In A Dash

It was peaceful, breezy day in Ponyville. Ponies prancing around town, and pegasi taking their day off. The breeze rustled in the leaves, through the trees, and birds chirped a melody. Everypony was enjoying the wonderful sunshine, and the sound of squirrels chattering, being fed some grains.

     Rainbow Dash lay peacefully on a puffy cloud, enjoying the view. She yawned, covering her mouth with a hoof, then smiling to herself. A few birds flew by and Rainbow didn't seem to mind. She looked dowwn to see her two best friends, chatting with each other.

     In a burst of speed, she dashed down to say hi.

"Hey, guys! Awesome weather, huh?" Rainbow said, smiling. Twilight and Pinkie Pie turned around, smiling back. Pinkie bounced up and down, her smile making anypony sick from looking.

"Yepperooni, Dashie, and I just found this totally awesome magazine, lying in the middle of like, nowhere!" She said, still bouncing, and maybe even higher.

    Rainbow shot a look, then read the front cover.

"Flight lessons for Under-trained Mares. What am I gonna do with this?" Rainbow said, flatly. Pinkie giggled, and finally stopped bouncing.

     She looked at Rainbow Dash innocently, not knowing her reaction.

"Oh, Dashie, I thought you'd like some more practice in flying, so I went out of my way to get this for you!"

Pinkie gave a *squee* and waited for Rainbow to answer.

     Twilight was rubbing her head, hiding her face with a wing, afraid to see Rainbow's reaction.

Rainbow Dash stared, her jaw dropped.

"W-wha? I thought you said you found it in the middle of nowhere!"

"In the middle of a DUMPSTER, I meant! It smelled like pie!" Pinkie said, remebering that old, moldy slice of pumpkin pie left in that dumpster. Rainbow didn't seem happy though, but she did speak it out.

"Oh, yeah, lazybones? Well this filly's the best flyer around, and you? Nothin' but a lousy earth pony!"

She said. Pinkie jumped up in anger, loudly gasping, then getting back to the ground.

"Oh, yeah, Professor Ego? Well I know how to plan a totally awesome party, and you don't know SQUAT!"

"Oh, yeah, pink flank? I've got a reputation!"

"Oh, yeah, Butterfingers, I've got one, too!"

"Oh, yeah? What's a finger?!"

"Oh, yeah? I DON'T KNOW?!"

"OH YEAH?!"

"OH YEAH?!" The two continued the name-calling, as Twilight backed away, slowly, then teleported off into nowhere.

"Hmm... I smell pie..."

Rainbow and Pinkie panted after a good twenty minutes of quarreling. They narrowed their eyes, and got ready to fight again... until they almost fainted.

"Okay......I got a..... totally fair...... *gasp* plan... GAH, I can't breathe!"

"What's it, Dashie?"

"Okay, we switch our jobs fro the day, and the one who fails, gets thrown in the dumpster."

"Hmm... Okie dokie lokie.... BUT.....but first, how do I get wings? I'm an earth pony!"

"Uhh... Twilight's spell, duh!"

"Alrighty, but what do we do?"

"Ugh, aint it obvious? You fly with wonderbolts, I plan parties. Easy peasy, Cider squeasy!"

"Um, okay... OOH Does that mean I get wings?"

"Uh, didn't we just do over this?"

"Go over what?"

*Facehoof*

Rainbow and Pinkie trotted to the Hay Burger, seeing Twilight, Derpy, Scootaloo, and Fluttershy there. They were talking and eating a burger, then they noticed the two.

"Uh, hey, girls... hehe.. uh, take a seat?" Twilight nervously asked.

      Rainbow sat next to Twilight, and Pinkie was next the Fluttershy and Scootaloo. Rainbow was first to speak.

"UHH, Twi, Pinkie needs wings."

Rainbow said, giggling as she watched Twilight spit take.

"WHAT? I'M sorry, but I don't think I heard you right. Well, I gotta go- gah!" Rainbow yanked Twilight's tail with her teeth, giving her a look.

      Twilight sat back down and sighed.

"Let me guess: You girls had a fight, soon got tiered, and agreed on a bet, so one of you would end up getting payback for insulting the other, am I correct?" Twilight asked.

"Wow, you're probably more psychic than Pinkie Flank."

"Are not!"

"Are, too!"

"ARE NOT!!!!" Pinkie yelled, the whole fast-food restaurant staring.

"Ugh, I can't take anymore! Just let me do it if you be QUIET FOR CELESTIA'S SAKE!" Twilight yelled. Fluttershy mumbled something about Pinkie under her breath, then folded her hooves. Scootaloo shook her head as if she wished Rainbow had duck tape on her muzzle.

      "OMIGOSHOMIGOSHOMIGOSHHHH! Dashie, I got wings, like you! Best. Day. EVER!" Pinkie said, overjoyed. Rainbow then wondered if this was the final day in Equestria, where the most insane, crazy,, physic earth pony, gets wings... She ran over to get a bucket, throwing up in it. Pinkie giggled, then ran outside, trying to fly.

    She unfurled her wings and started flapping wildly, soon hovering. She gasped in joy then tried to get down some tricks that she noted other pegasi and Rainbow Dash doing. Speaking of Rainbow Dash, she was pretty excited to start baking. She never had done so in her entire life.

        She snatched a list of ingredients the Cakes had written for her.

"Okay.. One: Flour. Easy!" Rainbow trotted outside, picking a bundle of daisies in her mouth. She brought them inside, then put it in a large bowl.

"Next, I need wheat germ. Hmmm how could I germs...OHH!" Rainbow once again went outside, collecting a bucket of earthworms.

"Next, baking soda." Rainbow retrieved a bottle of soda, dumping it over the other things.

    Pinkie started flying through the air, the breeze in her mane and new pair of wings. She crashed into a tree or cloud every so often, but she didn't care. It was fun! She saw a group of pegasi, and decided to join them.

"Hi!" She said, startling them.  The group turned in shock to see a winged party pony, hovering next to them.

"Cool, Pinkie, you got wings! Hey, want a race? It'll be awesome!" One stallion said. Pinkie accepted.

      Rainbow had a smelly bucket of random objects, and she was proud of it. She read the liist of the last ingredients, and then read it.

"Two teaspoons of salt." Rainbow dash got a large soup spoon and filled it with salt. She dumped it in, then got another serving of it. She mixed it then put it in cupcake cups and read that she had to have it bake for 20 minutes. By the first five, she fell asleep on the counter top.

     Pinkie zipped towards the finish line, but the other pegasi caught up, then beat her.

"Rematch." Pinkie called, then the started again. Pinkie was this close again, but got distracted by a butterfly landing of her nose.

"Rematch." She called, once again. This time, pinkie did it backwards, and lost, big time.

"Rematch!" She asked, then this time, Pinkie flew the wrong way, not even noticing until she heard the call of victory from a Wonderbolt mare.

"Reamatch!"

"ReMaTcH..."

"REMATCH!"

    Rainbow woke up, two hours later, then opened the oven with oven mitts on her hooves. It was mostly burnt, with a dry worm sticking out of one. She sniffed it, almost loosing it, then grinned. She invited her friends to go to town-hall, and she put up banners and balloons, and bought a three layer cake from a nearby market.

    Pinkie did a loop-de-loop in mid air, as she flew her way to town hall. Twilight flew along side her, complementing her tricks. The two arrived at town-hall, shocked at the beautiful sight of decorations and lights, and ponies dancing to music. Most ponies were there, and even the rest of the Wonderbolts.

     Pinkie, Twilight, and Rainbow stared at each other for a while, soon breaking out into laughter.  Twilight eyed two familiar stallions and a mare, then some other ponies coming towards them.

"Have a cupcake! Rainbow baked them!" Misty asked, a tray of cupcakes in her hooves. Twilight took one, then the other two.

"BLEACH! WHAT DID YOU PUT IN THIS! AHHH THE TASTE, GAHH!" Pinkie said. Twilight fainted, her hooves in the air, knocked out. Rainbow nervously laughed, pointing into the cupcake. The ponies flying with Pinkie came down, one with an ice bag on her head, and another with a bandage on his wing. The other one has wearing a cast on his hoof, so he hovered.

   "Please, I beg of you, RIP THE WINGS OFF THIS HORSE!"

"She's mad! Save us! SOS!"

"I'm in PAINNNN!" They said, words toppling over the other. Rainbow and Pinkie smiled, and started laughing.
