Twilight trotted towards the stairs, staring up at them. It was late at night and Spike had told Twilight to stay downstairs because he had to do something important. Twilight kept wondering what a baby dragon could possibly doing that's important. On the other hoof, she didn't mind much because anything that Spike did could make her happy, and anywhere she went with him made it special.
The princess always remembered the day that little dragon had hatched, and thought about the day he'd have to leave. Then, thinking back to the size of the castle, she remebered that even twenty Celestias could fit in there... the though of more than four princesses, plus her niece, Flurry Heart, made her cringe. Who needed more than five Alicorns, anyways?
After a few minutes, a thump was heard, then a voice.
"Twilight! Are ya coming already?" It said. Twilight giggled a bit then teleported upstairs. Spike jumped at the sudden appearance. He scratched his head with a claw and lead the alicorn to the library room, not too far from the flights of stairs. He opened the door, smiling a little.
Twilight was shocked. Impressed. She couldn't believe her eyes. The whole room was organized. The floor was shining like crystal again, which is what it was, and all books in alphabetical order and by author. Tables and old ancient books were dusted, and everything looked..... perfect. Twilight turned to hug Spike, but was greeted by a space of nothingness. She trotted to Spike's bedroom, but he wasn't there.
Twilight, in confusion, went strait to her bedroom and went under the covers. She shifted in her place, but felt uncomfortable. Kicking off the sheets, there was Spike, sleeping soundly under there. Smiling, Twilight picked up the dragon, laying him on the pillow next to her, then falling asleep.
White. An empty blank space of confusion, nothing more. No mind, nor thought, but only a bright light. It seemed to move, but unable to tell. Because everything is white. Then a ear deafening sound comes, as the whole picture comes to life. Ponies frantically running around, unbearable heat and wild animals chasing little fillies. The sound of cries fill the air and all white is now gone.
Six shapes surround each other, lines of light connecting to random cutie marks. Three shield shapes surround three others and a ball of fire enters into the brightest shape. Clearing out, it seems to be a star, the element of magic. In fact, the six main shapes were elements. With much power, they glowed and surrounded the most powerful one. Then, the elements faded, and the ones connecting them burn with fire, yet the ball of fire fades. The fire did not come from the ball of it, but from more powerful balls of fire. Though the one inside the Element of Magic was much smaller, but powerful. Soon enough, the shields faded, then everything goes white.
Twilight Sparkle woke up, panting heavily. Shaking her head, she started to sob silently. She cried for the next hour until daylight came, and the sun rose. A knock came from the door, but this time it was the porch door. She weakly opened it, her eyes slightly tear-stained.
Trotting towards it was Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Rainbow, with a volleyball in her hoof and Fluttershy, empty handed, stared at the alicorn in confusion.
"Oh, um good morning ,Twilight. Is something wrong. D-did something happen?" Fluttershy asked, landing from her hovering state.
Twilight hung her head, and motioned for them to come inside. The two trotted in, just as Spike woke up.
"Morning...what's got you so worked up?" He asked, halfheartedly. Though the three mares already were downstairs at that last part.
Twilight sat them down, taking in a deep breath, then letting it out. She then spoke:
"Well, last night I had some kind of vision... about the future." She said. Rainbow and Fluttershy stared at her in shock.
"Woah! So did we! Shy and I here spoke about it, and was hoping you could help us understand it." Rainbow said, smiling a little. Twilight then asked her what it was about. So then, the cyan pegasus cleared her throat.
"So there I was: in the everfree forest, fighting some changelings. And, duh, I was totally beating their flanks! Just then, the element of Loyalty came from the changeling and then it surrounded me. I thought I'd do somethin' awesome, but it didn't. In front of my eyes, it faded grey, and my fur darkened, and the rainbow pattern on my mane did, too. The element started slowly shrinking, then I did the same. Then, your element surrounded mine and it healed. Then...... everything went.. white! What the hay is that about?" She asked.
Twilight's heart was pounding heavily and happily. She was an expert at interpreting dreams, so she did this now.
"Your fading element represents you getting old. My element surrounded you to protect you, so you became young again and healed.... Hmmm. Now, uh what color did you last see, again?"
"Uh, white, but a slight red before the white." She stated.
"Rainbow, your dream, or vision is saying that a severe accident with changelings, effects you, and you soon get old. I one come to save your life, but it's a danger. The red represents blood of danger, and white means you will have life forever." Twilight finished, seeing Fluttershy give a shocked glance.
Rainbow jumped out of her chair excitedly, dancing around like the filly she was. Rainbow's mind swapped to different subjects, back in forth, but remembered that her friend had mentioned something that she never feared. Danger. She sat back down, and looked at the lavender princess with a glare.
"Um, so... what kind of danger, exactly?" She asked. Twilight hung her head, once again and mumbled.
"Only the most dangerous, heart-breaking experience, my friend.
