zecora’s , I gave a sample of the potion to our scientists for analysis and hopes of making more if it turns out to be only a temporary fix,” he says reaching into his knapsack and pulling out the bottle containing the dark, Purple Liquid reaching out with a hoof before finally seeing her current condition. He very nearly drops the vile of position in shock at the state his love was in, snapping himself out of his shock quickly and gives the vile to Nightmare, “Drink up my
Nightmare was laid out on the floor, half of her looks were of Luna and the rest, of Nightmare Moon, and she opens her mouth and starts drinking the potion. It’s effects were almost instantaneous, as the potion entered her stomach, Nightmare grinds her teeth together in pain as they revert back to their sharp form, as well as the =colour of her body hair darkens from a midnight Blue to a pitch black and she starts laughing evilly, fully turning back to her old evil self, looks to Lightning with her great evil grin, getting back to her hooves as she spoke, “you did well, now you shall become my child, you shall be reborn and become another nightmare to this realm of eternal night.” She says with a sadistic confidence in her voice.
A smile can’t help but spread across his lips, as he chuckles deeply, “I’ve been waiting a long time for you to say that... mother” Lightning says, bowing before his true queen, “Let us just hope that that potion holds your ‘weaker side’ at bay just long enough for our magic technicians to synthesise more.” He says as Nightmare approaches him slowly.
Nightmare closes the chamber door, the sound of the door soon locking echoes across the room, “don't worry, I have you by my side, you will keep me right, and now it's time, all you have to do is take off any clothing or armour, and then sit,” she smirks as she sits and waits, watching lightning.
Throughout the days while he was changing, she tried doing every normal thing she would do as her belly swells slightly, she would Murr while rubbing her belly, enjoying the sensation of having him within her. She soon feels he was ready to be re-born but waited until the moon was at its fullest and then, at midnight she started giving birth to her new stallion that she would love and care for until the end of time. She struggles a little bit but manages to force her child out; looking back to see him, she smiles and admires his new form, moving to him and started licking him clean like a dutiful mother mare would a newborn.
Blinking awake as he suddenly feels cold air all around him, bitterly nipping at his wet fur, attempting to make sense of his surroundings before focussing on a warm sensation along his back, between his wings. Looking over his shoulder, Lightning spies Nightmare Moon licking tenderly over his back grooming him with her long tongue, though the sensation felt wonderful, he was NOT a newborn colt, grunting shakily as he attempts to get his feet, his legs feeling wobbly, not used to the extra 3 inches of leg he had to work with, but he was sure he’d adjust in time. As he stands at his full height, he becomes aware of new memories not his own, feeling his whole body coated thinly in a liquid film. A mere thought entering his mind and his new horn ignites in a silvery-blue, the sensation sending a tingling sensation through his body, and the moistness coating his hair, mane, wings and tail evaporate instantly, ending off with a unfurling of his new large wings, stretching them out to full extension, turning to look at his mother, merely standing by and admiring him. Walking sure footedly toward Nightmare and bows to his beloved queen... and mother, “Mother... I am so eternally grateful for this honour.” Lightning says, in a noticeably deeper sounding voice.
She smiles at him, kissing his forehead gently, “I am honoured at your gratefulness son, but I'm happier that you ARE my son, now we can rule Equestria together, but there is something that has been concerning me while you were inside.”
Lightning raises a brow inquisitively, “And what would that be mother?” he asks... stepping closer to comfort her.
