Canterlot Castle
Stella POV
What is Azrael thinking?!? I watched as he challenged Drago, the dragon king mind you, to a battle to the death. I don't know if he's just being cocky or just a strait up fool. Drago might be an incompetent dimwit, but he is still a very capable warrior that has the skill and power to destroy an entire army by himself. True Azrael has incredible power, but he will need more than that to defeat Drago. He'll need strategy. He'll need skill. He'll need allies to help him. HE'LL NEED-!

Well that was...I...I have no words. There Drago was, impaled on a ten foot steel pole going through his rear end and out his mouth. Beside him was Azrael, nonchalantly dusting of his hands as he whistles a carefree tune. I looked to the dragon army, then I looked to my companions, and they all had the same look I had.

I expected Drago to put up more of a fight, with the staff he has, he has as much more magical power than I have, if not more; and for him to be defeated in such a brutal and humiliating way was scary to say the least.
"Is it wrong that I'm severely arouse right now?" Hurricane asked, making all present in the room to slowly turn to her and just stare at her like she just grew a second head. "What?"
Azrael POV
Well that was pathetic. I wasn't expecting a difficult fight considering his low his power level was (Yes I scanned him first. What? You thought that I would bet something as important as the safety of my new home without knowing what I was getting into? Oh you non believers you. That's cute.) I looked to my soldiers and they all simultaneously gave me a thumbs up...or is it claws up in their case. I then looked to the dragons and they had a look on their faces that just made me laugh. After a few minutes, the dragon that was at Drago's side earlier walked towards the body of his dead king. When he got close enough, he picked up Drago's staff; making me power up an energy ball in my hand. To my surprise however, he got on his knees and offered the staff to me.
"This belongs to you now, my lord." after he said that, all the dragons followed his lead and got on their knees.
Ohhh that's right, if I win I take his place as their leader...Wait. "How are you so calm and collected right now? I just killed your leader."
"He was a weak insufferable fool, we only followed him because he inherited the right to command us from his father, a wise former king. If it wasn't because of that, we would have killed him a long time ago." he said without raising his head.
"And your all ok with me just being your king? Just like that?" I asked.
He now raised his head before speaking, "We dragons an honorable race, and we honor our deals."
"That's not what I've heard. I heard that you are elitist assholes that think that your all better than the rest of the races."
"No, that Drago and his high council. They abandoned our ways and traditions for lands and riches. Some tried to reason with them, only to be silenced afterwards."
"But what about me? How do you know that I won't be the same as Drago? I mean I'm not even a dragon."
"The staff, it will tell us what kind of individual you are."
"What do you mean?"
"The staff that you see is just a base form. Upon contact, the staff will transform into a tool suiting the wielder and retain that form until the wielder's death. However, it will only change for the worthy. If it transforms, then we'll have all the proof that you are worthy of the role. As you could have seen, the staff "
Wow...ok. The test is very simple, yet also very effective in seeing if their ruler is going to be crappy or not. Taking a deep breath, I slowly reached for the staff. When I finally took the staff...nothing happened. The amount of disappointment in the air actually hurt. Well...I guess I'm not so good after all-OH MY GOD THAT'S BRIGHT.
The staff suddenly started to glow very brightly, blinding all present. When we opened our eyes, we were shocked by what we saw. The staff's handle was now looked like a skeletal spine with it getting darker in color as you look down. On the top was a dragon skull with a scythe blade coming out the back.

Well...that happened. I then looked to the dragons, they were all bowing at my feet. "Ummm." what do I even say in this situation? The one I talked to earlier stood up and put his hand to his chest.
"My lord, you have proven yourself worthy of the title of dragon king. My name is Leonidas, General of the drake legions...or whats left of them. Do with us what you will." after his speech the rest of the dragons stood up and followed his actions.
Ok, now I really don't know what to say. However, before I could say anything, a sentinel dropped in front of me and "glared" at the dragons.
"We do not approve. Azrael is our leader." he received a round of acknowledgment from the rest of the sentinels. The sentinel in question is actually my closest adviser, Jarvis. I named him after one of my favorite marvel characters, and he had no issue with that; in fact, he finds it a form of honor.
"Regardless, he is now our new king, so slither away creature." Leonidas challenged Jarvis, making the dragons chuckle; only to clam up when the sentinels went back into attack mode. The two factions started to bicker and shove each other, each side claiming that I am their leader.
"Alright that's enough!" I shouted, shutting them both up. "Sigh, look Leonidas. I'm honored to be your king, really I am. But I already have people I need to look after." I said handing the scythe to Leonidas, he didn't take it however.
"I understand, however there is no way to revers what's been done. The staff has chosen you, making you our new king until your death."
"So there is really no way around this?" he shook his head.
"I'm sorry, but no." I sighed and thought for a moment, thinking of what to do.
"Alright, I guess I have no choice. But I can't come with you right now, I still have things to do here. So let's do this, Jarvis."
"Yes sir?" he asked.
"I want you to go with them, you will be my eyes and ears until I can come there myself." I looked to Leonidas. "I can communicate and give orders through Jarvis for now. Are you alright with this?"
He thought for a moment before nodding. "Alright." I said and shook his hand before they flew back to their home with Jarvis following them.
Later In The Throne Room
I walked in to the throne room and was knocked to the ground by Luna giving me a flying bear hug. "Your back! I'm so happy your safe!" she said as she nuzzled into my chest.
I smiled and stood up as I caressed her hair with my hand. I looked to the others in the room and they had looks that screamed "I don't know what just happend."
"Azrael, pardon my language but...what the fuck was that?" she asked.
Wow, I didn't know they knew that word. I simply smiled, "I have no fucking idea." they all gave me deadpanned expression.
"Now." I said, "Can I have a sandwich for breakfast please?"
Author's Note
Hi guys! First of, sorry to those who expected an epic fight sequence like the one against Stella. I had a fight in mind, however I decided to not use it the idea. The reason for this is because, (As of this chapter) I don't have many different fight sequences in mind currently since I'm still new at writing, so I have to ration the fights I have currently. Also I didn't want to waste a good fight on Drago, he was an idiot, I also thought it would be funny. As much as I would love to have an epic battle every chapter, I want to keep every fight unique and different from each other, wouldn't want to see the same fight twice now would we. (Also keep in mind I'm writing other stories with fights in them so that's another reason.) Don't worry, there this won't happen again, however if enough people say that they want a fight then I'll edit the chapter or add a different version of this chapter soon.
