It was a very beautiful night, Luna's moon raised high and bright in the night sky with all the other bright twinkling stars in the background of the night. It was quite marvellous, ponyville was extra quiet tonight nobody was found outside. It was dead silent with the only noise being crickets and other natural sounds. Twilight was lying on her back in her bed, staring at the ceiling with a increased face of anger when she yelled out of frustration.
"Uh aaahhh! they just don't get it, they don't understand my struggle, my issue". Twilight exclaimed in her bed at no one inparticular but herself. "How they just shove it off like whateves 'oh darling every one has to go sometime' and 'don't worry Twi I bet you'll find more friends once were gone' yeah right!". Twilight stated mocking Rarity and Rainbow Dash's quotes, Twilight raised both her hooves toward the ceiling to emphasize her frustration and anger. "How can they be so arrogant, so oblivious, and stupid there the ones that get to die with there friends! I Don't, I have to move on with those memories of us, I have to make new friends every few years!" . Twilight yelled hitting her bed with her forehooves and tearing up a little from her outburst "I...I have to live without them".
Spike began to stir in his bed and woke up from Twilight's loud ranting he blinked a few times then yawned has he tried to decipher what was going on with Twilight. "Uh look Twilight sorry to interupt you from your deep conversation with yourself but can you tone it down a little bit? I'm trying to sleep" Spike asked while groaning and lying his head back down.
Twilight sighed has she layed on her side facing the window giving her a clear view of Luna's moon and night sky plus the view of Ponyville. "Sorry Spike it's just I've been holding that in all day, I...I just needed to let it out I can't go to sleep anyway to much on my mind right now" Twilight stated with a sigh.
Spike raised his head up again and glared at Twilight, he hadn't seen her act like this since the Moondancer incident, 'what's going on with her? whatever was on her mind it was making her depressed' Spike thought. "Oh come on Twilight it's not that bad I mean didn't you know this would happen when you became a alicorn?" Spike asked now laying up in his bed. Twilight didn't move or show any acknowledgement at all to Spike's statement.
It was silent, a little too silent minutes have passed and Spike still just sat there observing Twilight waiting for a reply to his question. When Twilight finally sat up and started at Spike has if trying to look into his soul and she spoke in a soft but slightly threatening voice. "Spike it's not just whatever this is friendship were talking about and yeah sure I got the wings now but I didn't think that would mean I wouldn't die. Some people think it's cool to be immortal, that it's awsome to be a princess but it's not and I would take it all back if I could, if it meant...I would be with my friends till the end." Spike just stared in awe has he couldn't find his words. Twilight layed back down and glared out the window "Truth is Spike nobody wants to be immortal, they think they do intill they are immortal then they realise it's a curse but then it's too late. This is a curse Spike, my curse and I have to live with it forever...let's just go to sleep now".

7:38 a.m.
Friendship Castle
Twilight opened her eyes to the bright rays of Celestia's Sun shining in the daylight threw her windowsill, Twilight leaned up in bed rubbed her eyes and yawned while doing her mourning stretch. She got up, made her bed and began her list for the day, Twilight walked pass Spike's empty bed to the bathroom where she brushed her teeth and mane. She decided to stare at her reflection as if trying to find out who that pony staring back is. "Huh look at me, who is this pony I'm looking at...why yourself Twilight you're looking and talking to yourself in a mirror. Look at me this crown, these stupid puffy wings, the cane I put somewhere plus the cape. Where did it go all...crazy? when did I become so popular, loved, respected, so royal and uh...immortal?" Twilight kept staring at her self thinking, trying to awnser her own question when she finally came to a conclusion. "When I became a princess one of many things I now regret". Twilight told herself, she finished washing her face and walked out of the bathroom, then headed to the door leading to the main hall. When she opened the door she saw Starlight leave her room and headed toward the briefing room, Twilight decided to follow her to see what she's doing.
"I know your following me Twilight" Starlight said while walking to the briefing room and catching glances of Twilight behind her trying to hide.
Twilight huffed and came out of hiding and ran to catch up to Starlight "how did you know I was following you Starlight I used a spell of silence" Twilight asked. Starlight faced Twilight and gave her a smirk but didn't say anything they both walked into the briefing room where the rest of the mane 6 were. Twilight walked and sat at her chair waiting for someone to talk but it was just silent in till Applejack decided to break the silence.
"Uh sugarcube you gonna start the ceremony Twilight" Applejack asked has she straightened her postur and put on a grin excited for the ceremony to commence.
Twilight rubbed the back of her head 'a ceremony, what ceremony! Oh no I don't remember' Twilight thought in a panic and began to sweat a little. "Um yeah the ceremony of course how can I forget ha ha" she stated nervously trying to make it seem like she knew what they were talking about, she didn't put a ceremony of any king on her list.
The room was awkwardly silent in till a certain element of loyalty burst out laughing " bwah ha ha ha Twilight you totally forgot Starlight initiation ceremony didn't you?". RD laughed so hard she fell out of her chair in her laughing fit, Twilight rubbed the back of her head trying to piece this "ceremony" together.
"Someone please remind me what ceremony again?" Twilight's statement only made RD laugh harder making Twilight blush from forgetting something that seems so important.
Rarity giggled at the look of Twilight's flustered face, "well Twilight the ceremony is spose to bring our dear friend Starlight here to become a element of harmony it was your idea after all how did you forget?" Rarity stated with a curious face.
Twilight hooded her self in the face feeling stupid for forgetting it, has it started coming all back to her now, "ooh of course how could I forget sorry Starlight I've just been in a selfish mood lately I'm really sorry, but why didn't you say anything in the hall?" Twilight asked still felling dumb.
Starlight rubbed her left forehoof "well I thought that's why your following me, that and possibly to tease me for my big day" Starlight replied happily.
RD finally calmed down from her laughing fit sat back in her chair and began to get impatient for the ceremony which became clear when she tapped her hoof onto the chair repeadetly. "Ok ok well let's begin then our dear Starlight we welcome you...".
Twilight was cut off by a "Wwwwhhhhaaaaiiiittttt!" by Spike running into the room and down to the the map where he gave Twilight a green looking gem, gold, and a chunk off chrystal. Twilight looked at the stuff Spike gave her then at Spike, he could tell by her face she was asking 'what is this for. Spike happily awnsered "These are the things you need to make Starlight a new element a green gem to represent her element, the element of courage, the gold is for the necklas and the chrystal is a chunk I took from the Tree of Harmony to connect her element to the Tree like all the other elements." Spike awnsered.
The entire room was silent Spike feeling a little awkward from knowing so much about this but then Starlight comforted him by giving him a loving but. "I appreciate your help Spike" Starlight said whith a smile they then broke the hug, Starlight then couldn't help but ask "why does my element have to be green?".
Spike laughed "it's not going to be green it's going to be the color of your cutie Mark just like the other one are".
Starlight rubbed her head confused "but you said that it will be used to represent my element?" Starlight stated
Spike facepalmed "yeah represent I didn't say represent the color just the element", Starlight ohhd in realization of her mistake and nodes to signal for Twilight to continue the ceremony.
Twilight grabbed Spike's "ingrediants" and put them on the map of Equestria. Twilight signals Starlight to hop on the map next to the ingredients where the mane 6 connect hooves and Twilight starts the speech. "For honor, for gold, we bestow the boldiest of them all to welcome to our fold. With the power of friendship and harmony we welcome Starlight Glimmer with open arms to become the Element of Courage, the newest edition to the elements of harmony no longer known has the mane 6 but now the new and improved mane 7". Twilight and the mane 6 began to float has there element came to get her in a rainbow and beamed onto Starlight in a magical aura. It truly was a beautiful sight, the entire castle began to shake and whispers of voices could be heard across the halls and rooms of the castle chanting 'friendship' over and over.
Now all the elements began to speak the last part of the chant, "with the power of Laughter, Loyalty, Honesty, Kindness, Generosity, Magic and Courage come together to form the 7 elements of harmony." The mane six's aura came to get her to form a alicorn silhouette of friendship for the finale, the room got unnaturally dark with the only light being the map and candles, has the chants got louder so did the mane 6, leading to the finale of this ceremony still speaking together they say "Starlight Glimmer you have been chosen to become a new element of harmony will you promise to take your roll seriously, to not abuse your powers and authority for evil or personal motive, to take care of your fellow elements in sick and health, to repect them even after death and to represent your element till death do you part?"
Starlight looked up at the silhouette and spoke clear and assertive "I do!" she awnsered. Has soon has she gave the silhouette her answer she began to float and the gold, gem, crystal circled around her and a bright light began to flash.
The silhouette countinued it's chant "then from this point forward you'll be granted the title 'element of courage' and are now officially a element". After that line the silhouette went quite and began to disperse back into the mane 6 the only sound now was the voices chanting 'friendship', when the flashing light supernovad and the castle stopped shaking, the room lit up to it's natural daylight, the voices stopped also.
After the bright flash of light Starlight came floating down slowly with her new element rapped around her neck. It was gold of course with her cutie mark in the center of the necklace, but it had a unique pattern engraved in it, swirling Chrystal stars across the sides of the necklace that patterned all the way to the back of her necklace. "Uh what happened?" Starlight asked exhausted from the ceremony that drained her magic briefly.
The mane 6 shook their heads to clear the headache away "ow I didn't think that would leave a headache, "RD whined has she stood up and gasped at Starlight's element. "Oh Starlight your element looks so awesome" RD said has she squeezed her cheeks geeking at her friend's necklace.
"Oh um thanks Rainbow I'll take full pride in my title has the element of courage" Starlight said has she held a hoof across her chest taking full pride in her element. The rest of the girls got up and circled Starlight gasping and in aww at there friend's element.
"Hey Twilight wanna see...uh where's Twilight?" Fluttershy asked has she turned her head to see the purple princess and her dragon Spike are nowhere to be seen.
"Huh I guess she must of been in a rush" Starlight replied has if not fazed that Twilight just up and left, Starlight Glimmer huved her friends and thanked them for giving her this oppurtunity. With that Starlight left the castle to try and find Twilight and get the rest of her lessons for the upcoming week.
