I live in a tree cottage on the outskirts of Ponyville. I have many animal friends, and five pony friends. Today, my friend Twilight came over, saying that she had something really, really important for me to do.    Twilight came into my house not too long ago, and sat on the dining table chair, and excited look on her face. It always made my happy to see my friends happy, so I smiled back. She started explaining that she had an important job for me to do.       I poured us a cup of hot cinnamon tea as Twilight spoke. I almost overflowed it when I got all caught up and distracted by the subject. I sat down, listening, then passing her a cup of tea and some sugar cubes.       "So, uh... would you be interested in it? I'm not forcing you to do it, I want your opinion. I just think it could be great! You'd get to discover new creatures and cultures, and I get to learn more about..... things! I can't wait!" She said.          I was pretty interested now. I accepted it and we planned to meet tomorrow morning for the meeting. I decided to hire a pet-sitter for most of my animals. I don't think even Discord could handle such a mess. Of course, I must bring some animals with me. Oh! Maybe Twilight could come along, too!      It's the next day, and I have just eaten breakfast. I can't simply be late, oh, I couldn't! Letting down my friends would be a living nightmare! It gives my the shivers just thinking about it. Maybe until it's time to go, I could spend a little time drawing....      I like drawing anime ponies. I never told anypony except Pinkie Pie who secretly does the same. Sometimes I draw birds and trees and lions, and sometimes... I just relax. It's almost time to go, but there's never such thing as being too late.... or is there?       I arrived at Twilight's castle and knocked at the door. She greeted me with a warm smile, then invited me inside. I saw Apple Jack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Spike sitting on the thrones in the..... throne room. I sat in mine as Twilight got into her's. She then explained my whole journey around Equestria and beyond. If I had fingers, I would have crossed them in hope that Twilight would mention coming along with me. Soon she did. She said she would join for certain parts, but she would use a powerful radio system to talk to me while I was gone.     I went upstairs and trotted through the hallways. I searched for the bedroom, then I found it. I saw the portal, sitting there..... unused. Who would put a portal in a bedroom? I decided to go inside. I read a note, full of scientific words I couldn't understand, so I left it and jumped inside. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "What is that thing?"       "I.......I'm not sure..."   "Hey, It kinda looks like you!"              I woke up in a strange place. Everything seemed to spin, since I hit my head to hard on the solid ground. When everything slowed, what I saw shocked me. I saw real.LIVE.HUMANS. My mouth hung open, I couldn't talk, only squeak. I tried to talk, but I was too afraid.      One looked like me. Just like me! She had yellow fur- um, skin and pink mane... I mean hair. Her eyes were blue and she had three butterflies on her skirt. I don't think humans have cutie marks, anyways. I turned around, looking at all the humans staring at me. They looked like my friends in Equestria.      I tried standing up, but my hooves were wobbly. I thought back to the note. Then everything until now. I soon realized what Twilight's note meant- that I'd be stuck as a pony, even going through the portal. I wished that I understood better. I don't think that 'people' would be very casual about a talking pegasus.       I finally stood up, realizing that the top of my head reached to their shoulders. I felt really wonderful being almost as tall as them. I couldn't move though, because all five were surrounding me, staring blankly. I saw one speak. "WOW!" One said. She had long, curly, poofy pink hair. I guess she looks like Pinkie Pie, so I'll call her that. Then I wondered if they speak English or Equestrian. My jaw closed and I tried flying over them, but the one that looks like me, grabbed me in a tight hug.       She started squeezing me tightly. So tight, I thought I'd burst! Do I really hug that tight? Well, she does! Much more of a bear hug than Henry the bear... The Rainbow one spoke now. "Uh, Fluttershy... I think you're squeezing her." She said. She let go, sheepishly smiling.      I took in deep breaths I lost, then tried getting out again. I flew over them, but landing on my flank.  They rushed over to me. Rainbow stared at me as if I were some kind of treasure found on a lost island. Rainbow Dash mumbled something to the pink human, then 'Pinkie Pie' dropped a brick on her head.    "Are ya alright?" I heard a voice call. I saw Apple Jack, and the rest behind her. I nodded. "Maybe she's one of those ponies from where Twilight's from." Rainbow Dash asked, getting some  nods. Then Pinkie Pie rushed to me. "Wait...... IS SHE A TALKING PONY?" She asked. Why does she talk soooo loud? My ears are ringing as I shrunk down. "Um, uh yes, sorta..." I said. They made the face I'm used to: The 'I-CAN'T-HEAR-YOU' Kind of face.    "What did she say?" Rainbow asked. I tried again. "I-I......I....." I tried over and over, but words were hard to come out. Rainbow shook her head. She motioned for Pinkie to come over and she smiled widely at me. It was kinda nice, but creepy. "Okay, Imma guess your name! I'm psychic! Okay.... is it... Jerry?" "Mm-mmh" "Banana tree?" "Mm-mmh" "Thomas Jefferson?" "Mm-mmh" "Uhhh.... I'm out. How about you, Dashie?" She asked. Rainbow walked over and I looked up. The room was dark and a lamp over my head. Still, I don't have a clue where I'm at. "Okay, so she's from Equestria, so she must be ONE of our alternates, right?" "Mm-mmh" "So she has pink hair and tail, yellow fur, blue eyes.... Who's that remind you of?" She asked, turning to Pinkie. She then pointed at the other me. All of the humans jumped when they realized who I was. "Fluttershy?"  They all asked, waiting for my answer. "Mm-Hm!" I answered. It was still hard to talk so I stayed shy, the way I always did. Lights flickered on as I saw a big bedroom with mostly pink things. Probably Pinkie's place. "Hey, you think she likes PARTIES? I sure do!" Pinkie said, bouncing around again. I nodded and tried my very hardest to speak. I gasped loudly. "Yay," I said. With that, I curled up on the bed and drifted to sleep.        It's night...........                                 ..............Humans sleep funny.......Like macaroni. I am awake, watching them snore, curled like macaroni. Pinkie slept like a stick, but then, I heard a knock at the door. It appears that Rainbow was awake already, since she went to open the door first. Then, a loud noise came from a clock.              *BRIIIIIIIIIIIIING BRIIIIIIIIIIIIING!" It scared me so much, I ducked under the covers, shivering like a camel lost in the arctic. I looked out, seeing the humans walk to the door. "You coming?" Rainbow asked me. "Um, okay." I answered. I trotted over to see who was at the door. I knew by the sound of them cheering: "Twilight!" So I went to say hi. Twilight was covered in a group hug, and She came to me, smiling. "The girls and I were wondering where you were! I'm so glad you're fine!" Twilight said, hugging me.      An hour later, the doorbell rang. Rainbow looked out of the peep-hole, seeing a delivery man. Carrying a box of pizza. She ran over while Pinkie unlocked the door.      "Twilight! Fluttershy! HIDE! They can't see you!" She said, waving her hands frantically in the air. I just ducked under the covers and squeaked. Twilight put the hoodie part of her sweater over her face, and her forelegs in her pocket. I didn't know she was so good at acting human and standing on two legs. That must be hard.      It was dark under the blankets, so I crawled out. Twilight whispered something to Rainbow, then she gave a 'thumbs up', as they call it, and headed for a costume trunk across the room. "Oh... um, the house is messy... you c-can't come in tonight, sorry!" I heard from downstairs. "N-no! no no no no! It's uh... um... a wild animal is up there.... yeah! And it's really, uh vague to explain..." I waited for Rainbow to get whatever she was getting, and then she turned around towards the hallway. "Rarityyyyyy! Another job for you!" she called, then a dash came by, revealing Rarity. She put..... things on me then within seconds she smiled, showing Rainbow.... me. "Woah, how'd you do that?" She asked. Rarity chuckled and smiled at her. "It's just a talent, dear." Was all she said before leaving the room. I looked in a mirror seeing a dog looking back. My ears were covered in yellow fabric with a white center and my wings had more yellow fabric covering it. My hooves painted to be paws and my tail stayed. My mane.... was a problem.      Steps were erupting from the stairs and I panicked, trying to give the best doggy face I could. Twilight, leaned against a wall in a corner cast a spell to make my mane invisible.  I saw her wink, then pull the hoodie back on.     I watched at the stepping noise grew louder and louder, then I started panting. I realized that's what dogs do, so I continued, but on purpose. Three people walked upstairs. I don't really recongnise them, but there were pretty.        One came to me laying a hand over my head. Maybe that's Lyra. Twilight told me about the Equestrian one. "Aww, such a cute little dog! Uh, big dog! She's adorable!" Lyra said, smiling. Rainbow gulped as her face turned pink. I gulped and tried licking her. Maybe I was doing a good job after all! Wait, why was I dressed like a- oh right...     The fabric on my back ripped a bit. I was afraid of the sound. Twilight was heard gulping and Apple did, too. I just hummed to myself, but remembered that dogs don't hum... It was too late. "Wait, did your dog just hum?" Another asked. She looked like Scootaloo, so I'll call her that, too.         Another that looked just like Sweetie Belle just shrugged and lay on the floor with her head against the bottom bed mattress. I just lay on the bed and watched them play a video game. I stretched before laying down, but then the fabric on my back ripped off.      Lyra turned around. "Hey, anyone hear that? Like the sound of ripping pants or something." she said. It hit Rarity like a lightning bolt, then she fainted. "Rarity ripped her pants?" Scootaloo asked.     I tried backing up, but Lyra turned around to me. "Somethings wrong with your singing dog," Lyra stated. "She's acting pretty strange. I'd get a doctor if I were you..." Then Pinkie couldn't take it. She tugged her hair in frustration then yelled: "SHE'SNOTADOGSHE'SATALKINGPONYANDIJUSTDON'TKNOWANYMORE!!!" She yelled. She ran off into the kitchen, banging her head on the counter really, really HARD. I tried barking, and it came out realistic. Lyra waved a hand. "Oh, Pinkie. That's just her." she said, turning to me. She then felt something on my sides. She gave a confused look then unfurled my wings. She gasped and then opened her mouth wider than a  snake, but I covered it with one hoof.     I looked at Twilight, who's eyes glowed through the hoodie. I guess she wanted me to do something. She stomped two left hooves then one right. I waited..... then  she pointed her wing up. I made a run for it.
