Doctor Whooves of Gallopfrey: The Runaway Doctor
The Doctor had been missing for weeks now. The only lead they had was the crusaders and daring do’s stories.
The muffled message the Doctor had said to tell Ditzy was the most common thought in Ditzy’s tear filled existence.
Had the Doctor really loved her?
And where was he now?
Ditzy thought he was in the worst place possible, his grave, the truth was, he was far from it.
The Doctor ran, ran and ran, down a seemingly infinite corridor, what he was running from was unclear. He just did, it was instinct. Pausing to catch his breath he noticed his scarf was gone.
“Oh”
He felt for his sonic. Scanning the place from roof to floor, he had a new lead.
“AHA, NEGATIVE SPACE, HOW?” He felt the need to explain it as if someone was there
“Interdimensional portals, everywhere!”
Out of instinct he popped into the most recent one.
Awakening he was in a new form.
“Oh my”
He looked at his hoof.
It had these weird sausages on the end, he dubbed them fingers, it seemed right. Looking down he noticed he was very tall. His cloak reached down his legs now. He thought this world was way too weird, (even for the Doctor)
He stepped back and popped into negative space, chaos ensued as he changed back to his normal pony form
Weeping Ponies
Cyberponies
Daleks
‘EXTERMINATE’
The world had ensued the Doctor’s fears. He ran, not knowing where he would pop out. As he ran he looked into a recently opened portal. He saw Twilight's library, out of instinct he jumped.
“Spike we need a checklist on the – “
A portal opened up behind the much panicked Twilight.
*POP*
The Doctor came tumbling out. She stopped levitating her quill. It slowly drifted through the violent yet still air before setting down on the desk besides her.
“Oh my”
She trembled.
The Doctor looked on in confusion. It was old Twilight. Purple unicorn Twilight. It started to make sense now. It was a different universe.
Spike walked up beside her
“Wow, who’s that?”
*BANG*
The portal behind the Doctor closed. He stared at the books that were once covered by the portal.
“NO”
He screamed he dropped.
The Doctor woke in the TARDIS. Is it possible it was all just a bad dream?
“Hello?”
Pounding came in from the door, he stepped over to have a look. It was purple Twilight.
“You – you just dropped and that thing just, well, sort of materialized around you”
“It’s the TARDIS, keeps me safe, when I fell unconscious it thought I was in danger and just came”
“Well, what a reliable box you have their”
Twilight gave a weak smile.
“Uh when – where am I Twilight?”
“Equestria and how do you know my name?!”
He just stared at her and gestured for her to come in.
“Be a bit intimate, wont it?”
“Have a look for yourself”
She stepped inside, but instead of freaking out she just smiled.
“Oh cool, Unicorn magic”
‘WHAT?”
The Doctor went off.
“If anything that’s TIME PONY MAGIC”
“No, we have spells to make things bigger in the inside!”
“SO, let me get this straight, I have crossed over into a slightly different universe that has a different magic spell, is that the only difference?”
“What are you on about?”
“Oh don’t worry!”
The Doctor stepped out of the door to the library into the crisp gold morning wind.
“AH PONYVILLE”
“Yep Ponyville”
Twilight followed.
That’s when the Doctor saw her. The golden flowing mane. The beautiful grey coat. The deep golden eyes.
“Hah, that’s Derpy”
Twilight spoke.
“Biggest clutz in the world, so clumsy, yet so energetic”
“Derpy”
“Yeah her real name is Ditzy Whooves”
“Why do you call her Derpy then?”
“Have you seen her eyes?”
“Yeah, so what if she can’t focus them?”
“She looks, well ... Derpy"
And at that the Doctor raced over towards her.
“Hey”
Ditzy just looked down, confused with how to reply. Nopony had ever tried to socialize with her, and who would? She was just a clutzy douche.
“He – Hello”
She summoned up a bit more courage
“Look, if somepony is paying you to speak to me leave now please”
“No, I just want to socialize”
“Are – are you sure?”
“Yes”
“I’m Ditzy by the way” Her voice manifested into a more depressed tone “But you can call me Derpy, like everypony else”
“I’m The Doctor … Ditzy”
Ditzy smiled,
“So, you call yourself, the Doctor?”
“Hmm – hmm”
“Oh, okay”
Two ponies wandered over to the Doctor and Ditzy,
“Got your first friend Derpy”
The second just stuck out her tongue and made her eyes go crossed. Derpy just held her hoof over her face. She hovered off. The Doctor just pursued on the ground.
Ditzy flew and hid on a cloud, burying her face in the white soft fluff. The Doctor slowed down staring at the cloud. In a flash Rainbow shot past at 16.7 wing power. The Doctor sprinted after her.
“Rainbow, can you go and get Ditzy, say the Doctor wants to see her”
Rainbow stopped, her skin went muggy, and he knew her name.
“How – How do you know my name?”
“Doesn’t matter, just get Ditzy”
“What you mean DERPY”
“Yes, Ditzy”
“Heh, ok”
She flew up through the still and violent air.
“Yo, Derpy, the Doctor wants ya”
Ditzy looked up, her tear stained face dripping. Her wings started to flap, bringing her down towards him.
“What do you want?”
“Look Ditzy, I can’t explain this very well, but I need to get home” He paused before continuing “I think you might be able to help”
“How so?”
The Doctor flipped out his sonic, scanning Ditzy.
“Doctor, what are you doing?”
“Shh”
*CLICK
“Finished, follow me!”
The Doctor sprinted off. Closely followed by Ditzy. The Doctor and Ditzy smashed into Rarity on the way who was carrying her latest dress.
“Oh my Celestia” she looked at the Doctor “OH MY CELESTIA, LOOK AT YOUR CLOTHES!”
“What’s wrong with the coat?!”
“Have you looked in the mirror recently, you could do with a nice velvet suit, Mister?”
“Doctor”
“Right mister Doctor, drop by the boutique, okay”
Rarity winked and picked up her cluttered dress from the dirty ground.
“That’s five seconds of immortality I won’t get back” The Doctor joked.
‘Let’s save the world before bedtime!’
The dust and the dirt got flung up as the Doctor and Ditzy raced down the path, the rocks tumbled off the path as they sprinted, they bumped into as many a ponies as possible, as all hope seemed lost, a portal opened smack in front of them, a blue filly tumbled out.
“Ouch” she shouted as she hit her wings on the ground. She looked around, all she could see was ponies. She then looked down at herself with inquisitive and innocent eyes.
“Am I a pony?”
“Last time I checked!” The Doctor chimed in, “and you are?”
“Bu-Bubbles”
Bubbles looked down at her flank, shiny bubbles looked back. Ditzy looked at her flank, identical. Another portal opened up behind The Doctor…
“Oh *%#@! Ouch” a certain green filly flung out.
“Oh another one! you know her?” he looked at bubbles, now trying to blow her mane out of her face.
“She looks similar,” she stared at the green filly, then at her flank, as expected, Buttercup flowers. “Buttercup?”
“Yup the one and only dude!”
Yet another portal exploded behind them all. A pink filly went flying through the sky and landed on the Doctor.
“Sorry mister”
She got up, dusted herself off. The filly trio all glanced at each other, before the magic kicked in.
“Buttercup?!”
“Bubbles?!”
“Blossom!?”
“Bubbles?!”
“Buttercup?!”
“Blossom?!”
“DOCTOR!”
The Doctor jumped in the middle of the pegasi.
“I’m the Doctor and if I’m correct and I usually are with these sorts of things, you’re not from around here are you”
“Oh yeah, what gave it away, was it that we came from a fricken portal from in the sky!” Butter cup pointed out the obvious truth.
“Sorry, uh Buttercup is it?”
“Yes”
“Well, welcome to Equestria”
Ditzy spake
"Doctor, are we going to find this portal?"
"Yes of course"
A portal opened up, and as soon as the five looked at it, it slammed shut.
The Doctor pointed his sonic at an empty space.
*TRUM - THRUM - THRUM
The Tardis appeared, he walked into it. Ditzy approached the three who were staring whistfuly at their hooves and cutie marks.
"You really have no idea whats going on do you?"
"DOES IT LOO-"
"Buttercup!, she asked nicely ... so reply nicely" Bubbles stared up into her eyes. "No, we have many questions like who are you?, what is that?, what are we? where are we? and can we go back to Townsville now!"
"Sorry, but, the last portal closed, their's no way back"
Bubbles looked down depressed. Ditzy and the trio walked into the TARDIS. The mouths of the filly dropped. The Doctor was nowhere to be seen. As Ditzy walked deeper towards the TARDIS.
