“You guys...You hadn’t forgotten about me? You still thought of me as your friend?” A mysterious voice begins, not a My Little Pony fanfic, not a Legend of Zelda game, but a true story. He bows his head in shame.

The response to his question was a familiar song sung by four giants as they walked in four different directions.

The scarecrow like man turns and looks at the young boy who had just defeated the evil force that had taken control of his body and spirit. “Did you...Did you save me? I thought they didn’t want to be friends with me …” he said, looking in the direction one of the giants went. “But...They hadn’t forgotten about me...Friends are a nice thing to have....” He mustered a slight giggle.

“Could you be my friend too?” he asks. Skull kid, as he was called, then waddles over to the green clad hero, smells him, and laughs. “You have the same smell as the fairy kid who taught me that song in the woods...I know, I know! Let’s do something!”

He is interrupted by a confusing man holding a colorful mask. “Oh...So the evil has left the mask after all...Well, now...I finally have it back. Since I am in the midst of my travels...I must bid you farewell. Shouldn’t you be returning home as well? Whenever there is a meeting, a parting is sure to follow. However, that parting need not last forever. Whether a parting be forever or merely for a short time...That is up to you. With that, please excuse me...” He begins to walk away and then, mid stride, vanishes into thin air, carrying the same spirit, in the form of a mask, which caused this havoc.

After he had vanished a woodland fairy, Tatl, attempts a good - by, “Well, both of us have gotten what we were after...So this is where you and I part ways isn’t it? You know...it was kind of fun. Well...it’s almost time for the Carnival of Time to begin...So, why don’t you just leave and go about your business? The rest of us have a carnival to go to.”

The hero jumps on his horse and rides towards home into the rising sun.

“LINK!” the woodland fairy shouts.

The hero, known as Link, did not break his gallop. He must find Navi, his own fairy.

“Thank you.”

Somehow, Navi has found her way into the bustling town square of Ponyville, which is in mid-rampage on a parasprite infestation. Navi is confused by all of these … fairies? They did not have the glowing aurora she herself possessed, yet they looked identical otherwise. She had seen colored fairies, but they all glowed. Every time she attempted to talk to anyone, even a pony (which seemed her only option), they would scream in terror, as if her herself were one of these abomination to fairy kind, whatever they were.

That’s when she heard a song coming from behind her. She turned to see a pink pony with one of the craziest hair style she had ever seen playing what appeared to be a tuba, accordion, banjo, harmonica, and other instruments she could not see. She noticed the colorful flying balls bouncing behind the pony to the beat of the music. She would never stoop to that level, so she hind in a dark alley until the music faded into the distance. Hoping that after they were gone, everyone would calm down enough to explain the situation.
