The Day The Sun Demon Came

     I am Moonbrush, the last of the kirins, and this is my story.

I was one year old when she came. It started as any other day, I woke up, I ate, I took a warm bath. It seemed like any other day until a bright light blinded me for a few seconds. I felt a tremble as the palace shook and I ran to the throne room to see my frantic mother. Mother saw me and motioned for me to hide so I darted behind a curtain and peeked out to see mother facing off a tall white being. The being was blindingly whit with an image of the sun emblazoned upon their flank,they had massive wings and a horn that looked sharp enough to impale me, I shuddered at the thought of being skewered by that being, the being's purple eyes glowed like fire and their multicolored mane flowed in a nonexistent breeze, at that moment I knew who she was, she was the sun demon.
