"Twilight, we've been over this a thousand times. You can stop now."
"I'm sorry, but you said you wanted to learn morse code. I'm only doing what you told me to."
Pinkie pie slumped even further into her chair, an unamused expression on her face. About 20 minutes ago, Pinkie pie had come to Twilight's house, wanting to know morse code for no particular reason whatsoever.
I really should have thought out this story before I wrote it.
Twilight, being the good friend that she is, took advantage of Pinkie's unusual desire to learn, and tried to teach her. I say tried, because Pinkie did not understand a word she was saying. On the flip side, Twilight had practically redecorated the entire library with morse code translation charts.
"Look, Pinkie, I'm trying to help you learn this. I don't know why you need to know morse code, but... Wait, why do you want to know morse code anyways?"
"I don't need to know it."
"Then why did you come here, asking how to talk in morse code?"
"Because if I didn't, we wouldn't have a story."
Not even bothering to think about what Pinkie just said, she tore down a morse code translation chart and shoved it in front of Pinkie's face in frustration.
"We have been over this a thousand times, L is .-.., and y is -.--, so please stop making me repeat myself."
"Actually, I think I've got it down. Thanks Twi! You're a great teacher!"
"Thanks, now go ahead, I have a lot of work to do right now."
"Okie Dokie!," said Pinkie, as she bounced out out of the door.
"Oh no! I have got to get to the Cakes' house! They said they wanted me over at 3:00, and I'm already 3.14159265358979323846 seconds late!"
Pinkie hurried to the Cakes' bakery, hoping to arrive before they noticed she was late. Fortunately, she thought to use her randomness powers to teleport over, despite not being a unicorn. "So, what did you need me for?" Pinkie inquired.
"Mr. Cake said to tell you that we needed way more supplies, but we didn't want to take them from you, we needed to know if you were using them." Said Mrs. Cake.
"--- -.- .. . / -.. --- -.- .. .!"
Pinkie hurried to Sugarcube Corner to grab the supplies The Cakes needed. Mrs. Cake, however, stood there with a confused look on her face.
"I'm back!" Said Pinkie, dumping 3 1/2 metric tons of baking equipment next to Mrs. Cake.
"Thanks?," she said, dazed. By then, however, Pinkie was gone, heading to Rarity's, as she had asked Pinkie to come over and help her organize some Jewels.
"Pinkie! You're here! Oh thank goodness, I didn't know if you would come."
".. - .----. ... / ..-. .. -. . .-.-.- / ... --- / .-- .... .- - / -.. --- / -.-- --- ..- / .-- .- -. - / -- . / - --- / -.. --- ..--.."
Rarity stood there, motionless.
"Rarity?"
"Yes, Pinkie?"
"Why aren't you moving?"
"Because you started saying random dashes and dots."
"They're not random, it's morse code."
"Morse code, huh. It certainly isn't very conventional." The rest of the session was as normal, Pinkie helped Rarity, then Pinkie left. Then the universe disappeared because I was too lazy to write the rest of the story. THE END. But then I realized that stories have to be at least 1,000 words long to publish them so I continued.
Pinkie Pie then decided to go to Applejack's house, for no reason whatsoever aside from the fact the she had nothing better to do. As she walked-no-er... Whatever she was doing to get over, she wondered why she had decided to learn morse code anyways. Arriving at Applejack's, she knocked on the door.
"Howdy Pinkie. What brings you here?"
"Oh, I don't know actually. I think it's that I have nothing better to do."
"Well, to be honest, there really isn't much to do around here. You should throw a party or something. You're good at that."
"Now that you mention it, that sounds like a much better idea than when I first thought of it."
"Wait a second, let me get this straight. You thought of throwing a party, but didn't," Applejack said, casually strapping pillows to herself.
" .. .----. -- / --. --- -. -. .- / .--- ..- ... - / --. --- .-.-.- .-.-.- .-.-.- / -.-- --- ..- / -.-. .- -. / -.-. --- -- . / - --- / - .... . / .--. .- .-. - -.-- / .- - / ... ..- --. .- .-. -.-. ..- -... . / -.-. --- .-. -. . .-. / .. -. / .- / ..-. . .-- / .... --- ..- .-. ... --..-- / .-- .... . -. / .. - .----. ... / -.. --- -. . .-.-.-"
"Wha- you know what, you go throw a party." Said Applejack, as she watched Pinkie leave.
"Well, thanks, Twilight, now I look like a weirdo."
As she set up her party, Pinkie thought about why morse code was ever invented in the first place. All she knew is that it was used for communication in Equestria War II. She pondered for a bit, not realizing how limited technology was at the time.
"Streamers- Check, pizza- check, and other decorations- ...check! Yes! the official morse code-er- I had nothing better to do than throw a party-party is done! Now to invite some friends over! This will be - h . -... e ... t party . v . .-.! Eh, I need to stop doing that."
