Shark Attack!

Applejack is just sitting with her back up against the wall. Just waiting for you and Alaina to head back.

She heard you surface as she quickly gets up to help you up.

“Are you alright?”

“I’m okay.”

You take Applejack’s help as she reaches out for you.

“Where’s Alaina?” You look at her as you shake your head trying to catch your breath.

Applejack looks at the water when all she could see was flaming debris falling from above.

“Dammit Alaina.” Applejack says as she flops back against the wall.

“Come on. Let’s go.” You said as you got up. “ I almost became food for that shark.”

“What happened?” Applejack asks as she gets up and follows you.

“That shark fucking grabbed her and ate her. Until it finally came after me.” You said as You and Applejack went downstairs, and enter another room.

“Wait. Where are we going?” Applejack asks.

“I have no idea.” You said. “I have no idea what’s the layout of this place.”

“Oh great.” She says as she enters the room with you. Applejack goes another direction as she gets on what looks like a little place that’s not water level.

“Hey, a map.” You said as you slowly walk to it. Hoping the shark won’t hear you. “Okay, I think we’re here.” You point attempting to read the map. “I have a feeling we should go up here if we take the stairs it shouldn’t take too long. What do you think Aj?” You said as you get no response. You turn around as you see Applejack with a terrifying look on her face.

“Aj, what’s wrong?” You ask as she points at the water. There. You see a dorsal fin slowly surface.

“RUN!” Applejack screams as the shark begins to charge at you. You quickly head for a table that’s behind a fallen shelf. The shark’s head pops up as you kicked the shelf at him.

The shark backs up as he rams you again. Knocking you off the table.

“NO!” Applejack screams as you got up. The shark’s snout hits you as you’re being pushed back up against the wall.

“FUCK!” You screamed as you’re scared of being eaten.

You try to push the shark back as you begin to pound it’s snout with your elbow as hard as you can. The shark only backs away as you quickly head to that wooden table.

The shark swims to you again. However, you jumped over that table only for the shark to bite at. You climb at another table that’s just above water.

You remained there and stood still as the shark starts to swim in the opposite direction, away from you and Applejack.

You couldn’t take your eyes off of the shark that’s swimming around. You begin to feel something that’s right beside you. Looking around you spot another set of breakers, each of them labeled telling you what goes to which system.

Knocking a few holes into the wall around the box you see an electrical cable running into it providing energy for the breakers to transfer. Looking down at the water a thought pops into your head. You start searching for something to protect yourself while you pull the cable out.

It wasn’t long till you spotted a set of cleaning supplies, among the chemicals, scrubs, and towels you find a set of rubber gloves. They weren’t as thick as you hopped them to be, but in this situation you hoped that they might work

You grab the cord as you begin tugging on it trying to rip a good length of it out. Hearing electrical sounds coming from it with each jerk you give it, soon enough as the cord starts coming out the power keeping the lights on soon goes out.

“Uh… What’re you doin’?!” Applejack asks knowing that any further action was basically suicide at this point.

As the last bit of the cable rips off the connection you nearly lose your balance as you see it spark a little, carefully you start ripping more of the cable out of the wall. Once you have the length you want you try to find a way to draw the shark’s attention toward you.

Looking down you see a piece of wood floating in the water. Gently you kneel down so the wire won't hurt you as you reach for the floating plank. Once you have a good hold on the board you lift it out of the water, carefully you let the cable dangle off the edge of the table as you begin beating on it to grab the shark’s attention.

Applejack cries out your name, “The hell are you doin’?!?”

You don’t respond as you keep beating the table while you look at the shark. In one swift motion it turns around and starts to swim right to you.

“HE’S HEADED RIGHT FOR YA!!” Applejack screams as you stop pounding the table and get in position.

“Alright ya big bastard! I got something for ya now!” You shout as the shark keeps swimming to you.

“GET OUTTA THERE!” Applejack screams.

“COME ON! That’s it.” You groan with a crazed look in your eyes.

The shark gets closer as it’s head slowly surfaces out of the water. He opens his mouth as you can hear Applejack scream. As the shark got closer with its head out of the water, and mouth wide open… You aim the cable carefully wanting to ensure that you didn’t miss your mark…

“SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!” You screamed thrusting the exposed end of the cable into the shark’s mouth at the moment it jumped towards you.

The shark begins thrashing around violently in the water while it’s being electrocuted. You and Applejack shield your eyes from the bright lights, soon enough you smell the carcase of the shark roasting from with in.

Finally, after thirty seconds. You look again as the shark is now just floating in the water. Applejack calls out your name multiple times as she’s completely scared.

“Are you alright? Is it over?! Please tell me you’re not dead!”

“I’m okay Applejack!” You said as she looks at you from across the room.

You carefully step into the water testing to see if any of it was electrically charged, once you felt it was safe you calmly walked up to the shark. You gave it a light punch to make sure that it’s not unconscious.

Staring at the motionless carcase you place your hand on it only to feel how hot it was, clearly the shark was dead.

“Alright Aj, it’s okay. It’s dead.”

“A-Are you sure?”

“I’m positive.”

Applejack slowly gets in the water as she walks to you. You both look at the dead shark for a few heartbeats. Until it’s time to leave.

“Come on. Let’s get outta here.”

Applejack agrees as she follows you to wherever you’re going.

You and Applejack enter a room that’s not flooded. However, you know this little room. Thunderbolt showed you and Applejack when he took you two on a tour the day after your arrival.

“Okay, I remember Thunderbolt telling me that this room can be easily flooded with this handle. So… We shouldn’t be too far from the surface.” Your optimism is faint at best, but after your little tussle with the shark what more could you ask for?

“What about the other shark?” Applejack asks.

“Well if I remember the tour right, they said that the sharks are attracted to bright colors. So… I got this.” You claim breaking open the glass case containing the ‘BC’ class fire extinguisher. “I think this will buy us time to get to the surface. We’ll use these lifejackets to help us get up there easier if that other shark doesn’t get us. Also, an extra life jacket for the extinguisher” You said as you place one on the extinguisher.

Applejack looks at you in a nervous way as she sighs. She looks at the chrome coating on the extinguisher hoping it would do the trick.

“I know it’s probably not the best idea. But, I really hope you’re right about this.” She grabs a life vest and puts it on.

You do the same as you put the fire extinguisher to the side. You reach for the handle and look at Applejack.

“Ready?”

Applejack nods. You turn the handle in a fast pace until it stops turning. You turn around and look at Aj as the room begins to quickly flood. You held out your hands for Aj.

“Together?”

Applejack grabs your hands.

“Together!”

She smiles at you as your heads are above water and that you’re now getting closer and closer to the door that’s keeping all the water out.

“Okay. Take a deep breath when I say!” You said as Applejack nods her head. When you’re finally at the ceiling.

“Ready? NOW!”

You both took a deep breath as the room fills to the brim with water showing no clear signs of pockets of air. You opened the vault like door that would keep the water out knowing it was now the best time to open it. You grab the fire extinguisher bringing it with you for a distraction for if and when the shark shows itself.

So far the life vests are working rather well bringing the two of you up to the surface at a decent pace. You look down as you’re getting further and further away from the room you both just exited steadily reaching the surface. All of a sudden, a giant shadow appears from below, you know full well it’s her coming for the two of you.

The thirty foot shark comes in from below as you feel Applejack pull you in closer upon seeing the behemoth of a creature. Looking down you toss the Extinguisher to the side it’s glistening chrome drawing the shark’s attention, reflecting what little light shined upon it. She grabs the fire extinguisher as she starts to swim around gnawing away at it trying to rip it open.

Finally, you and Applejack surface as you both gasped for air. For a moment the two of you smile at the light of the early day, only for your thoughts to quickly return to the issue of your location.

“Hurry, go!” You said as you and Applejack starts swimming to the dock.

Eventually, you both got there just in time. The fire extinguisher must worked really well, or at the least you hoped it harmed the shark with its violent release of the inner pressure.

“Wow. You were right. I guess that fire extinguisher did work after all.” Applejack said catching her breath. “You did it.” Applejack places her hand on your shoulder.

Until you hear the fence being rammed into by her.

“What’s it doing?” Applejack asks as she can see the shark thrashing around to break the fence.

“Don’t tell me.”

“What is it?”

“I think… When Alaina did that brain cell thing to those sharks. It looks like I know the answer to the rittle. It looks like… That’s what a six thousand pound shark thinks of. About freedom. About the deep blue sea.” You said.

“Oh my god.” Applejack mumbles. “What can we do?”

“We kill her.” You said as you face her.

“If that’s what you think is best. Let’s kill her.”

You and Applejack quickly get up as you ran to a storage room where Thunderbolt showed you. You see a harpoon gun with some harpoons and some sticks of dynamite.

You don’t even want to think where they get the dynamite. But, you also see a car battery in there.

“Applejack, help me with this!” You shout grabbing what you can carry as Applejack gathers the rest. You’re on a high level where you would be safer from the shark.

You grab the harpoon gun out with the sticks of dynamite. You begin tying two sticks to each harpoon followed by a length of electric wire to the sticks of dynamite.

“Okay, so the plan is we shoot the shark with the harpoon. And once the shark has been stuck by it we hook up the wire to the jumper cable. We then hook it up to the positive side of the battery. And boom.” You demonstrate.

“Sounds like a plan.” Applejack agrees tying down another set of dynamite.

You hear another loud ram causing the two of you to worry, looking to where it’s coming from as the shark’s still trying it’s best to break through. Where it’s trying to break through is only across the bridge. However, the bridge doesn’t look like it’s in good condition from that explosion.

“Come on, it’s only across that bridge there. If we cross it, we’ll be able to get her.” Applejack says as she grabs the harpoon gun. “Come on.”

You and her charge across the bridge. However, Applejack got through fine. As you began to cross the weakened bridge crumbled into the waters below.

You held into the railing as you start falling hoping you could pull yourself up, sadly the moisture on your hands made caused the pole to slip through your grasp. Falling once again you catch the cement only a foot lower than where you were, your hand hits something sharp tearing into you causing you to grunt and groan as you hold on for life.

“FUCK! My hand!” You screamed struggling to pull yourself up only for you to discover you’ve started to bleed.

You watch as your blood slowly collects and begins to pool at the edge of the broken slab, you know time is not on your side as you rush to climb up. Applejack calls you your name to get you attention just as you have the edge of the cement in your armpit. You look up at her frightened to know any number of drops of blood could have fallen at this point.

“Are you alright?”

“My hand! Pull me up, hurry!” You said as you take your sore hand and try to reach her.

Applejack tries to reach for you as your overall weight starts to become too much for you to lift, the events of the night before have more than taken their toll. And even with adrenaline pumping through your veins your stamina wanes with each little inch you try to hold onto.

“No! Aj! I’M SLIPPING! HELP!”

“Hang on!” Applejack’s hand is almost to yours. “Just a little…”

Suddenly, you slipped as you begin falling into the water.

“NO!” Applejack screams as you splash into the water.

You surfaced as you catch your breath wincing to the sting of the water touching your open wound.

“Applejack!”

“Hang on! Come over here, hurry!” She screams as she’s right above a ladder. She looks to her right as she sees the shark swim to you.

“Come on, hurry!” She screams. “GET OUT OF THE WATER!” You look back as you see the shark head straight to you as it smelled your blood the moment you landed in the water.

“Come on, hurry!” Applejack screamed.

You grabbed the cement ladder only for the ladder bar to break as you try to climb up. You fall back into the water only to watch as the bar sinks to the bottom. Slowly you look up scared this was it, as your eyes look straight ahead you see the shark has it’s mouth wide open right in front of you.

You quickly head up to the surface as best as you can. The shark charges at you as she tries to grab you. In a stroke of nothing more than luck she misses and you find yourself riding her dorsal fin. Now… It’s Applejack’s go.

Applejack gets in position as she takes the harpoon gun, and loads it with the dynamite filled spear.

“Okay. One shot.” She mumbles to herself as she sees the shark, and you rise up to the surface.

From how fast the shark’s swimming Applejack can’t aim at it too well worried that she would hit you instead. She sees you surface as the shark’s dorsal fin surfaces with you.

“SHOOT HER, APPLEJACK! SHOOT HER, HURRY!” You scream to her.

“One shot.”

Applejack pulls the trigger to the harpoon gun. It hits the shark’s dorsal fin. But, it went through and cuts you. You screamed from the pain as the shark bucks from the harpoon knocking you off.

“Damn!” Applejack said to herself as she knew from the screams of pain she had hit you as well.

Seeing the harpoon is stuck in the shark Applejack begins to prepare to blow her up.

“APPLEJACK! BLOW IT! THE BATTERY! BLOW IT!” You scream as Applejack grabs the cable.

She waits as she watches the cable wire follow the shark. Carefully following the line she watches as the shark starts to submerge.

“DO IT!” You scream fearful of the shark’s incoming attack.

As the shark submerges, you can see an opening of the fence that the shark made. Swimming through the open hole you know for the time being you are safe. Breathing a sigh of relief you are startled as the shark slams into the fence trying to get to you.

Applejack sees the shark slowly widening the hole forcing its way out. She takes the cable, and attaches it to the battery. A large explosion is seen underwater as it creates a big splash. Blood and flesh fly into the air.

“YES!” Applejack screams as she killed the shark.

Looking around you find a concret ladder built into the side of the wall. As you start to climb Applejack calls out to you to grab your attention.

“Applejack! Hold up, I’ll be right there!” You call out alerting her to your location as you struggle to make your way up.

Applejack rushes over to help you climb up. She sees where she probably hit you with the harpoon on your leg. Applejack sits down next to you.

“Thirty foot shark. You hit me. Nice.” You jokingly proclaim while catching your breath.

“Well, I couldn’t let her eat you alive now, can I?” She said as she playfully punches you.

“Hehe, yeah.” You said.

“Hey,” Applejack said grabbing your attention. “Are you sure it’s just two sharks?”

“Yeah.” Was your response.

“Oh, okay.”

You and Applejack sit there for a second. Until a boat horn is heard.

“Oh my god. Look who’s coming.” Applejack points at the boat.

“Oh shit. It’s dad with Twilight, Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity. Let me tell you something Aj. I don’t wanna ever come back here ever again.” You said as you and Aj stand up and help one another lip towards the dock.

“Just take me back home.” She mumbles.

“You got it.”
