A Promise That I'll Keep

It was a nighttime. In a house close to Everfree forest, Scootaloo had just finished watching Power Ponies: return of Mane-iac when she heard a rattling sound from outside. Then there was a loud bang and a yelp. Not again Scootaloo thought.

She rubbed her eyes with her hoof. With a yawn, Scootaloo grabbed an umbrella and crept outside. It was a clear cloudless night sky, the moon at it's fullest phase. Scootaloo went and hid behind the bins while trying to spot the invader. On the other side of the yard she saw that a large winged timber wolf had gotten into to the garbage and was eating leftover chicken. Scootaloo groaned. She leaped out from her hiding spot. The wolf's head shot up, staring at Scootaloo, snarling, it's wings spread in a semi- aggressive stance.

Scowling, Scootaloo yelled at the wolf "Get Back Inside"

The wolf flinched and started backing up toward the open doors of their outdoor basement. Scootaloo advancing, swinging her umbrella at the wolf every time the wolf tried to get past her. Soon the wolf was right on the edge of the doors, The wolf seeing it had no more room to back up, it spread it's wing to their full length preparing to fly over Scootaloo. Scootaloo feeling a warm feeling in her eyes as the changed to one of a wolf. She snarled at the lupine escapee.

Surprised the wolf stumbled backwards and fell into the basement. Scootaloo raced to the doors, but before she could close the doors another wolf leaped out at her. With a surprised yelp, Scootaloo threw her umbrella at her assailant, sending both the umbrella and the wolf back into the hole. As soon as Scootaloo recovered, she closed and locked the basement doors.

The next day

Scootaloo raced down the stairs to the basement quickly unlocking a hidden door behind a curtain.

Behind the door their was two Pegasus, one is an orange stallion with blue/red mane and tail, and the other is a golden mare who has a purple mane with red highlights.

"The chicken taste from last night still hasn't worn off" said her dad, Dusk Flame

"I can't believe you two" said Scootaloo "Breaking out and raiding the bins."

Scootaloo looked down to see her awesome umbrella torn to shreds.

"Aww, come on mom" complained Scootaloo"

five minutes later upstairs in the kitchen

"Your always saying we have to stay hidden from ponies, never give in to our wolf self" Scootaloo ranted "and the moment you get a chance, your out the cellar and away."

"Look darling, you have no idea how powerful the pull of the moon is" said Dad

Amethyst Dawn, Scoots mother started "when your old enough to take wolf form~"

"I won't be a hypocrite, who says stay in and then breaks out at the first whiff of food." finished Scootaloo

Scoot's mom picked up the remains of the ruined umbrella and tossed it into the garbage

"And that chicken, blegh!" said Scootaloo looking disgusted

"Actually, your dads not the only one whose eating things he shouldn't, is he?" said her mother looking at the bag of popcorn Scootaloo had stuffed in the garbage.

"Yes, and you looked wide awake when you came outside, young filly" scold her dad

"Ya, didn't we agree bed at ten on school nights." add her mom

Scootaloo grabbed her bag "I am going to miss the bus, I'm going to have to go now."

"Oh, and don't go hitting me on the nose again." shouted her mom as Scoots left the room

When the filly went grab her umbrella she remembered where it was.

"dang it." Scootaloo then heard the bus honk

She then raced outside trying not to get wet from the morning rain.

At school

The rain had stopped by the time Scootaloo got to school. Eventually Scootaloo found sweetie bell.

"hey scoots what happened to to you wheres your wonder-bolt umbrella." asked Sweetie Belle

"A werewolf ate it." said Scootaloo

"what?"

"Didn't you see the moon last night, it was full."

"Don't you start, I already had this from- " said Sweetie "oh, Apple Bloom"

"Scootaloo" Scootaloo turned to see Apple Bloom approaching "Did you hear it last night on the moors, howling."

"Here, look what I found on the way to school this morning" Apple Bloom reached in to her saddle bag, pulling out her phone.

Scootaloo and Sweetie belle checked the picture. It looked like massive wolf paw.

"I'm going to compare it a paw prints of dogs." said Apple bloom

"Every type of dog?" questioned Sweetie belle

"This is proof sweetie, proof that is something weird out on Everfree moors. I-"

"hey Apple bloom" the cutie mark crusaders turned to see Diamond tiara and Silver spoon coming towards them

"I saw something weird on the moors." said Diamond

"what"  asked Apple bloom

"You" insulted Diamond. Silver spoon laughe

"Haven't you two got mane curlers to play with or something" asked Scootaloo

"humph, Step aside uglies." Diamond responded back and shoved the crusaders out of her way. Silver spoon followed.

"This is ponyville, not gossip mare." shouted sweetie belle

"like whatever" Silver shot back and left

"I'll show Everypony" Apple bloom said to herself and then the crusaders entered the school.

in the hallway at the crusauder's lockers

"aw yes new CMC club members." shouted apple bloom

"finally" said sweetie belle

"Your gonna need a bigger meet room" said Cheerilee coming over.

"what" said sweetie looking confused

"well apparently the Incredible Flutter-Hulk and Super-Mare are both joining your club." read Cheerilee "and that hoof writing is just terrible"

"we're going to get new members." Scootaloo told the teacher "and even if we don't, the CMC club is still apart of school life."

" we could fund clubs that involve a cross section of ponies, you have three members and these two-" Cheerilee pointed at apple bloom and sweetie belle "-only joined to make you happy."

"that is not true" disagreed apple bloom

" we did the photos on the official archive of the hoof-ball team." said sweetie belle

"and helped out the zoological society" shouted apple bloom

"what is that" asked Cheerilee "look, I'm glad you all have passions, but that does not entitle you to a room on school premises to use as your own privat den."

"you have until tomorrow morning to find three new members or else I'm closing you down." Cheerilee turned and walked away

Apple bloom grabbed their poster. "when I find who did this-"

Scootaloo stopped listening to her friend and started using her wolf senses to try to listen for their culprit.

"good job snips,"

"yeah it serves her right, right Snails"

"Yeah, stupid club"

Scootaloo snarled "Snips and Snails"

Surprised, Apple bloom asked "How did you know it was them?"

whoops Scootaloo thought.

"well, who else has hoof-writing that bad." Scootaloo quickly answered. "come on." Scootaloo started toward the direction of their class room.

It was then she caught a familiar but yet unfamiliar scent in the air. hmm. thought Scootaloo it sort of smells like mom and dad but different, unless.

Leaving her friends behind. Scootaloo raced after the scent, through the hallway down a flight of stair but lost it in a crowd of people.

"Every pony this is Scarlet Angel, who I'm guessing is from Celtico!"

"no" replied Scarlet Angel

Every pony laughed.

"OK, he's not from Celtico" said the teacher

Scootaloo looked at the colt. He was a white Pegasus with a with a scarlet, white, and gold mane. His cutie mark was a black feather next a black paw print. He had a pair of black/red headphone hanging on his head.

The colt had a familiar scent to him, sort of like her mother and father. And then Scootaloo realized that this Silver Angel had the same scent from the hallway.

But that means... That means he's another wolfblood!
