Unforeseen Calamity
The year is 2017, and the state of the world is…precarious, to say the least. Mainland China has been taken over by a nationalist, anti-American government and is straining the global economy by going isolationist and destroying the country from the inside out due to fighting between the military and backlashes from civilian resistance. In an attempt to ease tension and bring the economy back from the brink, the U.S president is tries to broker peace in the the region. After a nearly successful assassination attempt on the president's life during a state visit on the matter, things take a turn for the worse.
Two days after the event, China, now known as 'The New Empire of China', declared war on the U.S 'aggressors', thus bringing us to the current day. However, in the final days of the reign of the Communist government, they offloaded all of their precious state history and artifacts to be shipped out of the country. All of that comes to a head, however, when a U.S Merchant Marine vessel under U.S escort carrying the priceless historical goods from China for safekeeping from the war goes missing. When the fleet doesn't come to port, they are last reported to have been in the middle of the Pacific, in the middle of nowhere.
Warnings:
-The rating and gore/sex tag appear solely to notify the reader that sexually suggestive events will occur, but not be gone into in any notable detail. The gore tag is a catch-all tag to let you know: people gon' bleed 'n' stuff.
-This is my first story on FimFiction, so let's hope this doesn't join the many cancelled stories I've seen on here.
-I do not have an intimate knowledge of the Chinese or U.S military and am rough on even my knowledge of MLP, so I apologize for skewered facts or for characters being, well, out of character.
-I do not have an editor or a proofreader and progress on this story will likely be slow early on.
So, if you can stomach all of this and are still interested, then welcome aboard. Let's see where this goes.
