Humanized... Ponies?
Chapter Two: Introductions
Previous ChapterNext Chapter“Damn, you guys really went all out, huh?”
You stood in the main lobby/lounge area of the ‘Official Human Sanctuary of Canterlot’, or so it proclaimed upon the front of the building. The lobby area featured a small desk as well as a small waiting room, complete with crappy doctors office magazines. The lounge area was pretty much a massive living room, featuring couches, tables, a large fireplace, and several small bookcases.
The entire room was decorated with large amounts of plants, and looked more like a wintery lodge entrance than the average animal sanctuary. Not only that, but something also caught your eye. The lobby was fit with chairs made for ponies, while the lounge filled with furniture fit for a human.
You blink. “You used the furniture I had made for Hearths warming as a template for your human furniture.”
You shift your gaze around the spacious room. “Come to think of it, this place was HUGE on the outside, and everything seems to be designed for humans. How long did it take to do all of this?”
Celestia raised an eyebrow. “Well it certainly didn’t take a small amount of time. It took about three weeks to renovate this old mansion, and another two to fill it with furniture, for both humans and ponies.”
Your eyes widen. “How… how long have you been planning all of this?”
“Quite some time now, almost three months.” She catches your shocked stare. “Did you seriously think we did this as soon as we realized your dilemma? We had to think of what impact humans would have to Equestria, how many bits would be needed, finding and modifying a sanctuary, and more.”
Your brow furrows. “Oh? And what of the transformation? You didn’t seem to plan that out very well, considering what happened.”
Celestia looks away sheepishly. “Ah, w-well we didn’t have any spells that were temporary that happened to simulate what a permanent spell would do.”
You catch the waver in her voice, and your old shit-eating grin comes back. “Are ya sure about that?”
She mumbles something under her breath, but a shout interrupts any dickish comments on her behalf. “We could use some assistance out here!”
You chuckle, patting Celestia on the back as you make your way outside once more. You come to a scene of humans lying on the grass of the front lawn, almost all panting for breath. Only Luna remains standing, looking at you with desperation. “A little help would be nice, sir Anon.”
You roll your eyes, before helping Luna to her feet, taking care to prevent your gaze from going to her naked chest. You spend the next several minutes hauling ponies inside onto the couches. As you finish up, you contemplate how they managed to get in this condition.
When the ponies became human, they gained what Celestia dubbed ‘human magic’, which was literally just a resistance to magic from any outside influence. But their inherent magic also seemed to change, going from their natural tribal magic into something more ‘pure’, as the Princess called it.
Apparently, their magic was now incredibly easy to use, allowing casting easier than that of a unicorn, as evidenced by their self-levitation. But, in doing so, their magic has grown weaker, making it so that even a powerful unicorn would now have difficulty lifting a cup with magic.
And so here you have a massive group of magically drained humans, with the barest of abilities to do much else than to lie on the lounge’s couches and sweat everywhere.
You shake your head, sighing. “So, how long until they gain their energy back?”
Twilight speaks up looking at the pony-humans with awe. “Ponies naturally regain their magic within a couple of hours. They should be able to move again by the time that the sun needs lowering.”
You nod, taking this in. “Okay, well while we wait, why don’t we all introduce ourselves, seeing as ol’ Celestia here didn’t do the job.”
You smirk as you hear a groaning behind you, before moving your attention to the pony-human in the couch next to you.
You blink before he speaks. ‘The heck am I going to call these guys? I just can’t keep calling them pony-humans for the rest of their lives. But just calling them humans seem, weird for some reason…’
You shake your head as he speaks. “Well, my name is Strict Study. I used to be a teacher at Celestia’s school.” He turns his attention to the woman next to him. “And this is Hammered Nail, my wife. She helped to design this whole place and is quite good with building.”
You blink yet again noticing something that was immediately obvious. The entire group of transformed ponies skin and hair colors is nowhere near that of a regular human’s. Strict Study’s skin color is a light brown, with deep, almost leaf-like green hair. Hammered Nail has dark blue skin, with pink hair.
Nodding, you look to the next couple, looking to a man with a red color similar to Big mac’s, with a shaved head. “The name’s Struck Chord, happen to be a musician.” A small woman with light pink skin smiles. “My name is Flash Brush, I just paint here and there.”
A nod to the next couple, tending to a panting child nearby. A woman with light blue skin and light pink hair nods back. “Name’s Raining Shield, and I am quite certain that I am currently the only human royal guard in this place.” The father, Snow White skin and orange hair, looks up from the recovering child. “Needle Work, the groups doctor, it seems.”
The young girl, who looks somewhere between eight and nine, grows a massive smile. “My name is Moon Lily!” She has light blue skin, complete with long orange hair.
Two ponies look up, both of whom you recognize immediately. “And you guys are Lyra and Bonbon. I’m guessing Lyra will be an extra musician.” You give Bonbon a confused look. “But what about you? Are you still going to be a candy maker?”
She shrugs, looks down at her shoulders in confusion, before looking back up. “I’m actually going to be the cook. But I still will be making some sweets now and again.”
You nod, before realizing something and cringing. “Great just realized that I have seven large names to remember and I have difficulty remembering names as simple as John, let alone names like that. Mind if I give you guys nicknames?”
When the group nods, you start pointing to each. “Alright, Strict Study, you are now just Study. Hammered Nail, as amusing as it is to call you hammered all of the time, you will just be Nail.”
“Struck Chord, you will be Chord. Flash Brush will just be Flash.” You move your gaze to the small family, only to chuckle at the sight of the bouncing child.
“Raining Shield will just be Shield, while Needle Work will just be Needle.” You nod to the overly excited girl. “And Moon Lily will be Lily.”
You look to Lyra, Bonbon, and Luna. “I don’t need nicknames for you guys. Should be able to remember.”
You all sit quietly for some time, each human remembering their new names as well as those of their new species. You only look up when you hear Twilight muttering to herself. You snap your fingers, her head jerking towards you as you raise an eyebrow.
She blushes. “Sorry, just thinking about todays events. Or, more specifically, why Everypo-one, happened to have such a difficult time moving.”
“Twilight, these ponies have been living in the bodies of quadrupeds for YEARS now. They have no experience in any biped movement. They will undoubtedly be having some difficult times.”
She shakes her head. “But that doesn’t make sense! Ponies have used transformation magic for centuries, and we have never seen this problem. Even when ponies went into radically different bodies, they still moved as though they were born that way.”
You lapse into silence as you mull this over. Eventually, a grandfather clock rings its toll, marking the time where the sun usually lowers. A small exclamation of surprise rings out behind you, and you see the sun beginning to lower below the horizon.
Luna looks out of the window, a determined expression upon her face. She concentrates, making a sound somewhere between a growl and a grunt. Before long, the moon has been raised, and an exhausted Luna lies on a nearby couch. You chuckle at the sight.
“Well, its been quite a bit of time, everyone ready to head to our new rooms?” With a nod, the nine of the ten humans start glowing, and follow Nail to their custom rooms. You walk up to the limp form of Luna.
“You going to lay there all night, or are we going to head to out room?” She reaches blindly out with her hands. “Carry me?”
You blush, having no intention on laying any hands on the sweaty, naked form in front of you. “Luna, before all of this, you were an alicorn with the ability to literally raise the moon. I’m certain that you can make it up there yourself.”
She groans, but complies, knowing your view on nudity. As you walk deeper into the sanctuary, you look towards the Lobby.
“Before we head in Celestia, why IS there a lobby in this place?”
“Well, it’s for the small staff that will be running the sanctuary.”
A blink. “Staff?” She rolls her eyes, jabbing her horn towards the receding outlines of the humans.
“You saw first hoo-hand what these humans can be like. The staff will be here just to make sure nothing bad happens, as well as give assistance where needed.”
“Yeah, I can understand that, but a lobby?”
“We were uncertain if this is the exact number of humans you wanted. The lobby is there for anypony who wants to check in with ponies that have been changed. It is also there for anypony who WANTS to change.”
“Alright, I suppose that makes sense. But, if you don’t mind, I have no real intention on having any more flailing humans around. For now we should be fine with the current population.”
She nods, before looking at you sheepishly. “Also, one more thing before you head in, there won’t be any pony staff for a couple of days. We had extreme difficulty finding ponies who wanted to become permanently human, we actually had to go to other cities to look for those willing.”
“Thankfully, finding staff was slightly easier, albeit still difficult. We are currently still training them, as well as getting them prepared for living with a brand new species. Mostly this just involves basic training in whatever task they will work, as well as leaving Equestria for Griffinstone. Mostly just to get them used to another species presence.”
You nod, noticing that you are standing within the doorframe of your new room. “Alright, for now we should be fine. If anything goes wrong, I’ll have Luna use a spell to contact you.”
She bows, smiling. “Very well. I hope your ready Anon, for you are about to have the very first day without any pony help tomorrow. Good luck!”
And with that, she walks off, guards trailing behind her. You enter the room, too tired to do much else than sleep. You throw yourself on the bed, trying to ignore the snoring naked Luna in the bed with you as you begin to does off.
