//-------------------------------------------------------// Lemon Pie -by Demonic Dragon- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The inside of a hospital is shown from the outside. A few nurses and doctors can be seen walking down the dimly lit halls. Some of them were holding clipboards and folders as they approached one of the many rooms. While others were either carrying towels, bedsheets, I.V tubes and blood-packs. As the nurses and doctors walked down the halls; one female nurse can be distinctively spotted in her dark blue uniform as she entered  a fairly large waiting room where a group of four ponies waited. There were only two adult ponies in the group; one was a skinny orange stallion with an orange mane and a carrot cutie mark. While the other was a light-blue mare with a light pink mane and a cutie mark of a cupcake. The other two were young foals. The first was a male pegasus with a brown mane and tail. His coat color was gray and white. The second was a female unicorn with matching mane and tail color and style. The filly had and orange coat. Both of them looked incredibly worried, and by the color of their eyes; which were red and puffy, they seemed to had been crying for a prolonged period of time. “How is she, nurse?” The stallion asked in a clearly worried tone. “Yeah,” The unicorn foal said in a trembling voice, “Is our auntie okay?” She continued. The nurse gave them a small smile before she turned back towards a door to the room; motioning her head for them to follow her. One by one the small group exited the waiting room and out into the dimly lit hall. The pegasus foal had an overwhelming sense of fear suddenly grip his mind. The way the hospital's hallway was lit reminded him of an old horror movie that he had watched with his sister past their bedtime once they were sure their parents were asleep. It was a movie about a family of cannibals; which lived in an abandon hospital, and the family had managed to trap a small group of college aged ponies. The pegasus released a shaky breath while his body started to twitch violently as goosebumps started to crawl over his body. He almost screamed when he felt a hoof touch his shoulder. When he turned his head to look at who was behind him; his mind was put at ease  for the hoof belonged to his sister, who also had a look of fear etched on her face. All she did was just give him a reassuring nod. Almost as if she was telling him it was going to be okay. “Okay. She is right down this hallway,” The nurse said in a voice that was void of emotion. The group the turned down another hallway that was filled with multiple doors. If the foals were not scared before; they were completely terrified now. The hallway looked exactly like the one from the movie. Where the final two remaining survivors were shown running down the hallway; only to have one of them dragged off into a room by one of the cannibals. While the final survivor had a giant hook impaled into his neck as he was dragged up into the ceiling; which was followed by a waterfall of blood falling from the ceiling. A loud series of coughs suddenly echoed through the hallway causing both foals to release screams of fear; then finding their mother gently wrapping her hooves around them. “It's okay,” She whispered to them in a motherly tone; while she gently kissed both of them on their foreheads, “Everything is fine.” She finished. The nurse then came to a stop at one single door at the end of the hallway. A dim yellowish-orange colored light can be seen narrowly through the top, bottom, and sides of the door. The nurse turned her head and brought one hoof up to her mouth; telling all of them to stay quiet as they entered the room. Slowly the nurse opened the door and stepped aside; allowing the family to enter to room. One by one they entered the room; allowing them to see a pink earth pony mare, resting on one of the hospitals beds. The mare's body was covered in sweat; her mane was almost straight, but it still had a few curls in it. The mare was holding something small in her forehooves. Whatever it was; it could not be seen, for it was wrapped in a small blue blanket. The mare then looked towards the family and gave them a small smile. “Hey, guys,” She said in a tired for that was just barely above a whisper, “How are all of you?” She asked just as both of the adults got to her sides. “Don't speak, Pinkie,” The orange stallion said as he gently nuzzled the side of her head, “Just rest for now.” He continued. “Besides,” The light-blue mare said as she placed a caring hoof around the mare, “It's us who are supposed to ask you that question.” She finished as she gently kissed the mare on her forehead; causing her to giggle a little. The mare heard a small sniffle come from the foot of her bed. She looked down and saw two heads belonging to two foals. The mare had a smile stretched across her face once again; she moved her head towards the light-blue ponies ear and whispered something. The mare's only reply was a simply nod; before she walked down to the foot of the bed and picked up the two foals and placed them on the bed. Allowing them to see the mare they had longed to see. “Hey, Pound. Hey, Pumpkin.” The mare greeted them in a tired, yet, happy voice. Both foals released small gasps as they walked up to the mare. Once they were close enough both foals hugged her and began to cry. Which caused the mare to gently nuzzle them while tears of her own fell from her eyes and onto their heads. “Aunt Pinkie!” The unicorn known as Pumpkin cried while she tightened her grip on the mare she called her aunt. For almost three hours- which felt like forever for her and her twin-  the two were worried beyond all reason. They had heard that their aunt had slipped into something called a coma. When they had asked what it was; the answer they had received sent them into a complete state of fear. To see their aunt wide awake, smiling, and talking to them; took away their fear and replaced it with nothing but unlimited happiness. “I-I knew you would be o-okay,” The pegasus known as Pound stuttered while he tried to stop the tears that fell from his eyes, “I-I knew you would be okay.” He repeated his voice dropping to that of just barely a whisper . Pinkie Pie, gently shushed the two as she felt them nuzzling her. It caused her to giggle a little as she remembered the times she had to comfort them. However, their tender moment was interrupted by a small cooing noise coming from the small blue bundle being held in her forehooves. Both of the twins looked at the bundle then back to her. She gave both of them a smile and gently pulled back a small piece of the blue blanket allowing both of them to see the face of a new born, pegasus  foal. The foal was dark yellow colored with a silver mane. “Wow.” Pound whispered as he stared at the newborn foal in amazement. “Ah,” Pumpkin said as she also stared at the foal amazement, “It's so cute.” She commented as their parents gazed at the newborn foal. “It's so beautiful, Pinkie.” Carrot cake sighed as memories of Pound and Pumpkin's birth flooded back into his mind. A few tears started to fall from his eyes; as he remembered the very first time he held his children. “What's the little ones' name?” Cupcake asked as she gently stroked the back of the foals covered head. Pinkie pie sighed as she gazed at her beautiful baby. Slowly she gently brought her foal up to her head and kissed her foal on its head. Feeling nothing but an endless amount of love for her foal. She never wanted to let her baby go; all she wanted to do was hold it in her arms and protect it from everything. Even when there was nothing from her to protect it from. She then said something but the four others could not hear what she had said. “What was that, dear?” Cupcake asked. “Lemon,” Pinkie pie said as tears from her eyes; before she hugged the foal closer to her, “Lemon Pie.” She sniffled as she watched the foal slowly opening her eyes. “She's.” Pound began but was interrupted. “He,” Pinkie pie quickly corrected, “It's a little boy.” She finished. “He's opening his eyes!” Pound cake almost shouted as they all watched the colt slowly open his eyes. At first all the colt could see was a solid, white, light. A few seconds later he saw five black silhouettes; only to have them slowly shift and take form. Allowing him to see five different colored ponies; who were all smiling happily. He began to giggle a little as his gaze shifted to the pink colored pony. He took in one deep breath and almost immediately he recognized the scent; It was the scent of his mother. He then sniffled and then started to cry loudly; he then felt himself being pulled closer to his mothers body. She then patted him gently on his back and whispered something to him; a few minutes later he had stopped crying, and once again he was being cradled in his mothers arms. He then heard a strange clicking sound. “Hello everypony,” The female nurse from before greeted as she walked into the room, “Have all of you been introduced to the newest addition?” She asked in a happy voice. As everypony talked to the nurse a strange presence got the attention of Lemon Pie. The small colt looked around the room in curiosity; until he caught sight of a strange, blue, translucent fog. Lemon had a slightly confused look appear on his face; just before he felt a  strange warming sensation move across his body. It caused him to giggle a little before he fell into a peaceful slumber in his mothers arms. Pinkie pie giggled a little before she kissed her foal on his forehead. “Sleep well, my baby.” She whispered into her baby's ear before she joined her child in the realm of dreams. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Celestia's early morning sun slowly stretched across the village of Ponyville, slowly waking the villagers as all of their days started to being. The building known as sugar cube corner is shown; just seconds before the inside of the building is shown. The building looked like every other building that was about to open. Its shelves were empty and it was very quiet inside the store. Except for the sound of two different sets of hooves walking softly upstairs. Upstairs two foals are shown slowly walking into a dimly lit room. The room was their old nursery where they used to sleep. It was now where their cousin slept. Pound turned and looked out the door to the nursery. Carefully he scanned the hallway before he sighed in relief. When he turned back towards his sister, a smile stretched across before he gave her a single nod. His sister returned his smile with one of her own before both of them walked towards their old crib where their newborn cousin peacefully slept. Pumpkin's horn started to glow with a dim yellow light. The light then surrounded her body and she was levitated into the air. Her brother hovered in the air right next to her. Both of them were looking over the railing of the crib and down at their baby cousin. “Aw,” Pumpkin cooed as she watched Lemon move to another position in his sleep. Lemon released a small sneeze before resting on his right side, “He's so cute.” She whispered. “Yeah,” Pound agreed as their cousin's small wings fluttered a little, “I wonder when he's going to start flying?” He asked before Lemon Pie started to open his eyes. “He's waking up.” Pumpkin almost shouted in excitement. Thankfully her brother was their to remind her to be quiet. Releasing a loud, long yawn, Lemon Pie's eyes slowly opened. He released a small cooing sound before looking up towards the top of his crib. He saw both of his older cousins floating in mid-air. Both of them were looking down at him with large smiles etched across their faces. He tilted his head to the left out of confusion. "Why were his cousin floating in the air? How were they able to do that? Why was there an orange glow surrounding his body?" Lemon Pie thought. “Up, you go Lemon Pie,” Pumpkin said in a sing-song voice as she levitated her cousin with her magic. Very gently and carefully, she levitated him up and over the railing before she gently lowered both herself and him down to the floor. Pumpkin then wrapped him in a very warm, caring and loving hug, “Did you sleep well?” She asked him to hear his happy laughter in response. “I think that's a yes,” Pound answered before he landed right next to them. He immediately got his cousins attention and before he knew it, his cousin had managed to break from from his sisters hug, and captured him in a hug of his own, “Good morning to you too, Lemon.” He said in a happy voice as he gently hugged his cousin. Pound heard his cousin giggling loudly as he hugged him. A few seconds later he reluctantly broke the hug and started to hoover in the air once again. He watched as his cousin released a small sniffle as he reached for him; just seconds before his little wings started to rapidly flutter. Lemon started to slowly float up into the air towards Pound; shocking both of his cousins. “He's flying,” Pumpkin said in a voice just barely above a whisper. A very happy smile quickly spread across her face, “He's flying!” She shouted out of complete happiness. “Good job, Lemon!” Pound said in a voice of complete happiness as he nuzzled him, “Really good job.” He finished before Pumpkin used her magic to join them with their happy flight. Unknown to all three of them they were being watched by the Element of Laughter. She was peeking in through a small opening in the door; a very happy and proud smile beamed across her face. It made her very happy to see that her child and his cousins were happily getting along. She waited patiently for them to calm down before she entered the room. “Good morning my little ponies,” Pinkie Pie happily greeted causing all three of them to look towards her. Pound and Pumpkin smiled happily at the sight of their favorite aunt. Lemon laughed while he lifted his arms up, asking for his mother to pick him up, “Did you all sleep well?” She asked while she picked her baby up. She hugging him close to her while she kissed him on the forehead. Hearing him laughing loudly and nuzzling her affectionately, “I'll take that as a yes.” She finished before she started to carry her baby back to her room with both Pound and Pumpkin right behind her. “Aunt, Pinkie?” Pound asked as they walked down the hallway. "Yes, Pound?" “Are our mommy and daddy up yet?” “Yes, Pound,” Pinkie answered before she opened the door to her room, “They're both down in the kitchen.” She finished as she walked towards her bed. “Okay,” Pound said before he turned towards his sister, “Come on, lets' go see if mom and dad need help opening the shop.” He finished seconds before both of them started to make their way down stairs. Pinkie Pie couldn't keep herself from giggling happily as she set her baby down on her bed, “Those two are going to be very good owners of this shop one day,” She said as she crawled onto the bed and laid down next to her baby who started to gently push on her a little, causing her to giggle, “Are you hungry, my baby?” She asked before turning on her left side; allowing her little one access to her teats. She smiled happily as she felt him latch onto one of her teats and began to suckle; sighing with happiness, she gently rubbed her baby's back and stared at him with nothing but pure love, “Mommy, loves you.” She whispered before lying her head back down onto her bed smiling happily as she bonded with her foal. In a matter of minutes Pinkie Pie was downstairs with everypony else. Lemon Pie happily rode on his mothers back as she walked into the kitchen. Lemon began to notice that not only his cousins were with him again; but also his Aunt Cupcake and his Uncle Carrot Cake. A smile of excitement was on his face as his aunt walked over to them. “Good morning, Pinkie,” Cupcake greeted as she hugged her dear friend before focusing her attention on her nephew. Technically he wasn't her nephew by blood; but Pinkie Pie has become very close to Cupcake and Carrot Cake that they are practically family. “And good morning to you, Lemon.” She happily greeted as she picked him up and hugged him. “Did you sleep well Pinkie?” Carrot Cake asked while he walked up to her and hugged her as well. “Yes, how about you guys?” She asked receiving nods from both of them before Cupcake set her baby back down onto the floor. Lemon began to slowly crawl over to his cousins who were more than happy to start playing with him once again, “Looks like they slept well too.” She commented as Pumpkin started to use her magic to levitate Lemon up and down in the air. “Yes, they did,” Cupcake answered before she felt a small hoof tap her on her left foreleg. Looking down she saw her daughter looking back up at her, “Yes, Pumpkin?” She asked. “Mommy, can we go outside and play?” Pumpkin asked receiving a nod from her mother before she ran back to her brother and her cousin, “She said 'yes'.” She said in a voice of complete happiness. In a matter of minutes all three of them were outside in the backyard. The backyard had multiple items; one was a rather large sandbox, which had a few toys used to either make sand castles or to dig in the sand. The other item was a swing set that had two swings and a small slide. All three foals were sitting in the sandbox; Pound and Pumpkin were halfway done with building a large sandcastle while Lemon was digging a large hole in the sand. “Okay, Sis. Go ahead and put the next wall on,” Pound said while receiving a nod from his sister; before she carefully placed the sand filled mold next to the castle. She gently tapped the top of the mold with the shovel she was using; then she slowly lifted it upwards leaving the perfect image of castle wall made completely out of sand, “Nice job!" He said before he lifted his hoof up and hoof-bumped his sister. Lemon looked towards his cousin and smiled happily; slowly he got to his hooves and then started to rapidly flutter his wings allowing him to hover in the air; before he started to slowly fly towards them. When he was about halfway to them; a sudden gust of wind suddenly caught him, knocking him out of the air and into their castle. Sand not only covered his little body but it also covered both of his cousins. Slowly he got up on his front hooves and began to cry loudly; when he landed on the sand, he landed a little to hard and it had hurt. “Lemon!” Pumpkin almost shouted in a voice filled with nothing but worry. She quickly wrapped her cousin in a loving hug and began to rock him; although he was still crying he had managed to calm down a little, “Oh, it's okay Lemon. Shh, shh. It's okay.” She whispered while she gently rubbed his back. Trying her best to calm him down. Pound quickly got to his sister side and wrapped his wings around both of them. He then wrapped his forehooves around the two; capturing both of them in a loving group hug. “It's okay, Lemon.” He said in a very gentle voice; while Lemon released a few small sniffles, “Yeah, you're okay. You're okay.” He finished. The three stayed liked that for a few minutes before Lemon released a loud yawn. Pumpkin couldn't help but giggle; she always found it cute whenever her cousin yawned, and when she saw him nodding off. She knew that he was about to fall back to sleep. Looking up to the sky she saw that it looked to be mid-afternoon. It was around the time when Lemon would take his afternoon nap. She used her magic to levitate and place him onto her back. Pound walked alongside her, and placed his wing on Lemon's back. Lemon smiled happily before they started to walk back their home. In just a few short seconds; both of them had walked back upstairs and entered their cousins room. They wanted to tell their parents and their aunt; except all of them looked very busy, and by the number of customers, they were going to possibly kept busy until closing time. Both of them heard Lemon release another loud yawn. With a smile Pumpkin used her magic and levitated Lemon back into his crib. She gently laid him down onto his bed; but, when his tiny body made contact with his bed. He whined a little an raised his hooves up into their; almost as if he was trying to grab a hold of something. “Lemon, what's wrong?” Pound asked. “Pumpkin. Pound.” Lemon said which caused both of his cousins eyes to go wide in shock. Slowly Pound turned his head to face his sister; who was already staring at him. Both of their mouths were open wide; while their brains tried to process what they had just heard their cousin say. “Did he just?” “I think so.” “I can't believe he just.” “Talked.” Pumpkin finished while Lemon turned to face them. He reached for both of them with his hooves. “Pound. Pumpkin.” He called out with a small whimper. Both of them finally understood what their cousin wanted. With a spark of magic from Pumpkin's horn; she gently lifted both of them into their air and into the crib. Allowing both of them to comfortably cuddle up next to him. Before both of them fell into the comforting embrace of sleep; Pound and Pumpkin saw a faint smile on Lemon's face while he sighed happily feeling the comforting warmth of his cousins.
