Doing Dirty Work

"Hello!"A squeaky pony hollered.

Ambrosia had reached Ponyville and apparently fallen asleep on a bench.

"You look funny."The pony added.

Ambrosia looked up to see a pink pony with bouncy hot pink hair. The pony also had three small balloons marked on her flank.

"Hello."Ambrosia greeted as she rubbed her sleepy eyes.

"Get up silly filly!"The pony coaxed.

Ambrosia slowly sat up and sleepily stared at the pony.

"Oh where are my manners? My name is Pinkameana Dianne Pie,Pinkie for short!"The pony introduced herself.

"I am Que---."Ambrosia rembered she was no longer a ruler."My name is Ambrosia."

"Nice to meet ya!"Pinkie said as she shook Ambrosia's hoof forcefully.

Ambrosia already liked Pinkie. She was warm and friendly. Beastly she didn't a re that Ambrosia was a changeling.

"Hey do I know you from-?"Pinkie asked until Ambrosia interrupted.

"No.I would've rembered such a PINK-tastic pony."Amborsia recited one of her jokes.

"Hilarious!"Pinkie exclaimed giggling.

Thus was so strange. No one ever laughed at Ambrosi'a joke. The usual reaction was simply a cold shoulder.

"So where can I get a bit to eat?"Ambrosai politely asked.

"Ooh! I know!"Pinkie exclaimed as she grabbed Ambrosia and raced through the town.

Ponyville wasn't beautiful it was magnificent! The colors were variant depending on what home you looked at. Everyone in the town was different.

To blend in Ambrosia morphed into a pony she saw that appealed to her.

"How did ya do that?"Pinkie asked.

Shoot! She must've noticed.

No one on the street really noticed. Most of them were busy or just plain lazy with sight.

"It's a magic spell."Ambrosia lied.

"You look a lot like Lyra..only with a black coat and yellow mane."Pinkie commented.

"Yeah. Lyra's hair just appealed to me." This time it was the truth.

"Okie dokie lokie!"Pinkie agreed.

Ambrosia had never heard that word,but she for sure liked it!

"So...."Pinkie began."Where ya from?"

"The Badlands."Ambrosia answered.

"So you must be from Dodge Junction?"

Ambrosia just nodded. It wasn't technically lying if she nodded.

"Anyways here we are!"Pinkie exclaimed as her pink hoof pointed to an odd house.

It looked like the Wedding Cake at Cadence's wedding. The roof looke like frosting and the colors looked sweet and soft. The best part was a sign with what appeared to be bread on it. Only the bread had pink changeling goop on it (once again don't ask) The whole general building was amazing;like everything in the town.

"Welcome to Sugar Cube Corner!"Pinkie said as she lead Ambrosia into the delicious smelling cottage.

When Ambrosia and Pinkie stepped in they heard a voice,"Welcome."

The voice came from a stout little blue pony with a pink changeling goop like hair. She wore a yellow apron and huge hit pink earrings. This pony also had an odd marking in her flank.

"I'm Mrs.Cake!"The pony kindly introduced herself."Hiw may I help you new pony?"

Ambrosia didn't speak but looked at Pinkie.

"She is kind of slow."Pinkie joked."Jut get us two cupcakes."

"Right away Pinkie."Mrs.Cake said as she waddled over to the counter.

Ambrosia looked around the room. The changeling goop bread was on pictures and all sorts of things. It must be some religious symbol,Ambrosia thought to herself.

"Here ya are!"Mrs.Came exclaimed as she handed Pinkie a plate with the two "breads" on it.

"Eat up!"Pinkie told Ambrosia as she popped one into her mouth.

Ambrosia picked the other one up and bit it.

Mind blown!

It was the most interesting taste ever! Sweet creamy....it was delicious.

"Can I have another?" Ambrosia whispered to Pinkie.

Mrs.Cake must've overheard and gave Ambrosia a plate.

Immediately Ambrosia popped one in her mouth. It was even more delicious!

Ambrosia was about to ask for another but Pinkie said,"Woah better watch your calories!"

Calories?

"Okay."Amborisia obeyed. There must be a good reason why.

It was just such a good experience.

Yet deep down Ambrosia sort of missed home.

"You can stay here for the night."Pinkie offered."My apartment is right upstairs."

"Okay."Ambrosia agreed.

Pinkie showed Ambrosia the room.

"This is Gummy."Pinkie said as she picked up a baby alligator.

"Awww."Ambrosia reacted.

"Hmmm most people would scream and run like a maniac."Pinkie then let the little gator run around on the ground.

The alligator just stood there and licked it's big purple eye.Eww!

"You can sleep in the air mattress."Pinkie told Ambrosia as she tried to pull a mattress out of the closet.

Pinkie was really generous and kind. Was this how it was? Was it okay to hug even?

Ambrosia didn't know and wanted to find out. Later though.

"Little help!"Pinkie called. She was stuck under the mattress which has fallen on top of her.

Ambrosia raced over and lifted the mattress up and set is aside.

"Thanks buddy!"Pinkie thanked her.

Buddy?

"Your welcome...pal!"Ambrosia responded cheerfully.

Pinkie smiled.

This was a strange little town. A strange little town indeed,but it was better than Hive.
